  1. Hello Fuwanovel, I would like to let you know about a project I've been working on for the past months. I just now finally started a fundraising campaign on indiegogo so if you feel like supporting me, there is that option. It is a light novel in the writing style of visual novels (that's why I chose this section, there is no LN talk forum) about all the mysteries of a particular Broken World. Of course it has some changes since it is in a book format and so the lines can be longer and are not limited to the game window, but the feeling I am aiming for is the same as of a VN. Anyways to read more about the project and all the options to support it, please visit: A PROMISE FROM THE BROKEN WORLD - PROJECT PAGE UPDATE: second part of chapter 1 (following the events of the prologue) is available HERE And one more time as a reminder, only donate to the project if you want to support me. It is after all not only a project for this one novel but also a project to give me a chance to show what I am truly capable of and help me become even better at it. Please also use this topic to ask any questions about me, the project, the style used, the story and the characters or even the funding options. I will do my best to answer them thoroughly while avoiding any spoilers of the key events of the book (at max it will be some very vague hint in a spoiler tag). And lastly... May the love and the lolis be with you~

  4. Current Game - Clover Day's クローバーデイズ Current Route - None Next Stream Date - Complete! Another day, another video project. Thanks to astro, the current project lead in the English translation group of Clover Day's, I have received a copy of a partial English patch for the game's common route. Grieviious and I will be streaming this patch on my Hitbox account for those that are interested in checking it out when the translation is finished. FeeI free to follow along as we stream, and we hope you enjoy watching! Note: Please realize that this patch is not the complete common route patch, and anything shown on the stream may be subject to change for the final release. Additional Information: https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/4771-clover-days-translation-project Previous Videos: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7ivNNDDfsj5N2EybmpwTWFqYU0&authuser=0 For those that are not familiar with the visual novel, feel free to check out the opening video and summary of the game below: Opening: It was a buried memory. It was an eternal oath. It was a wish from the heart. It was a regret kept for eternity. And a childhood promise— Yuuto was raised in an orphanage in England. He was taken to Japan after being adopted by Yoshiomi Takakura, an executive of his business. Yuuto, who couldn’t speak Japanese, was supported by his twin sister-in-laws, the bright and shy Anzu, and the cool and reliable Anri, along with the innocent and gentle Tsubame, and the showy and devious Izumi. The young boys and girls were unaware of love. They laughed and they cried, nurturing irreplaceable bonds. And 10 years later— The local scenery had changed so much, and so did Yuuto and the others. –But there are also things that remained the same. “Do you remember… the promise we made that day?” Yuuto's other childhood friends, Hekiru and Hikaru, moved overseas ten years ago. They are together with Yuuto again, and their memories from ten years ago return with them. Clover Day's starts during those rich and fulfilling days. As with the rest of my video streams, I plan to record each session and work on uploading the videos to a place where everyone will be able to view them at a later time. Feel free to follow the link posted above to view previous day's videos. With that, we look forward to seeing you around. Keep an eye out for more details as we progress, and enjoy watching!

