    First August Update

Hello guys. This is our first bi-weekly update. I'll cover everything that needs to be mentioned and all of that. Progress speed has been the average, nothing extraordinary, but it's still progress whatsoever. Here we go: Majo Koi Nikki As you guys may or may not know, we have released our first partial patch (check the post out if you haven't) which covers around 4.200 lines approximately, basically the game's prologue. Apart from that, the progress has been steady this last couple of days and we managed to reach 30% of translated lines. The TLC has catched up with the translation progress and the editing keeps progressing with no bumps whatsoever. Translation Progress 30% (12203/40208) Witch's Garden This game has probably the juiciest news out of the two, so brace yourselves. Eclair's route has been completely finished and the only two routes left are Ayari's. So yeah, those are very good news. Apart from that, TLC progress is steady and editing is still on hold, we want to keep making progress in the TLC field, because at this point we're basically retranslating full scripts sometimes and just a couple of lines in others, it's really strange and frustrating for the TLC's sometimes, so that's why we ask for your patience, because the TLC (or retranslation) will take some time to finish. Anyways, here are the numbers for both: Translation 66% TLC 10% We haven't included the accurate line numbers this time because we're experienceing some difficulties with the already linebreaked original lines, messing up the count. Sorry about it. Other things worth mentioning: We've created a Twitter account. There, we'll be pumping live and small updates about progress and what happens in the group in general, so be sure to follow us! One translator who previously worked in Majo Koi (Rauros Falls) has decided to step back from Majo Koi and start translating Musumaker again. Expect Musumaker updates as well as soon as he starts working on it. We are very glad to announce that we are going to be taking care of a new project in this group. The game is called Kanojo to Ore to Koibito to (VNDB). Soon, we'll add it to our current active projects and lay out the usual links and pages for it for people to be more informed about it. Expect progress about this project in our website from now on. About Kanojo to Ore to Koibito to (or tototo or shorts), the people taking care of it were the recent team members that weren't listed in neither of our staff pages for the two current active projects in our website (Majo Koi and WG). The team is: Mitch (Translator) Nohara (TLC/Translator) Takeshira (Editor) Archonoffail (Proofreader) Waterflame (Image Editor) Frc (Hacker) Aizen-Sama (Coordinator) Anyways, that's everything for now. I hope this wasn't a long read. Have a nice day everyone and until next time!

  2. Visual Novel Translation Status (08/06/2016) Well, sorry for not interesting title here. For the title, since admin Tay was recommended us to buy Fata Morgana 6 times while in Fata Morgana we had white haired girl, so why not make black haired girl as the title here since we had the black haired girl as image header. For VN release (Hunk Factory), let's just said that it's not my interest to said it lightly. Oh, and for the VN in image header, it's quite unpopular there if we looking at VNDB. This week there's not much update to write here, and Sekai was apparently had some shakeup in the company. JAST was still usual business for them (No update), and there's no update from Mangagamer (Maybe they preparing for Otakon) instead they hold summer sales there, which to be honest not quite interested but if you want to buy Mangagamer VN at cheaper price, go ahead. And since we didn't had many update, instead of section I'll just made some roundup for each paragraph here. Sekai, while they facing some shakeup they're still give some usual update here. Both of Tenshin Rahman and Maitetsu progress here was had significant progress (19.27% translated for Maitetsu and 33.78% for Tenshin Rahman), while Chrono Clock progress here was as fast as snail ie slow (26.84% translated). I Miss Her was had 0.2% translation progress bringing it to 7.22% translated. And for last news here Princess Knight will be released at August 30th according to Steam store here. Other than small updates, there's not much here. For fan translation progress, first of all let me said that Kanobito translation will be joined with Luna Translation here (By the way, finally Kanobito had editor there). Speaking about Luna Translation, this week they gave some juicy update here (Majokoi 30% translated, while for Witch Garden we had 66% translation progress (Eclair route was fully translated) and 10% TLC). Bishoujo Mangekyou, we had 33.9% editing progress and QC at 20.1%. For Tsui Yuri, there's some update in editing (63% edited) but looks like there will be some obstacle in translating here. Other than that, not much to talk here, although if I may nitpicking here Hanasaki progress was not 43% translated for Hikari's route, but 48% (I knew it's quite hard to see the exact number though). For closing words here right now I also played Supipara, which since this is minori it mean that there's usual scenery porn from them, and there's some nice sakura effect there (Although it slowed down the text though, or maybe my laptop was too old here). By the way, for first word here the MC was had some kind of amnesia and so does his mother (Which quite young despite being around 36 or 37). I'll write my little review about this later. Sorry for short entry this week here, and see you next week. PS - Maybe next week I'll also write about Otakon announcement here. Edit - Right now for Hanasaki we had more than half (51%) Hikari route translated.

