Writing is Hard (Sometimes)
Aizen-Sama and 2 others reacted to Valmore for a blog entry
So this year I've taken to writing some independent OELVN pieces, two freebies that have both gone on some sort of hiatus and one paid one that I'm nearing completion of. One of the freebies the project lead kind of had her own vision for what I was writing (and I was too verbose). The other the lead liked what I wrote and even had a demo made of it. You can view it on YouTube. I did the writing, and yes, it's based on the anime "Free!" No money changed hands, in case you were wondering, and my work was, also, free. But I haven't heard back from her or about the project since late spring. Not sure if it's just on hiatus or she got other writers to do the character routes. That brings me to the paid project I'm close to finishing - "Stay! Stay! People's Democratic Republic of Korea" is, as you would suspect, in part a parody of Overdrive's "Go! Go! Nippon!" The project leader has been really supportive, and has mostly liked what I've given him. (There was one part where he toned down some of the tropes a bit. Maybe one day after release I'll be allowed to show the original script.) The intro, all "date" routes and interludes have been written and most edited. I'm down to the group outing and finale. I know where I want to go - it's a matter of actually getting it down. Sometimes it's hard working a full-time job, helping to raise two kids with a wife who also works full-time, and then writing on the side as well. So I'm not getting it done as fast as I'd like. I blame Fate/Grand Order, Drift Girls and Granblue Fantasy as well. CURSE YOU FUN PHONE/TABLET APP GAMES!!! Darr over at DEVGRU_P has been keeping busy lately, adding in some other projects for production, such as Maid Mansion. He's a pretty nice guy and easy to work with. We're already talking future works beyond "Stay! Stay!" as well, so I'm pretty happy. I guess my main hope is that I'm as good a writer as I feel I am and the game/story goes over well. Also, Eunji best Tsundere 2017!!!3 points -

Even this isn't quite 100% cut and dried. Sure, right now, it's obvious: there's no ero version to be censored. But that doesn't mean they can't have censored anything. All censorship requires is that content be suppressed because some might find it objectionable. MoeNovel is deliberately choosing not to bring over adults-only titles for exactly that reason, probably for marketing reasons. If it turns out that this game gets a Japanese release, especially if that Japanese release happens almost at the same time as the US release, and that Japanese version is 18+, it will be fairly reasonable to presume the title was conceived with the dual-release in mind, and that therefore the content was censored from the Western release. I believe others in this thread have already raised that possibility. Hell, it wouldn't be wrong, necessarily, to claim that this game was censored even if that doesn't happen. Pulltop makes eroge. It seems like a pretty reasonable assumption that a game like this probably would have had ero-scenes if it were intended for the Japanese market. Pulltop chose not to even write the ero-scenes in the first place, where otherwise they probably would have, to avoid controversy from objectionable content. In the courts, they call this a chilling effect. It would be extremist, but usually even extremist positions make sense and are defensible from a certain point of view.1 point -
i wanted to get my mental health under control enough to become a father, 4 years i achieved that goal. now my goal for the last year has been get my physical and mental health after my strokes to be able to start working again. my shrink has cleared me now for part time low stress work a few weeks ago and i no longer drinking carbonated drinks and no longer eating any sugar except bread , and cut my portion size to reasonable sizes and because of this i have lost about 70 pounds and now cleared work by my GP. so now im looking for part time work. so i feel for me if you put in the work you can achieve what you want.1 point

Yeah, I mean to make the game vita friendly you have to cut a ton of shit anyways with the game having bath scenes here there and everywhere. Oh, and if you like the purple-hair loli sister (as you should) you'll like the fandisk. It has some, uh *cough* *cough* good scenes with her.1 point

After 2 weeks i finished Tenshin Ranman, this work is better than the recent games (Amairo, Sanoba and Senren), slightly better than Noble Works and worse than Dracu-Riot. The common route is surprisingly short comparing with others Yuzusoft titles and don't have much more than our traditional SoL. All the heroines have some appeal, but their personalities seemed to me a bit binary, i think that Ruri>Hime>Aoi>Sana it's a realist rank. The routes start after the beach scene and to me all have the same problem, to stretch too much before confession, it's not that the romance building is extensive,it's that a cheap problem appear in the start of the route (and that problem take longer to resolve that the main tension of the route). The main problem that they face in the routes are much less elaborate than in the recent Yuzusoft titles and the resolution comes literally from the gods. My personal route ranking is: Hime>Ruri>Sana>Aoi. In the end, this is the classical charage that don't have none innovative, but make the basic without shitting in the bed, if you need something carefree that can make you laugh sometimes( or like white haired loli fox) this is a good candidate. Side note: To each type of novel, i use different categories ratings, for example in a charage i will rate enjoyment and humor, but in a chunni action i will rate history concept and action.1 point -
Well........... I mean technically her specifically liking doggy dick isn't too terribly integral to the story It kind of feels like one of those things where someone on the development team had a particular fetish or something. Some of the later scenes are... even more out there, plus in the fandisk you get more doggo fun with even more characters.1 point

As far as I remember it was just a few lines about her playing with the puppies, and then being upset that whatshisface was bothering her during play time. When I played that scene I happened to remember seeing bestiality CGs on EH with her along with tags on her profile, so I figured I'd go through the original and see what that scene was like, and well... yeah. The most awkward part is the fact that the grown ass man just walks in on her naked with puppies licking her crotch and his only reaction is "Again??" As far as it coming up again throughout the story, I wouldn't know since I haven't played much of it. I'd just assume they go with the same narrative, that she has an innocent child-like love for dogs.1 point

I dunno, I tend to rate KS more on the heavy side than light side. It has it's moments, but it gets pretty heavy pretty often.1 point

Man, that title really looks like a nukige. I guess this time the prime target are 16 year old horny french boys instead. Yes, but those had - what was the word again - ah yeah, a 'story'.1 point -

Oh, but I am! Admittedly, censored isn't quite the right word. This game just gives off all sorts of pandering vibes to me that make me uncomfortable with the people declaring "at least it's better than IMHHW"! I'll wait before passing any more judgement on this game, though I probably won't be picking it up due to the heroines alone-honestly, who designed those characters?1 point -

Gotta agree with Tiag and Decay, the text in the screenshots looks acceptable, and there are even hints that they actually know what they're doing. It's kind of a shame the game itself looks like drivel. FYI, calling this "censored" when it hasn't been subjected to any form of official censorship and is, so far as we know, the only version of the game to exist, makes you sound like a crazy person.1 point -

So I finally got around to watching Da Capo. It was pretty average. The best thing about it was its comedy which I found quite amusing but as the story progressed it got more melodramatic and most of it fell flat and was rather meh. Watchable as a filler but not much else. Onto White Album 2 next.1 point -

Pretty much, lol. The amount of "plot" so far has been pretty high. (Not that I'm complaining ) Glad I chose to play the JP version... The translation is one thing, but they must have cut/ altered a lot of this for the steam version. Especially scenes involving certain characters... lol. Totally unrelated but... these people should not be allowed to own swords, rofl. Honestly, such a skilled bunch.1 point
