Introduction
Welcome, fellow Fuwamembers, to the FuwaRecognition thread. Starting this March, we’ll be highlighting some of the best contributions made by our members each month. From snazzy blog articles to delicious forum threads, and perhaps even a few things more on the shitpost part of the spectrum, we'll keep an eye out for the cream of the crop. And then we'll gather them here. Just for you.

A-hem, so this is the f
Today I will be reviewing All You Need is Kill. I read the manga adaptation written by Ryosuke Takeuch and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, though it was originally a Japanese novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
Type: Manga
Volumes: 2
Chapters: 17
Series Status: Finished
Published: 2014
Genres: Science Fiction, Action, Military, Supernatural, Time Loop
The background for the story is that the world has been attacked by an alien race known as Mimics. Kiriya is a soldier going out to his first ba
Hey what's up, Satsuki here, welcome to my chan--- Wait, this is not Youtube...
*cough* Anyway, today I will do a review on Kujiragami no Tearstilla, a moege made by Whirlpool released in February 2015. You can download it fr--- oopsie. You can get a copy from AmiAmi, or just ask OriginalRen for some cheaper options. I noticed some people from Fuwa already played this game and gave it some pretty bad scores, but who care, my policy is "there is no problem as long as I like it". With that in min
To be honest, I generally dislike Giga's non-Baldr VNs, simply because the dip in quality (outside of visuals) is so sharp it isn't even funny. From dialogue and narration to voices and music, it is unbelievable how little comparative effort this company puts into its non-Baldr games.
That said, this is actually quite a decent charage... though I do have some serious complaints. I'll go ahead and get those complaints out of the way first.
Cons
First, for all that the sound effects are
And so we begin...really really late. Sorry bout that but RL got hectic for a few weeks. PS: I cut this blog post down from 3,000 words, to less than 1,500. You're welcome
Welcome to the start of my blog series. The way I’ll organise this critique is to go through different writing techniques first, and then showcase how they were badly used by Winged Cloud. Unfortunately due to very strict time-constraints I’ll have to split this first entry into 2 components, so in this blog post I’ll disc
Yeah, I know, this picture is actually nothing like the protagonist, lol.
True Ending
Ok, first this game stops well short of being a kamige, so don't expect me to give hands-down praise of it... but I will say this is the first VN I've played that uses the G-Senjou story structure and doesn't short the heroine routes. I can say that conclusively, having finished all the paths. Those who have encountered my virulent hatred of Aiyoku no Eustia will probably be surprised to hear this
Sena
Sena is another active type of heroine... the lazy martial artist heroine. With anything other than pursuing self-training, she is lazy, and she is also a glutton. Generally speaking, she's good if you like boyish heroines with a tendency toward sexually harassing other girls.
Her path split is shortly after Kokone's, so there is not really much in the way of extra character development... but in exchange, her route is probably the most detailed of all the heroine routes. Not only
Kokone
Kokone is the strict but gentle 'older sister' of the group. She is very devoted to her duty, as well as to the safety and happiness of the 'family'. Her character archetype is really easily recognizable from the beginning, so I'm sure most will find it easy to understand her.
Her path, much like the two before it, starts from a split at the end of the next chapter. The events leading up to the split are - again - saddening and painful for the protagonist, and again he has to giv
NIS may be know for their Disgaea series or various RPGs that encourage grinding and obtaining highly inflated stats, but they’ve also had a history with publishing adventure games (or rather, visual novels) for the console audience…not that many of them have gone west or even gained recognition beyond a small but dedicated fanbase. For their 20th anniversary, […]<img alt=" border="0" src="https://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=awesomecurry.wordpress.com&blog=14339326&post=2345&subd=awes
Airu
Airu is the game's 'fushigi-chan', or a girl who is mysterious/acts oddly. Generally speaking, her role in the earliest parts of the VN is fairly weak, but in the chapter leading up to the split for her route, she suddenly gains density and roundness as a character, and there is a definite sense that she is someone the protagonist might choose over his objective.
Airu's route is a bit less of a depressing wind-down than Nono's is, if only because Airu's relationship to the protagonis
Believe it or not, I technically made a nanoreno VN. Technically. This was, actually, pretty much exactly what I scoped to begin with. I mean, I started actual work on the twenty-eighth, and I’m a slacker. I finished on the thirtieth, but was too lazy to build a distro (also I had to scramble to do […] View the full article
Because this VN uses the same basic structure as G-senjou no Maou, the 'common route' is actually the 'true route', so I felt a need to evaluate each heroine route separately from it. People who have read my comments on the forums will realize I despise the structure, because it has a tendency to be an excuse for h-scenes and inconsistent half-assed side endings (Eustia and G-Senjou are both perpetrators of this particular crime). Keeping that in mind, I'm going to strive for something resembl

