  1. Been an hour and no update. I suspect the forum software does not automatically rebuild post counts, or maybe does so but only every day/week or so. I'll just put things back in place before nosebleed comes and kill me

  3. People do this often with books, so why not? A lot of people lack the motivation to read VNs, or don't have someone to talk to once they finish a fine work. I was thinking of making a "VN reading club" of sorts, where every month we decide on a VN, read it and do several activities related to it, from just random chatter to more organized things, such as rewriting a character of a VN in the universe of another, make guessing games, extend the ending of a VN with what we think would happen next, write reviews, etc. If this actually happens, I could even give make the activities competitions and give some prizes for the winners every month. Oh, taking part in the activities wouldn't be mandatory. I realize a lot of people are busy, and you can skip a month if you feel like it. The important part is motivating everyone to pick up a VN monthly~ So? Do you think it's a good idea? And if so, would you like to join? ~~ VN Club History: November: Ayakashibito December: Forest February: Shikkoku no Sharnoth

  4. So already a member is spamming a Cartagra download link from KAT, and that got me thinking that with MangaGamer and Sekai actually bringing over things that are at least good, finally, perhaps it would be cool of Fuwanovel to begin banning posts that direct to a pirated download for a localized/licensed VN on the forums. It would simply be a temporary ban on such talk for X amount of time. A week to two weeks would be an acceptable compromise on this I feel. Besides, people who refuse to pay for these things are going to find it anyway, it would be a nice gesture and a good show of faith that Fuwanovel is changing to be less combative towards commercial localization efforts.

I would like it if I could, but I don't want to get myself disowned. Profile feeds are a bitch with this type of stuff.

  11. The one anime to watch from summer is Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun imo. Zankyou no Terror isn't bad but retrospectively not that memorable (I tend to be harsher on anime with serious plots). Also there was Space Dandy S2 but not sure how much you'd like that. Ao Haru Ride is definitely worth a watch too.

  12. I've only watched some of them, but this are all the Anime that was release last summer. I'll bold what I think is worth watching for, something that I enjoy so far but I wouldn't confirm it will be a good Anime for you. (Different people have different taste!) Your Worst VN Experience

With cold I mean that every decision he makes is always based on reson or logic. There is never some emotion involved. I can't stand that. Humans are defined by their emotions (good or bad ones) but Yuuji seems to be not human in that case. Maybe someone understands me Yumiko seems to be cold but shes highly affected by her emotions.

    Your Worst VN Experience

A lot of bad routes in different VNs, like Rimu/Yayoi in Deardrops; Shiro in Fortune Arterial (I still have to play Kanade... tsk); Tsubaki/Kanon in G-Senjou and Touka in Sharin no Kuni. I don't like the loli route... it never has anything to do with the main plot. As an exemple, Shiro's route in FA was about tea, cake and incest, not about vampires! But for complete novels, I'm in "doubt" between Kono Oozora ni and Grisaia no Kajitsu. KonoSora had a really good common route, talking about the plane and etc... really interesting. But Kotori's route was... hur dur. Tedious, boring, and a lot of other things that I don't know how to describe. I still plan to play Amane, since it appears to have more plot about the club and the plane. But Ageha and the twins, it appears to be just childhood friend and loli fanservice. As for Grisaia, I didn't finish it yet, only the common route, but I already hate it. It's as Ezeefreak said, but I'll say more things. Enormous common route with ridiculous scenes of forced "comedy" where boring characters talk and have fun. Makina is... AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRG!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111 And Sachi is... UUUUUUUUURGGG!!! Amane is cool, Yumiko is ok. Michiru is almost nothing. I think that Yuuji is a good character, but a bad protagonist. I choose Grisaia too, even if I didn't finish yet, it's already my worst experience... Obviously I don't know Grisaias's plot, but I doubt that it'll be good enough to make me like this thing.

Has anyone watched Kiss x Sis yet? I just saw all 10 episodes of the currently released OVAs. I can't believe I didn't watch this gem until now. My onee-chan fantasies are causing me to burst into tears right now. I'm going to read the manga now.

