Laughing at the face of terrorism is one way of dispelling its effort to achieve, well, terror. Whereas Ebola-chan just makes fun of tons of people dying while the rest of the world doesn't give a fuck. I'm not sure how effective it is, and I can't say it doesn't feel weird to see how casual people are about the lives of the hostages, but I can hardly see it as a bad thing.
