Any steam/digital download VN's that are 10$ or under worth getting?

I already picked up If My Heart Had Wings a while back, so that's out. But I have an small amount of extra cash and want to know if there's anything I should be picking up. It has to be translated/have a translation patch as well.

What is Nekopara, exactly? Is long? Is it an actual VN with routes or just a dating sim? I'd get the 18+ patch, if that lengthens the game any longer.

I don't know the contents in the all ages version because I bought the 18+. But it is a linear VN with no choices. The guilty pleasure is catgirls. it isn't that long. Below 10 hours. Almost every VN below 10£ are short ones.

Analogue: A Hate Story and its sequel Hate Plus are both $9.99. You might want to look into them a little to determine whether you might have any interest, though.

Honestly, Planetarian and Hate Story are the only worthwhile ones atm, the rest are pretty much just short, brainless fluff.

(but my standards are a bit harsh when it comes to the stuff that hits Steam)

 

EDIT: actually I take that back, Fault - Milestone One and World End Economica Chapter 1 are good reads - if you don't mind when a dev splits up and sells a story in multiple parts. -_-

I really liked the free part. It was so free I have barely seen a more free game. Free.

Not many are, most are butchered releases, If my heart had wings had massive cg edits/cuts, and one entire route was completly redone from the orignal game. Various others are all ages versions with various cuts and edits: Littlewitch romanesque, princess evangile to name 2 recent ones. I'd reccomend you get the non-steam releases so you got the orignal 18+ version.

 

I still really want a english translation of the 18+ ver of Aselia the Eternal, did you know they removed over 260 cg's going from the 18+ to the all ages version? along with an entire route as well. Its an offical all ages version but still.

eden* is 9.99 dollars right now, probably (50% off, it's also 9.99 euros so I can't be sure, goddamn steam scams.) Sale ends 11 April. There is an adult version but that was an append disk and the content is accessed through the start screen rather than the main storyline, so not necessary in any way. Slight bit more blood and nudity in actual storyline w/ it as well. Basically tho, not butchered~
