This comes out of a warning I received for spamming in a thread that was technically not in chatter but was nothing as chatter (the dumb mare loli thread that got featured). My spam in question was a single post I made with a reaction image. It was my first post in weeks as well, hardly something needing that silly warning garbage, Clephas. This made me realize that there are two problems here. Severely uneven enforcement of rules by moderators (which has honestly been a chronic problem for Fuwanovel through its entire history), and secondly, I don't even know who the staff of the website even are anymore. I was never aware that Clephas had the ability to issue warnings like that, nor was I aware board mods had any power to give warnings. I was under the impression that they could delete/hide posts and what not but not cut off posting of a member completely for a time. That in of itself is not the issue. The issue is more that there is that the Fuwa Directory is completely out of date. I have no damn idea who does what, and who has what powers. To solve both problems, there needs to be a retooling of the entire staff of Fuwanovel. Take a look at the directory and point out all of those who are not active, or no longer even run the project they are listed in. https://fuwanovel.net/about/our-team-fuwadirectory/ With this retooling of the staff (aka clean out the dead weight like myself), strong leadership absolutely needs to come down from the top and make abundantly clear what the rules of the forum are. The uneven application of rules needs to stop and more active leadership with clear lines of communication need to be implemented. This will give the mods much clearer direction of what is and isn't okay on this website. And no, this isn't a batman bitches about a handslap post. This is a response to a recurring problem with the leadership of fuwanovel today as I've seen this inconsistent rule enforcement multiple times with certain mods recently, and it follows a pattern that goes back to the days of Steve being an admin here. Those were bad days.

Thank you for supporting me! When I started to write FreeMote, I had taken various use cases into consideration, including texture editing feature for fan artists to make more "cute" cats. I'm glad finally there is someone making such patches! Then I thought this FreeMoteViewer improvement should be useful to you so I decided to make it in this update. There are some long-term goals for FreeMote (including easing the pain of L2D <-> Emote conversion), one of them - FreeMote Editor (not ready for use now) - is designed to edit textures and view the edited model (with motions) on the fly. I can't promise anything about that since I'm really busy on my daily work, but I hope I can make a demo version in a few months. Although I'm not going to play Maitetsu before the Japanese/Chinese ver. comming out, I definitely appreciate your work and looking forward to your next works! I just played Nekopara 1 for the first time two days ago. I'm horrified. It's like the ultimate objectification of women. They're intellectually inferior, children, dependents, sex objects, they don't have goals or ambitions that conflict with your own, their job is to smile and be cute, they are suited to be your lover, play partner, free labor, whatever you want to buy them for, they're just playthings that have no agency whatsoever and they're custom designed to love, lust for, and worship you. They're the realization of the image that oppressed women across the world are forced into reflecting. They're disposable daughter wife sex slaves, and the entire world around them just treats it as normal. It makes me so sick. Also, I came buckets and my heart grew three sizes that day. I can't wait to play the sequels.

Believe me, it gets way more engaging down the line. I also had to force myself though at first, but then, a few hours in, I became really engaged. Now it's one of my top 5 VNs. Most people do, btw. I personally try to at least check if there is something like a recommended route order for a VN I want to read. A lot of VNs don't enforce the order of the routes, even if one route basically spoils another one. I just recently found myself in a similar situation where I was reading Hapymaher and accidentally chose an option leading to the true end on my second playthrough, and I ended up spoiling an important plot point. Oh, and I'm not very active on this forum recently, so I'm almost always late to reply, but I just want to say that your playthroughs are rather interesting to follow.

Alright I'm saying this poll is finished because we actually have something that's significantly ahead and I don't want to wait too long and that to change! The House in Fate Morgana is the winner! Going to start it tonight! I hope this pleases @Funyarinpa - this game only got on my radar because they talked it up in the previous poll thread. I suppose I'll use this thread to spoiler thoughts on playing the game for anyone that's interested in sharing my first run experience just as I did for Ever17 - instead of creating yet another thread and more spam.

08/20 - Nagi's new hscene released! Just extract patch3.xp3 from the 7.z directly in the game folder, overwrite the old patch3.xp3 ( if it exists ). Patch3.xp3 is a separate patch until it's completed. You still need the Full Main three heroines + Reina + Fukami patch (Hachi, Hibiki, Paulette, Reina and Fukami, named patch2.xp3) + the restoration patch ( bandaids removal or heliosaurus restoration, named patch.xp3 ) Maitetsu 18+ Demosaic Patch - Nagi v0.1.7z

Never played any actually scary VN's yet. Played a few that have been mildly disturbing or suspenseful though. * Grisaia no Kajitsu certainly has it's moments. It goes from extreme laugh out loud comedy in the common route, to various kinds of psychological traumas in the character routes. It's still the darkest VN I've read (even though it also gave me the greatest laughs). In particular, you'll like Amane's flashback... * ef - a fairy tale of the two . Has a lot of relationship drama. Then the Latter Tale part of it starts to progressively hit you in the gut. The only other VN I've read that had some darker themes. Of course, if you want something that is really disturbing, Subarashiki is apparently exactly that (I havn't read it yet, but I plan to). You could like The House in Fata Morgana too (apparently has a real mystery vibe to it).

