  2. Bunny Black Bunny Black is the first of a trilogy developed by SofthouseChara, known for their unique simulation games. Every game they release is a simulator of anything from managing a Hot Spring resort to surviving on a deserted island. Unfortunately, this is their first game to be translated into English. The English patch for this game was created by the hard working people at Seiha Translations. Big thanks to them for their hard work. They also plan to translate Bunny Black 2 and 3! As it is a fan translation, there are some mistakes here and there, but nothing major. I don't have any right to complain Bunny Black (at least the first one) is more or less a simulation of being a minion to a demon. There is a hierarchy to work your way up, and the game is pretty addicting if not a bit grindy. The gameplay is traditional dungeon crawling, akin to King's Field. This game is difficult at first, and some people may rage quit pretty early on due to it. After you gain some resources and get the hang of things, this game becomes a breeze (mostly.) If you follow the starting tips in this help topic, even if only as a guideline, then you should be well on your way to... raping women. A lot. The rape in this game is very light. No mind break or guro(gory sex). If you have played Rance, it's a bit like that. Although in my opinion it is a little darker, but still not too bad. You can't avoid all of these scenes either, as when you rest to restore health and skill uses there is an H scene. Some are rape, some aren't. You can hold ctrl to skip through these quickly if you desire. This guide is still a work in progress, and I rely heavily on the community to fill in the blanks, so feel free to leave any info or knowledge you think is relevant, or ask questions if what you need to know isn't covered in the guide. Dungeon Maps Here are the links to each dungeon's maps. If your browser supports it, translate the pages to English. In Google Chrome, just right click and select Translate to English. Updates(Check back frequently) Update #1: Compiled a list telling you how many H scenes are available for each female adventurer class. Also working on a skill list, but the tedium means it is updating slowly. Update #2: Skill list mostly complete. Missing some max use info and the English Patch names for some of the skills. I color coded the skill names to match their category color ingame. This will hopefully make the list easier to navigate. Update #3: Reformatted the guide. Update #4: Skill list almost done. Just need the Seiha translation names for some skills, and the max uses for Poison Shot. Starting tips -Don't gear yourself out in the beginning. Instead, focus on buying demons. Make sure to get a Heal Goo at first, and some type of tank (I recommend Werebear) Save up to get a Fairy quickly, as not only does it give you some magical prowess, but it is a competent healer. It also allows you to see yourself on the minimap. -Make sure to do cleaning jobs and avoid battles until you have at least one Fairy, one Heal Goo (or another Fairy if you prefer), and two tanks (again, I recommend Werebears) -When choosing a weapon, keep in mind that Spears, Daggers, and Shurikens will allow you to take skills from two skill trees. Dagger and Shuriken will allow you to use Edged and Ranged skills, while Spear will allow for Edged and Blunt. It is also worth noting that the ranged skill tree contains the only STR based full AOE skill in the game. -In the Options menu, you should notice an option that controls auto saving. At default, it is set at 2. This means the game saves after every battle (even if you run away.)Don't be afraid to abuse this in order to save yourself some frustration/time. -Do some grinding and you will be able to handle the Tower of Storms pretty easily. Just watch out when doing jobs in the next dungeon. -Don't be afraid to leave a dungeon if you take a job and find it too hard. The job will not be affected, and you can come back to it later without any penalties. -Watch out for cursed equipment. Once equipped, you can't unequip it without paying 1000 gold. They will also do continuous damage to you every turn in battle, so if you do accidentally equip one, remove it immediately. The best way to tell if equipment is cursed is to read the item description. If it sounds negative, it is probably cursed. -You can use the arrow keys to move, or change the Key Configuration in the Options menu for a setup of your choice. I didn't notice this right away (oops!) -You can assign your skills to something of a hotbar. In battle, if you go to your skills list and choose a skill, you can click one of the empty slots on your battle menu to shortcut the skill to it. You can only do this with 3 skills, and the top bar is an auto skill bar, meaning if you put your regular attack there, you can just click on an enemy and attack it without having to choose the option on your battle menu. -If your demon dies in battle, you can rehire it at the shop (it will be at the top of the party list in red). The cost of this increases as it