  2. (mood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiHA7Aw2GiE) So basically, that lil counter under my avatar is showing a really neat number right about now: It's been almost two and a half years since I joined Fuwa. That... sounds much shorter than it feels. Spending hours upon hours on this website almost every single day is not something I regret in the slightest. I do not give two vaguely inscribed shitstains that I might be being too intimate here, but the thing is, I consider the people I met on this website very, very close friends. I share more of my troubles with you than anyone else. This might sound idiotic, since this is merely a haven of shitposting about Chinese fuckycomputerbooks from the outside. However, I truly value the time I spent -spend- with so many people on here as something special and priceless. I feel I can share everything with you guys (and gals, however many of you are there), and that is very special to me. I see this place as family, even though not many people here might agree with that (and see it simply as a place to have fun, and that's fine). And now past the sappy part (lol, as if) and into the sweet memery of Fuwan callouts! @Vokoca, thank you for always listening to my hype spam on Skype. Shit matters more than you think, man. FSG/FSK crew, a special thanks goes to you for being the most hilarious bunch of rowdy losers I'll probably ever have the pleasure of meeting. @babiker, @hsmsful, @HMN, @Zakamutt, @joehawks12, @TexasDice, Kuu-chan, and many others I'm forgetting, you guys are awesome. @OriginalRen, you ain't gonna read this most likely, but I have always appreciated your efforts to spur on this community. Hope you have found somewhere you belong again. @Aaeru, I never got to know you (and since it appears that you've wiped the Aaeru persona from the internet, I likely never will), but I am grateful to you for creating this website, anything else nonwithstanding. @Stray Cat, I don't know why you left, but you're missed, and I still remember you fondly. @Tiagofvarela, the noble and just Tiag from the fair land of Varela, I am honored to indulge in the happiness of knowing for a fact that you were the first soul dwelling upon these lands I happened to acquaint myself with., my oldest friend. @Nosebleed, @Kurisu-Chan, you two are my role models in terms of wonderful shitposting. Glad to see you here alive and kicking every day. @Okami, you beautiful bastard, hope your soul dwells in the pure, sexless anime paradise you seek forevermore. (he's not dead, guys- he just quit fuwa) @krill, hope you're faring just fine, man. No one is as yandere as you. @CeruleanGamer, our resident dominatrix. It's always great fun talking to you. @Tay, @Nayleen, I can't thank you guys enough for running this site. I owe you so much. @Kenshin_sama, I owe a special thanks to you for being there whenever I was unsure, or anxious, or worried or angry. I really, truly view you as a guide and a role model in the best sense of the word. I am forgetting many people, but Fuwa as a whole is indescribably special to me. All of you matter a huge ton to some 16-year old cuck at a southern corner of Europe. I LOVE YOU FUCKERS

  4. Good luck to @Kenshin_sama and @Barktooth! College may be intimidating at first but it'll become a routine eventually so i'm sure you guys will be fine. Depending on your college, they may have genshiken sort of clubs, so you may just meet a bunch of people that'll end up liking the same things and having activities like viewing parties and stuff along with it. If you'll are soloist, don't worry, just keep up with your work and start assignments bit by bit as soon as you get them and you'll have plenty of time for animes, vns etc. Try not to procrastinate!! [if you want your anime time that is] Doing last minute assignments is a huge F-ing pain [i did a few of them last minute 2 in my time]. Again, good luck! and have fun!

  7. Well since I got mentioned and happened to notice it I guess I could spare a few moments to say a few words. If you know me then you know I never really approved much of shit posting and what I loved about Fuwa was that discussions ware taken seriously and there ware some enough intelligent people around to be capable to have a discussion with me. True it doesn't really matter to me anymore with how Fuwa is now and besides as I see it Fuwa has reached it's goal of making VNs popular in a west. You said a few things that back in the day I couldn't let pass but I given up on humanity completely and don't have any more tolerance to deal with people any more witch I guess I have Fuwa to thank for, witch despite how it sounds to normal people I consider a good thing as in the first place I shouldn't have wasted my time on humans from this world and just concentrate on one thing witch really matters in this world witch are Anime (And when I say Anime I also include everything that comes with it such as VNs, Manga, JRPGS etc.). I guess I was too kind trying to show people the truth about this world despite knowing all to well what people are and how pointless it would be, after all The truth is not for all people but only for those who seek it.