  3. Canvas 2 is waaay better than I expected. I'll bash the translation any day and typos are aplenty, but the Visual Novel itself seems great. I'm not even sure whether I'm on the common route or in a route or whatever, but it's long, it feels like I'm in control, and it feels really well crafted. It feels even more divergent than CLANNAD, and that's one hell of an achievement. The first playthrough, without a walkhrough, of this Visual Novel is truly magical. It feels like you're in control but it's not nearly as messy as CLANNAD. It's marvellous. The issue? I haven't gotten into a real route as far as I can tell, so I don't know how the romance proper will be. Will it be an *enters relationship* *has sex* *the end* sort of thing? I'm hoping not but it's feeling like it. Regardless, even if that were to be the case, I cannot deny that even the daily scenes can feel fairly romantic on occasion. EDIT: Also, a love triangle with two men outside of an otome. This is unprecedented! I, Protagonist-sama, have competition? Outrageous! Completely unrealistic!

  4. What an eventful week this was. First up, some progress on both the editing and QC was made. Now, it isn't the most, but progress is always progress, and I'm happy about it. We'll try to make some amount of progress every week. Second up, I had my hands full polishing some things and making our very own Discord server, now open for public. So, if you have some questions, want to chat with the staff, or just bitch me about how much of a fuckboy I am, go on ahead. Now without further ado, here's the link to the server. You can also get the link from the main page, in Recruitment, and in Contact Us. Progress thus far: Translation: 100% Editing: 33,9% QC: 20,1% Proofreading: 0% Until next week.

  7. I think I get the joke. You're so funny haha. It sounds interesting and I like the art style of it. But how long before a translation for it is even possible? I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

  8. Judge it with your own eyes, besides 4 votes aren't enough to make a proper judgement. Taking into account many different factor could have contribute it score. (Like being short or not having h-content, everything is possible so further data is required)

So all last month I've been watching the pokemon anime from Kanto to Kalos. Still on Kalos since its not done yet. Btw I like Serena the best so far. . . and bonnie. I really don't want to see them just toss Serena out once Kalos is done though. Anyway it was a fantastic journey. And now i really want to play a pokemon game. Have you all seen any of the anime?

  12. Nothing. And I'm frustrated about it. Yesterday I even watched tv series and movie I saw once not so long ago. I have 'opened' 5 titles(!) right now. - Dengeki Stryker - I'm After 3 sagas, all chapters from original games, still have 2 'additional' sagas from 'Cho Dengeki Stryker' version. I couldn't started next saga, because ending after 3rd one was really fullfilling. Around 15 h to finish. - Fata Morgana - I'm in the middle, maybe a little further (minor spoilers) And although I love this game it's somehow really hard for me to get immerse. Especially that it's a very 'night' game, not to read in bright sunshine. Around 10-15 hours left. - Grisaia No Kajitsu - Only Yumiko chapter left. I hate this game, common, Amane, Makina and Sachi routes were atrocious, but I loved (despite it flaws especially at the end) Michiru chapter. I hear that Yumiko is much more 'down to earth' and it's written by other writter than that incompetent prick, Fujisaki Ryuuta, but other doesn't necessarily means better - Sachi route was at the same level as Amane and Makina. I'm exruciating myself with this VN for long, long months and still can't finish this. Basing on script lenghts and my reading speed I would say that 10h left till the end. - Killer Queen - I finished first route it was horrbily boring with stupid, annoying characters (I gave it 4.5/10). I started second, unique route, but main characters in this (10 year old loli, and yes - there will be h scenes with her) are even worse. It's around 4-7 hours of reading through tedious, boring and painfull story. It pains me even thinking about that, but I'm sure that I will sometime finish this. - Period - I strted this few months ago, read through half of common route and really liked one character. One out of 7, or 8 main heroines. So, in July I started it once again and in one day I read through common route and then I read chapter of his favourite character of mine - tomboyish Aoi. ...aaaand I have no urge to read anybody else. If this vn have around 30h, I'm around 24 before ending. So, people of Fuwa, help me please. I'm mildly ill right now, so I have a weekend at bed, without even internet connection, if not count few short moments, like this one right now. It's 15:17 right now. So, please - help me choose a VN I should read over this weekend, help me finish something. I can't wait for Ever17, but there is still a long, long way to go.

