Crescendo - Old game, still good - 8/10
Infernoplex and one other reacted to LostPomegranate for a blog entry
I originally read Crescendo nearly 20 years ago at the time of writing this review, and I decided to reread it. The only thing I could clearly remember going into the reread was that I got emotional during the first read. Well...it's still got it. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys a well written pretty believable emotional story. There are some topics touched on that will upset some people. If you're sensitive to the following you may want avoid this VN: moderate to heavy spoilers very heavy spoiler Systems are about as standard as you'd expect from a VN that was released in the early 00's. The OST is actually really good and uses many Scott Joplin classical songs. Voice acting was also pretty good, especially given the age of the VN. Only frustrations really come from it being 640x480 so it's either in a small window or a weird full screen unless you upscale it yourself - which I would recommend doing using something like magpie if you have a larger monitor. The writing here is good with no real lulls in the story, so even though it's a 10 or so hour read, there's not really any wasted fluff reading. A lot of the story is told through flashbacks as the characters recall their time in high school as they (MC and some heroines) are graduating in a few days. I personally appreciated this storytelling method as it also helped give a sense of time passing through the various stories rather than everything just being done in a whirlwind 4 days. Characters are believeable in their motivations and actions, which brings weight to the story. I personally enjoyed every heroine, but they each had their flaws as well, which just made them feel more human. I'm not going to go into the routes themselves in detail as they would be difficult to discuss completely spoiler free. I don't really think there's any obvious outlier routes in regards to writing quality present in Crescendo, all of the routes are well written and have their arguments. For those of you wondering how sad it gets on the nakige / utsuge front to help you decide whether you want to read it: I'd recommend this VN to anyone who likes well written emotional stories.2 points -
Angraecum Scramble Review - Top 10 Best Rated VNs Translated at 2018
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to my top 10 list of translated VNs for 2018, and I think it's the right time to make this seeing that 2019 is almost come. As for the rule, there's no yaoi, otome, fandisc (ie Fata Morgana fandisc), and re-release (Konosora and Chaos Child). As for my list here, my taste here is quite personal so I'm sorry if some of your favorite titles didn't available here. Here's my list of top 10 translated VNs for this year, and I hope that you'll enjoy it. As for the score currently I'm based on the VNDB average score at June 10th, 2025, although it may be change in the future seeing that the scores is often fluctuated. 10. Hapymaher (VNDB 7.41, Erogamescape 78) While I did admit that I was interested with this VN because of the costumes that the girls wear in the dream, I also can see that the costumes here is quite sexy so much that it did distract the reader's attention from the real meat of this VN which is the mind screw story that have some nakige element. I understand that the distraction may be deliberate, but it's still a waste though to have that kind of sexy costumes considering that this isn't nukige lol. As for the premise, it was in regard of the MC Tohru Naito who is burdened by his past that he was lost his family, so much that he can't rest because he did have lucid dream every night that he keep felt awaken in the dream. One night he saw two mysterious girls Alice and Maia, with the former was trying to help Tohru while the latter keep doing something bad. From there Tohru keep trying to find the solution to his own problem, while Maia somehow keep dragging the other girls into Tohru's dream. Since this VN involving people entering dream, what I can say is that it would be better to just enjoy the show instead of keep thinking seriously of how is that even plausible because it'll be hurt you head if you think it. Oh and almost forget to say that Hapymaher here did have Alice in Wonderland theme. 9. Sorcery Jokers (VNDB 7.43, Erogamescape 79) The first 2018 release from Mangagamer that was announced back at Otakon 2016, and it's setting was in regard of a city which got some magic user that was exist after years ago when the magic was suddenly came to the existence. While at the first glance it made people felt more content seeing that they manage to a normal life, beneath that there's some secret plan happening and it affected the life of several people. Two of those people are Senri (The magic using criminal) and Mutsumi Haruto (Ordinary school boy), and from there they'd try to understand more about what's happening around them in which they may need have a hard time to do that. As for the MCs each of the MC got two heroines each, and yeah I did say it in plural because in Sorcery Jokers we'll going to have two MCs (The aforementioned Haruto and Senri). That said, since this VN involving some combat and world building we won't see much romance at least until you finished the VN, and for more info this VN is a linear one with the feature that you need to unlock the scenes first. Also while there's only two MCs occasionally we also can see the perspective from three other heroines (The fourth heroine didn't have POV), or to put it simply it's like 11eyes Cross Vision system. Speaking about Haruto, I did hear that his 'not playing fair' catchphrase is annoying although I would say that Haruto here is overshadowed by far more cool Senri, and that you can slightly understand there's a reason of why Haruto is like that if you know the twist (The twist remind me of Tales of the Abyss's own twist). 8. Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ (VNDB 7.61, Erogamescape 81) The first time I find this VN was through the opening song, in which I did hear it when I'm binged Astral Air opening. One time I let my Youtube video player to play next video in the play list, and it happen that one of the video was Fureraba opening in which I'd find it addictive because it's sounds melancholic. Anyway after I'd hear the opening I search about the VN, and turned out that it's a VN from Smee in which back then there's no hope to be translated even though I'm quite interested with that. At least until Nekonyan did their debut and announced Fureraba as their first title, in which they'd release it quickly at the same month that they promised (March). As for Fureraba, while the opening sounds melancholic actually the game itself is full of humor so we can say that it got some mismatch lol. The premise is simple though that namely it's about Kyousuke (The MC) who strife get his girlfriend, and that you must accomplish it through the small talks between the heroines. As for the heroines, there's estranged childhood friend, best friend, very rude classmate, and very shy popular senior girl. Overall I did enjoy this VN and if you want more Smee VNs, there'll be more considering that Nekonyan picked Making Lovers. 7. Maitetsu (VNDB 7.68, Erogamescape 77) Since the heroines here are designed to look like child, Lose was afraid of the ban for overseas release so much that they censored panty shot in the VN as well. That said, it's still fair enough compared to what Pulltop did to Miagete because at least Sekai also released the 18+ patch for this in that it unlock the sex scenes if you didn't mind with it. Nowadays there's also the patch to restore the censored contents, so censored contents shouldn't be an issue anymore. For the premise here, we got out MC Soutetsu who suffer train accident in his childhood come back to his hometown in order to save the town from the potential water pollution thanks to the plan to build an aircraft factory. Some time later, he find a doll which turned out to be an android known as Raillord which supposed to control the train, and seeing that Soutetu got an idea to revive the train so that the town didn't need to depend on the factory as income source of the town. By the way the Raillords here are pretty much the train's life, so it's understandable if you asking about the setting if you heard it first. The questionable setting and early controversy aside, Maitetsu here did have a lot of technical talk about train itself. 6. Evenicle (VNDB 7.69, Erogamescape 82) The first attempt from Alicesoft to make new franchise now that they already ended Rance franchise, although both of Evenicle and Rance did share some of it's lore though. As for the VN story itself, it's self contained enough considering the scope was covering of the whole Evenicle world instead of a part of the whole world like Rance, although judging from the sequel we may have many different worlds for Evenicle series setting though. As for the first Evenicle premise, it's in regard of Aster who want to marry both of his childhood friend only to be stopped by the rule that man can only have one wife unless he became the knight. So Aster decide to become the knight in order to be able to marry both, and from there he met several other women who one way or another become his wives while at the same time he face several enemies who based on Seven Deadly Sins. As for the gameplay I think it's like the combination of Final Fantasy 4 with fixed five party members with specified roles, and Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light with battle system that based on 5 BP that will regenerate by one per turn (Also with the Seven Deadly Sins). Overall I did find that Evenicle here is quite good. 5. Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road (VNDB 7.69, Erogamescape 78) I did repeatedly say that it'll be better if we didn't expect Majikoi from this seeing that both premises are already different, but seeing that the tone is the same along with the fact that there's Takahiro who is infamously have big influence in each of his credited works, it's hard to say that it's not like Majikoi here. So perhaps the right word for Tsujidou here is 'Majikoi but no Majikoi', in which I know it's hard to understand but at least I'm certain that Tsujidou here will be full of comedy. Anyway the premise is that our Hiroshi who is far more normal compared to Majikoi's MC did spot the beautiful delinquent at his class Tsujidou Ai (The main heroine) did looking cute while pick a cat, and from there both of Hiroshi and Ai sort of in relationship for a while. At the same time, Ai was dubbed as one of the three strong delinquent in their territory along with two other heroines (Renna and Maki). For more info, this is the second Tsurezure's work that in which Trip didn't like Maki to put it lightly and said that Hiroshi here is worse compared to HatsuKoi's Yuuma. Even so, they still managed to finish Tsujidou and I'm sure that most people who've been looking forward to this would be grateful, so I appriciate their work on this even with the fact that Trip dislike this. 4. Island (VNDB 7.77, Erogamescape 82) Frontwing 15th anniversary project, and instead of ask four writers like back at Grisaia this time they decided to ask Goo to write this, so it's normal if we expect some sci-fi from this considering that Goo did write Himawari who is also known for some sci-fi element. As for the premise, it was in regard of Setsuna who at first didn't remember his name until a girl with the name Rinne call him with that name, and so Setsuna decided to go with it and helping Rinne while at the same time try to understand his own self. We also have the setting that there's a legend that Rinne here is one part of the three families in an isolated island, and that there's a rumored curse that was supposed to be happened because of apparent past mistakes that was done by supposed Setsuna's and Rinne's ancestors. Almost forget that like Tsujidou you can have a romance with the three family daughters, although since this is all age VN obviously we wouldn't have sex scenes (At least Yukari Tamura as Rinne here is more than enough tradeoff lol). Like Grisaia, Frontwing also adapt Island into anime and it should be good if for the conclusive ending only (The anime was kind of rushed though), while at the same time the VN was ended in slightly less conclusive note. 3. Sanoba Witch aka Sabbat of the Witch (VNDB 7.84, Erogamescape 80) Back at last year I did thought that Sekai will bring more Yuzusoft VNs, and turned out I was wrong because the one who release it first was Nekonyan. Also to elaborate more Senren Banka license was moved from Sekai to Nekonyan, leaving Sekai with Tenshin Ranman and Dracu Riot in which both of those are frozen so any chance for near future release is small. So let me redact my statement by saying that there'll be more Yuzusoft VN in the future because Nekonyan have Senren Banka. Anyway as for Sanoba's premise here it's about of how love that was started from masturbation, and it make sense in the context. Or if you want to be concise it's about our MC Shuuji who can perceive the emotion saw Nene who was masturbate in the library which turned out it's because of her witch contract that cause the horniness, and Nene sign the contract in order to fulfill her wish just like Madoka. While they say witch, I would say that magical girl here is more fitting to Sanoba but then again both of those are almost the same. For more info, this is the first officially localized Yuzusoft VN while at the same time the third (The second if you still wait for Dracu Riot official release) translated Yuzusoft VN, and once again there'll be more in the future thanks to Nekonyan. 