  5. The truth did not know where to put this post, I've been a little over four months completely off. The truth is I've been through a lot, for the ones that dont know me, I am a 24 year old Spanish boy informatic engineer and passionate about VN, JRPGs ... Not that I do, but somehow I would like to share what has happened in these 4 months, think not ill of me; it's just that I do not usually share this kind of stuff, but now I feel the need to. Hope not hate me for that. It starts almost 6 months ago when one night they called me to tell me that a very good friend of mine had died a few days ago in an avalanche, the news left me pretty fucked; She was not only a good friend was as we say here my rock. She was the only person who really knew stop me when necessary or encourage me to continue when I needed a boost. She never shut anything ... I'm a bit obtuse at times and need to be told things clear, she never shut up if she knew that I was wrong, she told me so to my face, calling me asshole if necessary. His death left me in a state that had not ever been, there are things I could never tell and I can no longer do so. I was always in love with her but sometimes by context, sometimes by cowardice, I never said what I felt. I'm sure she knew it, but I never dared to tell her for fear of losing the only person who "really" knew me. She was my best friend and my platonic love. She was gone and the world came over me, as I am a computer engineer before, here in Spain is not easy to get a good job when I finish studying I started working for a small company that made web pages for hotels and similar . The truth was a shitty job, hard work and little pay what most fucked me, what I was doing, what could make anyone with a java course and a minimum computer skills. At first I did not care, I was starting my first job so I could not complain much, but ... my personal situation was pretty bad for the first time in my life I could say it was all up to the hilt ... all gave me equal. The contract with the company expired, they offered me to renew but reject it. The work did not fill me and really did not want to spend more time there. I was pretty depressed and return to old vices that had left behind. My friends, my family were worried about me, trying to help as they could but as I said once before I do not like to open up (ironically I'm doing now), so I basically told them that nothing happened while I was still in my own self-destructive spiral. I felt ... really do not think I can describe it, I disgusted me myself yet I did not care. I spent a month locked up at home smoking hachis (weed, not the same but ... anyway). Until my sister came for me one day at my house and dragged me to a family meal, it was not a family meal; My sister had an idea of what was happening and to put it in some way she throw the dice.(I will always be grateful for that).I had not seen the mother of Sara (now I realize it's the first time in this post I mention her name) from the funeral, when I realized it was too late, just this act of my sister made me realize the piece of shit in which I was becoming. My pain was not even a tenth of his but our situations could not be more different: She struggled to accept her daughter dead. instead I fled to forget that I had lost my best friend. We talked for a long time, I feel like crap when I say this but somehow she made me turn on the switch, and that's something I should have done by myself and I acted like a person and not a shit. Over the next few weeks I try to correct what I had done wrong. Try to act like a person. Things were slowly returning to normal, well normally say maybe it's not as accurate but the pieces were to fit but not like before (sorry I can not explain this better). And so came September, I needed to find a job so I started it. After a couple of weeks I got a call from a German company they were looking for people to work in a newly opened office in Lyon (France). The truth is that the work seemed to be just what I needed, but supposed to move and although my French is lousy say I was very rusty, I did not know well what to do, so I told them I still had things to do and if I was them posibe decision in mid-October. I expected his answer was a resounding no but to my surprise they told me that there was no problem. And so it goes, I have not yet made a firm decision but I think I'll walk away maybe a change of scenery is what I need, a different context, different people ... Obviously I have a ways to go but the first step is always it is the most difficult. Do not get me wrong I do not post this for comfort or because I need someone to tell me that everything will go well, posting this because I needed some form of release. As I said I am not a very open person and usually hate talking about these things but strangely after writing this huge post I feel better. Moving on fuwa still seems like when I left, lolis lolis and .. nah just kidding xD. Now I'm back here I hope for a more regular basis, depending on whether I move or not, it is possible that this a couple of weeks, a little busy, but I'm back. Thank you all for reading this huge post, really thank you. Fuwa rulez !! Pd: Sorry for the poor english.

    Hi! XD

My Name is Akeno . Figured I'd introduce myself and say I love this site! I love any site that helps promote english translated vn's and helps promote vn's in general. I've played many vn's (mostly eroges) and really enjoy them to an unhealthy extent. Anyway, I hope to get along with everyone! *^*

  10. Glad to see you are following through with this idea, and I wish you the best of luck in your project. If I may though, I would like to offer a few suggestions that might help promote your material better. First, in your description of who you are and your idea behind the project, you mention your passion for visual novels and Japanese 2D animation. As a possible donator to your project however, I find it poor taste as a reader to include the fact that you feel the need to explain how you are labeled as being delusional and how people bash you for loving 2D. My suggestion? Don't include this. Be proud of the project you are doing and don't downplay yourself. Talk about your passion for the idea and how you are proud of what you are doing, but don't include something people can look at you negatively for. Second, you talk about how your English grammar might not be the best in the world when creating this story. Don't say that! People don't want to donate money to a project they feel might be "decent" at best. As a possible donator, I want a complete project that I know will be a joy to read. I understand that honesty is important, but if you feel that your grammar might not be the best, find someone as passionate as you to help edit and work on the English with you. If I were to donate $100 for an h-scene as you mention in your rewards tab, I would not be happy knowing I would be taking a gamble based on your statement about the quality of the end product. Finally, you talk about where the funds for the project will go. As a donator, I don't want to pay for your personal life needs such as food and rent, and as such I would remove these things entirely. In many people's case, I want the money I donate to go toward exactly what it is I am paying for: your project. In other words, I am not donating to a charity for Steve, but rather a funding for a project that I am excited to see come to fruition. Again, I understand the intent behind saying this, but it is unnecessary in the end. So long as I believe my money is going toward what I paid for and you complete the things you promise, what you do with the extra funds is none of my concern. Overall, the quality and presentation in the link are useful and you do a good job of explaining things where lingo may be confusing, but these are just some points I feel you can change which will make people more interested in donating is all. Regardless, best of luck.

