Which is the choice in a VN that stuck with you the most? For me it's the "superhero" choice from Fate/Stay Night, because i felt like the first two routes built up that choice pretty well.

Clickbait for sure, but I'm actually asking for recommendations, not recommending one. You get to recommend precisely ONE VN and ONE only, translated or untranslated, and explain why - any genre, any style. If it's an untranslated one, and I haven't read it, I may even consider it for my next translation project. To clarify, I'm not just after a recommendation for myself (that's just an aside), I'd rather know what people consider their one must read VN and why; it should be a masterpiece that makes you breathless beyond words and I want to know why. Well, I don't deny the beauty of his later music because he as an artist had multiple phases and he certainly improved his singing style later in life, and he certainly released some very intense emotional tracks as the years went by, however I personally tend to prefer his earlier works because to me they're a good balance of Sinatra's iconic phrasing, mixed with his early high vocal range which he unfortunately had already started to lose by the mid 50's, but if I had to pick a particular period of his later career in which I believe he was at his absolute best, it would definitely be in his album "No One Cares'', which is by far his darkest album. It's honestly pretty hard to find recordings from that album online, but here's one:

Comrade! I played Clannad when it first came out, bug just got bogged down by all the routes I just didn't care about, and took a break before doing After story. A 3 year break, actually. Plus a few months. Some stories are written where there aren't routes - loop games, for example, or non-branching games like Sora-iro no Organ. And, of course, barely branching games like G-sen or Eustia where the 'routes' are more of omake what-if scenarios than real routes. And then there are the occasion game where it writers actually consider ALL the routes simultaneously. Have you ever noticed that in many games, the MC is the only person that can save the heroines from suffering and death (or worse)? And yet, in each route, only one gets 'saved'... whatever happens to the others? Some games actually consider this, and take the 'true' route as an opportunity to deal with everything in one story. Usually this is a harem route, but again - sometimes it works. It just needs to be a story where the romance is an extra to the main story, rather than one where the romance IS the story and all events happen merely to promote the romance. TL;DR: A bad attempt at those ending is bad, but a good one is good. May sound fatuous, but it's true. There is nothing inherently wrong with a non-romantic true ending.

For me it would be a sixth choice saying "Okay, but how much does it cost?"

I already said my opinion, but I wanted to add that even if it's not a VN, I love the choices of Devil Survivor 2 that makes the MC look seriously retarded.

Update 09/01/2018 Happy New Year everyone! I hope the year 2018 will be good for all of you For ‘Up until the end’, I decided something: I will release a new version of the demo. This polished demo will be more representative of the quality of the full game. It means at least improved sprites and backgrounds, new GUI,more sound effect and little changes in the story. Guys, be careful about spoilers, please. Also, this: Because, really, when it comes to fiction, nothing is 'true'. Even if the ending connects the other routes in some ways, it's still just one of the possible endings.

The most memorable one for me certainly was (Heaven's Feel late spoiler) Other ones that I liked, more because they are ridiculous are: - In Fate Route, fighting Gilgamesh. Give up/ Don't give up. Ofc in a chuuni to give up is a valid choice. In this Tiger Dojo, Taiga even punches Shirou very hard. - DDLC, - Omerta: In a character's route, MC is in the love interest's house taking a bath. There's a choice to choose what body soap you should use: the most expensive one, the most cheaper one, none. If you don't pick the expensive one, you get a bad ending where MC strangle his love interest. Yep.

That is true. What I usually do is before I even get started, I make of list and plan of what I am going to do in the short and long term of the game so I can keep on track and not get screwed over. But sometimes even with that, I still make mistakes and lose the game even though I have 282 hours of play time and there are still somethings I have a hard time doing. IMO, saving often is usually important so if sometime goes wrong, you can have something to fall back on (Unless your playing Ironman mode, you can't use previous saves in that.) Down below I have included a link which is an excellent resource and I recommend anyone who plays HOI IV to look at it.

Just watched the first episode of Citrus tonight and that was dope! That shit was dope Tito!! I thought the animation was good and so far it's sticking close to the manga. I also think both lead girls voices were well chosen for their characters.

If you like Konosora, then might as well recommend Miagete here because compared to Konosora, the translation was already improved or so that's what I'd heard. For other VNs, then perhaps you could try HatsuKoi and Koichoco. Hope the recommendations here would be help.

Clannad as mentioned before as well as The Devil in G-String come to mind. You could also continue the Grisaia Series.

I got in touch with them and did that yesterday. (EDIT: To clearify, I did not start a new project, but looked at the translation yesterday. I'm now on the project as a TLC. )

Well I would first say check out Sharin No Kuni since it is very similar to Grisaia No Kajitsu I would also check out Clannad and Little Busters since they have a ton of slice of life

There's Clannad that fits for everything, exccept of the graphical side ( I mean, it's not bad if u get used to it, but the way the characters are drawn is rather... different). It's pretty much the definition of slice of life romance set in school, and is one of the longest VNs out there, has no 18+ content, though (which shouldn't be a problem, since you didn't specify that) You could also try Maji de watashi ni koishinasai. It doesn't have that much of a deep story or anything, and is more a comedy than anything else, but it also fits your requirements. You're going to have alot of fun if you try this one.

Nah, I know I can come across as less-than-serious sometimes, but it's just due to my naturally awkward formal writing style I suppose. It's not intentional, really. There's a place for humour, and I try to incorporate a comedic flair into posts when it's appropriate, but on serious matters like this I holster the meme pistols. Thanks though, I'll probably have a crack at a blog of my own soon.

Natsuyume Nagisa. Nijima Yuu's magnum opus in my opinion. The way he throws hints about the big mystery surrounding the whole game, the twist as cruel as gratifying, and the suffering; but above all, the final message of the game, that there's hope.

Eden is the best VN I've ever read. It had a slow build up, but once it finally got going, omg! Had a few epic fight scenes at times.. Also had the most extreme mood shift I've ever seen in any work of fiction ever. From to, just 2 hours later... Some of the BGM was downright amazing too (or outright funny).

I'm a big fan of the fourth choice, really helps represent VN fans of all backgrounds.