levels up, and also increases the more it dies. -In terms of difficulty, from easiest to hardest, we have: Tower of Storms - Cave of Bueroza - Garden Lair - Overgrown Thicket/Frozen Wood - Cavern of Flames - Den of Malevolence - Overlord's Shrine. Cavern of Flames is ranked higher than Thicket and Frozen Wood due to having to have a specific type of demon in your party in order to move freely. Thanks to Suzu Fanatic, it's now a little clearer what the tactics options in battle do exactly. Attack- Focus on offense, but characters that can heal still might do so. All Out- All offense, none of your demons will heal. Survive- Demons will only use physical attacks, they will not heal or use magic of any kind. Standby- All of your demons will simply defend. If you are grinding last hits on female adventurers, this can make things go faster. Conserve- All demons that can heal will mainly focus on healing. All on One- All demons will attack the same enemy. Front Row- Your demons will only attack the back row. Back Row- Your demons will only attack the front row. Skill Point Allocation Since you won't be able to max out all of your skills, here are my recommendations on what skills to get. Must Have: Master of Unlocking- It's not required to max this, but put a few points in it. 80% of my equipment came from magic chests, and paying 1000 to unlock one is too much. If you so choose, you can abuse save states and open all the chests in your room, write down what the traps are, reload, and open them safely with no penalty. The traps are static and don't change, so this method will work. I used it about halfway through the game because some of the trap penalties are a little steep. (4000 gold if it's a bomb? Way overkill.) Combat Medic(and all spells it unlocks)- The AI is... unreliable at best when it comes to healing. For instance, with a team of 9 my healer was using the highest tier all heal spell whenever one character took a single point in damage. It's best to learn these yourself. Warp Magic- Don't max this skill, just raise it until you get Adv Warp Magic, since this lets you teleport anywhere you choose as opposed to randomly. Also put a point into Spatial magic, as this lets you exit the dungeon immediately. Weapon Skill- Whichever weapon skill tree you choose, put points into it early so you can unlock more weapon skills. I chose Edged weapons, and at level 5 you get a skill that hits the whole front row, which stays useful for most of the game. Charismatic- Probably the most important. Get this as early as possible, because once you max it you unlock skills that raise your whole party's stats by 5 (as a passive.) which you should also max. Recommended: At least one type of magic- Choose an element you like, and raise it until you get the Piercing and Wide versions of it. Raise those until you get the Adv magic of that element. These skills will let you hit a column, row, and the whole field respectively. It's good to have as many AOE skills as possible. Weapon/Magic Master- If you are a mage, choose magic obviously. These will strengthen all of your weapon/magic skills. Steadfast/Magic Resistant- If you are making Darx into a tank, max both of these ASAP. If not, then consider only raising these halfway. Chicken Heart- Pretty handy for emergency situations. Most games I don't recommend these types of skills, but here you will probably need it. Popular- You have to sink quite a few points into this, but with some of the higher costs towards the end of the game it is worth it. Good Haggler- As I have stated, I used magic chests for most of my equipment, so I recommend this over VIP treatment. If you choose to sell chests, then get VIP treatment instead. Quick Learner- This one is up to you. I'm about 70% through the game, and with some grinding am already level 99 (max level). I did max this skill pretty early on, but if you don't want to reach max level too early you might consider only raising it halfway, or not at all. Avoid: Vanishing Act- As far as I can tell, this skill does nothing. I used it four times in a row and it didn't do a thing. Appraiser- It only costs 100 to appraise at the shop, and you will be going there to sell loot anyways so there's no reason to take this. You might be able to justify this if you only take the first level early in the game when you are broke, but at that point you will need other skills more than this. Status Effect magic- There virtually 0 application for these. Most battles will end too quickly for these to make a difference. I feel as though the same can be said for stat buffs (I never used them) but not to the degree that I would say to avoid them. Medicine Man- Perhaps it's just me, but I never use healing items. So this skill is pretty useless. You can put some points into it if you use healing items, but otherwise don't bother. Any of the skills that aren't listed each have their uses depending on your build and/or patience. After the first bit when you are gathering resources the game gets much easier, so keep that in mind when figuring out which skills to take as well.