I'd say the creepiest and scariest VNs I've read have been Myth, Saya no Uta, and Soundless for sure. Even VNs like Chaos;Child and Subahibi have spine-tingling scenes, but I wouldn't consider them incredibly scary.

I'm not too much into horror... it's a genre I usually find pretty boring. However, I found Higurashi no naku koro ni not only pretty disturbing, but also very interesting. It kept me on the edge of my seat. If you haven't already, you might want to give it a try. It's a classic.

Japanese stuff: Saya no Uta, Phenomeno, euphoria (warning - this one have all kinds of super-drastic sexual content). OELVNs: Lynne, Sweetest Monster It's hard to find a genuinely scary VN, because that doesn't flow with the formula, but all these are definitely unsettling.

Any OELVN. Especially those with japanese names in title and honorifics in text. Scary as hell. Or you can try Corpse Party games. Though some of them have simple gameplay mechanics, and Book of shadows is VN.

I don't make a huge distinction between 3d art and 2d art, beyond making the obvious observation that most 3d art sucks. 2d art versus real porn aka 3d world live action porn - I'd say 2d porn is much more accessible and efficient. I can google what I want and have it and be done and it won't take all night. 3d porn, while potentially reaching greater heights of awesome than 2d porn ever could, requires 10x the time and effort to search through to find the good parts. The longer my life, the more live action porn I've fapped to, the more specific and demanding my tastes become, and the more effort and open tabs and hours out of the night it takes before I'm satisfied. Not efficient. But I can search some hentai and be done in 10 minutes. After all, anime girls can do things real girls can't...at least not without searching REAL HARD on the internet to find rare instances when they do ^_^. 2d/internet porn in general vs real life relationships - yet another balancing equation of maximum result versus efficiency. Real life sex, the "best of the best everything you've ever wanted with someone you love and think is hot" kind is exponentially better than any porn experience. However, the effort and time investment is also exponentially greater, and you have to deal with the excruciating fallout of what happens after the honeymoon period is over and sex/love starts dying off, or you breakup and/or get heartbroken for any other reason. In contrast, I read a VN, fall in love over a couple dozen hours, then get bored with that heroine and move on without being an evil person. In real life when I get bored of someone in 2 years (as I always do) it's tragic and makes me the bad guy. I'd say my perfect plan is to have several real life relationships so I can have experiences that allow me to deeply connect with the romantic themes of VNs then just enjoy VNs forever. Yush. This is what I'm doing.

If only DC wasn't so tragically annoying to navigate...yeah I think DC series is the only time I "skipped" through, ever. That and if I ... finish too quickly with a hentai scene, then I got skip through and get out of there before i get horrified at 30 minutes of terrible pointless dialogue. (Looking at you If My Heart Had Wings) I seriously gotta give you a squint for not finishing CLANNAD and doing the Afterstory completely. I went into that shit blind, as my very first long VN, and it rocked my world. Right after I was double rocked by Tomoyo After - a fantastic entry into VN land for me! If we're also listing "VN Regrets" I have two more that are bugging me. G-Senjou Even Worse, MLA Also, I started up The House in Fate Morgana tonight, but I'm like whoa not sure at all what to make of it yet. Waaaaay different than anything else I've played. Will probably have to force myself a little to get used to something new, as I usually have to.

You're not obligated to finish if you don't want to) And challenge accepted: 1. I never got to Clannad: After Story. I followed walkthrough and finished 8 or 9 routes with 2 or 3 left in the first part of the game. And the last one i finished was Ichinose Kotomi - my favorite girl here and one of the most favorite ever. And after her route (that was really emotional and very touching for me) the next one in order was Fuka's route... And i just managed to read only a bit, then stopped... Because just didn't feel it in me to continue after Kotomi's route which i liked very much and which was, as i've already mentioned, very emotional. So didn't touch the game again since then. 2. I didn't 100% finish DC Plus Communication - didn't read Kudo and Nanako's routes. I just wanted to read only 3 girls' routes in that version - Misaki, Tamaki and Alice (with latter turned out to be my fav girl). Then, after fav one, didn't feel to continue... 3. In DC2 i "very fluently skipped" through Otome, Yume and Nanaka's routes, cuz didn't care about them in the slightest. Only top 3 counted. Anzu twice. Well, it was some years ago and since then i didn't do something like that as to not 100% finish the VN. But, on the other hand, i didn't choose to read VNs when there were heroines which i don't so care about or anything... There was one in G-Senjou no Maou, but still - it all was so built-in into story, that i didn't want to skip. Even the thought of that didn't cross my mind. Don't think i'll ever do that again.

For me Sakura was the best girl, but only when you're not having relationships with her. I mean - it was very interesting to read her story, both in DC1 and DC2, and she's great as that type of character. But for romance i like others more - "big three" i mentioned in DC2 and Alice, Mako and Moe in DC1.

Yep. It's insane to realize that Key started from that. Well, it would probably be dark enough for me, but, honestly, it just doesn't seem to be written well enough for the story of this kind.

It is a much much bigger improvement. IT should be an 2.0 release. Just because you can view motions (timelines) and shortens my time testing ingame! In the old version I had to for almost each editing go into the game just to see if it is fixed because an emote scene has more stages and in the old version you can only see ONE stage. @Ulysses Thank you very much for this great tool and this newest edition and helping me in making the patches.
