  1. Could you elaborate on what "it" is? Since it's not talked about anywhere, how would we know about it?

  2. Lets hope then, that Steam will relax their policies and stops random banning of VNs. And also makes clear guidelines of what is allowed and what not

  3. Sekai is heavily to blame for this though. They should have understood that and aimed to release as fast as possible instead of putting it in the icebox. Hell the title I'm looking forward to the most from them is still in the icebox(Tenshin Ranman).

  4. You should delete this thread though because it will be TOXIC

I have no idea. Have never even used an emulator before. But, for what it's worth, looking up new words when reading a game is a great way to learn, even though it does feel very slow at first. (+ Having a game you really want to play that's only available in JP is a good motivator for studying. ) Wanting to read the If My Heart Had Wings fandisk was actually one of the reasons I started learning Japanese, and Kanako's route was among the first things I ever read in Japanese after having studied for a bit. It certainly helped motivate me!

Heh, yeah, I talk a lot of shit about Moenovel, (which they deserve,) but I do have to give it to them; I really like the title "If My Heart Had Wings." It's very fitting for the game, and is honestly much better than (rough TL of the JP title:) Spread Your Wings In This Vast Sky. (Or, their own literal TL, which hurts my soul a little: "Extend The Little Wings Which Fly In The Sky Highly." Pls no..)

Just finished Akari's route in Kono Oozora - Cruise Sign. I'm so glad they gave her a route, (and that it wasn't just a really short, one hour thing. Took me around five hours to finish the whole thing.) Akari is such a cute character. This was definitely a route that benifited from being all-ages, (despite this originally being an eroge.) The romance between Aoi and Akari was super cute, and she really isn't the type of girl who'd jump in bed with a guy 2 minutes after a confession scene. (Unlike... all other moege heroines. Sluts ) The route seems to follow Kotori's route, but with a "what if Kotori and Aoi just stayed good friends, and he was up for grabs?! " scenario. Enter Akari. The route starts with her coming with Aoi to the club room to watch over the soaring club's club activities. (As she is the student council president.) She and Aoi spend some time alone, and she realizes that she has a bit of a crush on him. She then gets super jealous watching Aoi hang out with his female club members, (which is pretty cute, lol), and she goes to Kanako for advice on what to do next. Insert not a great plan meme w It was overall just a really wholesome and cute route, which is very fitting for Akari. There's a little drama towards the end, (luckily not really involving their relationship, but in general around the soaring club and the stupid teacher trying to stop them, ) + enough adorable moments with Akari to give you diabetes a hundred times over: I... won't lie, I cried a little towards the end. But, I'm a real sofite, especially when it comes to this game. Overall, it was a very solid route, which should have been a part of the original game, tbh. Or, at the very least, a part of the original fandisk. It's a shame that it's only available on a PS3/PSvita port, as that makes the chances of a TL even slimmer. (For those wondering, no, Moenovel are not TLing this route, as they are working with the normal fandisk, Flight Diary, not Cruise Sign.) If you do have a PSvita though, and speak Japanese, I strongly recommend you pick this version up. Not just for Akari's route, but just for what is probably the most complete version of Kono Oozora out there. (It has so many nice, new features, + added content where H is missing, AND totally new content which isn't in the other versions of the game, like this route.) Anyways, here's some of my favorite CGs / moments from the route: (Spoilers, obviously.)

  8. Grisaia no Kajitsu, without a doubt. I had actually read a few visual novels before, like Danganronpa and Phoenix Wright, but I didn't think of them as such at the time because I had no real knowledge about the medium. I actually experienced my first visual novel, which I have now forgotten the name of, sometime in the late 90's, but I didn't even realize it until recently because at the time I just thought of it as some random porn game. Gaming has always meant a lot to me, but over the years as I've grown older and had to take on more responsibilities in life, I've become less and less inclined to waste time (I don't really like that term, but whatever) on gameplay-heavy games. I now prefer games that prioritize the story, and I've even started playing almost everything on Easy difficulty just to be able to experience that story without any hassle. That, in turn, made me take a real interest in visual novels, since they are so focused on that story element I'm seeking. That spark ignited, I started picking up on people mentioning this visual novel called Grisaia no Kajitsu, or The Fruit of Grisaia, time and time again on some of the gaming websites and forums I frequent, and that made me more and more curious. Said and done, in early March 2018, I picked up Grisaia no Kajitsu and was hooked more or less immidiately. It was both fun, exciting and sad, and the story connected with me on a deeper level than anything I had ever experienced in a game or movie before. Despite having read/played those other visual novels I mentioned earlier, I consider Grisaia no Kajitsu to be my first, because it was the first time I looked at something as such, and it opened my eyes to the medium and made me fall in love with it. I've read a ton of visual novels since then and might even consider a few of them better than Grisaia no Kajitsu, but I think it will always hold a special place in my heart for taking my life in this direction.

  11. I'm sure you can find a literal implementation of this idea somewhere in Clock Up VNs.