  3. And so we begin...really really late. Sorry bout that but RL got hectic for a few weeks. PS: I cut this blog post down from 3,000 words, to less than 1,500. You're welcome Welcome to the start of my blog series. The way I’ll organise this critique is to go through different writing techniques first, and then showcase how they were badly used by Winged Cloud. Unfortunately due to very strict time-constraints I’ll have to split this first entry into 2 components, so in this blog post I’ll discuss the first writing technique, in the next blog post I’ll analyse how that technique was used in the game. Then in the blog post after I’ll introduce the next writing technique and so forth. Eventually I may even get to story, character, and the purpose of scenes. Bear in mind the following are my thought processes about writing techniques, which I assembled myself. A necessary Beginning What is “good writing?” “Good writing” is the flimsy excuse people on the internet use to give their criticisms weight. If you don’t like a book because the book isn’t for you, then the reason you didn’t like the book would lie on your shoulders. That sounds an awful lot like being your fault. People never want things to be their fault, it’s right up there with taking responsibility for their actions. Ew, who wants to do that? But if you said you didn’t like it because it was badly written, well, then the fault is the book’s and not yours. This is a much better feeling to have. But seriously, what is “good writing?” Well, "good writing" is what happens when you take on-board every piece of writing advice given to you over the years and produce a novel which is completely unsellable. That book could be said to have been written in a “good style.” AHHH! WHAT IS “GOOD WRITING?!” Okay, okay, the concept is ludicrously straight forward. A story-teller has a story they wish to tell, and in a novel the writing is the method with which that story is conveyed to the reader. If the storyteller can convey vivid and engaging images of the scenes to the reader, then they have succeeded. If the images are not so well conveyed, they could still have succeeded. If the imagery and pacing have been completely screwed, then we can say the writing is not good. A writer’s goal will always be to maximise the impact of their writing so the image is conveyed in an impactful way. Language techniques will be the tools the writer will use, and this goal will consumer their lives. In a visual novel the concept is much the same, but less involved. The writer must still convey the bit that are not shown by visuals and sound to the audience. Simple, no? So now on to the first technique. Technique #1 - Show vs Tell, and when to use each Ugh, what a clichéd piece of advice to begin with. Well, there’s a very good reason I started here, and it involves a hat and some small pieces of paper. But let us delve into this "oft-dished-out" piece of advice. Everybody always tells budding writers to “show” and don’t “tell,” but the truth is if writers always followed this advice their work would be bloated, it would be boring, and it would be so weighty that nobody would be able to lift the damn thing. A writer will “show” some bits, and they’ll “tell” some bits. What technique they use at each point is a decision only the writer themselves can answer (this is part of a writer’s “style.”) So, what does it mean when a writer “tells” something. Well, what generally happens is the narrator observes the circumstances happening around them, but instead of funnelling these observations to the reader, the narrator funnels the conclusions they draw instead. These conclusions will tend to be short, categorical statements (like he was tall, or he was miffed) because that is what we humans tend to do, make a bunch of observations, condense these observations into a conclusion which fits nicely into a category, and file that information away. When this method is overused the problems it can cause are many - not enough information to produce a decent image (you’ve reduced the information so it fits into a bite-size statement,) each person categorises things differently (leading to incorrect images being formed,) and pacing issues (galore.) For example, if a reader is told a man is angry, this not only limits information and leads to a less detailed image, but people associate "anger" with different behaviours depending on their own experience and the environment they grew up in. So where the character actually clenched their fists and glared, the reader could have imagined him dropping to his knees, repeatedly whacking himself on the head with a tea kettle, and screeching to the heavens. This affects character development. But we humans tend to have very few stock images for each category, so what happens if more than one person in the story is “angry?” What happens if 4 people got “angry”? 6 people got “angry?” Then the reader will be imagining multiple people whacking themselves on the head with a tea kettle. And if everybody gets angry at once? Well, let's just hope there’s a hell of a lot of tea kettles. But it doesn’t stop there, every “chair” would be the same, every “2 story brick house” would be the same, every “table”, every “hand”. All “approaching footsteps” would sound the same, even if one of the characters had a peg-leg, and another was a fat, slobby, 4-legged centaur who cried great, soppy tears whenever he had to climb a set of stairs. And we’re still not done, because that’s not the only thing an overuse of “tell” does. An overuse of “tell” takes away the manipulation of pacing a writer wields at his disposal. By it’s very nature, the lack of description in “tell” automatically speeds up the pace of events, but during those periods where you want to denote a passing of time or during those periods where you want to slow down the story, more description is added to give the reader an actual and innate feeling that time has passed. When a writer “tells” a reader that "half an hour has passed," it doesn’t give the reader a visceral sense that time has, actually, passed. However, wondering about the significance of a man’s hitched up trousers for 5 or 6 very long paragraphs will impart a VERY visceral sense of time passing to the reader. So, does a writer need to "show" everything with their prose? No. Often you may not want much detail, sometimes you’ll want to speed up the pace of the scene. Maybe you want to employ default reader images somewhere in your story (here a writer can use “tell” to their considerable advantage.) Flip to any page of any published book and it will always contain a mixture of “show” and “tell.” What mixture you choose will depend on what style you want to employ. But the reason this piece of advice is so clichéd is because many people don’t put enough detail into their writing to impart a decent image to the reader. How this applies to Visual Novels Visual Novels are a different medium to novels, and with their inclusion of visuals and sound the prose doesn't need to be as dense. But unless the visuals and sounds paint a complete picture, like in The Walking Dead, some prose will still be necessary and standard writing techniques apply. Next Post: How Sakura Spirit handled this technique Next Next Post: Redundancy, bloat, and the value of precision.