  14. Alicesoft Update: This update is somewhat unrelated to the translations, but instead is about the series that is being translated. The translators have stated that they will pick these up after they're released though. It might be a little late, but to inform the people who didn't know... Rance 03 is scheduled to be released in 2015, which is next year. At least, that's what I've been hearing. To further support my finds, have the sample artwork. As you can see, the art of 03 is closely related to 01. This means that 03 is again being drawn by the 01 CG artist, which goes by the name of Gyokai if I'm not mistaken. We can then expect a visual feel similar to that of 01, assuming that some of us has already played it. In other related news, in case that you guys haven't heard of it, the Rance series is ending with the 10th game in the main series, Rance X. Here's a sketch of Rance X. The sketch shows Dark Lord Kayblis up against Rance and his party, which has been an anticipated battle for a long time. The 25-year old series will finally end with the 10th installment, ending with it Rance's adventures. The game is slated to be released in 2016, two years from now. Let's hope that it'll be the best out of the games. The official blog post stating the development of these games is here. In case people didn't know, TADA is also planning to remake Little Princess, a sort of prequel to the Rance series. It follows the adventure of Kentarou Ogawa and Kurusu Miki, after being taken by Gi from the 3E2 Dimension, which is modern Japan. Here is a sample artwork. I've been thinking of renaming the thread to something else, since I think I won't be updating solely on translations, but rather on Alicesoft-related things. I wonder...

    Grisaia no kajitsu anime

Surprisingly decent first episode indeed. Of course they make tons on the edginess and the fanservice/manservice (all bases covered, we got the B-type otakus and fujoshis baited), which will make a lot of people who don't know the VN ditch it without a second thought (can't blame them for that, I would have done the same). But that first episode was much less static than your usual exploitation anime, although quality will probably decrease after that since they often put their everything on the pilot. As long as it's not a too significant drop it at least has a decent animation, despite all that ugly 3D. They drop lots of hints about the various routes but it's hard to know what they'll do. I trust Kurata but at the same time I really don't know how they're gonna pull out something decent here, especially if they try to somehow cram all the routes in a 1-cour anime.

  24. There's a possibility her acting wasn't as great in the past. I'd say this episode she's made a leap in improvement. I wasn't really sold on her voice the first time it was introduced..

  25. Mmm... a seemingly normal guy who is surprisingly strong of heart when it is necessary. tbh, I don't think I could have done what he does pretty much from the beginning of the story (sorry for being vague, but I'm speaking to one of the central parts of the plot). He's surprisingly adaptable (especially considering how weird the thing with the oni is). He definitely isn't a non-entity, despite those somewhat common character traits. Edit: I know, he sounds like the average VN protag... and for the most part that's true. The fact that the writers managed to actually add depth to such a character was one of the aspects that made me like this one.

  27. Yes, Kanon is a great staring point. Kanon was a revolutionary VN that really helped establish story based Visual Novels. Before Kanon visual novels were mostly just hentai games. There were a few that tried to tell a story before Kanon, but it was really Kanon's success that stopped Visual novels from being exclusively porn games. It disappoints me how most people aren't very enthusiastic about Kanon on these forums as it is not only historically important but honestly quite good. A lot of creativity went into most of the character routes. On top of Kanon having some really imaginative stories, it is really well written. I even wrote a whole a whole literary analysis in which I deconstructed a complicated friendship between two characters. (Link to my analysis is in my signature). In conclusion you should definitely read Kanon.

  29. This is my entry for the contest. Note: I will not be judging my own submission, I will ask Tay to do it for obvious reasons. How it looks like on the site: When I was thinking change and visual novels the first character that popped up in my head was Nekoko. Nekoko was a character that completely stole my heart during her story, she represents what it really means to change oneself in my opinion. The castle behind Nekoko, also known as the land of the fairies in Yume Miru Kusuri, is meant to represent an ultimate goal, much like Nekoko wants to travel to the land of the fairies, Fuwanovel also wishes to go achieve higher goals (make visual novels popular). Nekoko herself represents someone with a loss of identity, a split personality and of course an addiction. I feel like it ties in well with the turmoil that was Fuwa for a while now that somewhat lost its sense of direction but is now getting back on track and making changes, much like how Nekoko understands that she can't keep doing what she's doing, she has to realize this is not the right path. My whole goal with this logo was mostly to represent a goal for fuwa that is now more clear and within sight than it was before (The castle) as well as represent the path that we should take which is not one of self indulgence and chaos (like Nekoko's life was). Sorry that it's quite shallow, but I'm not good at thinking too deeply.

    Hi All!

I'm new to Fuwanovel! I'm an avid novel reader and recently I've gotten into visual novels; for (relaxation) hobbies I like reading books and reading manga, unfortunately I'm not interested in anime, hence visual novels seem to be the perfect middle ground for me. Currently I'm near finishing all the routes for Clannad which I'd say is my first real visual novel read and I've enjoyed it. Besides that I've played Shira Oka: Second Chances (PC) and Love Plus (DS) which are closer to the dating simulations category. I plan to read Tomoyo After since I enjoyed Clannad so much and hopefully find more enjoyable VN's/simulators. I liked the elements in Shira Oka -- where you study, improve your grades, physical stats, and eventually dated as you progress throughout the story and such. Are there any other simulators or visual novels that are similar in view? Thank you and, of course, nice to meet you all!