2. Flowers -Le Volume sur Été- (VNDB 8.34, Erogamescape 81) Also known as Flowers Summer, and the most interesting JAST release at this year out of their three releases to me, with their other two releases are Schatten and Sweet House. As for the premise, once again it's shoujo ai VN telling the story of a tall and beautiful girl, Suoh, who is painfully shy attend Saint Angraecum in order to improve herself, and currently suffer some heartbreak after the drama from Flowers Spring happened. Thus our snarky wheel chaired girl Yaegaki Erika took unto herself as Suoh's fellow fan of literature to help Suoh to recover and become the MC of this VN, and obviously we'll going to see of how Erika will handle her own problem in which she did find a new friend with the name Takasaki Chidori who'll later become her soulmate. Since this is the second part of tetralogy, obviously there'll be two more parts in which as of now JAST was working on the third part and hopefully they'll work on the fourth part (Which will conclude Suoh's story) later. Oh yes, unlike Flowers Spring this time there's no controversies in regard of the bad translation, so good job to the translator. Also there are some known anime VAs voicing the characters in here, namely Kaori Nazuka (Suoh's VA), Aya Suzaki (Chidori's VA), and Sakura Ayane (Erika's VA). 1. 428 ~Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de~ aka 428: Shibuya Scramble (VNDB 8.35 Erogamescape 84) Currently the only VN that got Famitsu score 40/40 in which in term of video game it would be a big accomplishment (Only 25 games as of 2017), and obviously it mean that Shibuya Scramble here would be a subject of hype. Although as for that, I think the hype was pretty much justified seeing that this VN is quite unique because instead of usual anime like drawing, the creator decided to use photograph which mean that it's obviously will cost a lot. As for the premise, it start simple enough with a detective was tasking into resolve the kidnapping case by giving the ransom money to the kidnapper. Of course things turn out to be not as simple as the first look, and so the detective decided to unravel what's really happening behind the kidnapping. Other than the detective, there's four other characters who somehow are involved in the kidnapping case and you'll going to see from the perspectives of all of those characters so essentially we'll going to have five MCs. Other than PS4, Shibuya Scramble was also out for PC so you can play it if you didn't have PS4, although you can only use the keyboard to play it. Almost forget that if you like Canaan anime, you should check Shibuya Scramble here seeing that this VN is the prequel for the anime itself. As for of the VNs at this year, I would say that with Nekonyan being aggressive looks like it'll be possible that we can get more VNs title. Although of course the situation can be change though because it's still up to the company whether they can release it or not, and we know that the company situation could be easily changed. With this year was almost close, let's look forward to 2019 later with more potential VNs release. PS - As for the title, I'm just combined Flowers school place setting (Saint Angraecum) with Shibuya Scramble, so we got 'Angraecum Scramble' for the title although of course there's no big scrambling zebra cross in the school in Flowers like back at Shibuya.1 point -
Brother Tales Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to my first VNTS Review in 2023. Since we have Brothers Conflict release, I'd make a parody of the Autumn 2001 anime Angel Tales, which is somehow fitting seeing that both have 13 characters of the same gender with the MC is from the different gender (Although Brothers Conflict heroes are not the animal in their past life though), so we have 'Brother Tales' for the title. For the first week of 2023, the only release that we have is Brothers Conflict, although obviously it's not that I'd paid attention to. That said, the updates that we have here are far more interesting compared to the single release. Oh yes Shiravune also about to release their first 2023 title, although it's not what I look forward from them here so I suppose they want to go through their smaller title first. All in all, this week is more or less another average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Even though we have Brothers Conflict release, it's not been released by Aksys Games but instead it was fan translated. For the premise, we have our female MC Ema who had her remarry a man who turned out has 13 handsome sons, and when Ema moved on the brother didn't easily accepted her in. Of course though, sooner or later the brothers feeling towards Ema starts to change, and from there it's possible that the changed feeling will be blossoming towards the forbidden love. It also has anime adaptation, so at least it's quite popular to a degree. As for the translated version, it's Passion Pink. I did mention the version because turned out there's a big difference between version, with said difference is which brothers that you can date, so you can't date all of the brothers in the translated version here. Go get Brothers Conflict if you want to play it and have PSV (The translator only translate PSV version), and have fun. Cherry Kiss announce yet another nukige with the title Kinky Cosplay: Gyarus Gone Wild, and well I can only say that it's another short nukige from Miel with the focus is the gyaru heroines. In case you want to get it, it'll be available on 13th later. Speaking of nukige, Shiravune first 2023 title is one in that it's the sequel of nurse femdom nukige, Nope Nope Nope Nurses, and it should be obvious that it'll be about another femdom nukige with nurses heroines, so it's not my interest here. In case you want to get it though, you can note the release date in which it'll be on 20th later. JAST did confirm that they're failed to release Tokyo Necro in 2022, but in exchange they mentioned that they're preparing for both Steam and GOG release, so at least you can buy it from the other stores beside JAST store. As for the cause of the delay, as expected it's more or less because the engine work of it is still not done yet, especially with them mentioned that they're 'working closely with Nitroplus to deliver the best possible experience for players', which apparently involving several testing and stuffs. Speaking of delay, we also have Lupercalia release delayed because of the translator was too busy, although he most certainly promised that he'll release the full translation patch in this month. Oh yes we have Lupercalia is at 99% edited with QC in progress, with the remaining things to do are give a look through to all script files along with cleaning typos here and there. For the rest of fan translation updates, besides Brothers Conflict release and Lupercalia delay announcements, we have Chronos is fully translated along with 80% edited, 70 out of 138 script files of Umi kara Kuru Mono are translated, Senmomo is at 84.08% edited with side stories is at 44.3% edited, the editing of Tsuki's route in Akagoei FD is currently ongoing with the translator started translating Akagoei 3, ChuSingura is at 17.78% translated, H2O is at 81.3% translated with Hamaji's route was fully translated, and Eustia is at 99.46% in programming with Licia's chapter is at 97.14% in programming. We also have Snow Ryuujin informed that they managed to translated 2 out of 4 sex scenes in Hikari's route of Miagete, in which it's pretty much about 60% like the last update mentioned. That's all for what I can say in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Tatarigami in Love Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Foreword - No VNTS again because the deadline for Sanoba release is only 18 days left, so as usual I decided to make another VNTS Review here. I hope that you'll enjoy this week review from mine as well. Since we have an exciting announcement from Pulltop along with Koropokkur release at the last week, I decided to just combined the word from those two title. As for 'in Love' it was in regard of the full name for Koropokkur which is 'Koropokkur in Love', while for 'Tatarigami' it was because Pulltop's new announcement in which turned out to be yet another their Sakura expy VN and this time the subtitle was not very subtle (Healing Harem) with the focus on three tatarigami want to marry a man who is coincidentally our MC (Duh). Anyway after the good announcements from the last week, this week was pretty much quite a plain one although we also have an update from Tsurezure though which of course always welcomed. As for the release, while this week we have more compared to the last week, unfortunately none of the release were big one so I think it's more or less just another usual week. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. This week we have both of Harem Guild release, and the exact date for Steins Gate Elite release date was announced at February 19th later (Obviously at 2019). Well what I can say is that both news were pretty much redundant to me, so I'm more or less just pass on those two. Speaking about harem, once again Pulltop did announced their own Sakura expy (LoveKami) and this time they decided to be not so subtle about the title here (Healing Harem). The premise was just like I said earlier, that three tatarigami want to marry the MC so I think I didn't need to talk more about the VN itself. If anything at least this time I agree with Pulltop that this is an exciting announcement, mostly because it's not a big title and therefore I could just ignore it considering that Pulltop here most likely will released it with additional H scenes while we still got censored version for overseas release. In case you want to purchase Healing Harem take a note that Pulltop will release it at this autumn, and at the same time Pulltop did announced that they'll released Konosora FD at winter later. We also have two releases from Sekai, which is quite unusual although the releases in question were more or less just a small one though albeit with some gimmick. The title in question is Innocent Forest, which tell the story about a mysterious girl with the name Luciel who interact with two man through two VNs (Innocent Forest itselves is released as duology for the info). What I can say is that the production value for that is quite low and the graphic itself was not quite good, and the gimmick was definitely didn't help at all with the VR device was necessary to play this (Too expensive for now). So overall what I can say is that this year Sekai releases were quite underwhelming compared to the other companies to me, but at least we have them apparently already finished with Nanairo's QA so if we lucky perhaps we could get that released at this year. Nekonya did have another updates at this week, and as for the updates roundup we have Aokana was at 12% translated, HGB was fully translated, and Sanoba was finished with the editing and TLC progress along with 95% QC-ed so at least we could see that they indeed focusing on getting Sanoba release on time. Also if we look at Frontier KS, as usual it did well with the gathered fund was at almost three quarter of the goal with 11 days left (In yen the gathered fund was at 12,306,667 out of 16,665,000), so it should be possible that the KS would be quite successful although keep in mind that the situation might be change though. The releases from fan translation section was quite mediocre to say it lightly, although the full translation for Umineko Tsubasa is of course should be good if we want to see more Umineko content. As for Gakuen Heaven 2 congratulations for the team, although since the VN in question was a BL one let's just say that I'm more or less just pass on that (You can get that though if some member here want to read some BL). We also have the release of three nukige VNs which is quite sudden, so obviously we have three more nukige translated. I guess some people out there might appreciate those nukige VNs, although once again I'll just pass on those three. In the end, while more or less I'm not quite interested with the releases, but if you want to read those then I hope that you'll have fun out there. For this week roundup from fan translation updates, we have Eustia was at 53.71% translated, Harugi's overall was at 21% translated with Tonoko's route was at 90% translated and Branch was at 31% translated (Along with 23% edited), Loverable was at 42.48% edited along with 22.47% QC-ed, Pure Pure was at 86.10% translated with Tobari's route was past halfway (55.14%) translated, and Yoigoshi was at 27% translated. For the last update, we have Tsurezure did fully translate the common route of Hoshiori with overall progress was at 8.08% translated, and they'll release the common route patch at the next week. Along with that as expected Tsurezure also say that they'll announce the route order for the translation (I did guess that they'll announce the route order when the common route patch is released), and looks like they'll going to have release the patch for each heroines so I'll call the full patch for Hoshiori with whoever route that Tsurezure will translate last. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Knock Knock -Happy End- Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. For this week, since we have Uchi no Koibito sudden release with the premise resemble horror movie Knock Knock (The man was live together with two girls, although in Knock Knock the girls raped the man and then ruined his life) and Tamayura Mirai release from the last week with mod Clephas mentioned that it resemble Monobeno, I'd make a parody of Monobeno updated version, Monobeno -Happy End-, by changing 'Monobeno' into 'Knock Knock', so we have 'Knock Knock -Happy End-' as the title. As for this week, we have a bunch of announcements and releases, although unfortunately none of those are quite interesting to me. If anything else, at least Mangagamer announcements have good graphic, and so to me this week is more or less an average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week here. There's a new fan translation group (Shinzou Translations) that translate several short VNs, with two of those are Fukyou no Hana and Hikage no Himari. I can only say that good for the group if they manage to working on their favorite VNs, even with the VNs are the short one. We also have Dei Gratia full translation patch release, and yes by Dei Gratia I mean the VN that Lemnisca was decided to scrapped the localization plan after their KS with the base goal 57,000 dollars failed (The link to the patch). The premise is still in regard of several people who were trapped inside a closed room like in Ever17 (Which make sense considering Dei Gratia here is some sort of Ever17 tribute), and said closed room is in the sinking submarine 700 meters below the surface with the unknown threat at the depth of the ocean. Go get the translation patch if you want to play this ever since Lemnica announced the KS plan for this, and have fun. For this week fan translation updates, we have ChuSingura is at 24.72% translated with the translated lines passed 20,000 lines mark, Tsuma Netori is at 20% edited, H2O is at 60.2% edited, Senmomo is at 98.42% edited with side stories is at 94.47% edited, and Akagoei FD is at 40.23% edited along with 24.14% QA-ed. That's all for this week fan translation updates. While this is not VN news, may as well mention that Nekonyan will release Lorena on 26th later. Speaking of release, we have both Aksys and Cherry Kiss released Koinegau and Oppai Samurai respectively. Koinegau here is about a female MC who live in Edo era can see the black thread that will be followed by a disaster and thus be shunned by the villagers, which of course eventually lead her to have a romance with one of six handsome heroes. Go get Koinegau if you want to play it and have Switch (Because it's only available on Switch). As for Oppai Samurai, once again it's about a very famous demon slayer who've been forced to have sex with nobody, and it also has interesting description courtesy of Cherry Kiss translator. Go get Oppai Samurai if you're interested with it, and have fun. Shiravune announced they'll release another nukige from Appetitie with the localized title Queen of the Otaku, and they already have the exact release date for it in which it'll be on July 18th later. Other that announce the new title, Shiravune released Kuroinu Redux with them had all characters in silhouette on top of cutting the contents leaving the prologue alone in Steam version, which is understandable considering Valve can be very random when it come to ban even with the game that has less explicit contents. From what I hear apparently it has new contents, although in the end it's still redundant anyway. If anything else, at least people can purchase the whole Kuroinu in cheaper price seeing that Mangagamer release it in three parts with each parts price is at 25 dollars. Sekai manage to be predictable by announced both of Animal Trail FD and Animal Trail 2 back in Anime Central, and at least the graphic for both are good seeing that Unless Terminalia (The VN from the same company) won the Best Graphic Award back in Getchu 2022. Oh yes, Sekai already had both are fully translated and edited with them currently wating the build for both. For the other updates, Sekai also has Imuto no Seiiki was in QA which mean they manage to get the engine, and lastly we have Amairo Chocolata 2 being approved by Valve with Sekai currently doing the testing for it. Mangagamer announced two VNs, with the first one is the aforementioned Uchi no Koibito that Mangagamer was suddenly released on Anime Central. For the premise, this time instead of living with either his childhood friend or little sister, the MC live together with two girls who work at the cafe that the MC frequent because their home was burned down, and obviously it'll lead the MC to eventually have the romance with two girls with them occasionally do threesome. With this, now we have Uchi trilogy available in English, so go get the VN if you interested with it and have fun. The second one is Nightmare x Vampire in which it's possibly Mangagamer's secret project with the progress is fully translated and edited, and this time we have the vampire girl Rei who at first have rivalry with Setsuna (The first Nightmare series MC) before finally respect each other capabilities. Obviously, we'll going to have Rei got raped as per Nightmare series. Mangagamer also has several updates with the most significant one is Sona-Nyl finally in testing, which if we know that it's been announced from all the way back in 2016 it mean that the wait for is is almost over. Speaking of testing, Mangagamer also mentioned that they almost ready to do the testing for Raillore. For the rest of the updates, we have Rance 03 is at 48% translated along with 29% edited, Rance X is at 56% translated along with 5% edited, Funbag Fantasy is past halfway (51%) translated along with 49% edited, and Eve of December is at 91% translated along with 8% edited. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Cerulean Kiss Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, since we have Nekonyan announced their first OELVN license (Cerulean Day) and re-released Onikiss back on last Wednesday, I combined both title so we have 'Cerulean Kiss' as the title. For this week, well, let's just be blunt that this week is more or less a plain one with no interesting announcement (Besides Tsukihime Remake 1 full translation patch exact release date announcement). As for the release, well at least Koiyasumi is a nice short single heroine VN with good graphic, so at least it should be good if you're in mood to play something light. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Sekai did have several updates, and as for the updates we have Sheol engine work is 60% done, Inouto no Seiiki is at 90% in QA, and Nie no Hakoniwa is at 30% edited. JAST did announce the exact release date for Onigokko FD, and it'll be on 23rd later. Cherry Kiss announce yet another nukige with the title Mommy Sensei: Horny Homework with them will release it on 20th later, and I can always say that they're very creative when it come to translate the premise. A company did pick Club Suicide, and from what I see it's an otome VN with the female MC see the announcement in regard of the club who had the goal to do suicide with the female MC unwittingly took a look of it which cause her to be dragged into the club. Turned out that Craftwork had another surprise in regard of their new VN Geminism in which it's already surprising enough that they manage to develop a VN after Sayooshi release back in 2001, because actually they're planned to have Geminism simultaneous English release on August 25th later. I don't know though if Craftwork planned to release this by themselves or asking another party (Maybe Shiravune) for help. For Geminism itself, it has a female twin sisters fought each other for an unknown reasons with two mysterious men watch over the twin fight. Other than that, apparently this might be another VN with disturbing contents, which shouldn't be surprise if we know Sayooshi. Like I mention beforehand, we have an announcement for Tsukihime Remake 1 full translation patch exact release date with said date will be on 17th later (Obviously it mean that Ciel's route are both fully edited and finalized), so if you're understandably been waiting for the full translation patch and have Switch than you can note the date. Personally speaking I probably will not playing this, because it's quite bothersome to set Switch emulator on my laptop back when I tried Mahoyo and the result is not worth of the effort. For Koiyasumi itself, it's about the MC who is an university student coming back to his hometown and reunited with his female childhood friend, and of course they'll have a lot of sweet moment as the couple. Go get the patch if you've been waiting for Koiyasumi, and have fun. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Yuzuki's route of Ginharu is more than halfway edited, ChuSingura is at 26.24% translated, Akagoei FD is past halfway (55.17%) edited, 33 out of 169 script files for Akagoei 3 are translated, and Tsuma Netori is at 30% edited. In regard of Cerulean Day, from what I see it's a VN about an island that become isolated from the outside world because the government decided to make a very tightly controlled internet network as the result of the lethal biological attack that happen in the past, which in exchange make the island is like the world before the internet introduced. I don't know if the VN can be as popular as DDLC or Katawa Shoujo or as well received as Sekimeiya, but at least I can say that the graphic is quite nice looking. For a bit of history, this VN is from Swedian creator with them making the Kickstarter back in 2019, and obviously I don't know about this until Nekonyan announced it. Personally speaking I would prefer Nekonyan to just put the focus on translating VNs, although if they want to try to publish OELVN then so be it (I just hope that they didn't try to create as much as OELVN as possible like Sekai). That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Heartvania: Symphony of the Daybreak Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. For the title since we have Tokimeki Memorial released and that the writer is Igarashi Koji who is known for writing Castlevania franchise, I decided to parody the most famous game of said franchise, Symphony of the Night, by changing 'Castle' into 'Heart' (From the Heartthrob at the translated title) and 'Night' into 'Daybreak' because we finally have Tokeijikake Daybreak released in near future, so we have 'Heartvania Symphony of the Daybreak' as the title. As for this week, well let's just say that it's quite interesting seeing that Sekai did give us several updates along with two new projects, although release wise there's no much compared to the last week. In the end, this week is pretty much average one and let's see what I can write about it. Finally we have Aoi Tori fully translated, and for the info the source is from Nekonyan's Discord. That said though just because it's fully translated doesn't mean that it's almost ready for the release, seeing that there's still so much work to be done on it such as the remaining editing work, the engine work in regard of porting it to Unity, the QA, and finally setting up the store front (Including waiting for Valve's review) before finally ready for the release. Speaking of waiting for the review, turned out that Dokyuusei Remake need more time to get the review done so unfortunately Shiravune need to delay the release of it, although that said the new release date should be still at this year. We also have Yumemi Dreamer 8th chapter released, and Ninetails announced the exact release date for Frontier mini fandiscs in which it'll be at 25th later. As for Tokimeki Memorial release, it's been released by a fan translation group. What I can say is I did remember that I show some interest with the game seeing that it's said as the most popular dating sim in the article that mention it back at 15 years ago (I forgot the detail), although nowadays I can only say that the graphic is quite outdated for an obvious reason (It's 1994 VN after all). Still if you show some interest into playing historical dating sim, go play Tokimeki Memorial at SNES emulator and have fun. For other updates from fan translation, we have both of Taimanin Kurenai and Arcueid's route of Tsukihime Remake fully translated, 93% original lines of Summer Pockets were reworked, Chaos Head Noah was at 24.27% TLC-ed along with 13.95% edited, Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 has 20 scripts worked on, Harugi was at 55% edited, and Senmomo was at 37.14% edited with side stories was at 29.34% edited. Like I say earlier we finally have the exact release date for Daybreak (Tokeijikake second part for the reminder), and it'll be at 18th later. Let's just hope that after this Sekai won't need long time to finally released Morning Mist there (Last part of Tokeijikake trilogy). For Sekai other updates, we have both of Harvest Festa and Imouto no Seiiki was at 80% translated, and Yumeiro was at halfway translated along with 20% edited. For the first new project we have Sekai localized Usokara Hajimaru Koi no Natsu (Usonatau), and from what I can see it's GL VN that'll be released at this year along with has same staffs as Fatal Twelve, so at least I can expect some nice graphic from it. The second is Nine Shinshou in which it's unsurprisingly their secret project, and they already have it ready for the release with the exact date is the same day as Daybreak release (At 18th later). While I did say that it's more or less just the fandisc for the whole Nine series, at least it should be nice to get if one want more Nine and Tsubasu's art. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
