  2. Thanks to today's technology I am watching this post 24/7. And reply as fast I can. The mod itself gained much popularity how much it can, since is it an *underground* project. And I am thankful for it. Even If am a noob artist the community accepted it. So there be surely more projects coming. But I want to be sure that the next demosaic project makes "sense" so it has a good platform ( * there is an english translation * ) , and with my drawing style, the demosaic isn't too much off from the authors original style.

  3. Well... I know it doesnt make sense to make the mods. You could say the same to an author who makes new skins for weapons in a normal video game. Why does he do it then? Fun? Either way its a selfish thing, like the demosaic patch was. If no one ever made mods for VN why not try it.... As for trouble dont know if it would be a bigger trouble then the demosaic patch itself, isnt it more the same heat? Its not that the mods are going to make a kid friendly game into an adult one ( which it already was in the first place, well if you use the 18+ which is needed to for this patch to work ). Thats why i am trying to link to official sites and shops as much as possible. But we will see it... If you are worried that i am too much focusing on this game were I should already move to other games. Dont worry i am looking for another game. Its just i still need to improve a little more and polish this game. Its not that i am going to make all of these mods. Thats why i did a poll. But we will see.

  4. I doubt it will happen, the original Maitetsu that has been sold by Fakku is a big disappointment because they censored a lot of the game content (which on the Japan version was allowed) and many of Fakku's costumers refunded the game because of that. Heliosaurus 18+restoration patch is the reason for many people to keep the game they bought and with addition of the demosaic patch and many more of fan made mods may lead to the increasing of the game purchases. I didn't see the reason why the devs and publishers would think that the fan made mods (which is optional whether you want to use it or not) would be a problem while it may increasing their product sales.

