I've seen people on the localization forums say they're interested in short games with H-content because they're working age with families, busy, and don't have much time for anything else.

Story is overreated, art is pretty important, relationship development okay, MC VA why are you even reading VNs?

 

The only real reason the genre is alive is because of H so that should be companies #1 priority and it seems consumers as well, thats why Nukiges are the best.

Visual Novels in japan is porn, why do you think all ages there gets crushed? In porn you watch someone fucking, in VN you are the one fucking. Character development and all that jazz is just a mean to an end: H. Remove H and you kill the genre forever.

 

Only console VNs can have all ages VNs doing well.

Everyone knows who Key is, their name is what keeps them afloat (Besides even them release H after a while like half their games). Type Moon as well or Fate i guess. In general VNs are just another form of porn and thus H is the most important aspect. You can have all the character development you want but if it doesnt lead to H is pointless. I guess is diferent in the west but the west doesnt matter (O its not for japanese devs as a whole).

 

Thats why Nukige companies can put out many games and still make profit (Like say BISHOP that puts at least two games a year for much success).

Key VNs arent pointless for no H, as said even them knows their market cares for H enough to add them later (Great business strategy at that). See even Key knows the H is pretty important.

Actually I beg to differ. Nukiges are the best because that's what Shigeo Hamashima draws and if she was into women I'd learn Japanese and go lesbo for her.

 

I swear I've been fangirling over her for 2 weeks straight now.

 

I was disappointed that ClockUp was in 10th place in terms of companies and that Fratnite didn't make it on the list of wanted VNs. Call me obsessed.

Well, Flowers being near the top is nice, though I'd have wished for okujou no yurirei-san to be up there... hopefully it's below the fold but decently high up #futilehopes

 

I wonder if the Flowers sequel (aka Flowers natsu hen) will be better than the first which was apparently decently good but a bit underwhelming. Sigh...

Not all plots work without sex. That one path in IMHHW and stories pertaining to prostitution or rape. It's the same as anything else. Some stories don't work told from a male character's POV or some stories don't work without gore.

Well most games doesnt need the specific H, just a mention that it happened. Most sex is tacked on because of how important H is.

I enjoy a lot of the scenes for the character development. If a story is done well then little things like how a character reacts to a certain motion says a lot about a character and a couple's relationship. At least this is true in M// related works. I find that VNDB lists like every female in a MxF scenario to be a virgin girl. M// is always so complex about their H-scenes. If a M// H-scene is about the sex and just the sex it was done wrong.
