Right now I'm reading the manga Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and it reminded me a lot of the Japanese and Chinese poetry I used to read.

I guess this might be a tricky one but I'm not demanding any sort of high-brow poetry VN, just something that really induces a feeling of the "fleeting life". Mono no aware in the sense of "beauty in impermanence".

A lot of VNs probably has elements of mono no aware but I'm looking for something where this is more of the focus. In manga, think Aria, Yotsubato or the above mentioned Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

Sorry for being difficult and thanks in advance,

Niku

Konakana (Konata Yori Kanata Made)

Koisuru Doll to Omoi no Kiseki

Eden*

Sakura, Sakimashita

Satsukoi

Tokyo Babel

Dekinai Watashi ga, Kurikaesu (main heroine only)

Hotel. (the one by Akatsuki Works Black)

Tsukiakari Lunch

Natsuyume Nagisa

Hikoukigumo no Mukougawa (the redheaded main heroine only)

Amongst these, the ones that fit the tightest to the theme you want are Satsukoi, Hotel., Dekinai Watashi, Eden*, Konakana, and Sakura, Sakimashita.  In particular, I recommend Hotel, Eden*, and Konakana.

Edit:  Understand, the ones that hit on this theme the hardest are 'end of the world', 'apocalypse', and utsuge.  A straight nakige probably won't do a very good job of it (the knowledge that it will always end happily tends to ruin the feeling).   Tokyo Babel just barely fits for it because of the protagonist's own sense of life and death and the setting.   Some renai drama will also manage this (Hikoukigumo), but even most of them don't manage it...  I almost listed Uruwashi no here, but it doesn't really fit, either.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, maybe because I didn't sleep last night, I forgot to mention that I don't read Japanese. None of these seem to be translated, at least from what I can see on vndb. I am starting to study Japanese though so I'll keep this list for when I get a better hang of it.

I realized Narcissu might fit the bill, though. At least from what I can remember, it handles the impermanence of life, if anyone is interested (I already played it).

I wonder if this kind of thing doesn't go well with western audiences since none of the ones you were so kind to list have any translation. Such a shame.

To get back to the more peaceful side of that "genre", I sort of had this kind of feeling with Katawa Shoujo. It's all the more surprising considering it's not even a japanese VN but that's the thing I played that comes the closest to an Aria/YKK sensation in my opinion.

In the pool of translated VNs I'm not aware of other potential candidates (I don't think nakige sit well with this either) but I'm not an expert.

Swan Song might be good for you, amongst translated VNs (I definitely think it's better than Katawa shoujo for this type of thing), but it's not quite right either.