  5. Bunny Black Bunny Black is the first of a trilogy developed by SofthouseChara, known for their unique simulation games. Every game they release is a simulator of anything from managing a Hot Spring resort to surviving on a deserted island. Unfortunately, this is their first game to be translated into English. The English patch for this game was created by the hard working people at Seiha Translations. Big thanks to them for their hard work. They also plan to translate Bunny Black 2 and 3! As it is a fan translation, there are some mistakes here and there, but nothing major. I don't have any right to complain Bunny Black (at least the first one) is more or less a simulation of being a minion to a demon. There is a hierarchy to work your way up, and the game is pretty addicting if not a bit grindy. The gameplay is traditional dungeon crawling, akin to King's Field. This game is difficult at first, and some people may rage quit pretty early on due to it. After you gain some resources and get the hang of things, this game becomes a breeze (mostly.) If you follow the starting tips in this help topic, even if only as a guideline, then you should be well on your way to... raping women. A lot. The rape in this game is very light. No mind break or guro(gory sex). If you have played Rance, it's a bit like that. Although in my opinion it is a little darker, but still not too bad. You can't avoid all of these scenes either, as when you rest to restore health and skill uses there is an H scene. Some are rape, some aren't. You can hold ctrl to skip through these quickly if you desire. This guide is still a work in progress, and I rely heavily on the community to fill in the blanks, so feel free to leave any info or knowledge you think is relevant, or ask questions if what you need to know isn't covered in the guide. Dungeon Maps Here are the links to each dungeon's maps. If your browser supports it, translate the pages to English. In Google Chrome, just right click and select Translate to English. Updates(Check back frequently) Update #1: Compiled a list telling you how many H scenes are available for each female adventurer class. Also working on a skill list, but the tedium means it is updating slowly. Update #2: Skill list mostly complete. Missing some max use info and the English Patch names for some of the skills. I color coded the skill names to match their category color ingame. This will hopefully make the list easier to navigate. Update #3: Reformatted the guide. Update #4: Skill list almost done. Just need the Seiha translation names for some skills, and the max uses for Poison Shot. Starting tips -Don't gear yourself out in the beginning. Instead, focus on buying demons. Make sure to get a Heal Goo at first, and some type of tank (I recommend Werebear) Save up to get a Fairy quickly, as not only does it give you some magical prowess, but it is a competent healer. It also allows you to see yourself on the minimap. -Make sure to do cleaning jobs and avoid battles until you have at least one Fairy, one Heal Goo (or another Fairy if you prefer), and two tanks (again, I recommend Werebears) -When choosing a weapon, keep in mind that Spears, Daggers, and Shurikens will allow you to take skills from two skill trees. Dagger and Shuriken will allow you to use Edged and Ranged skills, while Spear will allow for Edged and Blunt. It is also worth noting that the ranged skill tree contains the only STR based full AOE skill in the game. -In the Options menu, you should notice an option that controls auto saving. At default, it is set at 2. This means the game saves after every battle (even if you run away.)Don't be afraid to abuse this in order to save yourself some frustration/time. -Do some grinding and you will be able to handle the Tower of Storms pretty easily. Just watch out when doing jobs in the next dungeon. -Don't be afraid to leave a dungeon if you take a job and find it too hard. The job will not be affected, and you can come back to it later without any penalties. -Watch out for cursed equipment. Once equipped, you can't unequip it without paying 1000 gold. They will also do continuous damage to you every turn in battle, so if you do accidentally equip one, remove it immediately. The best way to tell if equipment is cursed is to read the item description. If it sounds negative, it is probably cursed. -You can use the arrow keys to move, or change the Key Configuration in the Options menu for a setup of your choice. I didn't notice this right away (oops!) -You can assign your skills to something of a hotbar. In battle, if you go to your skills list and choose a skill, you can click one of the empty slots on your battle menu to shortcut the skill to it. You can only do this with 3 skills, and the top bar is an auto skill bar, meaning if you put your regular attack there, you can just click on an enemy and attack it without having to choose the option on your battle menu. -If your demon dies in battle, you can rehire it at the shop (it will be at the top of the party list in red). The cost of this increases as it levels up, and also increases the more it dies. -In terms of difficulty, from easiest to hardest, we have: Tower of Storms - Cave of Bueroza - Garden Lair - Overgrown Thicket/Frozen Wood - Cavern of Flames - Den of Malevolence - Overlord's Shrine. Cavern of Flames is ranked higher than Thicket and Frozen Wood due to having to have a specific type of demon in your party in order to move freely. Thanks to Suzu Fanatic, it's now a little clearer what the tactics options in battle do exactly. Attack- Focus on offense, but characters that can heal still might do so. All Out- All offense, none of your demons will heal. Survive- Demons will only use physical attacks, they will not heal or use magic of any kind. Standby- All of your demons will simply defend. If you are grinding last hits on female adventurers, this can make things go faster. Conserve- All demons that can heal will mainly focus on healing. All on One- All demons will attack the same enemy. Front Row- Your demons will only attack the back row. Back Row- Your demons will only attack the front row. Skill Point Allocation Since you won't be able to max out all of your skills, here are my recommendations on what skills to get. Must Have: Master of Unlocking- It's not required to max this, but put a few points in it. 80% of my equipment came from magic chests, and paying 1000 to unlock one is too much. If you so choose, you can abuse save states and open all the chests in your room, write down what the traps are, reload, and open them safely with no penalty. The traps are static and don't change, so this method will work. I used it about halfway through the game because some of the trap penalties are a little steep. (4000 gold if it's a bomb? Way overkill.) Combat Medic(and all spells it unlocks)- The AI is... unreliable at best when it comes to healing. For instance, with a team of 9 my healer was using the highest tier all heal spell whenever one character took a single point in damage. It's best to learn these yourself. Warp Magic- Don't max this skill, just raise it until you get Adv Warp Magic, since this lets you teleport anywhere you choose as opposed to randomly. Also put a point into Spatial magic, as this lets you exit the dungeon immediately. Weapon Skill- Whichever weapon skill tree you choose, put points into it early so you can unlock more weapon skills. I chose Edged weapons, and at level 5 you get a skill that hits the whole front row, which stays useful for most of the game. Charismatic- Probably the most important. Get this as early as possible, because once you max it you unlock skills that raise your whole party's stats by 5 (as a passive.) which you should also max. Recommended: At least one type of magic- Choose an element you like, and raise it until you get the Piercing and Wide versions of it. Raise those until you get the Adv magic of that element. These skills will let you hit a column, row, and the whole field respectively. It's good to have as many AOE skills as possible. Weapon/Magic Master- If you are a mage, choose magic obviously. These will strengthen all of your weapon/magic skills. Steadfast/Magic Resistant- If you are making Darx into a tank, max both of these ASAP. If not, then consider only raising these halfway. Chicken Heart- Pretty handy for emergency situations. Most games I don't recommend these types of skills, but here you will probably need it. Popular- You have to sink quite a few points into this, but with some of the higher costs towards the end of the game it is worth it. Good Haggler- As I have stated, I used magic chests for most of my equipment, so I recommend this over VIP treatment. If you choose to sell chests, then get VIP treatment instead. Quick Learner- This one is up to you. I'm about 70% through the game, and with some grinding am already level 99 (max level). I did max this skill pretty early on, but if you don't want to reach max level too early you might consider only raising it halfway, or not at all. Avoid: Vanishing Act- As far as I can tell, this skill does nothing. I used it four times in a row and it didn't do a thing. Appraiser- It only costs 100 to appraise at the shop, and you will be going there to sell loot anyways so there's no reason to take this. You might be able to justify this if you only take the first level early in the game when you are broke, but at that point you will need other skills more than this. Status Effect magic- There virtually 0 application for these. Most battles will end too quickly for these to make a difference. I feel as though the same can be said for stat buffs (I never used them) but not to the degree that I would say to avoid them. Medicine Man- Perhaps it's just me, but I never use healing items. So this skill is pretty useless. You can put some points into it if you use healing items, but otherwise don't bother. Any of the skills that aren't listed each have their uses depending on your build and/or patience. After the first bit when you are gathering resources the game gets much easier, so keep that in mind when figuring out which skills to take as well.

