Turnip Sensei Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Watched Ping Pong the Animation and loved it. The unusual, but cool animation style, interesting characters and subtly presentation are what made the show for me. The table tennis matches were exiting as well, but I was mostly interested in the characters. And Ping Pong did a really good job with the character development. It was really heartwarming to see the characters getting lost in life, searching and sometimes finding their way forward. The subtle presentation helped a lot, it was nice too see change through actions rather than pointing it out in dialogue. My favorite part of the show was definitely the Christmas eve. Wenge's karaoke performance created a amazing stage to highlight the current state and struggles of the characters without explicitly saying anything. That was some beautiful directing. Quote
Abyssal Monkey Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Strike the Blood is so good. This pain... I have to laugh at how stupid the writers are. I was probably never going to watch the show anyway, but that has changed to a definitely never. It's this kind of shit that ruined Code:Breaker. Naggy characters who attempt to change the dramatic focus of the battle from "I'm pissed, it's wrecking time" to "Yay, friendship!" ruin fight scenes. The only time you are allowed to interrupt a dramatic fight scene like that and get away with it is by breaking the tension with a gag character, or arriving with a huge ass overwhelming army in tow. Even then, doing it more than once in a long while will ruin everything. Doing it literally defeats the entire purpose of the buildup writing, so the only time you can interrupt it is if you use it as a platform for even greater buildup. Quote

Monmusu is up there with Sora no Otoshimono in terms of how stupid something can be and still entertain the hell out of me. I can't tell whether that makes it great, or makes me an idiot. But I'm still watching... Quote
SilverLi Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Watched the first season of Love Live. Entertaining and it is nice with all different songs. Onto the second season. Quote

LiquidShu Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Currently on episode 6 of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. It feels like it will be a mixture of Aldoah.Zero and Guilty Crown. Of coarse this came before either of those, but I watched them first. Have a friend who is in love with Code Gaess so I do have high hopes for this series. All of the characters, openings, action scenes, potential romance partners, and art style are lit. Not to mention it has a good amount of comedy in it so far too. Quote

Suzu Fanatic Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Second season of Log Horizon, episode 13. I don't think the writers know what they are doing anymore. -_- Quote
Nosebleed Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Second season of Log Horizon, episode 13. I don't think the writers know what they are doing anymore. -_- I don't think they ever knew to begin with. It's anime like Log Horizon S2 that make Studio Deen the meme it is today. Quote
Down Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 The writer of the LN isn't even working at Deen......... Quote
Nosebleed Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 The writer of the LN isn't even working at Deen......... I'm bashing the anime, not the LN, though. I'm pretty sure it's not entirely the LN's fault the anime was so shitty, even if the staff from season 1 was present in season 2 as well, someone definitely did drugs while writing the script for season 2. The second season feels like the director and script writers didn't talk to the author and just spewed nonsense onto a script and animated it. Suzu Fanatic and FinalChaos 2 Quote

Kosakyun Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Good thing I decided to not dive into season 2. The ending of season 1 was just so disappointing, since everything was going well. Anyway, still watching Guilty Crown. Finally passed Episode 9, which was where I stopped four years ago. Or was it three years? Well, whatever. At the time of its premiere, I guess. The show actually got better after the episode that I stopped on. I'm going full force with this show now. GAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Just finished ep 22 of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Holy crap, Lelouch lost control of his Geass and shit realllly hit the fan. I was agape at how that episode went, especially at the end when Lelouch started crying. This show is brilliantly entertaining so far. Edit: Finished ep 23, I thought last episode shit hit the fan... Eclipsed Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Watched the Corpse Party Tortured Souls OVA. I don't know why, but I went into this assuming they would follow the VN's true ending, and was horrified pleasantly surprised that they didn't This is where I'm glad to have an anime adaptation available after reading something, because getting able to visually see some of the more horrifying scenes being played out rather than being limited to a textual description does wonders sometimes. I would do a misc. thoughts/ramblings, but frankly I'll probably go crazy if I have to mention That Yuka dies. Pretty graphically too. Not gonna lie, I legit teared up. Whoops, I menatiensdit......KDSGJSLDK;Q3o33331111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 ~~ Oh yeah... that ending ending though... Is a fking masterpiece LOL. Literal gold. Had me laughing like a madman. Seriously. I always did wonder what would happen if someone didn't use one of the original Sachiko paper fragments. Or w/e the fk they did wrong Simply brilliant. Quote
SilverLi Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I'm watching Love Live season 2. It is entertaining but expected so far. But I don't know what I want to watch next. Thinking about grabbing the first anime which starts with A and move on. I think I got 130 on my Cloud server today. Quote
