I liked Tokyo Babel way more, but Tsuki no Yorisou is probably smth I would still translate (though it's pretty low on my priority list).3 points

Boobs still happen, but a bit more slowly, provided you're more than a minute or two into the game. It's really quite the ingenious boob delivery system.2 points

Hey guys~ Been a while since I updated this post last. DEMO NOW AVAILABLE Links below: Direct DL Steam On sale now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/367020/ No One But You is a Visual Novel/Dating Sim about Hideaki, a high school student who has just returned to his hometown, Okutama. Upon returning, Hideaki re-discovers a town he knew from childhood, meeting new friends and reuniting with those he had long forgotten. He resumes his high school life in the big city, quickly adapting to the change in pace, and before he knows it, Hideaki begins to think of this city as his home once more. Hideaki's life in Okutama is upbeat and fun, thanks to the many friends he makes, including Megumi, an energetic student council member; Chinatsu, a reserved senior in the literature club; Shiro, an unsociable music-lover; and Yui, an obstinate girl who rarely expresses herself honestly. Surrounded by an interesting group of friends, Hideaki lives out his days without a care in the world, content to enjoy a normal high school life. Whether he's going out with friends or studying for exams, his new life is truly peaceful. But not for long. As Hideaki's stay in Okutama continues, ghosts from his past begin to come back, increasingly intruding on the new life he's trying to build. As if that wasn't bad enough, his new friends all have secrets of their own, and the more Hideaki involves himself with their daily lives, the deeper into mutual despair he sinks. Will you be able to put to rest the evils of the past and finally live out the normal high school life you crave? Will you be able to put your friends' minds at ease, erasing the trauma and misery ruining their otherwise peaceful lives? Because whether you like it or not, for this very task it can be no one but you. A little info: At the moment we are partnered with both Sekai Project and MangaGamer Characters: Screenshots:1 point

Call me shallow - but if the Sakura series (including this clicker) had adult content, it would at least have "that" going for it. But as it stands, it's just a badly-written cocktease. I can't stand when something borders on being porn, but refuses to at least give you that much. ( I mean, if your not going to satisfy my emotions or brain, you can at least satisfy my other needs ) TLDR: naked boobs or gtfo.1 point

The more Sakura stuff I see, the more I like to imagine that they have us caught in the long con. That all of their sweaty shiny boobs money is being stashed away somewhere to hire an actual writer to pen a legitimately great story to go alongside their art (which regardless of how you feel about the company as a whole, I think it can be safely agreed that the artist could be doing so much better, whoever you are sir/ma'am please raise your standards and throw yourself behind a good writing team), and once its released and people go to review it ironically only to realize, "sweet shit, this is amazing!" The internet goes nuts because people can't believe that it's actually good, and it spreads like wildfire, sales go through the roof, the Visual Novel community is saved by the second coming of OLEVNs! Men weep openly in the streets without shame or fear, sunlight bursts through the clouds with a chorus of rainbows and song! All the praises of the world are song to Winged Cloud and lauded for the achievements and accolades no one ever thought they could possibly earn! Or they just want to milk the sweaty shiny boobs money cow for as much as they can until the novelty wears down.1 point

Tsuriotsu and the Paris part. Don't need Tsuriotsu 2, since it turned out to be a piece of steaming crap (actually, I still cry at night sometimes, remembering how they failed with protagonist usage in that VN...).1 point

Finished Hagure Yuusha no Estetica. Man it's been a while since I've marathoned a whole anime in a single night. Given its genre, this show is actually on the decent side of the spectrum. The absurdity of the plot and how the protag breathed testosterone into every single word really elevated the experience. This is the dictionary definition of popcorn flick, it's so easy to watch I'm surprised. Sadly it ended where it did, I actually wanted to see where it went. I don't regret watching it at all though. Despite being just another random ecchi romance action show, the way it exposed the themes was honestly hilarious to watch and by the time it was over I actually wanted more. This was a good night.1 point -