They're translating the routes that Wairu didn't do. I haven't seen any talk of them translating A after they're finished with S, though. The Wairu partial is here and it covers the Common, Monshiro, Margit, Kokoro and Tsubame's Routes, plus Kosugi & Iyo's Sideroutes; Also here's the thread for discussion of the translation project: forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/9204-majikoi-s-translation-project-discussion/page-11#entry261628

    Visual Novel Sales

No one ever said buying visual novels would be cheap but if you have patience and have a keen eye you can find some pretty good sales that will make the hobby less damaging to your wallet. That's what this is going to be; this is going to be a place to post sales listings for visual novels as well as notify people of any upcoming limited edition physical copies. I don't believe I've seen something like this on the forums yet so apologies if this already exists. I'm probably going to be constantly updating this first post whenever there is a sale and I'll give notification when I've updated it. I'm going to mainly be doing english translated visual novels but I would be happy to also post sales for non-translated visual novels as well if people would be interested. The new J-List website is still a ways off, but we have a brand-new version of Megumi, our kawaii mascot, and to celebrate we're going to give everyone a $10 coupon that you can use for any purchases of $40 or more. Enjoy, and thanks for being an awesome J-List customer! - If that was not enough Mangagamer also has two separate sales going on right now. The first is at Groupees For a minimum of 3 dollars you get Ruby Striker and Warrior Princess Asuka For a minimum of 10 dollars you get the games mentioned in the 3 dollar tier along with Slave Witch April, Touma Kojirou's Detective File - Murder at the Opera, and Sandwiched between my wife and her sister. For 20 dollars you get everything mentioned at the 3 and 10 dollar tier along with Deardrops. Mangagamer Back to School Sale: Da Capo $29.95 $20.97 Da Capo - Innocent Finale $19.95 $13.97 Kotori Love ExP $34.95 $24.47 Da Capo II $44.95 $31.47 Edelweiss $29.95 $20.97 Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia $19.95 $13.97 Edelweiss Bundle $39.95 $27.97 Kira Kira $29.95 $20.97 Kira Kira - All Ages $19.95 $13.97 Kira Kira - Curtain Call $19.95 $13.97 Kira Kira Bundle $39.95 $27.97 Otoboku $44.95 $31.47 Harukoi Otome $49.95 $34.97 If My Heart Had Wings $14.99 $7.49 Da Capo II - Hardcopy $44.95 $33.71 Otoboku - Hardcopy $44.95 $33.71 Flash Sale - Last Day Only! Secret Sorrow of the Siblings $14.95 $7.48 Orion Heart $24.95 $12.48 The Greatest Inventions of the Sexy Era! $24.95 $12.48 Magical Teacher $24.95 $12.48 All Visual Novels are also an additional Buy 3 get 15 percent off and it stacks with the 10 off coupon. This works for pre-orders Link directly to J-List's english translated visual novels is right here: the 15 percent off does not show up unless 3 titles are in the cart and the 10 dollars off requires use of the code. Hope that helps. Yet another visual novel sale this one at indiegaga. Pay 9.99 or more to get this bundle...considering most of these games are about 10 dollars or more on their own this can actually end up being a great price. The other visual novel sales are still going on as well.