  17. I'll like to thank everyone here too for adding to my stockpile of anime! @UrusaiSenpai i bookmarked your mal page to check later . To arkamondal, sorry i have nothing more to add that hasn't already been mentioned, though i would like to re-highlight @Arcadeotic's mention of Spice and Wolf, it is indeed amazing. The banter is witty and charming. The romance is warm and gentle. I reckon you'll thoroughly enjoy it. Plus economics! Ps: actually, let me add kokoro connect, Kotonoha no Niwa, Zetsuen no Tempest, Tamako Love Story, hanasaku iroha, durarara [alot of the characters have romances, celty best girl]. Good luck hunting!

AmagamiSS Brighter than the dawning blue Chivalry of a Failed Knight Chobits Cross Game Eureka 7 Golden Time Itazura na Kiss Kaichou wa maid sama Karin Kobato Lovely Complex A Lull in the Sea Maison Ikkoku Maria the Virgin Witch My Bride is a Mermaid My Love Story Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Planetes Please Teacher Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo Snow White with Red Hair ToraDora Wagnaria!! Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches Zero no Tsukaima Trimmed my ultimately satisfying ending list with series where romance predominates. None of these have bad endings or unresolved romance/harems. All of these I rate 7/10 or better. There are numerous other romances too but this is my best selection (in my opinion) that I've watched.

  23. Golden Time. Just finished it and I thought it was really good. It's not a pure romance-romance anime, but a Romance anime with some comedy and drama mixed in. After every episode I felt like it wasn't really 25minutes, so it was enjoyable to me. Amagami SS is also pretty good. It's split up into each different heroine's route though (it's based off a dating sim iirc) Photokano is similar to it, but more rushed through. Shuffle! is one I liked too, there's some fantasy element to it though White Album 2....?...yeah, maybe not. Most I watch may only have romance as a sup-plot, and not specifically center around that. Like Kokoro Connect.

  24. Would not be a proper romance recommendation thread without a mention of Eureka Seven. I personally consider this the best romance series in anime, and it's my 2nd favorite romance story in any medium (with Lucia's route in Rewrite taking 1st). The protagonist does start off a little whiny at the beginning, but he does go through some intense development as the show progresses. The story is very interesting too, and ties in with the romance in a unique and interesting way. Unfortunately, the plot isn't resolved at the end, but the romance is still very satisfying. Whatever you do, though, don't watch the sequel afterwards. It's pretty bad, lol.

  27. The White World was an indiependent project made by hobbyists from Israel. It was written in hebrew and unofficially translated to english. The visual novel tells the story of Tom, a pessimist who wakes up in a hospital, inside a strange snowy world, completely deserted. A world in which time stays still and escaping seems impossible. As he explores the world he finds some other lost souls to talk to as he tries to get out of it alive. READ AT GameJolt: http://gamejolt.com/games/the-white-world/122670