  8. Maybe try making it mainly for yourself, rather than for others? Perhaps then you'll know what artstyle you'd like to stick with. Making things only with money in mind is a rather shortsighted approach.

  12. happened to pause albatross for the moment, guess i currently can not take reading anything non-linear for longer than 7-8h at most, same as works that are voiced, but immediately switched to some newly discovered little whatsnot, called "ノナプルナイン TS:NONUPLE NINE 被験体:999999999", in hopes of it delivering on its initial premise, btw. non falling prey to common tropes and hopefully straying away from the clichee. edit: the voiced vs unvoiced dilemma of mine does not neccessarily also include doujinshi, at least not all of them. edit2: from the huge armada of partly free, but nonetheless great ones, i happened to read over the last couple of weeks, there were some which stood out the most such as the free and rather short dark-ish otomege named "tryst of prison". not wanting to go much into detail here, because doing so would unevitably come across as rude and spoiler-ish behaviour to those possibly getting interested in said title, but without a doubt the read itself ended up being quite some meaningful experience in my case. despite its overall shortness "tryst of prison" managed to establish a believable setting, needed background-stories and was basically all about a growing, yet somehow strained relationship between madame freelance prisonward and a certain death row inmate, who awaited the imminent execution of his. few decisions had to be made, which mostly led to satisfactionary outcomes, depending on ones own emotional take on the story itself. whilst minor stuff like transitions between dialogues and actual happenings felt sometimes a little off, there was not much to complain besides the aforementioned, and frankly speaking i will not dare to since this is still a works for free. anyway if you are fond of a story playing around with redemption, guilt and forgiveness as its core-elements, go for it, otherwise do yourself a favour and better not.

  13. You know what time it is? Of course you do, it's stealing games from other forums time! Using sketchtoy/paint/whatever you like, make a shitty (or non-shitty, if you feel like wasting time) drawing of a vn character for other members to guess I don't feel like the normal rules of pictionary would be very fun in this instance, so just guess and show off as much as you like. example: http://sketchtoy.com/67344306 @Deep BlueI apologize

  14. I found this response interesting: I think he's ignoring the elephant in the room: that if games are made with a Steam release in mind, that this necessarily limits the creative process. There's game concepts that don't work (or would be considered inappropriate) when your target platform is Steam: Ikusa Megami Zero, Sengoku Rance, and the Venus Blood series, just to name a few of my favorites. Games being modularly designed with excisable ero content is a very real concern of mine. This highlights a more fundamental issue: that many of us like Japanese games for the reason that they deal with different sorts of themes and they're not bound by Western cultural values. As soon as they start consciously targeting the Western audience, they'll dilute the qualities that make the games appealing to us (fans of niche Japanese entertainment) in the first place. They tried to reassure us that this wasn't the case, but in the big scheme of things I'm not convinced.

  29. After all those years of gaming, I can only state one thing - when games became pure business, both for creators and players themselves, everything ended. You definitely know something's wrong, when a computer game becomes like a second job; at least, you should by then. If it's not fun anymore - don't play it. If you're getting stressed out, instead enjoying it - stop playing it. If you feel like other people are taking away from your own enjoyment - leave them behind and find something else (propably better) to do. I had my share of bad experiences, caused by feeling "forced" to do things because X/Y/Z required it, rather than playing for my own personal enjoyment. It's also a direct indicator, developers have failed at designing the game and put other, less important aspects over fun and engaging player experience; worst of all, they're mostly unable to see such mistakes being done and repeated. I quit mmorpg's and I'm not planning on going back. I'd advise you all to do the same - there's literally nothing those games have to offer nowadays, except for a massive timesink; time, you could use doing more constructive things, like reading books or visual novels . Trust me - once you stop giving a damn and let it go, life becomes so much better.