How to Live in Healthy Hentai Police State Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (25/06/2023) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll explain it in PS later. As for this week, it's definitely an interesting one with Nukitashi release despite several shenanigans happening. Other than Nukitashi release, we also has the sequel announced as soon as the first game was released. Of course, we also have other updates, with the most particular one to me is in regard of Clover Day's release. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Frontwing announce the exact release date for Grisaia Chronos Rebellion on July 27th, and I can only say 'Yeah, okay. Whatever'. Admittedly speaking it could be good announcement from Frontwing, had they announced it in... 2011. My point is that while Grisaia franchise is indeed good VN, nowadays there are more translated VNs compared to back when Kajitsu was released in 2011. Cherry Kiss did release their nukige (It's Mommy Sensei: Horny Homework for the reminder), and I find that the premise is quite unique with the ugly male MC got support from very sexy (And big breasted) principal to do his revenge quest from being bullied. Go get the VN if you're already waiting for it, and have fun. This week we have H2O show some significant progress, with the current progress of the editing is past three quarter mark (75.12%) edited. Other than H2O major editing progress, we also have Tsuma Netori is at 20% proofread, 400 out of 2499 main script of Fate/Extra CCC are edited, ChuSingura is at 27.92% translated, and Akagoei FD is at 62.07% edited along with 35.63% in QA. We also finally have Alka returned after being absent for a while, and for their recent progress we have Kud Wafter all age version is past three quarter (75.5%) translated with the 18+ version is at 40.1% translated. Speaking of returning, we also have Umi kara Kuru Mono being updated with the current progress is we have 91 out of 138 script files of it are translated. JAST did release Onigokko FD, so in case you want to have little sister route back in the main VN because the little sister didn't have the route in there, go get Onigokko FD and have fun. After several years of waiting (For almost a decade ever since the original fan translation project started), we finally have Nekonyan announced the release estimation for Clover Day's, and it'll be in this August. Granted that it might be placeholder for now, but at least it's better than nothing. Oh yes, Clover Day's itself is already passed the Steam review thanks to Hikari Field submit the new build, and in case you need more proof then you can visit the Store page of it. Shiravune did announce Nukitashi 2 in which it had a new story along with the after stories for the heroines, and no idea on when it'll be released. Anyway congratulation to Qruppo now that we finally have Nukitashi released, especially after their first deal with Sol Press was failed because Sol Press lack of fund. For the premise, well it should be obvious that you better expect a lot of sex scenes because it's title and all. Or if you need more elaboration, it's about the MC Junnosuke who came back to his hometown, only to find out that the town heavily support wild sex with the new law. While it sounds good on paper, turned out that the town is basically become the police state with the government force the people to have sex, and Junnosuke has his own reason to not agree with the policy, so he decided to fight against the law by gathering several allies who've been wronged by the law in one way or another. Go get Nukitashi if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - Since we have Nukitashi release, I figure that I'll just make a parody for one of Mangamer nukige, How to Live a Healthy Hentai Lifestyle, by changing 'Lifestyle' into 'Police State' (Because Nukitashi setting is the police state), so we have 'How to Live in Healthy Hentai Police State' as the title.1 point -
Fate/Twilight Night -Cerulean Glass Moon- Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Because we have Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- release with Nasu as the writer already have Fate as his most famous franchise, I figure may as well add 'Fate' in the title along with 'Twilight' (Because it's has vampire with Tsukihime also has it) and change 'Blue' into 'Cerulean' (The synonym of blue, and it's because Nekonyan announced Cerulean Day), so we have 'Fate/Twilight Night -Cerulean Glass Moon-' as the title. Anyway as for this week, I can definitely say that it's more interesting compared to the last week, especially with Tsukihime Remake Part 1 translation patch release. While the main highlight is obviously Tsukihime Remake, we also has several other updates, with the most prominent one is that Clover Days passed Steam review (Yes you didn't read it wrong). Overall, like I say beforehand this week is an interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Cabbit announce their newest VN (Kagi o Kakushita Kago no Tori) in English, and you can try the trial in the Steam store of it. What I can say is while Cabbit has some VNs with interesting premise (Including this), it's quite unfortunate that they can't just trust other companies to handle their non-nukige VN, especially because it mean that they'll cut the sex scene. Ultimately, it's not like there's no much interesting VN that are or about to be translated anyway, and if anything else at least Cabbit didn't work together with SakuraGame again. Craftwork delayed Geminism release to September 29th later, which mean they probably has more work left that they're initially thought. Aksys released Jack Jeanne, and from all of their releases it's the only their otome VN that didn't produced by Idea Factory, but instead it's worked on by Broccoli (Galaxy Angel developer). What I know is that the MC attended the school for theater acting, she need to hide her identity as girl because the school is all male school, and it's only available in Switch. Go get it if you've been interested with it and had Switch. PQube announced Konosuba VN, and it has dress up game with the casts (The female main casts) personality reversed because of a curse, so you'll get sadistic Darkness, Megumin embracing her role as lolita, and Aqua act like the proper goddess. Unlike Jack Jeanne, at least PQube also announced the PC version of Konosuba VN. Frontwing announced that they'll release Aikagi After Days in this year, which from what I can gather it's about the after story of first Aikagi with the MC and the heroine will have a lot of fun in summer. Sekai did have several updates, with them about to release Imouto no Seiiki on 26th later along with had Sheol engine work is 80% done. We have Clover Days passed Steam review, and once again you didn't read it wrong, because Hikari Field decided to tweak the build and submit the new build to have it reviewed. For the reminder, the last time Valve did reject Clover Days, so it's obvious that they passed it is a good news. That said, there still some works left before the release, but at least that's one major step got taken care of. For fan translation updates, we have ChuSingura is at 27.13% translated, 275 out of 2499 main script of Fate/Extra CCC are edited, Akagoei FD is at 60.92% edited along with 27.59% in QA, Tsuma Netori is at 35% edited, Planetarian Snow Globe image editing work has been finished, and Yosuga no Sora is at 72% TLC-ed along with 57% edited. We also have new translation project from the former White Album translator, with said project is Aikano that also has love triangle story. For the progress of Aikano, currently 186 out of 4471 lines of it are translated. Other than Tsukihime Remake 1 release, there's another release from fan translation in that it's a VN called Nakoruru, and from what I gather it's about a character from SNK fighting game Samurai Spirits. Oh, and that the VN is only available for Dreamcast. Go get Nakokuru if you're interested with it. Lastly, we have Tsukihime Remake Part 1 translation patch release, in which unfortunately it's not available for PC, so you need to have Switch if you want to to play it. The basic premise here is still like in 2000 version, with our orphan MC Shiki called to live together with his strict young sister Akiha, and he also has power to see the line of death that he impulsively use to kill passerby vampire Arcueid, weakening her in progress because she did use most of her energy to revive. The remake has some differences though, with Nasu filled his idea as much as possible in the new version (Especially on Ciel's route), so much that he need to make it in parts, and so he only manage to release one part of it with he obviously need more time to develop the second part. Nasu here also add more new prominent characters in the Remake, in that it'll be nice to see if Battle Moon Wars or Carnival Phantasm can add them. Go get Tsukihime Remake if you've been waiting for the big release of it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Enbizaka Escar Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll elaborate it on PS later. This week we have Mirai Radio release by Nekonyan, which as we know it's been previously licensed by Sol Press. Other than that, we also have yet another nukige release by Cherry Kiss. Lastly, we still have several updates from fan translation, with the most notable one is the rough patch release for Shin Koihime Musou. All in all, I can say that this week here is an average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Cherry Kiss released their nukige suddenly back on 17th, and nothing much to say other than once again it's about a female erotic manga artist with big breast who need a nude model, and of course the MC as a responsible man decided to do that roles for the manga artist. Well go get the VN if you want more short length big breast nukige from Miel (The VN producer), and have fun. I know that we have Shin Koihime Musou rough patch release, although at the same time I also see that the editing work is still continuing with the current progress is at 63% edited because the editor still keep working on it. That said, if you've been desperate to play Shin Koihime Musou because of the much improvement compared to the original Koihime Musou, then you can try the patch (The link to download the patch). For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Senmomo is at 89.88% edited with side stories is at 64.59% edited, H2O is at 3.5% edited, Ciel's route of Tsukihime Remake has been fully edited up to Day 12, Koiyasumi is at 45.75% translated, and Yosuga no Sora is at 46% edited. Lastly, we have Akagoei FD is at 13.79% edited with Tsuki's route was fully edited, and with that the editor will be working on Moe's route. Mirai Radio release here is quite interesting, especially with on how it began as Sol Press license before the license plan is bust because Sol Press own financial problem. One way or another, Mirai Radio license was ended with Nekonyan with it finally see some work on it. That said while I admit that I'm quite interested with Mirai Radio in the past, nowadays I feel that it's been overshadowed with Aojashin (Even with the translated Aojashin has controversy). In any case, Mirai Radio here is still interesting on it's own, especially with on how it's the second well received Laplacian VN. In Mirai Radio here, we have the world without radio wave because it been eaten by the artificial pigeon, and in such world we have Sora who encountered Kaguya (Mirai Radio main heroine) with Kaguya herself came off as being mysterious. Go get Mirai Radio if you've been waiting for it ever since Sol Press licensed it, or maybe if you want to see some 'passionate Hitomi Nabatame-voiced love-making' scenes, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week. Also while I know that Shiravune just announce that they licensed Tamayura Mirai as I expected, I'll save the talk about that for my next VNTS Review. See you next week. PS - For the title, since we have the word 'Bocchi' in Cherry Kiss nukige Japanese title (Bocchi de Kyonyuu na Otaku Joshi Youko-san), I figure that I make a parody for one of Bocchi the Rock episode title in which it's also one of Asian Kung Fu Generation song, Enoshima Escar, by changing 'Enoshima' into 'Enbizaka', so we have 'Enbizaka Escar' as the title. For more elaboration, I chose Enbizaka here because we have Mirai Radio with Asakawa Yuu voiced the main heroine Kaguya, and Asakawa here is also Megurine Luka's VA who sang the song 'The Tailor Shop on Enbizaka'.1 point -
