Tay's Avatar (2014 Edition)

Many moons ago I asked a very simple question: would changing my avatar (in any fashion) disrupt the fabric of the community and/or space-time continuum? At that time the answer was "yes". Overwhelmingly so. Maybe it has to do with the fact that my avatar has not changed since I joined the site in 2012. Or maybe it's because my avatar is lucky and grants wishes to its followers. Regardless of the reason, the people had spoken, and my avatar remained unchanged for another year (or so).

 

The holidays are once again upon us, and once again I'm tempted to add a santa hat to my avatar. This thread's selections, specifically, have caught my eye.

 

 

I'd like to once again ask the community: how would you feel about me changing my avatar? How strongly do you feel about that opinion? Would you feel differently if, for example, if I combined all 15 santa hats into some glorious Santa-hat-stravaganza and crowned my extant avatar with it?

It is my scientifically-backed opinion that changing your avatar will cause Proxima Centauri to go supernova. Thankfully that won't affect us for another ~4 years, so I guess changing your avatar shouldn't be a problem.

A santa hat should be fine, as long as the original image is recognizable. If you change completely though, I'm pretty sure the fabric of the fuwuniverse will be irrevocably torn apart and replaced by adult-eating spectres.

How about we reverse the table and ask: "Do you want to change your avatar, Tay?"  

You shouldn't be forever binded to a single avatar just because people get butthurt over change the fabric of the fuwuniverse will be irrevocably torn apart and replaced by adult-eating spectres.

Why Tay should use a Dr Evil avatar (aside from Dr Evil being totally awesome :3)

 

•  Dr Evil graduated from a prestigious evil medical school, and Tay will also be graduating from medical school. However Tay never said whether the school he's attending is “evil/wicked” or “normal/dull,” and I (for one) find this omission to be incredibly suspicious. Too incredibly suspicious. The ONLY conclusion a rational person can draw is to take his HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS omission as a BLATANT admission to the former.
•  Dr Evil has “Mini Me” and Tay has “SB”. I’ve been told (by reliable sources) that these 2 people are pretty much identical.

 

Now, if we apply the old adage "Once is happenstance, Not quite twice is conicidence, but TWICE is just freakily weird" we can only conclude that the similarities between these two awesome people (Tay and Dr Evil) are just "Freakily Weird." I hearby propose Tay uses a Doctor Evil avatar to commemorate this event that only Fate herself could have brought about. Also once again, Dr Evil is totally awesome :3

I am all for a change of avatars, so long as the character therein presented remains constant. Santa hats are welcome additions.

I haven't changed my avatar since I first joined either. Although, if you're just adding a Santa hat and are going to change it back after Christmas, than I fully approve. But just remember, those of us that have not changed our avatars are a rare species in the Fuwa-universe.
