Well, here I am. 24 years of living a life of ups and downs, and I am finally ready to pursue my dream of teaching English in Japan. It's funny really, because it feels like I am saying goodbye to so many things in my life by doing this. While that may be true in some cases, it's sad to think of moving on that way. Most people tell me that this is a new beginning and something to look forward to, and I agree with them; I wouldn't be standing here today were it not for so many friends and family supporting me along the way. It's interesting actually because my major in college had nothing to do with Japanese language or the culture of Asia. I was a French and Italian double major, and to this day my parents still question why Japan is something I want to end up doing. Honestly, I can say part of the reason is because of the awesome people I met on this website. Now before you read on, let me reiterate the fact that I chose this path in my life for many reasons, but this website and its many unique personalities are what drove me to continue down this path. The family aura emanating from this website is both heart warming and inspiring at the same time, and I know that no matter what anyone says, that feeling will always remain with me where ever life may lead. One of the greatest things about doing the podcast is getting to know all of the unique individuals from this site, and it always puts a smile on my face when I hear people comment on how friendly all of these people are; it really is something special. That being said, this message is not a reflection on my time spent on this website or a means to communicate how awesome it is, but rather this message is a thank you to every single person I have had the pleasure to meet on Fuwanovel. Thank you everyone. Thank you for being who you are and what you do. To all the people I have had the pleasure of working with, thank you. To all the members I have made friends with outside of this website, thank you. To all the upcoming people about to create a great legacy for a website that means so much to them, thank you. Thank you Fuwanovel, I cannot say it enough. To every single person I have had the pleasure of being a friend with from this site, I love you. You are all fantastic individuals (no matter how much you troll sometimes ) and deserve to be praised for it. You have all given me a chance to do something I enjoy doing for no monetary value whatsoever. You have given me what I love most about doing what I do for this website, and that is the joy of others. Sure, it may sound stupid, but in essence it's the truth. I love making other people happy and I love seeing people excited, because it really does put a smile on my face. Please, I ask you to continue being who you are and to continue being a family. Each one of you is an amazing person, and I cannot stress that enough. So for that reason, I say a final thank you, and hope to see all of you sometime in the future and in Japan. Hello everyone, I leave for Japan on the 3rd of November, and with my brand new camcorder, I plan to make a video blog when I am in the country. This thread is to let me know what sort of content you want to see. I have a few ideas in mind, but I am always looking for suggestions. The ideas you guys come up with can be serious topics involving the culture of Japan, or can be something as mundane as a walk around Akihabara looking for figurines. Let me know!

Stuff like giveaways will be moved to the Lounge whenever it gets created. When I asked Tay where these threads should go for the time being he said the Community Hub is the most fitting board, currently, and I also personally agree, therefore I won't be moving these until the lounge is created. And I don't think it hinders the board and is such a bad problem as you seem to make it out to be, it's not just unrelated stuff, things like giveaways are for the whole community in a sense, updates on fuwa also belong on the community hub, I don't really see any huge problem at the moment, the amount of exposure the Improvements Board will get will be virtually the same wether we move these threads or not. But all this is beyond the point, the community hub, right now, is the correct forum for these threads, according to Tay, and so they will stay there for the time being.

I would pinch myself, make sure I'm not dreaming. I would eat a bar of dark chocolate, make sure I'm not high. Confirming it's true, I would embark on a mission to spoil the hell out of her. I'd give anything she wants to eat, any toys, etc. I'd do my best to always keep a smile on her face, and make her the most happy person on the world, making sure she'd never leave my side.