Maboroshi no Dystopia Part 1: First Impressions and Ruriko's path
starlessn1ght reacted to Clephas for a blog entry
For various reasons, I had high hopes for this VN. For one thing, it is by the same company that did Reminiscence and for another, I just liked the basic concept. However, there is one issue that is more than a little irritating... they used an entirely new main staff (new writer, new artist) and tried to maintain an aura of similarity to the Akagoei series without the heart and soul that made that series interesting. First, the protagonist is obviously a knock-off version of Kaito, with all the same basic qualities... except intelligence. They deliberately made him something of a bird-brain, and the combination with Kaito's free-spirited behavior and a 'spoiled brat' image doesn't really work very well. The fact that he really is exactly the way he appears most of the time makes this all the more irritating. There are serious hidden elements to the story, but a big problem with that is that the most important one is easy to figure out because of the first scene of the VN. In addition, while they maintained a similar theme about the stratification of society due to inequality of wealth and adding on a caste system, there is no explanation given so far about how things ended up like that. I'm unsure of whether it was deliberate or not, but there are some really big holes in the setting so far. Making it worse is that the protagonist is legitimately disliked by three out of the four heroines... heck, Yoshiko says from the beginning that she hates him and the only one that is actively friendly is Akari, who is nice to everyone. This is a bit hard on the stomach, as the protagonist is undeservedly arrogant. Ruriko Ruriko is the protagonist's maid, the girl in the pic above. She is the only one of the heroines who doesn't attend the school, and her personality is caustic, especially toward the protagonist. Her path is really lackadaisically designed, though it is both amusing and interesting in the sense of filling in some of the details. Unfortunately, the drama, which should have had a great deal more impact, was weakly presented and solved far too easily. Given a choice, I would have advised them to completely rewrite this path, giving it more intensity and a nicely tragic feel. Unfortunately, they failed in the attempt to fuse the serious with the funny in this path, and it shows.1 point -
You should definitely try finishing it~, it just keeps getting better. Confession: I do somewhat agree with Abyss's views on this, but at the same time, I do think sometimes it takes some effort in understanding one another and some compromises between people who are a bit different. To write someone off instantly because they aren't always on the same page as you, could spoil something that could have had potential to be good. I don't mind changing a bit for someone if I could understand the reason for it, but there's also a limit to how much I'd be willing to change if it went against my core values. As long as you tried to reconcile, I think that's the best you could do... that shows that you cared enough at least. Now, it's her turn to try~ and if it doesn't work out.. then just not meant to be I guess^^; like, Abyss said.. some aren't worth the effort keeping if it's that easy to break up in the first place. I hope it works out though!1 point

Finished Haibane Renmei.... My heart is a complete void right now. This show was as uplifting as it was depressing, a true embodiment of bittersweet. Such a simple setting, barely any questions were answered about the world, yet by the end the emotional connection really made itself feel. Also I do feel like there's some deeper metaphorical meaning to the whole story, but at the moment I'm too busy with dealing with all these feels. Truly a great anime, this is the kind of stuff that gives anime artistic merit.1 point -

What is Chloe? Chloe is a point and click horror game with puzzle elements. A dark story about family, choice, and consequences. Featuring a non-linear story and exploring family life without secrets. It's based on Y;N, another visual novel styled horror game, taking the point and click elements from it and also partly based on Those without Names as the main character explores her past. "Chloe is trapped in her own home, and what starts out as a way to find a key to get out soon turns sinister as she realises something -or someone- is out to get her. Will she get out safely and find out the mystery? Or will she be consumed by the past? That is up to you." The Team Rinima (writing and coding) and Jack (advertising and management) form the core team, but we also out source from people all over the world, including Accha (character art) who worked on Dreaming Mary and Painted Heart, Joshua Mock (music) who worked on Tunnel Vision, Badriel (Background art) who has worked on Aurora's Nightmare, Sakura Angels, My Little Dictator and many others, Hijiri (Logo and GUI) who has worked on Death Rule: Lost Code and Aeternam Conquest: Judgment and Barzini (marketing).