  22. I'll just drop my opinion here. Uproar I'm sure will ensue, apologies in advance. I had an interesting chat in IRC earlier this morning with RaptorFB. Essentially, he pointed out that this torrent was already created, and was appalled at how quickly the game was cracked and released as a free torrent. That part is nothing new - Day0 and Day1 releases are incredibly common with nearly everything nowadays. However, many of those fandoms have such large fanbases that people who want shiny extras will buy the game anyway. Hell, most people just buy the game regardless of the extras because "Hey I (or my kid, depending on the circumstances) wants Call of Duty and Halo and {insert random other shooter that I don't play because they give me a headache}, and so I'ma just go buy it for him." Visual Novels don't have sort of widespread influence on the market. Companies like Mangagamer, etc., spend sizable amounts of money in order to obtain licenses, perform translations, do editing, and making sure that the game is presentable to an English market. They then sell these games, which in turn provide the funding for more titles. What they release is based on how much their previous games made. If you see a string of nukige, it's because sales haven't been so fantastic. When you see major titles like Cartagra or Dengeki Stryker or Shuffle! come out, it means that sales were decent, so they could bring a more popular title over. Fuwanovel's goal has, as far as I'm aware, has always been "Making Visual Novels Popular in the West." Previously, in order to do that, we had to hype and pirate everything in order to create a large enough group of people that could actually be marketed to. Companies picked up on that marketability, took a shot, and now we have a few companies that are making it out there with the help of people who actually want to support the company and not just get their rocks off and move on. If they want to just get their rocks off, well, there's plenty of nukige they can pick from thanks to the massive amounts of pirating that has occurred. But Ryechu, I don't have money blah blah blah... That sounds like a personal problem, and has zero effect on the fact that you should support the companies that are trying to make your favorite medium popular. The motto should remain, but our approach should be different. Fan-translated works and the like should still be hosted, because that's the only way we're going to see many, if not all of those. If the Japanese parent company has an issue with it, they put out a C&D, and move on. However, any mention of illegally obtaining licensed products should be immediately destroyed. Requests for licensed titles, similarly, should be posted on and locked. If they're that desperate, there's this cool thing called Google. I don't advocate its use for that purpose, but I can't force my hands through your monitors to stop you from doing it either, as much as I would like to. TL;DR: Support licensed titles by actually buying them, and destroy anything requesting free versions of these licensed titles on Fuwa. We want to make Visual Novels popular in the West, and the only way to do that is to support the companies attempting to do that. Edit: Oh I would sooooo sign up to mod requests forum just so I could nom on delicious "gimmegimme" souls.

Follow your dick. I mean, do what the game told you exactly to do. Conquer, rape, have sex, repeat. Don't follow a walkthrough. It ruins the game, in my opinion. The events are quite random at times, so things might not work out for you in the end. Just conquer, have sex, see events, and do things you want. Heck, you can even kill Hakkin Dassan for no reason, if you like. That 13th - 14th turn 3rd action flag doesn't always work. If it did work, however, then that's a big help for you. I'd tell you not to attack the 8 houses housing the gourds immediately, as defeating 5 of them will activate the Honnouji event early, which will severely cripple your actions. The game will put beating Nobunaga on priority, so it will hinder you from doing what you want. It's practically impossible to lose, unless you screw yourself up at some point in the game. And yes, My Glorious Days! I commend you then. Go down the path of JAP reading, Kelebek! Come back triumphant! Translate! I hope your efforts don't go to waste. Rance is an easy series to read, after all. According to people, at least.

  29. Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo Rated 18+ In the near future. In a not so distant place. There exists a society where law is based upon deterrence and criminals are assigned "obligations" fitting for their crimes. Within this society, a man named Morita Kenichi aspires to the position of Special High Class Individual, one who holds authority over said criminals. For the purpose of fulfilling his ambition, Kenichi returns to the town he once called home. There he will encounter three girls bearing "obligations" and there he will encounter the past he left behind. Won't you join him in this story about how people relate to their society? In this story about how a society relates to its people. In this story about the girl amid the sunflowers growing in the country spinning like a wheel. ENDING GUIDE Sharin no Kuni doesn’t have the kind of routes you might except from a Visual Novel. Rather, after the introduction you will see the girls’ stories in the following order Sachi, Touka, Natsumi. Entering a heroine’s route doesn’t affect anything except the epilogue after the ending (and in the case of Sachi and Touka you get some extra scenes during the main story). After you’ve begun a relationship with Sachi or Touka you won’t be able to switch in later chapters. If you’re planning to do several routes it is definitely recommended to do Natsumi’s route first. ***Game Routes*** Natsumi Hinata Sachi Mitsuhiro Touka Oone Harem End Secret Heroine For a spoiler-free walktrough simply follow the walktrough for Natsumi or Harem End and instead of choosing (2) Live peacefully with Natsumi and the others, choose the other choice. For a more detailed walktrough (but with spoilers) read this: This walktrough is based on info aquired from GameFaqs.com and This Walktrough with some editing and additional info by me. Edit: Some stylistic changes made for posting in walkthrough section. -Tay