Sono Hanabira All Stars New Stage Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title since we have Sono Hanabira 13 translation patch released, I decided to just combined it with Precure All Stars New Stage movie with Sono Hanabira, and so we have 'Sono Hanabira All Stars New Stage' as the title. Also yes, I did use the similar title from my past VNTS Review, because back then we have Sono Hanabira 11 in that it also has the all casts with the continuation of their stories, and Sono Hanabira 13 is the second game with the similar premise (Hence I use New Stage as in it's the second trilogy of Precure All Stars movie). Anyway as for this week compared to the last week it's definitely an improvement, especially with the release for both Sono Hanabira 13 and Inochi no Spare from fan translation section, and not to mention that Mangagamer finally about to release IX in less than a month. Overall I can say that this week is an interesting one thanks to the releases, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Sekai did already have Amairo Chocolata 2 was fully in QA along with it listed as 'Pending Approvals', which from what I can understand is that it seems Sekai planned it to be their next release after Qualia. Speaking of Qualia release, Sekai already listed February 3rd later as the release date so you can note the date if you've been looking forward to Qualia. For Sekai updates, I can only say that both are not in regard of Madosoft VNs, so whatever. artlink released another translated DLC story for Obedient Women, and this time it's in regard of Kaede Kagami who is a young wife that is competent in houseworks. Mangagamer announced that they'll release Rance IX on February 23rd later, so you can note the date if you've been waiting for new Rance game, especially for the one who've been waiting for the English version since 2014. Shiravune did license another new title that they'll release on February 10th later, and said new title is Beta Sixdouze which is set in the same world as the prequel (Alpha Nighthawk). While I can't say that I like the design as much as I like Miriya's design from the prequel, the art in Sixdouze is still good, so at least you can note the date if you want to see more of Nighthawk world. I'd also mention that I look forward to see if Shiravune will be able to localize Sixdouze as well, and they prove that they can so good for them. We have Chronos released, and from what I see it's about the spaceship with the female crew that will suffer a lot of rape by tentacle. No much to say other than go get Chronos if you've been looking forward to it or want to see more Black Lilith VNs, and have fun. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have H2O was fully translated with the translator now focusing on the editing works for the VN (Image, script, and video), Maho's route of December When There is No Angel was fully translated and now the translator working on Yukio's route, and Senmomo is at 86.95% edited with side stories was past halfway (54.36%) edited. We also have Committee of Zero announced the exact date for Chaos Head Noah fix patch release, and it'll be on February 3rd later. Yesterday we have Inochi no Spare release, in which it's the well known utsuge with the bittersweet ending. I'd say that I hope that someday it'll get English translation so that more it can be enjoyed by more people outside Indonesian (It's available in Indonesian language for the reminder), and I get what I hope thanks to PyroCyan out there. As for Inochi no Spare itself, while I said that the fictional heart disease is the plot device, it can't be denied that it show on how all human are understandably very fearful of death. That said, while it has fictional terrible disease, the author here clearly didn't ask us to have him explaining on how to cure it, but instead the author ask us to see on how the main couple (Ryuuji and Meguri) who have their days numbered thanks to the disease spent the last days of their remaining life. Go get Inochi no Spare if you want to play sad VN and didn't mind the sadness. I mentioned that we have Sono Hanabira (Sonohana) with all casts, and said Sonohana VN is Sonohana 13 aka Snow White Knight, which is another big Sonohana VN that featured all previous couple with one new couple (Rikka x Sayuki). Which of course, we'll going to see on how the new couple will gradually open up to each other and then have sex. For the reminder, Sonohana series was known as nukige in the past, even with the sex scenes are quite short. By the way, even though I mention that all Sonohana couple will appear in Sonohana 13, only five couple that got their stories, so there's not spotlight for the remaining two couples (Takako x Runa and Shizuku x Eris). That said, there's also Sonohana 14 (Which also translated as well) that featured Shizuku x Eris, so at least technically we have six out of seven couples get the spotlight. Go get both Sonohana if you want to see more GL romance (Or maybe just want to read the whole series), and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Towa's Bizarre Adventure: Mithril is Unbreakable Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (20/11/2022) Since Slow Damage MC (Towa) VA is also Josuke's VA from Jojo Part 4 (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable), I may as well made some Jojo reference here by obviously change 'Jojo' with 'Towa', so we have 'Towa's Bizzare Adventure' here. As for 'Mithril', it's from Soukoku no Arterial in that it has the setting that the major company in the game has been produced mithril as their main source of income, so I'd change 'Diamond' into 'Mithril' thus we have the full title for this week VNTS Review as 'Towa's Bizarre Adventure: Mithril is Unbreakable'. As for this week, while it's not as interesting as last week at least it still has several release announcements along with some releases so overall it's not too bad here. That said though, this week is more or less an average one even with Mangagamer new title announcements. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. JAST did release Slow Damage back on 14th, and it's obviously BL VN so it's not my interest here. That said though, I'll try to summarize the premise here. The premise goes like we have our MC Towa who live in a casino resort that soon known to high number of crimes that happen in said city. Our Towa here has the hobby to paint the human desire, or more specifically the moment before said desire urges break free from the constraints. Obviously such hobby can lead into death, seeing that some desire can also involving desire to harm or to kill which doubly dangerous in the city full of crimes. Even so, Towa here would willing to die for the sake of the arts. Of course seeing that it's Nitroplus VN along with the dark setting and the MC's desire, it should goes without saying that Slow Damage here is a dark VN. Go get Slow Damage if you want some BL VN with handsome men along with good (And dark) story, and have fun. Mangagamer released Nightmare x Sisters. As for the premise we have our female MC Setsuna who work as the nun/exorcist has her sister Yuka who also Setsuna's partner get kidnapped by a cult in one of her job to exorcist the demon, and so Setsuna ask the help from her male childhood friend who is the obvious stand in for male MC. Obviously seeing that it's nukige, it's inevitable that Setsuna would suffer a lot of rape because turned out the cult want to keep raping the sisters for their own purpose. I did find that the arts are quite good, so hopefully Mangagamer will localize the rest of Nightmare series if possible. Go get Nightmare x Sisters if you want to play some nukige with a lot of rape, and have fun. Oh yes Mangagamer also announced their next release on December 15th later, although unfortunately it's not Rance IX but instead it's just Hentai Public Service. Last week Love Lab said that they'll release Maid for Loving You soon, and turned out by soon they mean that it'll be released on 25th later. For the roundup of fan translation updates, we have Chronos is at 55% edited, Senmomo is at 77.91% edited with Chapter 6 is at 31.66% edited, ChuSingura is at 15.79% translated, and H2O is at 45.6% translated with Hinata's route is at 42.1% translated. We also have quite big updates from Yosuga no Sora translation team, although from what I see it's more or less about on how they're already finished the work for two routes (Common and Kazuha) in Yosuga no Sora. They also reveal the exact number of Haruka na Sora progress, in which currently we have it at 66% translated along with 41% TLC-ed and 1% edited. Sekai released Eternal Heart in which as we known it's Hoshimemo FD, and with the release the wait is finally done to anyone else who've been waiting for this. It come with a problem though, namely that it can't change to Window mode so you can only play this in Full Screen mode. Anyway in FD obviously we'll going to have the after stories for all of the heroines, with the highlight of the FD goes into Mare and the secret heroine after stories because from what I hear it's where the meat of the FD goes. Go get Eternal Heart if you want to see more Hoshimemo, and have fun. Seeing that Sekai released HD version with the mode changing bugged, I hope that Nekonyan can avoid the bug when they release Irotoridori HD later. Speaking of Nekonyan, they'll release their next release Aokana EXTRA2 on December 16th later so you can note the date if you want to see more Misaki (For the reminder EXTRA2 is Misaki's FD). That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. Edit (21/11) - Mangagamer announced two new title in NYC, although I'll talk more about it in the next VNTS Review so I'll just brief it now. The first announcement is the second part of Nightmare series (Well I get what I wished in regard of Mangagamer will localize the rest of the series) called Nightmare x Onmyoji, and the second announcement is one of minori VN 12 no Tsuki no Eve or if you prefer English title is Eve of the 12th Month (Don't ask me why Mangagamer didn't just called it as Eve of December) with the current progress is at 88% translated along with 5% edited.1 point -
Our Villain Academia Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (25/09/2022) Since we have Clock Up announced that they'll localize their newest title Sacrifice Villains in the future along with that we have Our Marriage 1 released, I figure that I should make reference toward Boku no Hero Academia manga English title, My Hero Academia, by changing 'My' into 'Our' and 'Hero' into 'Villain', so we have 'Our Villain Academia' as this week VNTS Review title (By the way Justopia in Sacrifice Villains is remind me of All Might from My Hero Academia manga). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week honestly speaking it's still the same in that it's another below average one to me even with the releases seeing that some of those are console only otome VN, although I know though some may interested with those otome releases here. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Clock Up announced their newest VN, Sacrifice Villains, will also be available in English sometimes after Japanese release date (December 23rd) later. As for the one who will localized it, the most obvious candidates seems to be Mangagamer so let's see if it'll be the case later. Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige (Hentai Heaven's Slutty Salvation) with the premise is more or less the ungrateful king who imprisoned the MC that is the isekai hero after said hero help the king, and the MC will do the payback to the king after he take care of his manly desires towards the twin goddess who summon him. In case you want to see more of it, it'll be released on October 7th later. Lastly we have Shiravune will release the last of their five initial announcements (Dawn of Kagura: Maika's Story - The Dragon's Wrath) on 30th later, and here's hoping there'll be interesting announcements in one of eight Shiravune announcements later. In case you have Switch and want to some play otome VNs, both Aksys and Idea Factory by released Piofiore 1926 and Amnesia fandisc respectively. That said though, apparently you need to play the prequel for those otome VN because apparently those new releases are the sequels, so perhaps it might be the right time if you want to play the main game first in case you still don't play those yet (By the way at least Idea Factory here did release Amnesia for PC). Have fun if you already have those otome VNs because you interested with it and already played it. From fan translation, first of all our Ittaku already do the playthrough proofread for three out of four translated route in Harugi with the last route left is Shino's route, and he also said that if all goes well (ie not finding any new bugs) it's possible to see him release the patch within this week so let's see it later. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have 149 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime are translated, Chronos is at 45% translated, Tae's route in Akagoei FD is fully translated and now the translator start to work on Tsuki's route, Senmomo is at 70.80% edited with Chapter 5 is at 62.10% edited, and Eustia is at 98.35% in programming with Licia's chapter is finally reach past 90% mark (91.21%) in programming. Oh yes we also have Yosuga no Sora keep continuing their editing work along with them released their daily patch, and for today currently we have it is fully translated along with 63% TLC-ed and 21% edited. Lastly we have Watamari or initially it's translated as Our Marriage release, and since there's a number '1' it's quite obvious that the developer will make this as serial VN so there should be a sequel in the future. In here we have our female MC Hikari who is tasked to infiltrate a mysterious academy and determined to not stand out, only for that plan to be failed because she was chosen to bear the mark of Virgo zodiac and thus make Hikari slightly more standing out more than she wanted to. From what I see, once again it should be obvious that Our Marriage here is obviously a GL VN like the developer previous works (Ne no Kami duology and Sacrament of the Zodiac), and it seems that it'll tell the more of the setting that was established in Sacrament of the Zodiac. Also interestingly this time the developer decided to make this as all age VN, although they may made 18+ patch later. Go get Our Marriage 1 if you want some GL VN and don't mind it as the first part of serial VN, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Nightmare x Brother Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Foreword - I knew Digimon Survive here is on VNTS 4chan list, although after I see the playthrough it looks more like Phoenix Wright instead of regular VNs or rather it's more like usual adventure games so my stance is that I'll just treat it as games, moreso if we see the dialogues is concise enough compared to usual VNs and would be fitting as games albeit with heavier number of text. That said while my stance here is to treat it as games, I definitely can't agree with the action of review bombing on Metacritic just because it looks like usual VNs. While I can see that it's Bandai's fault to not put more emphasize of adventure/VNs gameplay in the trailer video, the fact that Steam did list it as 'Visual Novel' should be enough to gauge what kind of Digimon Survive gameplay will be. Anyway that aside, in the end Digimon Survive here should be a good game on it's own despite some of the flaws, whether you think of it as either usual games or VN. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and once again sorry for being late here. As for this week, while Mangagamer two Otakon announcements here are something that we can say as full of passion because both of those are nukige, the biggest news for this week here is definitely Amatsutsumi release. Of course there's also Ninetails who just do the Kickstarter for Venus Blood Gaia and manage to gather the required fund in less than 24 hours, and obviously some updates from fan translation. Overall I can say that this week is more or less an exciting one to a degree, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Because of some unmentioned circumstances, Shiravune delayed Monochrome Mobius release to October 20th later. We also have some surprise from them, in which they somehow manage to have Great Deceiver on Steam and perhaps it might be because there's no school setting in there which as we know usually perceived as the reason for the ban of the VNs by Valve. Idea Factory also announced the exact release date for Amnesia fandisc, and said date will be on October 20th later as well. Just in case you need more short nukige from Cherry Kiss, you can look forward to their newest nukige release, Yandere Goddess: A Snatch Made in Heaven, in which they'll release it on 12th later so you can note the date if you want to have a nukige with yandere goddess as the heroine. If you want to read Taisho Alice fandisc, you can get it now because it has been released on 27th. From what I can see, the premise is more or less the usual fandisc with the after stories for each of the heroes along with two additional routes for the side characters. Have fun if you already get it, and it's good to see that the fandisc of it is also translated as well in which it's looks impossible to see it happen in the past, especially with bad translation shenanigan happened back in 2017. Like I say beforehand, Ninetails do the KS for Venus Blood Gaia with the goal is at 13.2 million yen and the deadline is on 31st later, and they manage to fulfill it in less than 24 hours (It definitely help that so far Ninetails here is one of competent company when it come to KS). They did estimate that they'll release GAIA in June 2023 later, although whether it'll be sooner or later we'll see. By the way they also released the trial as well, so you can play it to see on how GAIA gameplay will be. For Mangagamer's Otakon announcements, once again all of those are nukige. While I can say that we may have good story on Funbag Fantasy 4 and I like the sexy exorcist uniform design in Nightmare x Sisters (The first part of Nightmare trilogy), I would like to see Mangagamer announce non-nukige on Otakon (At least the visual of both are quite nice, despite the usual big breasts in Funbag 4). For the premise of those two announcements, in Funbag 4 we have the kingdom setting with the king (The MC) tried to become the monk because he's tired of battle leaving his wife and concubines alone, while in Nightmare x Sisters we have the female MC Setsuna who work as the exorcist suddenly had her senior/sister disappear so Setsuna decided to enlist her male childhood friend help because he's the stand in for the male MC for the search, and from there Setsuna will find herself get introduced to endless hell of debauchery which will involve a lot of rape. Other than the obvious Amatsutsumi releases, this time we also have Sekai give us several updates with two of Seiiki series VNs, Kanojo and Imouto, currently waiting for the build which mean we may need to wait for a while before finally see those two VNs released. Speaking of Seiiki series, we also have Gakkou no Seiiki update as well with said update is that currently it's at 10% edited. Other than that, we have Sekai suddenly give the update to Miko no Kanata (I'm seriously forgot when the last time Sekai gave the update on this, but at least I know that it's the nukige involving shrine maiden/miko) and said update is in regard of the exact release date which is on Friday (5th) later. For the rest of the updates, we have Nie no Hakoniwa was at 30% translated, Sheol was at 10% translated, Akaneiro was at 15% translated, Chiisana Kanojo was at 5% edited, and Our Marriage 1 was at a quarter in QA. Before going to Amatsutsumi release, I'll do the roundup for fan translation updates. For fan translation, we have Senmomo was at 66.64% edited with Chapter 5 past a quarter (26.56%) edited, Fuyu Kiss was at 60% translated, Harugi was at 63% edited, Houkago Cinderella was at 51.76% translated, Imaimo was fully edited with the translator started the pre-QC process which including translating the UI and recompiling the text into the ending before moving on to the actual QC, Eustia was at 97.41% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 86.21% in programming, and 24 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu along with half of her sex scenes (5 out of 10) were translated. Lastly we also have Gore Screaming Show/GSS translation team decided to suspend the project because JAST did license it, although they did release the translation patch that translate the VN up to Kiika's route so you can get the patch in case you want to play GSS immediately. Last but not the least we have Amatsutsumi release, and if we following the news in regard of it surely we know that it has some problem with the Steam with Valve did reject both English and Chinese build. As for the reason why, while we can speculate some of it in the end only Valve can say the exact reason for banning Amatsutsumi. Anyway seeing that Sekai may need to release this in hurry, there's still some issue left with the most notable one is the soundtrack title is untranslated (Which is too bad seeing that I'm the one who suggest that Amayui should add translated soundtrack title). For the premise itself it's about our MC Makoto who is from a backwater village came into the slightly busier village and he collapse on the road, and from there he met Kokoro who decided to take care of him. Seeing that he has no house, he decided to use his power of word ability in order to make Kokoro think that Makoto is her older brother. Go get Amatsutsumi if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - For the title I just combined two of Mangagamer's announcements, Nightmare x Sisters and Funbag Fantasy 4, so we have 'Nightmare x Brother' as the title. While 'Nightmare' here is should be obvious, the word 'Brother' is from the subtitle of Funbag Fantasy 4 'Brother Astor' with the Astor himself is the aforementioned king MC. It should be noted that actually there's Brother title in Christian, although it's been overshadowed by Sister.1 point -
Police of Daybreak: A Day in the Life of the Actors Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week title since we have the sequel of Ryuusei World Actor released I'm obviously make the parody of the title. Obviously since Kinugasa wrote both of Akagoei 2/FD and Ryuusei, I did make parody of Akagoei again by changing 'Guardian' into 'Police' along with changing 'Ladies' into 'Actors' so we have 'Police of Daybreak: A Day in the Life of the Actors' as this week title. As for this week, after several weeks with many good announcements this week we have less number in regard of both updates and releases, although of course some updates can be quite interesting to a degree. Overall I can say that this week is slightly below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Cherry Kiss released the nukige about dog girl, and no much to say other than have fun if you already enjoyed said VN. As for Ryuusei 2, the contents is more in regard of the routes for two side characters from previous part, although apparently it's more like that the less focus was put on the heroines and our Kinugasa here is put more focus on the story in order to set up the next part, possibly the last part of the trilogy if we follow his pattern back when he wrote Akagoei. I also find out that Ryuusei 2 did continue from a certain chapter back at previous part, and if anything else at least Kinugasa for all of his fault on writing the ending can set up the trilogy properly compared to Grisaia in which the staffs only focused to make charage on the first part without providing the real prologue of Meikyuu (Frontwing's circumstance back then aside). Anyway go get Ryuusei 2 if you want to see more of Ryuusei World Actor, and have fun. Mangagamer will released Patient S (The BL VN with the same premise as Evenicle 2 for the reminder) at 23rd later, and you can note the date if you want to read more BL VN. Other than Mangagamer announcement for the exact release date of a BL VN, we have Sekai updated several of their projects. Those updates from Sekai are Animal Trails was at 90% in QA, both of Gakkou no Seiiki and Harvest Festa were fully translated, and Chiisana Kanojo no Serenade was finally started being worked on with the progress is at 15% translated. From fan translation section, Senmomo was at 58.94% edited with Chapter 4 was at 61.98% edited, Chronos was at 20% translated, Ruitomo was at 19.08% translated with common route was at 84.21% translated, Fuyu Kiss was at halfway translated (Yuki's route was fully translated) along with 5% edited, Reika/Kyouka route of Akagoei 2/FD was already fully translated and for the next route the translator will focused on Aya's route, and Imaimo was at 67.3% translated with Mao's route was at 67.2% translated. Lastly we have ChuSingura re-translation project and said project is obviously including adding the sex scenes, although seeing that ChuSingura itself has a ton of lines (At 82,770 lines) it'll be a while to see it fully translated. Anyway as for the current progress, 4,669 lines (Or 5.64% from the overall lines) of it has been translated. I'll keep my eyes on the project here. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry if it's quite short here. See you next week.1 point -