People do this often with books, so why not? A lot of people lack the motivation to read VNs, or don't have someone to talk to once they finish a fine work. I was thinking of making a "VN reading club" of sorts, where every month we decide on a VN, read it and do several activities related to it, from just random chatter to more organized things, such as rewriting a character of a VN in the universe of another, make guessing games, extend the ending of a VN with what we think would happen next, write reviews, etc. If this actually happens, I could even give make the activities competitions and give some prizes for the winners every month. Oh, taking part in the activities wouldn't be mandatory. I realize a lot of people are busy, and you can skip a month if you feel like it. The important part is motivating everyone to pick up a VN monthly~ So? Do you think it's a good idea? There is no point in preserving japanese terminology when there is an easy and direct english translation that loses no meaning. It would only serve to confuse readers. Anyways, since they're apparently children, I think "Little brother" makes the most sense. "Younger" is also used more often in a comparative context, for example when referring to the youngest brother as the younger brother.

If little brothers is more accurate given context, I'd go with that. Honestly, use whichever fits into the sentence at hand better, imo.

Hello peeps. I would like everyone's opinion on something. In Mayo's route, her 2 brothers are often mentioned, and I can't decide whether to go with "little brothers" or "younger brothers." "Little brothers" sounds so clunky, but it better conveys that they're a lot younger than her than "younger brothers" would. So please let me know what you guys think.

I tend to agree. Benkei and Azumi would be of similar length to Miyako. However, the rest of the team would need to join him in his TLs, because Wairu left nearly everything undone in A-1. Images need editing, ending skits do as well if I recall correctly, menus are also not done as far as I'm aware. Plus the QC and programming. As I said before, the problem with starting a new game is making sure that all the roles are filled. Just a TL won't get very far towards a patch in most cases. As a bonus, this way, people can choose to use either kosuna's or dowolf's translations, depending on which they prefer.

for the record, I don't recall any Chinese lines in Miyako's route (and certainly haven't hit any so far). I started at the point where Yandere ended because lazy. (I had no idea that the Kazama route had a partial translation!) Might go back and redo the first 1.5k-odd lines if there's enough demand for it. Gratuitous Chinese in Japanese texts is really rare. You're much more likely to find gratuitous English (heck, Chris has more English lines than German). Pugnator: All Japanese kanji are derived from Chinese hanzi, but due to various reasons (the two biggest being that a number of characters simply are not used in Japanese [there are technically 6,000-odd kanji; 2,000 is enough to be considered literate, and even including names and rare kanji 3,000 is the actual number] and differing simplification processes over the years) the two sets aren't identical. It's kind of like how ß and accented letters don't mean anything in English (and with English native speakers often not having the slightest clue how to pronounce them). also I wish I had infinite free time.

I made it myself so I had to upload it first. Here! Making it was pretty fun actually, it was someone else's scan that was in two pieces with a pretty large gap between that I had to fill in myself, which I hadn't ever done before. Though sadly since I'm a total newbie you can still see some traces of were the gap originally was if you look hard enough. If you want just the picture itself (without the black on the left) I can upload that as well.

I'm not really picky. But I'd like the OP to have as less spoilers as possible. I'm contradicting this by saying that more CGs makes me more hyped though. Good animating of sprites does the trick too.

If I remember correctly a error 1503 can probably be fixed with a noDVD patch but the only place I could find one for the game was here. Another method could be to try the game with Compability mode XP3 service pack 2 and see if that does any good.

After Yandere died, a lot of time passed without anyone picking up the translation. A thread was started to look for a team. A guy named Kosuna offered to translate it, and I contacted him, and, with Azengar as our tech guy, we went to work on the Miyako route (And a little bit on the Agave route.). However, Kosuna's health isn't very good, and real life has had a tendency to get in his way, so he wasn't able to do much progress. Then not long ago, I found Dowolf, who had begun translating Agave on his own for his YouTube channel. I asked him if he'd like to join us in our effort, and he agreed. He turned out to be much more efficient than Kosuna, and thus has been able to finish translating not just Agave, but several of the side routes, while Kosuna is finishing up Miyako until he leaves for the hospital for the last time, at which point Kosuna will leave the team for good. When he leaves for the hospital, he'll give the Miyako route to me, and I'll hand it to Dowolf for translation check, and then it goes back to me for quality check.