  12. This thread still needs help to grow. Feel free to post your useful resources, with a small description of what it is. You can also ask any questions related to this topic. ------------ Chances are, if you read VN, at some point you'll get interested in learning Japanese. This thread will NOT tell you how to learn japanese, I'm not qualified for that. This is a compilation of useful resources you might need, put together by helpful members and myself. If you know absolutely nothing about the language, I recommend you to read a bit about it before. Read some wikipedia pages and the introductions of various guides. The best way to approach things is probably to try out a bit of everything and see what works for you. Here are the categories of resources presented: *Learning methods: more-or-less complete schedule other people put together. *Useful softwares, apps & cie *Kanji & Kana *Grammar *Practice material Learning methods Those hardly consist of rigid guides that'll take you all the way, but they might help to give you an idea on how to approach learning the language. Don't spend too much time looking for methods, you'll most likely end up doing things in a different way anyway. Tae Kim's complete guide to japanese (everything is not complete yet) Nukemarine's Suggested Guide for Beginners "It's a guide on how to learn japanese by plowing through anki cards in a effective manner. It's made by a community member at Koohi forums. (I'd like to mention you can learn vocab very fast with this method and keep it in memory. But you learn without a lot of context, which has its negative sides.)" (Bolverk) The Tay way (note that this is from 2013 and no longer in use) Aaeru's "learn how to read VN in two years" Useful softwares Those are basic tools you'll almost certainly need, or at least try out, in your learning of japanese. Google IME: Allows you to type in Japanese. Click this link, click the big blue button, install: you can now switch your typing mode to japanese. Rikaichan: Firefox app that gives you a dictionary entry for a word by simply hovering over it. Extremely useful. Also exists for Chrome. Anki: A flash card software with a built-in algorithm for learning efficiency. Exists on Android and iOS too. (Regular hand-written flash-cards can be a useful tool too). Use shared decks to find vocab/kanji pre-made decks. Note about Anki: the use of Anki is advocated as necessary by some and deemed completely useless by others. Starting out with basic vocab/kanji grinding will probably help you ease into practice material, however learning tons of words, or worse even tons of kanji out of context is not a good idea. It's up to you to find out whether you want to use Anki (and whether you can). ITH, TA, Mecab, Jparser: ITH is a text hooker that'll extract the text from, say, a VN for you. Translation Aggregator will pass said text through parsers and dictionaries. Extremely useful to practice on VNs. Some tips and other softs for ITH here Chiitrans: a useful alternative to ITH/TA. Same principle. Read the tuto for more details. Visual Novel Reader: Another alternative to ITH/TA. Note about text hookers: it might seem obvious but do NOT use machine translations with your text hookers. You won't learn anything from the garbage it feeds you and you won't even actually understand what's going on, whether you think you do or not. It is also not a very good idea to rely on parsers for grammar purposes. Parsers are far from perfect. They certainly can't replace a grammar resource and basic googling. Think of text hookers as crutches you use until you become able to read without constantly looking up vocabulary. It is also a good idea to switch to japanese-japanese dictionaries as soon as you can - only they will give you the nuances of the words, and they're also much less flawed than existing free j-e dictionaries. Kanji & Kana Learning the hiragana and katakana should be about the first thing you do. It's not very long or difficult. Becoming accustomed to reading them is longer but it eventually comes. Kanjis are probably the biggest psychological barrier for japanese learners. I don't have a magical method to suggest, but do tell yourself it's really not that hard if you stop thinking too hard about it and trying to find the best, most optimized method for learning them. Try to learn the basic ones, see where you can get, and start practicing on reading as soon as you can. RealKana: This is just an example among others of ways to learn the kana. It's the first thing you should do anyway, and it's not hard or long. Heisig's Remember the Kanji: A method for learning kanji through memo stories, by association with an english keyword. Good for starters, probably won't get you through the whole kanji learning though. See Tay's guide and this website too. Kanjidamage: Learning the kanjis through radicals and memo sentences. I'm not a fan of his method, but it has some interesting information in the introduction and on some kanjis. Grammar Basic grammar: Tae Kim's guide: The most popular (and free!) guide on the internet. Rather compact, has all the essential grammar with good explanations and examples. A must. Genki: To take things more slowly, or have a different view on points you didn't get. (No links for that one yet, it's not free, sorry) Nihongomori: this is a youtube channel with videos explaining grammar, but also vocab and other misc things, done by native speakers (in english for the basics, japanese later). It goes from basic grammar (JLPT N5-N4 level) up to finer points (N2-N1 level) so it actually covers intermediate/advanced grammar too. The videos are pretty fun and well done, if you like the video media it might work good for you. More advanced grammar: Imabi: Lots of in-depth explanations about various grammar subjects. Not recommended for pure beginners and not written as a guide. If you want to go further than that, you'll need to go into japanese grammar books. Don't forget a simple research on the internet can give you lots of explanations about pretty much anything anyway. Advanced grammar: If you want to go further into grammar than that (for example if you want to read 古典 and such), you'll probably need to go into japanese grammar textbooks. This guide is approved as being really good. (Change the encoding of the page to Japanese EUC-JP for it to display correctly) This page could be useful too. Feel free to do your own research! Others: A grammar cheat sheet. Not for beginners, obviously. Nihongoresources: A grammar guide. Never tried it. Practice Material General advice: Try to avoid material based on comedy (because you need a good enough knowledge to get the jokes), or that rely heavily on slang or local dialect. Also, avoid things that have too much technical vocabulary (hard sci-fi) or chuuni stuff with abstract concepts and archaic kanjis. Chokochoko: Some practice texts (articles on various stuff), ranked by JLPT difficulty. Children's tales: easy place to start. Japanese subtitles for lots of anime. VNs in japanese: *Relatively easy language for a story-focused VN. *List of VN for beginners, with two levels of difficulty. *A big list of Visual novels to read if you are confident enough (~JPTL N2). I won't point you out to raw mangas, of course, but if you can find high enough quality scans (or can afford to import them) it's obviously a great way to practice. Every shoujo and shonen manga have furiganas on every kanjis. Seinen/josei may not have them, but it doesn't mean they're necessarily more difficult. Dictionaries, vocabulary resources Note: Japanese-english dictionaries (the free ones you'll find on the internet) are pretty much all based on Edict. Of course, as a beginner you have to use j-e dictionaries, but 1) edict is far from perfect 2) j-e dictionaries are inherently limited anyway: only japanese dictionaries will give you the right nuance (and they're rather excellent). So as soon as you can, switch to japanese dictionaries. The jump is not easy but it's necessary, especially if you intend to read VNs with a higher level of language. Overall, the internet is your friend! A simple search will often yield whatever you're looking for. Finding your way, especially in japanese websites, is the most useful skill you can develop (although once again you need to reach a certain level of confidence first). Jisho: Jap/eng dictionary. Tangorin: Same thing. WWWJDIC Dictionary site. Japanese online dictionary. Requires good enough knowledge of japanese to be used. Slang dictionary. Same as above. Writing recognition: Tries to find a kanji directly written with your mouse. Tanos: Various JLPT-related resources: vocabulary and kanji lists, etc. Blog posts and articles about learning japanese Blogpost by garejei: Tips and a view on kanji memorization. ----- Thanks to Clephas, Bolverk, cryofrzd, Okami, garejei, Mephisto and probably a bunch of others I forgot to add (sorry!) for their contributions.