  6. Sakura Nova was actually written by a Japanese writer, this dude (tfw I know the guy who translated it). While it still turned out not very good, the unusually high quality might be due to the writer having some experience.

  7. Indeed. The main differences between NekoNyan and MangaGamer are two: NekoNyan is public about everything they're doing. Up until now, from the moment they announced a title we've always known what they were doing with it and what stage it is at. MangaGamer does have schedules, but we often don't know what they're doing. Once a title disappears from their sporadic project updates on twitter, lord knows what happens to them. Maybe they're stuck in tech work, maybe they're stuck in licensing stuff, we don't know. We might hear stuff from some of their freelancers, but otherwise... But MangaGamer does keep to a schedule and steady releases. It's just that this schedule involves holding onto stuff that's already finished and ready to release just to space out releases, something NekoNyan has avoided doing (mostly due to their relatively small size and how there's been thus far little overlap in the time they finish projects, meaning they haven't finished projects around the same time yet). The other difference is their age. I'm very happy people are positive about NekoNyan, but there is frankly very little to judge them by as of yet. How will they react if suddenly something goes wrong with engine work? Or if the Japanese developers change their mind about something near release? Or if mishaps occur due to performing translation, editing, and QA simultaneously (Fureraba was effectively riddled with typos, even if I loved the overall translation work). They way MangaGamer reacts to this kind of thing tends to be simple: Radio silence, but let's release something else from our backlog instead. They're sitting on top of some finished products and spacing them out in such a way that they can switch their schedule on the fly without having to announce particular delays. Consider ChuuableSoft's games: SukiSuki disappeared from their sporadic updates after TL and Editing was finished, as happens to most of their titles, but then we knew nothing about it for months. In the meantime, ChuuableSoft itself declared bankruptcy (or something similar?)! However, since MangaGamer doesn't announce anything about their projects until about a month before release, it's as if nothing happened. SukiSuki was simply one more of the titles they are piling up on their backlog and biding their time to release.