Sakura Cherubim Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title since we have Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates released along with Sakura Succubus 5 release (Good to see that Winged Cloud still be able to milk Sakura Succubus I suppose) I changed 'Succubus' into 'Cherubim' so we have 'Sakura Cherubim' for the title (The reason is because we have Cherubim as the part of the setting in Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates). As for this week, initially I thought that this would be a plain one although a certain today announcement did at least has some interesting circumstances behind it, so I suppose this week here is overall quite an average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review. Sekai did release Neko-Mimi Sweet Housemates, and what I can say is that it's created by the former Eushully staffs with the art drawn by Eushully former artist. The premise is very simple in which the MC met up with the group of half-angel half-beast girl called Cherubim, and the MC did accompany the Cherubim with the MC will have romance with the Cherubim. Yeah this is more or less like Nekopara and the like, although the VN here is actually adapted the doujin manga. Also judging from the number of the heroines and the fact that it has 'Volume 1' word, it's pretty obvious that there'll be a plan to develop two more VNs to allow the MC to have romance with all of three heroines. Go get the VN if you want to play a serial moege VN with the art that resemble Eushully's VN (By the way the first volume heroine here resembled Kuna from Amayui Labyrinth Meister), and have fun. Aniplex planned to released Mahoyo on Switch and PS4, in which it's normal if Aniplex want to distribute it seeing that they did broadcast Fate Stay Night DEEN version in Indonesia way back at 2007 through Animax (Both Aniplex and Animax are under Sony). More importantly the plan is to add the English language support in the release later, so effectively it mean that Type-Moon decided to allow Mahoyo to be localized. While it looks surprising at the first glance, actually it make sense to a degree seeing that we also have Melty Blood in which it's Type Moon game was localized. Obviously though it mean that the release will be overlapped with the fan translation of PC version, and actually the console version here would be superior one seeing that it has voice as well. In case you want to get it, it'll be available at December later so you can note the month if you have either Switch or PS4. Love Lab will localize a VN with the maid that has localized title 'Maid for Loving You', and it's still unknown whether it's one of their two secret project or not. If anything else, at least I know that it has maid heroine and it'll be a short length VN. We also have a fan translation group with the goal to translate Ruitomo, and as we know Ruitomo is another VN from Akatsuki Work (Hello Lady and Comyu developer for the reminder) with the MC being a trap thanks to the curse. From there our MC will find several other cursed people who share similar situation with the MC, and they'll stick together as the group. I'll keep my eyes on the project, and good luck to the translator of it. For the progress we have it at 5.34% translated with common route was at 23.54% translated. For the rest of fan translation updates at this week, we have Senmomo was at 46.98% edited with Chapter 3 was at 49.53% edited, Harugi was at 60% edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at 95% edited, Chicchakunai Mon was at 91% translated, Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 has 26 script files worked on, Eustia was at 95.34% in programming with Licia's chapter was past three quarter (75.23%) in programming, and 38 out of 141 script files of Mizuha's route in Ginharu was translated with the translator finished translated the middle school arc of Mizuha's route (For the reminder each of Ginharu routes are divided into three arc (Middle school arc, high school arc, and college arc)). Lastly we have the team behind Aojashin uncensoring project reveal that they decided to continuing on translating the rest of the sex scenes, and currently they translate two more sex scenes from the second case so at least it may be possible to see all the sex scenes in Aojashin translated. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Grisaia no Somnium Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for the title since we have Phantom Trigger Volume 8 Steam store was opened and the release date for Somnium 2 was already announced, I decided to combined the words from both so that we have 'Grisaia no Somnium' (ie 'The Gray-colored Dream' because 'Somnium' is the Latin word for 'Dream') as this week VNTS Review, and it should be obvious that it didn't mean that Frontwing develop yet another Grisaia in the middle of (Problematic) programming work for Sharin. For this week I can say that after last week with the number of interesting releases we finally have it calmed down with there's no much interesting thing happened in this week. Of course for some other people the news that we got at this week might be interesting to them seeing that there's still some updates happening, although in the end overall this week is rather plain one to me. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Finally we have the Steam store for Phantom Trigger Volume 8 was opened, and yes it'll be simultaneous release with the version also has English language support. For the reminder the release date is still at February 25th, so you may note the date if one want to get the finale of Phantom Trigger that said will have triple times of text and voiced lines compared to the previous volumes. Hopefully the story would be worth of the bloated text and voiced lines, although seeing that it's the finale perhaps I should expect some actions like in Rakuen (Both has same writer after all). We also have Aojashin approved by Valve, so at least their controversial censorship didn't ended up for nothing like Evenicle 2. As for Somnium 2 (I'll call it as such instead of the official name (nirvanA Initiative)) exact release date, it'll be at June 24th later. For the reminder Somnium 2 will be available for PC and console, so you didn't need to buy the console just to play this. From fan translation we have Harugi was at 48% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 53% edited, Loverable was fully edited and yet the translation was still at 99.94% translated (Yeah I know it's quite confusing), Taimanin Kurenai was at three quarter translated, Eustia was at 94.41% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 70.27% in programming, and we also have Nursery Rhyme was halfway finished with the script insertion. As for Tsukihime Remake update we have Arcueid Day 11 was fully translated with Arcueid Day 10 was at 44% translated, and we also see some updates on Ciel route with Ciel Day 7 was at 5% translated and Ciel Day 8 was at 14% translated. Lastly we have Senmomo was at past a quarter (26.66%) edited with Chapter 2 was at 40.40% edited. That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry if it's been quite short here. See you next week and happy Chinese New Year. PS - Forgot to mention that Shiravune managed to resolve the problem in regard of Nope Nope Nurse, so the VN is now back at Johren and of course it's also released on Steam so you can get the VN from Steam as well. Speaking of Steam, Shiravune also released Kamiyaba on Steam so you can get that on Steam if you prefer to buy Kamiyaba from Steam.1 point -
Christmas When There is No Angel Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Merry Christmas, and as for this week VNTS Review I decided to parodied the old VN from Leaf VN with the name 'December When There is No Angel' because we have a certain well known VN from the same company by changing 'December' into 'Christmas', so we have 'Christmas When There is No Angel' as this week VNTS Review title. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review in which it's my last VNTS Review for 2021, and as for this week I can say that this is quite an interesting one thanks to a certain release. Of course though we also have several good news in that we finally have several VNs finally have the Steam store which is really says a lot considering that recently it's been harder to include the VNs into Steam. Overall this week is better than the last week if I may say something even with less number of releases, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. There's a new company called Rosetta with them about to released their debut VN called Secret Kiss is Sweet and Tender (The English name), and from what I can see it's the GL VN with the premise of a love story between the teacher and the student. Other than that, I know that it'll be has sex scenes seeing that the VAs use their alias instead of the true name and that it'll be released in both of Steam (ie PC) and Switch at February 17th later with Japanese and English language support. Other than the new GL VN, we have Laplacian unfortunately need to delay their Aojashin release with the new estimation that they'll release it at either January or February later, and if anything else at least the one who work on uncensored patch can have more time to uncensoring Aojashin later. Speaking of delay, turned out that we also have Tokyo Onmyouji release was delayed in that the new release month will be at February later. There's a surprising news in regard of Shiravune's new VN, and it's not because the VN in question is Ryuusei World Actor: Bade and Dagger in which it's the fandisc/sequel of Ryuusei (In fact I did say that it's up to them to localized this). The surprising news is somehow Valve decided to accept this, which to say quite an anomaly seeing that they did reject the prequel multiple times. As for the premise, we have Ruka continuing his case from the first game with him will have relation with two more heroines, although if I may say something it's just like Akagoei 2 or Meikyuu in which the second part of the trilogy will be short and has fandisc contents, and yes I assume that Kinugasa will make Ryuusei as trilogy here. Anyway you can play the trial that has been released in the Steam store of Badge and Dagger if you want to see the continuation of first VN. While Shiravune worked hard on Dokyuusei remake so much they're already done with the translation, unfortunately it's still not enough to have it released at this year so Shiravune here did need to delay the release in order to finishing up the remaining work on Doukyuusei remake. We also have two more VNs manage to have Steam store, and those two VNs are Hollow (Steam store page) and Hello Lady (Steam store page) in which Nekonyan need to wait until Valve did finally accept Hello Lady in Steam. As for Hollow, Ninetails already announced the release month for the steam version and it'll be at January later, so the Steam user who want to play more Venus Blood didn't need to wait for long here. We also have several updates from Mangagamer, in which we have both of Erovoice and Uchi no Imouto was in testing so it should be obvious that Mangagamer will release those two VNs first, Raillore was at 64% translated along with 60% edited, and Rance X was at 39% translated. From fan translation, we have Harugi was at 43% edited, Loverable was at 99.27% translated along with 99.1% edited (Which mean that it's really close to finished the translation), Mahoyo was at 85.67% TLC-ed along with have some progress on the editing at 70.75% edited, Gore Screaming Show was past a quarter (27.28%) translated. We also have Tsukihime Remake Part 1 (There's two parts of the remake planned, and right now Type Moon only released one of the two parts of it) translation team released the patch that cover first five days of Arcueid's route and currently the team did worked on day 6 and 7, so if you have Switch and already thinking of playing Tsukihime Remake you can download the patch from the link here. I can only say that good for them they finally have some result on the translation work, so good luck on the translation effort for Tsukihime Remake Part 1. Last but definitely not the least is a certain well known VN from Leaf finally has the full translation patch of it released, and it's obviously White Album 2 (WA2) with said patch has been released back at 22nd. For a bit of history, Leaf did release this in two parts, Introduction and Closing, although structure wise it's like Muv Luv so we'll have three parts of the story with Leaf put Closing and Coda (The latter is the last part of WA2) in one package. For the premise we have Haruki who get close to the popular girl Setsuna and the loner girl Kazusa, although unfortunately three of them does a lot of mistakes in regard of the romance that ultimately cost them everything, and said mistakes keep haunting them even as the three of them enter the adulthood. Go get WA2 if you're understandably been waiting for this because it's been one of the very well received VNs (The link to the patch), and have fun. Lastly since I mention Muv Luv, I'll just say that the score differences between two parts of WA2 is not as extreme as the original Muv Luv and Alternative. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and happy New Year 2022. See you next year. PS - I know that Shiravune did release the demon lord nukige back at 24th in which it would make a nice Christmas gift from them, although to me it's been overshadowed by both of Dokyuusei Remake update and Badge and Dagger here. Well go get the nukige if you interested with it and have fun.1 point -