  14. Greetings and salutations! I am Rose, leader of the recognition team and I'm here to announce our new project, whose name you can see just above. What is it? This will be a weekly Fabulous on Fuwa post, containing a list of threads and blog posts made this week that you should check out. What's the purpose of this project? We have two reasons for doing it. First of all, there are lots of threads that technically fit the "should be highlighted" criteria used to decide what the team will be writing about, but making a whole post about them would definitely be overkill and just flood the blog. With that in mind, we started thinking about a way to give them recognition while not butchering our quality standards, which leads us to the second reason: availability of the members. Not everyone browse the forums every single day of the week for 12 hours, so people will naturally miss a thread or two, then to help you guys while also solving our problem, this project was born. Which threads and blog posts will be highlighted? We're dividing the list in categories, so whatever fit them is likely to get a spot. Those are: Discussion - Any thread that's trying to setup a discussion or that can generate one by its content. This is not limited only to the Visual Novel Talk board, though it'll be likely from there that we'll get most threads for this category. Announcement - This one is for new project threads such as Manor of Amnesia; devs threads announcing their stuff; VN related tools (e.g TyranoBullder) and basically anything similar to what was mentioned just now. Staff Announcement - Any kind of announcement made by the staff, such as the recently announced award's system overhaul and vntl moon. Lists - Well, duh. We're likely not getting many under this category but I believe it's a relevant one and should at least exist. Guides - Same case as above. Games/Giveaways - Any kind of forum activities (e.g Ren's kancolle avatar group) and/or giveaways. Other Discussion board - Any kind of thread on the O.D board that might be interesting in a way, just keep in mind that absolutely nothing from The Coliseum of Chatter will be allowed here. Blog posts - Interesting blog posts, such as Rooke's writing critique about sakura spirit or Lino's first untranslated route. This is similar to the "Discussion" category but blogs work on a different way than forums, so I believe it's reasonable to divide them. Reviews hub/ Blog reviews (?) - We're not sure yet, but we might add these if we receive a positive feedback on the idea. So anything made before this week won't ever be highlighted? On regular circumstances? Yes. Can we make exceptions? Yes. If something happens on the thread that could be considered a "new feature" or something like that, then we'll consider adding it to the week's list. As an example, if I update my Grisaia analyses thread with a new route, the thread has now something new that was made this week, fitting the purpose of this project. When will the list be posted? Saturday, always. Some people might see them Friday or Sunday due to time zones, but probably not by much. We chose it because people are busy during weekdays and usually use their Saturday to go party, hang out with friends and all that, so Sunday is likely everyone's "I won't do shit today" day. Posting it Saturday allows you guys to have the list ready for Sunday regardless of time zones, so I believe it's the best choice. This week will have a really basic post since I didn't had time to finish the banners and all that. Some of you might be aware that I simply love using images and delaying posts because of aesthetics, so normally I wouldn't ever consider starting the project before having everything done, but as this week was filled with good threads, I can't simply ignore them. The first list should be live in a few hours, so keep an eye out for it. Feedback is definitely welcome, so if you have anything to say about the project, please tell us.

    Ever17 BGM

So, I installed Ever17 on my android, and since then I have all BGM as "songs". One day, I listened to BGM29, the last one, and I LOVED THE SONG O: I mean, I kept it on repeat forever. This day is today, btw. Since I only have BGM 29 as a name, I'd like to know if this song has a name/lyric/full version - focus on this last part. I mean, it is perfect, but only have 2 minutes D: and half of them is just the beat. The good part is the singer. I want to know the singer's name too. Since it is the last BGM, and has lyrics, I suppose it is an ending song, probably for the true ending? Summary: The last song from Ever17 BGM's, with name, singer, lyrics and probably a better version. edit: 2 paragraphs beggining with "since". I need more vocabulary e-e

