@Zalor @maefdomn @Palas @atorq @Polycentric Thanks everyone for your help! I changed some things: I moved the text to the left side, changed the font and fixed the Menu buttons. I also added a blinking Click to Continue symbol, some minor details and erased the gray stripes on some areas as Maefdomn said (that was a pretty good idea). So now the the UI should be a lot cleaner. Here you have the results. Thanks!

I have the same issues with grinding, I don't like it at all. Have you tried Valkyria Chronicles on Steam? In my opinion, it's the most forward thinking JRPG of recent times. I read everything up to and including Aqua route. Frankly I hate the writing in this game, I have a lot of issues with it, and my opinion of Daigo matches yours. Here's everything I can think of (spoilers, of course)

We have a release date for the Itch.io build of A Foretold Affair! January 30th, 2017~ The Steam version will likely be released in February, if all the paperwork comes through in time.

That conversation revealed a lot about some of us; Yeah Way is a huge white knight, Voko is a giant coward and I am a total edgelord.

Here's a few don't expect me to discuss the plot/characters or anything but I'll try and give you an idea about why you might like one of these. I'm in the same camp though grinding I used to enjoy when I was younger but as I'm older I just don't have time for that as much anymore. Hopefully you can find something to try and enjoy. PC Recommendations: Grandia II: Long held by jrpg fans to have one of the best combat systems for the genre of game, the HD Remaster is great PC version of the game. It comes with both english and japanese dialogue and multiple difficulty modes. The game itself while the story is a bit cliche is rather entertaining and enjoyable nonetheless. One point for it (or against for some) is that the game can be completed in about 40 hours which is rather short for most jrpgs. While it is not a perfect game it is one of the better jrpgs on Steam. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD: You may be wondering why I have this Final Fantasy game on here and not a different game. The simple answer is that the PC HD Remaster has additional features that can make grinding a lot easier. The game comes with 5 pottential boosters which do the following (hit escape to see the menu); speed mode (toggles between normal, 2x speed, and 4x speed...no skipping cutscenes and doesn't affect menus though), supercharge mode (not sure what this does but I imagine it will make people hit like a truck, Encounter Mode (increase or decrease enemy encounter rate), Auto-Battle Mode (use this along with the speed mode and grinding is easy as hell and speeds up the process), Hud mode (toggles the hud on or off so you can take screenshots). You don't have to use any of them but the speed and auto-battle mode makes grinding less tedious if you decide to do it. The story is pretty good for the most part and the characters have character and can be interesting but it is a bit boring at the beginning but gets better as it goes on...a bunch of side quests, minigames, etc... that you can do if you want (it's optional), and it's the first final fantasy game to release with dialogue (at least back when it released). Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky: This is is a great jrpg it has some quirky personalities but it has character and plot and has pretty solid gameplay while also giving you a very interesting look at the world that the game takes place in. I can't really do any game justice with just talking about it but this is one of my favorite jrpgs to come out recently. The game does leave off a bit ambiguous but the sequel has been translated and released as well. Valkyria Chronicles: What Rooke said Tales of Symphonia: Not the best port but there is a mod to make it more manageable on PC. I was a fan of the Tales series growing up and even like it to this day even if I dislike some practices of the current PC crowd. It deals with pretty mature content and while friends and all that is a thing (it's a jrpg) it's not nearly as emphasized as something like Graces F. It has an interesting world and interesting characters with a decent story. But again unless you use the mod might be better off skippig Positive points: You can pick up Valkyria Chronicles, Grandia II, and Legend of Heroes on a sale for usually less than 10 dollars and X/X-2 during a squenix sale for less than 20. Console/ Recommendations for you: Suikoden II, Chrono Trigger, Skies of Arcadia, Nier, Xenogears/Xenosaga, Shadow Hearts Covenant (or play Shadow Hearts then SH Covenant), Valkyrie Profile, and Parasite Eve)

Everything is beautiful (I really like the background and character). Regarding just the UI though, I like how it keeps the standard text box design, but adds a lot too it. I don't have any critiques for it. Font was okay, but I would agree that is probably the weakest thing out of everything. Changing the font to something might be better. But aside from that, the UI in general is fantastic.

Looks quite good but the font is terrible. While it looks alright and fits the aesthetic the misplaced letters makes it really hard on the eyes, reading through a long text with that font would not be fun.

This looks great, good work! I think that the character size and the sprite size look nice. The UI really has a techie/futuristic feel to it especially with the hex background (or whatever it's called) behind the text. The only things that bother me are that usually I don't see the text placed centered but left aligned like you would find in a text document. The font itself is easy to read and goes well with the overall theme. Also, the words on the settings bar "Auto", "Skip", and "Save" are perfectly centered while the words "Back", "History", and "Prefs" are a bit to the left. "Q. Save" and "Q. Load" are also slightly to the left. I would just center all of them as I think the looks best. Or another option would be to center all of them except for "Back" and "Prefs" since they're on the edges in trapezoids and aren't in nice little rectangles like the others. Other than that, I think everything else looks amazing. Best of luck on your project!