  32. Sanahtlig's article has been posted and discussed in several communities, but I feel many people don't understand the actual point Sanah wanted to make. The main point isn't that Nutaku has censored their games (this is old news); it's the cover-up. They don't want people to know that they've EVER censored their games. Actually, I believe Nutaku when they say they won't censor anymore. But only time will tell, we can't make assumptions yet. No, the point of Sanah's article is this: Nutaku wants to clear its name, tarnished by their own hands. They don't want to be associated with censorship. And to do that, they use every option at their disposal, ethical or not: Never announcing when games are censored or what was censored Making up payment processor issues that don't seem to impact other Western eroge companies, or that they've even mentioned, ever Complaining to Sanah when they stealth-reverted the censorship and he dared to still feature the game in his censorship list DMCA takedown for Sanah's perfectly legit comparison gallery on imgur Not fessing up to the takedown and ignoring Sanah's inquiries about it They don't want to talk about this. They simply don't want "Nutaku" and "Censorship" to be mentioned in the same sentence. But now Sanah exposed this behavior. And what are they doing? Being Nutaku of course: Implying Sanahtlig tampered with evidence Making up weak excuses Sanah had already proven wrong in his article Telling Reddit and Operation Rainfall that they took down the gallery .. because it wasn't linked to a review!? That doesn't even make any sense! To summarize the issues that Sanah tried to expose in his article, Nutaku: has not been transparent about changes in their games Silences people who associate Nutaku with censorship Lies and selfishly cover-up evidence to hide that I hope I could clear up some of these misunderstandings. I feel people are taking away very superficial impressions, on both sides of the debate. But the actual message is probably best condensed in the title of Sanahtlig's article: "Nutaku caught abusing DMCA takedowns to censor evidence of censorship". And that's what people should be aware of.

    What are you playing?

I did it bois, finally finished Fate/Stay Night after centuries of delays I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but it was an overall very enjoyable read. Will admit, after suffering through the mildly lackluster Fate route, my expectations for Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel sank rock bottom, but each subsequent route managed to add meaningful lore, character depth, and present interesting contrasting beliefs resulting in a fulfilling experience Fate suffered from being the 'intro' route- you don't get too much info about the Holy Grail War & overall universe, and the heroine of the route Saber gets heavily stagnated by Shirou's infuriating "You're a girl, so you shouldn't fight!" belief. UBW rectifies this- Shirou ain't head over heels for Saber this time so yippee, no Saberblocking. But who cares about Saber- Archer takes the spotlight this time, and after a series of Wtf-is-this-guy-doing?! you will finally realize his game and ohh shit, things just got personal!! And of course there's Shirou x Rin, and you guys should know how much bias I have for that girl by now >.> Heaven's Feel.... it'll drag a couple characters that felt pretty side-charactery up 'til now into the main plot... and damn, the atmosphere throughout this one can get pretty eerie and creepy. It'll also reveal some "Wtf, there's more?" lore about the Holy Grail, and there's some choices Shirou has to make that completely defy what he would've done in other routes, so it's pretty thrilling. That being said, the characters are what made this VN for me. From Saber's undying loyalty to Rin's incessant teasing, this cast is definitely one of the more entertaining bunch with many ups and downs and it was a pleasure to witness their story. 8.5/10 Misc. Stats: Best route: Unlimited Blade Works > Heaven's Feel >>>>>>>>> Fate Best girl: Rin >>> Saber > Illya > Sakura Best Servant: Archer > Saber >>> Rider > Lancer > Berserker >>> Caster > Assassin TL;DR:

    We Happy Few?

I like most of what I have seen so far in the game but I don't think I'll jump into early access just yet without more updates. The world is there, a few of the NPCs are there, but otherwise, right now, it is a walking sim from what I've seen. Still, holds a lot of promise.

Dang, I guess there's no love for the game here, haha (TUT)~ I picked up and tried out the game last night. It is more or less like the reviewers have said. Quite a lot like Go Go Nippon except in China. The two heroines have pretty much no tension so it is a calm sort of tale if you are into that. They more or less exist just to show us around. Artworks are fantastic. Importantly, I very much respect them having Chinese speaking heroines with Chinese names. That is what I meant by folks doing their own thing and being true to who to hey are, while still having love for things they enjoy. This game will probably never get noticed much. It is a short game with a tame journey, so there is no saying is is unfair. Still, I respect it without basing it on popularity or profit.