Warning: Super slight spoilers ahead. Kidding, there's none.
If players think that the game's common route is more or less average, I say that is an understatement. The common route surprised me in many ways. The pacing and they way the story was structured is very unique, which made me realized that both the common route and our main character himself, Okonogi Masaya, are a breath of fresh air.
Let me give you a super short synopsis of the route first. The story is set in an all-girls sch
I'm going to avoid Saga Planets' new game for now, because I'm getting a lot of mixed signals... even if I set aside the fact that all the highest votes on it are by troll and duplicate troll accounts. As such, it came down to a contest between Shirogane Spirits (by Giga) and 11gatsu no Arcadia (by a new company named Levol). Naturally, being wary of anything non-Baldr by Giga, I've chosen to play 11gatsu no Arcadia.
As some of you might know, today is World Autism Awareness Day.
Why I care: I have Asperger’s Syndrome, also known as high-functioning Autism.
Why you care: 1% of the population has autism. That’s 3.5 million people, just in the U.S. (autismsociety.org)
Here are some helpful tips for understanding/interacting with said people:
It is not uncommon for people with autism to be uncomfortable when making eye contact. Around 99% (this may or may not be a real statistic) of people with au
Today’s review, which I got both super lazy and super not inspired to write, is on Chaos;Head. I still think I managed to do the game justice. Hopefully. Chaos;Head is the first VN of the Kagaku Adventure series, product of the collaboration between Nitro+ and 5pb. The visual novels of this series, written by Naotaka Hayashi, are science-fiction stories set around our present time. Whatever our hobby is there are always these once in a while moments when we get a chance to experience something that makes us glad we have this hobby, it defines and gives reason why we love what we do. Dies Irae is one such visual novel for me.
Written by Takashi Masada, Dies Irae was his most ambitious work at the time. The game was a bit of a mess when it was first released. However it gained enough popularity and allowed Masada to redo the script, add two more routes, and polish up the

This VN, like most of Rosebleu's VNs, is a fantasy/comedy VN. In this case, it is based in another world, where the protagonist was summoned and helped defeat the Demon King with his ex-girlfriend the Hero Scyana, the perverted swordmaster Hairen, and the berserk cleric Fran.
The story actually begins after all these events have occurred and the protagonist has broken up with Scyana (for good reason), and he has started to attend an academy in the kingdom's capital city. As is to be exp
Welcome to Ryechu’s Nukige Corner, where I introduce you to Nukige titles you may not have heard of before. For those who aren’t in the know, the term “nukige” refers to games that focus solely on sexual content. The plots of these games serve only to set the scene for the H-Scenes. If these types of games are of interest to you, read on! Released late in 2013 and translated into English by Lv1 Translations less than a year later, おとメイド@cafe (Otomaid@Cafe) is a short and sweet nukige by Otoko
Loli-Clephas recently emerged from Clephas' mouth, beginning a reign of terror in which billions have already perished, their blood staining her massive metal teeth, their flesh sliding down her throat. As the universe trembles at the unleashing of this, the most beautiful and terrible of all the monsters ever conceived in the depths of the Abyss, Clephas himself is busy playing VNs for his VN of the Month blog, having allowed his female self free reign to indulge her hungers for the first time
Naoko
Naoko is the protagonist's adopted big sister. She has an extremely straightforward personality, and she tends to spoil the protagonist rotten while thinking she's doing the reverse.
Unfortunately, her path, like Kirsti's, is lacking in the kind of ending drama that tended to characterize Minato's two big hits. I don't know whether they did it deliberately or not, but the path left me feeling unsatisfied, despite the fact that the VN as a whole is at least moderately amusing.