  31. Yeah, I was underwhelmed by the story arc. It was really slow, and the drama was lacking too, so there just wasn't really much meat to it. The ending implied that a lot more was going on, though, so hopefully it will get better? If not, that's a real shame, because the characters are really charming and I would love to see more done with them. If anything, I know I'll pick up the next one if only for more Alice .

    What are you playing?

I just finished reading Koiken Otome , and here is a mini-review Story-7/10-I actually liked the common route and Someya Yuzu route , even if it was pretty generic. Art-6/10- it was descent OST-4/10-i kind of disliked a little of the ost of this vn. so this visual novel is a 5.6/10 Thank you for reading this.

    What are you playing?

I did it. I finally did it. I haven't feel so free since I drop out of college. I had this heavy, smelly, disgusring turd on my shoulders since 18.03. Almost 5 full months. But I did it. Today I finished the most unfunny comedy with the most terribly written story and most boring introduction ever. I finished reading Grisaia no Kajitsu. It wasn't entirely terrible. I gave it full 5/10. Here is my spreadsheet if anybody's interested. Major issue? Mr Fujisaki Ryuuta. Maybne he has a good 'prose', and really had a few nice ideas (whole Amane backstory for example). But he definitely don't know how to write. He's focusing on completly nonimportant parts of scenes/situations, and what is really good, he simply shortens to few 'microretrospect' sentences ("So in the end it was just this and then that and that was all."), but I wasted enough of my time to ranting about his style of writting in my past posts in this thread. Also - comedy doesn't clicked with me at all. Only one funny character was Makina, but even her get bored after 30+ hours of same pseudo jokes over and over again. Time to take care of another turd I left in limbo - second unique route of Killer Queen.

    Poll: Which Random VN?

Now... I've been asked to play/replay several VNs and post on each by several people who read but don't post here, as well as several members. These will have to come after I finish Damekoi and after the VN of the Month (currently playing Floral Flowlove), but there is a distinct possibility I'll manage to play at least one more VN through before the release of Deus Ex later this month. I've also had requests to play and comment on more JRPGs, but I'll be honest when I say there aren't a ton of jrpgs coming up that I'm actually that interested in. I do plan to play FFXV, because a friend of mine asked me to go in for half of it (neither of us trusts SE enough to pay full price for one of their games), but I can't really say I'm looking forward to it. The VNs I've been asked to replay include: Hatsuyuki Sakura- To repeat one of my usual phrases, I'm going to be blunt with yall... this game is the last truly awesome game I played by Saga Planets (Hanasaki was good but not great). I am tempted to replay it now that I've had some people bug me to replay it... but I'll also be honest when I say that I remember the story a bit too well to really enjoy it the same way on a second playthrough. Bradyon Veda- Mmm... I really don't know why they want me to replay and post on this one, since I'm pretty sure I already blog posted on it once. It is a kamige, so I don't have any objections to replaying it that I can think of off the top of my head, but I am also uncertain of whether I really want to go out of my way to replay it just yet. Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai- The console version of this is coming out soon, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised someone wanted me to replay this... and I actually don't have that much of an objection to doing so, as my bad mood the first time I played it ruined the experience for me. Muramasa- Due to the recent release of a freeware side-story for this VN, I got twelve requests for me to replay and post on this VN. Considering that this is one of my favorites, I again have no objection to replaying it. Mirai Nostalgia- This is the game that pushed Purple Software from a mediocre to a truly great VN-maker. I still remember being stunned at the massive gap in quality between this and their previous games, and it is the reason why I played Hapymaher immediately upon its release rather than waiting until after I played something else. The Baldr Sky series- Since the possibility of this series coming over here got raised again, I've had forty-seven requests to go back and play this series again (almost all of them when I dropped into IRC for a few minutes on a whim). I honestly think it is a bit too soon for me to go back and replay this, though I might consider it after I've played Baldr Heart, which comes out next month (but I'm not really sure about).