    Hentai

Nosebleed's Collection of Female Domination I figured I'd make a post like this once. Most people here are probably aware femdom is my favorite genre when it comes to hentai, but I often see those who look at my tastes weirdly since they differ so much from common norm, which I understand and all, everyone has their own fetishes. I thought I'd make a somewhat informative post so people know the vast array of things femdom can provide, and maybe you'll find some things you enjoy in here. I'll be separating these by the kind of focus the manga has, with information on what kind of play is involved so you know exactly what you're getting into when you click them. Note all the stuff in parenthisis is related to the male, not the female. There's still much more than this, but I figured this would already provide quite the sample. Lolidom Probably my favorite sub-genre. Little girls doing big guys. http://exhentai.org/g/710671/f7fb29b8ad/ (footjobs and onaholes) http://exhentai.org/g/610269/42a8b5492a/ (mostly cbt) http://exhentai.org/g/640666/6dc0dc524b/ (pegging and cbt) http://exhentai.org/g/588501/d8860feed4/ (mostly cbt) http://exhentai.org/g/431183/a492d7bff2/ (some cbt) http://exhentai.org/g/231807/1b4ff9bd22/ (incest, bondage) http://exhentai.org/g/693442/f2af63091c/ (incest, bondage) http://exhentai.org/g/590540/25e65a7e91/ (incest, bondage, cbt) http://exhentai.org/g/393498/96cb6e7d27/ (pegging) http://exhentai.org/g/766815/401512ff71/ (yandere, incest)) http://exhentai.org/g/742621/db8439f023/ (crossdressing, pegging) http://exhentai.org/g/484150/f5fe868b2c/ (cbt, bestiality) Humilliation This is all about guys being humilliated or really looked down on by other girls. 20. I encountered no issued of any kind- Is what I'd like to say, but the music refused to work properly most of the time. Thankfully, you guys already know about this, so nothing other than that. I enjoyed the comedy a lot. Not a fan of Drama so all the nonsense with Rui and Yama were some of the less appreciated parts. The same for the apparently troubled past. Still, since I'm all in for Romance I will willingly put up with this for character growth or whatever you want to call it. But best of all were the mystery segments. I'm a big fan of mystery, but I don't have any real brains. I'm surprised I could find the right answers for most of the puzzles, and I am eagerly awaiting more of this kind of stuff. Anything I'd want to suggest is already planned, so, that's about it. Other than the protagonist? Shigure. I just have a hard time figuring out if I should be happy I understood most of what she said or unhappy that I didn't understand a bit. It's wondrous. Nothing to add. Fantastic. In particular, I absolutely adored Shigure's theme and the one which plays during puzzles is incredibly pleasing to listen to while trying to solve them. Writing? You think I'm qualified for this? I found it funny but that's about it. I don't like deep descriptions and talks and the like. When the protagonist slipped from his usual and became more... troubled? Whatever, those were the worst moments for me. But again, this is no fault of the VN. Of course I did.

  23. Hi, I decided to make an account here just to ask this question becuase I simply can't find a good place to make sure of it. Is there a full translation of Majikoi S out there? I thought wairu was the only translation team but i'm hearing that some people played through it, there is also the possibility that they played it on the Japanese version though. If the answer to that is no, is there currently a translation group working on it? In that case, do they have a site or something where I can check for updates? Also are there translated versions for Majikoi A1-A3? I'd really appreciate it if some kind soul out there could give me the latest update on this and recommend me the best translation patch for Majikoi S and A1-A3 (be it wairu or any other translation team). Sorry for the noob questions but as a Majikoi fan I'd like to get the best experience possible and i'm not exactly up to date on it so I felt like this would be the best place to ask!

I assume that you are also asking for trap protagonist (different than genderbending in my opinion), but Koisuru Otome to Shugo no Tate is one of my favorite trap VN. There are 2 translated routes iirc. Imo, they are not the best routes (Sanada route is the best!), but they should serve you well as what I really liked most is the comedy.

Femdom would be the genre. But this is a more specific kind of femdom. A lot of stuff is tagged as femdom when it's just a girl riding the guy and pretending like she's hot stuff. That's the kind of femdom i usually despise. This kind of femdom is the one that actually tortures the guy in some way and humiliates him, the kind i like. And i'm actually not a huge fan of exhibitionism on girls. Depends on the setting and how it's used i guess. I like seeing exhibitionism with males sometimes though (with females looking at them). http://exhentai.org/g/767170/73f3aa375f/ http://exhentai.org/g/724366/30d80db8b1/ http://exhentai.org/g/605804/d6c8a03eeb/

With his best impression of a deep-voiced agent, he says "Ore da. Prepare the thing." He then looks over to Chiyago, with a devious look on his face. Crooked smile and gazing eyes; the face of a demented scientist. "Sou ka. El Psy Congroo," Akihiro says as he places his phone back in his blazer. Akihiro then faces Chiyago. "Let's go. So sick of bunny black

