Well hello there Mina-san. I'm glad to see you've come to the experts to get some good advice when it comes to running a visual novel from Pulltop. Sadly, Mephisto is unable to join us this evening, but I'll definitely tell him you said hello!

You'd be surprised how many people ask the same question Mina, so don't worry about it too much. You see, playing a moe porn game from Pulltop is a little unique. Not only do you need to change your unicode settings to Japanese, but you also need to change your format entirely! To give you an idea, here are some screenshots:

Easy as pie! If you follow those steps and make sure your game is set to a Japanese format, your problems should cease to exist.

I thought this was a joke at first. Didn't actually realize Pulltop made things a bitch to run, so nice job Run. I doubt anyone willa ctually read it and Fuwa will still get 300 questions a year about it, but its the thought that counts.

This is something that is necessary for other games such as Irotoridori no Sekai (and probably other Favorite games because of that).

 

I'd have argued such a trifle process wouldn't need a dedicated tutorial with pictures and all but my faith in people's resourcefulness when it comes to computers has been steadily going down over the years.

I've noticed my "reset" trick isn't nearly as effective as it used to be. And it's hardly effective at all for solving language issues on the computer

I've searched all over for a solution and after everyone pointing me to this page, the images don't pop up from the spoilers. I know this works since everyone that mentioned it said it worked for them. Just my luck that I can't even see it

As I can see, it is actually for the old Pulltop/WillPlus titles.

All new games (I think since 2019?) by WillPlus and their sub-brands (AdvHD.exe file) should normally run in UTF-8.
