  1. Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete (In Search of the Lost Future) Description At Uchihama Academy, the number of new students at the school has been increasing every year, so a new school building is constructed. Before they move to the new building, the school will hold one last cultural festival at the old building before it is closed down. Each of the clubs decide to give it their all to make it a success. The student council asks the astronomy club to calm the uneasiness among the students in regard to mysterious incidents at the old building. Sou Akiyama, a member of the astronomy club, is inspecting the old building when he finds a mysterious naked girl, Yui Furukawa, who appears to know him. The next day, Yui expresses her desire to join the astronomy club. (Description taken partially from VNDB and Wikipedia.) VNDB link: https://vndb.org/v4880 Where to purchase The game can be purchased legally from DMM (https://dlsoft.dmm.co.jp/detail/tin_0002/), but a Japanese proxy/VPN may be necessary to purchase it. In addition, there's an extra layer of DRM which requires the installation of the DMM Game Player software which then allows you to download and install the game. A Japanese VPN is necessary to use DMM Game Player, both to download the game once purchased, and also to launch the game, although once launched the VPN can be turned off. This is the copy I have obtained, but the patch will work with both the DMM version and the original disc version released in 2010, although the only difference will be in their encryption and the addition of one extra file to get the disc version to work on modern systems. Project The English localization project is being conducted by Studio Frisay as its third project following Imasugu Onii-chan ni Imouto datte Iitai! in 2022 and H2O √ after and another Complete Story Edition in 2023. As before, I (Tooko) will be doing all of the translating and editing of the script, along with probably most of the image editing, and working on the game engine. Also as before, nReus has agreed to help with the rendering of the game's videos and also some of the image editing (you can largely thank him for the design of the logo above). Studio Frisay website Studio Frisay discord server Progress Programming: The game uses the Kirikiri engine, one of the most popular and versatile engines around. I've already taken care of the preliminary engine hacks necessary to construct the patch after a lot of trial and error, and also received some help to streamline the patch creation process once the project is complete. Translation: The translation took place between January 19 and August 10, 2024, and I had already translated about 25% of the script by the time I announced the project in March. The game has 35,416 lines across 180 scenario files split up between the five heroine routes: Kaori: 8519 / 8519: 100% Airi: 7368 / 7368: 100% Nagisa: 7356 / 7356: 100% Yui 1: 8334 / 8334: 100% Yui 2: 3839 / 3839: 100% Total: 35416 / 35416: 100% Relatively uncommon for this type of game, it doesn't have a separate common route and instead incorporates elements similar to a common route into the beginning of each route. There is also a set order the routes must be completed, which is the same order they're listed above. A full walkthrough will be provided with the patch to view all CGs and endings. Images and videos: Of the 150 or so images that require editing in the game, almost all of them (134) are part of the UI, so it probably shouldn't take that long to finish them up. As for the videos, there are 4: 2 for the OP and 2 for the ED that will require typesetting for the lyrics and a few lines of other text. The images and videos are being edited by nReus. Editing: Editing the script began on August 13, 2024 and concluded on February 12, 2025. Image and video editing are still ongoing. Progress link on Google Sheets

  3. Finally at long-last, the script is now fully edited! Thank you to everyone who has been looking forward to seeing this patch get completed, which looks to be very close on the horizon now. For the time being, editing of the game's UI, in-game images and video editing led by nReus is still ongoing, but will hopefully be concluded soon (as in, before the end of February). Then the QC process will start where I play through the whole game and test the patch for bugs, along with any fixes to the script I may have missed during the editing process (which usually amounts to 2-3% of the script getting altered, if the last two projects are any indication). And as coincidence would have it, the game is currently 50% off on DMM until March 10, so please consider buying the game if you can and haven't already. The patch will still work with whatever version you have available though, only the encryption for the patch will be different (which will be as easy as copy/pasting the correct files in the patch, which will be specified on release). So I'll be back on the next update.

  4. Visual Novel Translation Status (25/09/2022) Since we have Clock Up announced that they'll localize their newest title Sacrifice Villains in the future along with that we have Our Marriage 1 released, I figure that I should make reference toward Boku no Hero Academia manga English title, My Hero Academia, by changing 'My' into 'Our' and 'Hero' into 'Villain', so we have 'Our Villain Academia' as this week VNTS Review title (By the way Justopia in Sacrifice Villains is remind me of All Might from My Hero Academia manga). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week honestly speaking it's still the same in that it's another below average one to me even with the releases seeing that some of those are console only otome VN, although I know though some may interested with those otome releases here. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Clock Up announced their newest VN, Sacrifice Villains, will also be available in English sometimes after Japanese release date (December 23rd) later. As for the one who will localized it, the most obvious candidates seems to be Mangagamer so let's see if it'll be the case later. Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige (Hentai Heaven's Slutty Salvation) with the premise is more or less the ungrateful king who imprisoned the MC that is the isekai hero after said hero help the king, and the MC will do the payback to the king after he take care of his manly desires towards the twin goddess who summon him. In case you want to see more of it, it'll be released on October 7th later. Lastly we have Shiravune will release the last of their five initial announcements (Dawn of Kagura: Maika's Story - The Dragon's Wrath) on 30th later, and here's hoping there'll be interesting announcements in one of eight Shiravune announcements later. In case you have Switch and want to some play otome VNs, both Aksys and Idea Factory by released Piofiore 1926 and Amnesia fandisc respectively. That said though, apparently you need to play the prequel for those otome VN because apparently those new releases are the sequels, so perhaps it might be the right time if you want to play the main game first in case you still don't play those yet (By the way at least Idea Factory here did release Amnesia for PC). Have fun if you already have those otome VNs because you interested with it and already played it. From fan translation, first of all our Ittaku already do the playthrough proofread for three out of four translated route in Harugi with the last route left is Shino's route, and he also said that if all goes well (ie not finding any new bugs) it's possible to see him release the patch within this week so let's see it later. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have 149 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime are translated, Chronos is at 45% translated, Tae's route in Akagoei FD is fully translated and now the translator start to work on Tsuki's route, Senmomo is at 70.80% edited with Chapter 5 is at 62.10% edited, and Eustia is at 98.35% in programming with Licia's chapter is finally reach past 90% mark (91.21%) in programming. Oh yes we also have Yosuga no Sora keep continuing their editing work along with them released their daily patch, and for today currently we have it is fully translated along with 63% TLC-ed and 21% edited. Lastly we have Watamari or initially it's translated as Our Marriage release, and since there's a number '1' it's quite obvious that the developer will make this as serial VN so there should be a sequel in the future. In here we have our female MC Hikari who is tasked to infiltrate a mysterious academy and determined to not stand out, only for that plan to be failed because she was chosen to bear the mark of Virgo zodiac and thus make Hikari slightly more standing out more than she wanted to. From what I see, once again it should be obvious that Our Marriage here is obviously a GL VN like the developer previous works (Ne no Kami duology and Sacrament of the Zodiac), and it seems that it'll tell the more of the setting that was established in Sacrament of the Zodiac. Also interestingly this time the developer decided to make this as all age VN, although they may made 18+ patch later. Go get Our Marriage 1 if you want some GL VN and don't mind it as the first part of serial VN, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