Early on, you'll want to build up money for the pixie and the cat with the scythe, along with two of the ants (a basic, useable party). I'd suggest you also grab the skills relating to item identification and treasure-chest opening in order to reduce the amount of money you have to use. The first level is enough, if you use save-load to get the trap right every time (missing on a trap loses you money). Other than that... until you get skills that let you raise your stats and weapon capabilities, I suggest you grab the first level of healing, the first level of the sword dance (I don't know how they translated it, but it is the skill that lets Darcs attack the enemy's first row as a whole with his sword) and the first level of the non-elemental spells. Early in the game, you are going to run into situations where you have to face enemies that are hard to damage at all all the time. I really suggest you rinse and repeat the cleaning jobs in the Tower of Wind (don't know what they translated it as) until you are level 10 or thereabouts (maybe higher, depending on how much of a comfort zone you want). Also, I'm pretty sure there is a dungeon they list as being the weakest amongst them all (other than the Tower of Wind), and I'd suggest you stick to that one at least until you hit level 25. To be honest, the other places are going to kill you if you try them too early. Just make sure you bug out every time you finish your mission, as you also want to advance in rank as fast as possible. Ideally, you should have your rank maxed out for each part of the story before you hit one of the missions that advances the plot. For the late-game... make sure you've mastered Darcs' sword dance skill, his base attack skill, and all of the full-party healing skills before you go into the last boss, at the very least. Though he is an immensely powerful attacker, he is pretty much the only truly great healer the game provides you.

  36. Just got back from the Sekai Project panel at Sakura-Con (well... and the VN novel panel that ran for a couple hours afterwards), and thought I'd dump my notes here (although it seems I'm much too slow to beat Anime News Network's summary... oh well) New game announcements: - November Boy is a Boys Love VN about a stalker. Not really my thing, but maybe it's yours. They're claiming it's a really compelling story, so I guess there's that. - I'm not really sure how this counts as an announcement, since they have had it out on Early Access on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/340730/) for a while apparently, but they "announced" Sunrider Academy. It's the sequel of Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, which Sekai Project published last July, but unlike the first game, the sequel is a full-on dating sim. - Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler- is a JRPG. Apparently they are already in the editing phase. Didn't get a lot of details about the gameplay. Watch their Twitter and Facebook for further details on this one. It's interesting to see the variety here, since I at least had the impression that most of their credits were straight-up visual novels or kinetic novels, up to this point. Other interesting random announcement: - They're bringing Isuna Hasekura of Spice and Wolf fame to Anime Expo (utilizing the World End Economica connection). Kinda cool. They only gave vague assurances otherwise about in-progress projects: - WEE Episode 2 is coming "really really soon". - Fault Milestone 2 is coming out in Q3 of 2015. I hadn't even heard of this series before (apparently it's basically a doujinshi?), but they were praising it to the roof, so I might have to give it a try... - WAS is still in progress because of the work being done on the extra scenario that was funded as part of the Kickstarter (apparently it is quite substantial). Nothing even remotely approaching a release date was given, though I did separately get assurances from them that there will at least be a Kickstarter announcement coming soon. - Clannad is "still on target" - Fruit of Grisaia will be out "by the end of this month" - Ame no Marginal is coming out "in a bit". Still in translation. Memorable quotation of the panel: when trying to describe Sakura Spirit, the Sekai Project dude's preferred epithet was "geometrically-gifted".

  37. Sekai Project talked to this WRT Key, a little bit. Although it doesn't answer how they got Planetarian in the first place, they directly credit the success of Planetarian with their ability to license Clannad. The "success" there comes in two forms that they explicitly talked about (and interestingly did not include any mention of sales): - Positive reaction from fans fed to Sekai Project, which they passed on to Key - Positive reaction from fans directly to Key On the second one, they told an interesting story. Some folks from Key showed up for an anime convention in the US (I missed exactly which one) and were promptly swarmed by people asking about, of all things, Planetarian. They were apparently floored: Planetarian, to them, was old. They weren't prepared to talk about it at all, and they found themselves surrounded by enthusiastic Planetarian fans talking at them. It seems like that was a wake-up call for those folks from Key, and Sekai Project is what made it happen. So, with that background, that kind of gives a good picture of what needs to happen for the English releases of both Clannad and Grisaia to be viewed as successful by Key and Frontwing, and for us English speakers to get more chances like this: they need to get a similarly huge fan response. Of course sales numbers are important, but it sounds like that personal touch is probably going to be more important. So, when it comes time, get out there and give positive reviews; send emails filled with effusive praise; when it comes out in the very near future, declaim your love for the English-translated Grisaia to Sekai Project and directly to Frontwing (you know, assuming you actually like it ). This could be a great opportunity for all of us to help the English VN translation industry pick up momentum.

  39. I didn't notice anything wrong with the pacing. Then again, I tend to not notice pacing issues unless they're blatantly bad. I've never heard anyone complain about it being rushed though. I'm more of a Kosame guy. She's adorable.
