Hi and good day to you, fuwans. I need a recommendation on VNs that ends with a horrifying death scene and/or contain a lot of tragedic death scenes. Something like School Days's bad end (the notorious graphic violence scene) or VNs that contains the atmosphere of Saya no Uta. What I've known so far is KnS, Divi-Dead and SubaHibi (according to VNDB, contains madness and Denpa). So, are there any other VNs that contains these scenes? Preferably, I would like a translated one but an untranslated one is also accepted. I can just use VNR for the untranslated ones. So just spam in anything that comes into your mind. And the reason why I like VNs with death scenes? Because they're kinda depressing to look at and I like some of the death scenes due to......personal reasons. N-no, I'm not a sadist or masochist or anything. (No suspicion there)

I find this statement in itself to be a spoiler to the game. Might wanna put that in a spoiler tag. Also, Euphoria has a lot of messed up deaths in the bad endings, and its mind bending and depressing as all hell. (It's good though.)

So, I saw that thread about cliche stories, so I kinda came up with an idea. If you were a visual novel writer and was asked to write a rather radical plot that has never been written before, what would it be? Here's my list: - A galge about a Christian man going to Saudi Arabia to date and possibly marry an Arab woman. Has a harem route obviously. - A nakige visual novel about a Jewish female survivor during World War 2 who falls in love with a German soldier. - A moege where you get to date these 5 diverse women: A Chinese loli girl, a busty brunette onee-san with a sexy Spanish accent, an English speaking ojou-sama, a Russian tsundere, and an athletic African girl. - An otome game where you play as an S&M club queen and you get to punish I mean go out with different masochist men. - A visual novel where you play as a puppy and seduce other bitches (literally). Beware: Furries? - A visual novel with gameplay elements where you play as a delivery man/mail man/Fed Ex guy and try to sleep with as many women as you can. So what silly and stupid radical plots did you guys come up with? Oh and if any vn fits the ideas above already, feel free to share them because I don't know any who fit in these categories/plots yet.

The info isn't as up-to-date as I'd like, but it's a great place to start out. To be honest, I'm sort of a Kanji character specialist so he's the only character that I've written a full tutorial for, but I've dabbled with other characters and even won some local tournaments with a scrubby Narukami. If you're looking for a strong, easy to learn character Narukami is amazing. I had a dream a while ago (don't even know how long), about everyone here on Fuwa. We were all on this spaceship or something and I decided we should have a party for some reason, I don't remember much, but I think we were fighting some kind of threat. At the end I think, Funya and Cyr got together for whatever reason, and I had a crush on Cyr too apparently so I was salty. I had another dream about that same universe today, where Cyr and Funya weren't doing so well. That and we had to exterminate these rat-like things that had some sort of disease. My dreams make no sense.

My Coµ seems to work fine on win10 64-bit with the WIN8WOH patch. Try reinstall or something if possible.

I'd say it takes about 2 hours a day for about 6 months (about 360 hours of study) to get to a decent place to try starting reading VN's. This is focusing on grammar and reading (not conversation or writing). A few people actually get through this in 6 months, but most kind of wind through it in 1-1.5 years. Another reason why the start takes longer is that its the part where you have to get used to studying Japanese, and also figure out what you should be studying about. It's very disorienting for the first while since you'll have no idea how close you are to being able to read. After that, about 1000 hours of reading and another 200 hours of grammar/vocab study (this part is very important, don't stop studying completely once you've started reading) and you'll be able to read 95% of VN's comfortably with dictionary assistance. This part probably takes another 1-1.5 years. Add another 1000 hours of reading and 200 hours of grammar/vocab study, and you can read most VN's without dictionary assistance without looking up too many words. I don't like to say "you can read VN's if you study for 5 years." It's more like, if you study for X amount of hours (with a non-silly study method), there's no way you won't make substantial progress towards your goal.

I can't believe I missed this excellent thread until now. It might be because I already find Cer's VN taste a bit intimidating, so something that she thought of as "radical" would probably come off to me as "terrifying"... but I mustered my courage to read the thread anyway, and it's great! I tend to find setting very important, so I tried to think of some unusual ones. I was amused to find that the "Submarine" tag has no fewer than 12 matching VNs on VNDB. However, none of them appears to be a locked-room mystery, so I present: A submarine captain is murdered with a firearm, but mysteriously nobody aboard the cramped boat hears it occur. Our protagonist, the chef, becomes the ranking officer overnight, but with no better alibi than peeling potatoes, he'll certainly be named the primary suspect when the sub reaches port. He's got his eye on the wily and attractive ship physician, whose heated arguments with the captain were common mess hall gossip, but the true motive may be something far more personal. Will he crack the case in time, or is it his future to waste away in military prison like so much rotting produce? Edit: Ok, here's a much better idea: A charage where you play as Baldr, Norse God of Light. You spend your days with your osananajimi, the gorgeous but unreliable gender-bent Loki; you spend your nights carousing in Valhalla, wooing women. The game has 3 heroines, each with their own True Ending. After the credits roll at the end of the route, we see a final cutscene: Baldr and heroine, dead in the snow. Heroine has a bullet through her head, and Baldr has a hole where his heart used to be. A little further away, we see Loki, her back to us, a glock in one hand and a piece of mistletoe, dripping blood and gore, in the other. After you complete all the True Endings, the Lie Ending route becomes available. Baldr and yandere Loki get together. In the post-credit cutscene for the Lie Ending, Loki and Baldr are leaning towards each other for a kiss. Loki blushes furiously, while Baldr looks uneasily upwards, where Loki holds a piece of mistletoe above their heads.

You get sent to an old folks home or maybe an neighbourhood for old people waiting for their time to come. There you meet with 4 other senior citizens. One if them has azeimers disease, the other is a crazy cat lady(because why not), the third is a bed ridden grandmother who has been hit by stroke, the final heroine is an old lady who refuses to act her age. Your goal? Find a way to escape the old folks home and get revenge on your children for sending you there. What were you thinking? Find love as an old man to replace your wife?
