  2. Technically one at a time, but I do have the tendency to play one VN for a while, get bored, and switch to a different VN. If that were to count as playing two VNs at a time, then I would be playing somewhere between 11-24 VNs at the moment.

  3. I used to play like 5-6 vns at one go, but now it's one at a time because I finish them faster this way

  5. Just one at a time. It helps to stay focused and not forget the plot and the characters lol

  6. 2-3 most of the time. And to be more specific - I'm usually reading a single VN and following 1-2 playthroughs on Youtube (mostly listening to those while working). I really avoid picking up more than that, mostly because I review many of the VNs I read and don't want to divide my attention too much.

  7. After quite a long wait I have finally have the Grisaia complete box. This is the front of the box The back of the box The sides of the box The back of the things that houses the games as well as the soundtracks. The games and soundtrack The artbook (it is quite large) A random sample from the artbook (sorry for blurry picture, not really that steady when holding a camera). Extra items Size comparison with a regular DVD case and a normal japanese physical VN. As for the quality of this I would say it is amazing. It looks wonderfull and it has quite a lot of weight to it and just feel like an overall really high quality product. If I were going to nitpick some things I guess one would be that I think it would be nice if they had the small extra stories on disc, since they already had so many things on disc they should have just added one more (not a huge complaint though since they are only really short stories, <2 hours each according to vndb). Another thing is that the cover thing for The cleaning of grisaia light novel doesn't really seem to fitt perfectly (seems larger than it should be compared to the book). Though again these are just small nitpicks, overall I am really really satisfied with the quality of the box and glad I bought it even though it was really expensive.

  8. Why do you review untranslated games if you can't read Japanese?

  9. I sure hope so. I've been looking forward to reading Rewrite soon, so if what ChaosRaven said is actually true and also something you're not supposed to know until later on in the story, I'm going to be pretty pissed.

  10. Yeah it is nice to have a different story. I see more vns, that interest me, and I end up reading them. I do need to finish the ones I started though.

  11. Same, videogames are a neverending backlog for me, as well as vns and anime.

  12. 1) At the start I just wanted to read VNs and LNs that weren't translated, though I quickly got interested in translation, which is what kept me going even after reaching a "decent enough" level. Over four years later and here I am, translating VNs. Yay. 2) It only took a few months to start reading my first unTLed game, but it was slow and... pretty messy. I didn't feel comfortable reading a game fully without major issues until a good year of studying. 3) The first few? Very hard. But, I got through them regardless, and I learned lots from them. 4/5) No. I did use those for a while when I was new, but I stopped using them once I felt like they turned into more of a crutch than an aid. More often than not I'd end up trying to read the furigana over the kanji compounds in the text hooker before I even looked at the kanji, even if it was a word I knew. This is obviously fairly pointless. In my opinion, text hookers should only be an aid in the beginning, when you really don't know much vocab at all. Once you start getting a bit more into it, you should ditch the text hookers, and start looking up stuff manually. Yes, it's slow at first, but it's absolutely the best way to learn and remember what you learned.

  13. usually 2. That may seem strange but the reason is this: I usually play on my home PC where I play only 1 VN at a time. But when I am on travels because of work I have a 2nd (and different) VN installed on my work laptop. The VN on my laptop is usually one with an easier plot because I only get to play them from time to time so they shouldn't be too plot-heavy.

  14. I decided to play Cartagra last night (which I'm enjoying so far), and I'll start KnS afterwards

  15. Seems like you still have some way to go

  16. Yeah that makes sense. I find it hard to play just one or two at a time though because there's so many I wanna start lol

  17. Usually 1 or 2, sometimes 3. One or two in english if two then one is a nukige while the other is not and then one in japanese. Btw atm only reading 1, that being Imouto Paradise 2. Currently taking a break from VNs in japanese since I am reading through assasination classroom in japanese and don't feel like reading too much in japanese at the same time.

  18. As for the recommendation, I would seconded Eien no Aselia here along with Seinarukana. If you'd interested with something more mundane, then perhaps you can try Maitetsu as well because it developed the setting that surround the MC well enough (Keep in mind though that there's loli). For the last recommendation, I can suggest you to try Soukoku no Arterial here seeing that it did have their own world setting as well. I hope that my recommendations can be helpful to you.

  21. Kara no Shoujo if you want to catch and detain mass murderers and Rewrite if you want to date them. But yeah, playing Cartagra before KnS would be better. Though the writing in Cartagra isn't as good as in KnS yet.

  22. Aside from the "sighed" thing there's nothing wrong with that line. But even then, it's fairly obvious to see that it's a pun on side. As for why, I don't know, but it probably has something to do with the original pun being with "soba". The fourth one they just switched "I'm pitching to you" to "You're up to bat". Simple change, and this is done all the time in professional translations. As for the last one, I'm not sure what about it is "nonsense". The "side effect of intense aggression" is obviously referring to the からくるもの and not the サカリ part itself. If you look up to the SD image, you see the word testosterone. Testosterone is related to both sex drive and aggression. As for the sentence fragment issue, VNs are full of sentence fragments. The wording of the line here makes it pretty obvious that it continues off of a previous line so I'm not sure where the confusion lies.

  23. What about Parasyte? It starts off pretty good and I was instantly gripped by it - it's one of my favourites Edit: But if she's not into horror then I wouldn't recommend it to her lol

  25. Well, that's an ideal scenario. I liked how, for example, the Demon Lord isekai mixed humour with genuinely cool action (only the humour was mostly coupled with unbearable fanservice), but it'd rather not expect anything when approaching these shows. Or rather, I expect the worst and leave infinite potential for being positively surprised.

  27. Between friends at that age there is certainly a thing like claiming a woman. Same goes for girls as they do the same. I didnt read everything as i cant read sjw nonsense without getting pissed off. Yeah, go try getting it on with a girl your friend is either trying to date or is dating, but not in a official relationship with and see how long your friendship lasts. I mean, even if you're a sjw its still allowed to make use of your head.