  9. Gochuumon wa usagi desu ka I found to be quite good, personally I felt like it managed the relaxed and cute atmosphere really well, I actually liked it a whole lot more than the anime, felt like it worked better in regards to things such as comedic timing. It is of course really childish, but if you liked the anime or manga you are probably really going to like the VN. As for the Sakurasou one I found it to be a nice read, they handle the characters quite well and the jokes worked pretty well. The story works well with the series and the characters and I think it is overall pretty good. A problem I have with it though is that you need to do each route 2 times to get everything, they have these short events that last only a few minuts that you need a 2nd playthrough of the route to get, also there is a new game+ thing which forces you to begin from scratch if you want that extra scene. Also there is a gameplay thing where you have to choose who works on what and this will determine which route you get into, so it can be a pain in the ass going through the same thing again. So ye a good VN, but with some stupid decisions regarding gameplay and unlocking events. The To Love Ru VN I found to be quite a disappointment. I really love the manga and the anime of To Love Ru (well the anime after season 1) and so I expected to really like it. Though my problems with it was that in many cases it lended too much from the original series doing pretty much just the same thing, but tamer due to restrictions of being on the Vita. The different routes were quite different in quality in my opinion with some being rather good and some being really bad, I thougth the Yami route was especially bad. While it does lend a lot from the anime and manga it does have some original content as well that at times are nice, so it is not horrible, though I think they could have done a much better job with it. Also there is this odd compression that makes everything look a lot worse than it should have, not sure why. Also the VN bugged out on me right before unlocking the last few CGs and stopped saving (can't save at all on any save file), then I deleted my data skipped through what I had gone through and right as I finished my last route the same problem occured, this is also something that seems to be more widespread since I managed to find some japanese sites where people were asking for help, didn't find an answer though. Plastic Memories and Re;Zero VNs are still on my backlog, so ye can't really say much about them. I am currently reading New Game! The Challenge Stage, feels like it is a bit lacking compared to the anime, since I feel like the animation was quite important for the mood of the scenes in the anime, but I am not really that far into it and I think it will pick up towards the later half. Maybe if people are interested I could do some reviews of some of these.

  14. Just because MangaGamer doesn't announce release estimates right away like Nekonyan does, it doesn't mean they don't have an internal schedule. And just because a game takes a while to go from announcement to release, it doesn't mean that it's fallen behind schedule. You're making a lot of assumptions that you can't back up.

  15. Gotcha! That looks pretty awesome. My vote goes to that option instead of nr 1, 2 or 3. But why not make this a separate mod as well? As long as everything is optional, people could just pick there favorite (the current version or the transparant version).

  16. I haven't played them yet, while I have a big collection I haven't really played that many of them. Regarding the japanese titles I have so far played 5 titles on vita and 1 on PS4 and haven't really started on PC, kind of wanted to use the console ones to get better in japanese before going to the PC ones, but pretty sure I should be able to read Hanasaki Work Springs easily so will probably start reading it in not too long. Gin'iro Haruka will probably take me a while considering the length of it. The collection is a result of a trip I had to Japan (all the physical PC titles), importing lots of VNs based on anime since they are rather easy and a good way to practise japanese + being fun and also just collecting the titles I wanted that were available in english in case they went out of print. So ye I have a very long backlog, slowly getting through them though.

  17. That's a really fantastic collection :D. It's always nice to look at collection pics, and VN collection pics especially since they seem to be relatively rare. I said it before in a thread of yours a few weeks ago but the PE physical copy is the one I'd want most but I think I've missed the boat on that one . If you don't mind sharing, what did you think of ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two and Gin'iro, Haruka? And also, what are the two Favorite titles in the second Japanese PC VN pic? It's also surprising to see how many of those VNs have animes as well...

  18. Actually, for some they already are, if you look at the discussions, especially after MG's "big shift" away from the galge market in recent years. It's probably too soon to say this but I'm also surprised that I feel like they are quickly becoming one of the best contenders on the market. Tight release schedule, actual release windows with which they seem to follow through, good announcements. I wasn't terribly excited about the first batch but Hello Lady and AoKana are as top-tier as it gets, save for something like FSN, KKK or SnU. Plus NekoNyan, despite the excessively silly name, seem like literally the only eroge localization company to plan things through. Hopefully they can keep it up, sell well and deliver.