FINALLY. I have absolutely no idea how this is going to play out (I mean, I do, but that wouldn't be fun..). However, as seen by Nekopara's tendency to subvert a little (the sexy gyaru character turned out to be an imouto ffs), I feel like Cinnamon will turn out to be hard S or something. Despite being my favorite design, Maple so far has been really boring. She's sassy, but not as sassy as Vanilla or Azuki. I hope she'll turn out to be interesting in some way (worked for Coconut). Based on that screenshot, it seems as if Cinnamon and Maple have something going on between each other (although, I personally predict that the two pics of them as kittens are a red herring; I believe these CGs will be flashbacks from the protagonist's POV). What I'm asking myself, who getting the short stick this time? So far, Nekopara has stuck to one H-scene for each character and a group scene with two of them (Vol1: Chocola -> Vanilla -> Both, Vol2: Chocola+Vanilla -> Coconut -> Azuki). So if we stick to this format, are we getting a group scene with the four previous catpanions, followed by one Maple scene and one Cinnamon scene? Or will we get three scenes with two cats each? Or simply drop Chocola and Vanilla for this one, because they had the most scenes until now? What about Shigure, how will she fit into the picture, if at all? And if all of them are in bed together, WHO'S DRIVING THE BAKERY?!?!

All I know about Himawari were desings of main characters, and that it's 'character driven story, set in not distant future'. And that first chapter is moeblobbing, while next ones are much more serious. So far - it's exactly what I thought it would be. Except that I don't like basically nobody except Ginga, whom I only 'tolerate'. [Aqua in her 'route' is much more unlikeable (her attitude towards Youichi, while explainable, is still far from nice, so I just don't like her) than in 2048.] Who cares about law? (And I do believe that law aboard space stations are clearly defined.) It's just...wrong. Creepy. From moral standpoint. Yeha, because shoting a guy is a normal thing to do and everybody 'can' do that. I agree that Daigo needed her. I don't see why she really 'needed' him, but there would be no progress in her character if not for him, to that I agree. Yup, I do know. And I stay by my words. "Stockholm syndrome is a psychological condition that causes hostages to develop sympathetic sentiments towards their captors, often sharing their opinions and acquiring romantic feelings for them as a survival strategy during captivity." This guy was a completly new thing in her life. She, as a decent human being, out of compassion and fear, helped him and tend to his wounds. Then he started to live in her quarters. She was constantly angry at him, constantly tired and was (in her thoughts, so it was genuine) yearning for some calmness. Of course she spended time with him and wanted this time to be as enjoyable as possible - as any sane person in her situation would do. If she went to Akira (of whom she was scared), she would be in problem as well, because she was sheltering him. She was confused and didn't know what to do, to the point in which she completly enclosed herself from even her 'sisters'. Probably most of the 14 yo girls, living in bubble of spacestation, with very little human interactions would be very confused, or even scared if 40+ yo loud and creepy guy imposed himself on her room and her life. And she couldn't even escape, because she had nowhere to go - it was her room, her one and only private place. Well, good for you then. I believe your feelings were in writter intentions. I feel like I spend too much time discussing this before I even finished this title. I will come back to you after I finish this whole VN. Hopefully tomorrow. Just hope this ending is as good as you're saying. But I have in mind fact, that I found true route in ever17 very lacking and pretty mediocre (best route was Yous' route), so I have reservations when people writting that 'XYZ is greatly tying everything together in the last chapter'. So, yeah. Let's get back to grinding.

Well, not to say that I gave some molestation events in my history, because it was nothing as strong as that, but I do remeber having an uncle, who was a hard worker and always 'traditionaly' tend to kiss, as a greeting, everybody in family. Including me, young kid, my brothers, and basicaly - everybody. You know, somebody with big, rough hands, strong handgrip, moist lips, reek of booze and cigarettes, etc. Somebody like this (one of the first images in google images, don't know this guy, I apologize if you're him, and you see this. ) Diago is 43 years old. And reek of booze. Guy on this picture is 45. Very close. Now a random, attractive 14 year old girl. Flatchested, young, undeveloped. Now picture them like this CG. Creepy as fuck, ain't it? Add to this his creepy, perverted attitude, and here you go - Amamiya Daigo, the Hero. To add insult to the injury, their relationship was basically That was sickening. I have absolutely no possitive thoughts about his character. So scene in spaceshuttle was...yeah, I was glad. Anybody can tell me how it ended in original, h-filled, version of the game? Also - his relationships with other women were horrible as well.

Daigo is a irresponsible manchild ruining everyone's lives. It is known.

I'm in second 'episode', 2048. Why there is no logic in this world? How can I care for characters and situations, when whole setting is falling apart? I admit - Aqua chapter is far, far better than moechapter. Aqua is really... human character, I like her inner monologues very much. BUT. Slight spoilers: And that's only from top of my brain, I forgot few things. Things with * might yet to be explained. I'm hope they will be. Still - it should be one hell of an explanation. And about that last complaint - I just hope that I'm supposed to dislike him. That it's intentional from GO. If not... oh well.
