So I made it to 500 posts. You may be thinking I've gotten to it through means like spamming...and you'd be right, but I just love these forums that much. I haven't dedicated this much time into a single site for a long time and all the people here are pretty cool folks. Common route? WTF is that trash? Arent I suppose to just meet and fuck the girl without any of these nonsense? After the chapter/segment that introduces all heroines, I tend to skip common routes because most of them are filler/comedy shit anyway.

Seems like they've, finally, gotten most things straightened out on this Kickstarter; any reasonably-addressable complaint I've seen so far on this forum (i.e., discarding unreasonably expensive suggestions like creating new merch or making a physical Vita release happen, somehow) has been addressed. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, now...

Thanks all for the continued feedback. We're certainly listening and adapting as best we can with what we have for this campaign. We've been pushing hard the last week or so and are on a solid track to getting this one funded. If anyone has any additional feedback, please keep it coming. We certainly love to hear from all of you...be it positive, constructive criticism, or even the not so constructive criticism (because sometimes you just need to vent, and that's totally cool with me). EDIT: Oh, and on a side note (not necessarily directly related to visual novels per se), we're getting ready to launch Rabi-Ribi tomorrow. If you dig metroidvania-style 2D platforming games and Touhou-style bullet-hell (bunny-hell in this case ) boss battles, this one might be right up your alley.

The most creepy depiction of ancient Japan can be found here: https://vndb.org/v14314 It's a pretty old game, but also pretty realistic in how it shows how dirty and corrupt the old Japan was. The Japanese hate this game because they tend to idealize their history. But for Western people there is tons of information and creepy imagery to be found you probably didn't know of yet. Also, this is one of the two video games Roger Ebert loved. And he hated video games. ^^ It's kinda an open world game and a hidden gem, especially if you have an interest in ancient Japan and Japanese mythology.

Any Eushully games, most of them have translated interfaces, not actual story though. Other then that i'm going to recommend most Alicesoft games, they have interesting stories and really fun gameplay in my opinion. A good example would be Sengoku Rance.

They've fixed a lot of the problems with the tiering here. The $99 Vita option is still a bit overpriced as you'll probably be able to just wait a year and buy it at half that price on release, but I suppose that's the price you pay if you want to ensure this gets released at all. And I suspect this will give it enough of a boost to ensure it will get funded, it only needed another moderate bump from where it already was before.

The $99 tier is very reasonable to me, and if I had the funds I absolutely would be all over it. But I'm happy that this now has a good shot at making it so I can buy it down the road.

I also have a question - is it possible to omitt every h scenes? So far from what I have seen - it almost is. Only one inevitable seems to be But every (fuckin!) walkthrough is focused on 'collect all the p*ssy' type of gameplay, which angers me greatly, because we all know how h-scenes can ruin great mood in story driven VNs. Did you know walktrough which is story focused and omitting unnecessary sex? Because I wanted to be 'pure' and have sex only with girl I love, after eventuall love confession or non at all. Also - does Stella have some CG with her? While playing on my own I developed some bond with her, I had a scene when Reji found probably her pendant, but never had a chance to return it to her (cause bad ending happened before I could). And is any walkthrough, which I couldn't find, 'collecting' all of her random encounter scenes? Right now I'm on rout to Normal Ending, and while visiting Stella on one point, they barely know each other at end of April, which was sad.

Yeah, I might still give it a try. I didn't really rule it out completely anyway, but after the first play-through I simply needed a break from it and read something different. You're not the only one liking it. While I'm not the only one who dislikes the village parts, there's also a fairly large group who seems to like that part in particular. So there's certainly something special about it that seems to cause those split opinions. I do have a hunch though. The section has a very slow pacing and I seem to struggle with those. In general I seem to enjoy VN's with a fast pacing more than others and VN's with a slow pacing less than others. The problem is most likely that I have a rather slow reading speed, probably caused by the fact that English isn't my mother language although it's probably more than just that. Actually, Clephas wrote a blog a few weeks ago where he directly linked reading speed to enjoyment of a visual novel. It was quite enlightening even if it wasn't particularly long. It actually made me remember that it took me about 2 - 3 days to finish Eden while another guy apparently finished it in just a few hours. I also have to reduce the auto reading speed in VN's almost always since it's way too fast for me with the default setting. So I'm pretty sure that it has something do with that. Unfortunately, I can't exactly snip with my fingers and double my reading speed. So I'm probably doomed to be not be able to appreciate highly descriptive text like a faster reader. It's a bit frustrating, but since I seem to enjoy most stuff like normal, I can probably live with the few problematic VN's which are written for more advanced readers.

The Jesus comment by firecat has now proven to me that he is not real and is indeed a troll who has kept this shenanigan up for more than a year. I really wanted to believe that you are truly insane, but this is the icing on the cake. I think the best part about all of this is that while firecat is trolling us, we are trolling him for being a troll, which makes it that much more pleasant.

Oh, looks like I was quite late to the party, but let me say this first. Congratulations on your very successful Kickstarter, Mikandi Japan. Although I'd never give my post here, I'd always followed your progress you know. Anyway, my impression for this VN was the graphic and OP was good, although my judgement may be wrong though. While usually I would comment about seiyuu, in here I couldn't comment much because they still had quite small role roster for translated VN, and I usually like to comment about seiyuu for translated VN. Although I'll give comment about that very later though. For character design, I think for now Lycoris had the best design, if only for the her cloth. But for now I'd said all of the characters design was quite good. As for the premise, I think it'll be like Tsukihime because of vampire thing, even though I maybe wrong. Either way looking forward for this game release in English, although from now it'll be a long time (Around 10 months later). Oh, and for Mikandi Japan thanks for your effort for translating this game to English. That's all from me and feel free to update the progress here. PS I prefer you release the VN at 2016 Halloween, but if you want to do that at November, it's okay.

And that is really a good thing, so many moeges introduce these silly problems and blow them up to the sky like it's the beginning of the BETA invasion. It is nice to read something that doesn't necessarily treat the issues like anything much more than what they are. Fucking shitty pointless filler. After reading it I came to the conclusion that Maya is the best girl, she is also nice in the way that she doesn't have any extreme proportions, which is rare and therefore makes it so much nicer. Sena is not bad either, quite nice actually. Akari was not all that interesting, she had her stupid ideas which luckily wasn't around for too long but the character felt pretty much like nothing at all. Nice to look at though. Hinata could have been sort of fun but in the end it wasn't. Shizuru is just a waste of a nice voice. The character has zero appeal in any way.

Finish Maya's Route. After three (or four) routes, I think that VN is pleasant. But I can't hide a certain feeling of disillusion Contrary to KoiChoco, there is no surprise (even if I liked Akari's ending). My current rating would be 6,5/10. Edit : Finish Bonus "Route"