Venus Blood Temptation Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
As for this week title, since we have Venus Blood Hollow released back at 26th along with Kimagure Temptation release back at last week, I figure that I'll just combined the words from both title so we have 'Venus Blood Temptation' as this week VNTS Review title, which to say might be a fitting title if Ninetails want to make a new Venus Blood game sometimes in the future. Back to the topic, and as for what I can say in regard of this week it would be it wasn't as active as the last week seeing that the companies wasn't as aggressive as the last week when it come to announce new licenses and released the VNs. But still this week is not too bad here, especially when it come to Hollow release and that some companies also already announced the exact release date for the VNs. Overall this week is a good one albeit not as exciting as the last week, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. In regard of the VNs that have the exact release date were announced, what I can say is that the VNs are not as interesting as Hollow. That said, at least artlink really prove that they want to localize all of Hachimitsu Soft VNs, and the next VN that they'd localize is Icing in that I'd say would be a nice title to be localized by artlink. Also yes they already prepared the release date for this, and it'll be at December 3rd later. Almost forget to mention that the premise is still like previous Hachimitsu Soft VNs with the MC will have lovely moment with his new wife, and this time he and his wife are also the rival in patissier work. Other than Icing, we also have Cheery Kiss will released their newest nukige (Maid for Pleasure) at December 10th later, and at the same date we'll also have Humbling of a Holy Maiden released. We also have Tokyo Onmyouji release estimation was announced, and it'll be at December. Lastly just in case you still waiting for Total Eclipse update, there's a new update in which they already completed the translation and currently the editing of it was in progress. Mangagamer finally have the updates, in which the last time they do that is way back at August if I remember right before they got busy with their Virtual Youtuber stuffs. As for the updates, there are four updates with three of those are in regard of the last week announcements, and turned out that those announcements are indeed their secret project. As for the updates, we have 11th project aka Raillore was at 61% translated along with 58% edited, 12th project aka Uuultra C was fully translated and edited, Uchi no Imouto was fully translated and edited as well, and Rance IX was fully edited along with the script insertion currently in progress. For this week fan translation updates, we have Eustia was at 93.69% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 66.43% TLC-ed (Or rather the translator just input the number into Excel spreadsheet because like I say beforehand the TLC of it was already finished), Harugi was at 39% edited, Mahoyo was at 66.32% edited, Onee-chan no Yuwaku was at 60% TLC-ed, and both of Ouka and Asahi routes of Snow were almost finished. Lastly we also have the update in regard of White Album 2 digital novel, and for the info they manage to finished one novel that was focused on Kazusa which mean that they'll finish the second novel which is focused on Setsuna. More importantly though, they'll prepare the patch if the second novel is finished so we can say that White Album 2 full translation patch here is almost close to the release. Last but not the least, we have Ninetails released Venus Blood Hollow (Or if you prefer original name Venus Blood Hypno) back at 26th, So far I like that Ninetails manage to fulfill their promise in regard of Kickstarter very seriously without much fuss, so it should be obvious that if one want to see some Kickstarter drama Ninetails is not the one that can provide it lol. As for the premise, we have Leonhardt who have been in misfortune because his family was perished thanks to the demon, and he'll do anything to take revenge to said demon. Of course the path to that goal won't be easy seeing that the demon is more powerful than him, and obviously he'll need a lot of power. Said power is obviously manifest in form of tentacle, and from there he'll absorb the power and corrupt the powerful female using the tentacle if it mean that he'll get more power. Anyway you can play it by yourself if you want to see more of it (It's gameplay VN for the reminder), and have fun. Note that it should be goes without saying that there'll be a lot of rape using the tentacle, in that it shouldn't be too surprising if you've been playing Frontier in the past. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - Ninetails just launched the Kickstarter for Venus Blood Frontier fandiscs, and as for the goal it's only at 1,200,000 yen because it's not a full length VNs like both of the main game and Hollow with 13 days left. As for the current situation, well let's just say that it's almost funded with gathered fund was already passed 1,100,000 yen.1 point -
Gi(a)rlish Pop Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
As for this week VNTS Review since we have Shiravune announce the exact release date for Ninki Seiyuu and that it's another VN with the focus on the VA (Translation Notes: Seiyuu mean VA), I decided to parodied another anime that depict the behind the scene for seiyuu 'Gi(a)rlish Number' (Coincidentally both Gi(a)rlish Number and Ninki Seiyuu has same situation) in that I changed 'Number' into 'Pop' so we have 'Gi(a)rlish Pop' as this week VNTS Review title (The word 'Pop' is from the localized title of Ninki Seiyuu). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week, well I guess I can say that this week is not too bad with a numerous update from fan translation and the aforementioned announcement from Shiravune along with Mangagamer. So yeah this week is more or less a slightly above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Mangagamer did release Namaiki back at September 30th, so you can get that if you interested with three dark elves sisters are having sex with their illegitimate own brother for the sake of glory and have fun. Of course as per usual Mangagamer reveal their next release, and in this case it's Moonstone VN Love Sweets in that they'll release it at 28th later. By the way with their two releases, I suppose Mangagamer here want to clear their backlog from Otakon first so if my guess right they'll release either Seventh Lair or Erovoice after they released Love Sweets, although of course I might be wrong here. We also have Fault 2 Milestone Below release was apparently delayed, although perhaps they still need some more time to do some finishing touch there before finally ready to release it. Speaking of delay, there's also Zero Chastity in that Fakku delay the release because the problem at their site so hopefully Fakku can fix the site in the near future. This week we also have Cherry Kiss announced their nukige with the title 'Tails and Tities Hot Spring' that will be released at 11th later so you may note the date if you want more nukige from them, especially if you like to have sex with four beast girl at the hot spring. We also have one more release with the title My Dear Frankenstein, and from what I can see it's apparently the adaptation of novel Frankenstein. In regard of that, I can only say you can get that if you interested with it and have fun. Almost forget to note that JAST did plan to release Slow Damage at 2022 beginning at JAST Blue's tweet, so let's see if they can do that later (Although with their current pace I'm sure they can do it). I did forget to mention that Akagoei still has some progress there, so let me mention that the team still do the editing and QA work for all of the other routes beside common and Aya's. We also have update in regard of Onee-chan no Yuuwaku, and currently it's been at 60% translated along with 30% edited. We also finally have Yosuga no Sora translation team started to work on the fandisc of it (Haruka na Sora), and for the current progress so far we have Sora's route (Or rather her after story) at 9% translated. For the rest of the update, we have Chaos Head Noah was at 10.64% edited, Harugi was at 30% edited, Loverable was at 98.29% translated along with 97.79% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was halfway edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at 40% translated, and Senmomo was at 9.67 edited with Chapter 1 was at 57.15% edited. Last but not the least, we have White Album 2 translation team did finish playtesting for two routes (Mari and Setsuna), which mean they finished playtesting the whole Closing Chapter and after that they obviously move on to do playtest on Coda which mean the release time is almost there. For Shiravune's next release it's the afoementioned Ninki Seiyuu, and yes they already announced the exact date of it in which they'll release it at 8th (ie four days later). As for the premise, like I say earlier it's about the behind the scene of VA in that the MC is the part timer worker at seiyuu agency who manage to work in the agency thanks to the MC old friend is seiyuu agency manager, and that our MC will see the work of the female seiyuu who one way or another will have the romance with him. I don't know on how good this VN will be, although if anything else at least the graphic is quite nice and it's good that Shiravune finally manage to release one of CUBE's VNs (I wonder though when they'll finish the promised improved Your Diary translation, but I guess it's their lowest priority so oh well) so I'm content with it for now. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Full Metal Gorilla Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Since we have both of Muramasa and Parquet was released at this week, I decided to make this week VNTS Review title as 'Full Metal Gorilla'. As for the reason 'Full Metal' here is should be obvious in that it's Muramasa translated full title (Full Metal Daemon Muramasa), while for 'Gorilla' it's because we have Touyama Nao voicing Parquet heroine and for the info she also voiced Chitoge at Nisekoi anime in that Chitoge got the nickname 'Gorilla'. As for this week, the most obvious biggest release here would be Muramasa in which it's one of very well received VN that many did wish for it to be translated. Other than Muramasa, we also have Nekonyan released Parquet and Mangagamer did release Uchikano as well, so overall this week is quite a big one if we talk from the number of the release. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. We also have Sayooshi full English translation patch in which it's very surprising because it's from the new translator instead of the old one. The thing is though the translation was quite rough, and that the translator did delete the patch so that there's no way to get Sayooshi in English by using that patch (Although considering that it's release date was at 28th and that it took a day to be deleted safe to say that the patch was already spread through one way or another). Sayooshi itself is a denpa VN that said to have good atmosphere in that it'll featured a teacher MC who suffer some pressure when it come to become a good teacher because he find himself lusting to his female student, and from what I see apparently whether the MC can be said to be sympathetic or not is quite questionable to a degree. Anyway I can only say that you may check Sayooshi translation if you can somehow get it and curious whether the translation is really acceptable or not, although seeing that the translator decided to move on from this perhaps you should read this with caution. Mangagamer did released Uchikano back at 26th, and as usual they announced their next release in which they'll release Namaiki at September 30th later. I can only say it should be obvious that Mangagamer next release is not Sona-Nyl, but at least it should be good VN to look forward if one want to have three siblings of dark elves have sex with the MC who is basically their illegimate brother. Back to Uchikano, the premise of is that we'll have the MC who is the office worker somehow get to live together with his (Female) childhood friend who is about to graduate from the high school, and from there both of MC and his childhood friend will have some romance along with some sex scenes (Duh). Go get Uchikano if you're in the mood of reading some VN that feature single heroine (It seems that recently there's a lot of this kind of VNs getting translated), and have fun. Oh yes there's still no info whether Mangagamer will license the rest of Uchi series or not, but seeing that Sekai manage to get Seiiki trilogy license perhaps it's only matter of time to see Mangagamer license the rest of Uchi series. Speaking of Sekai, this week we also have them give the updates for their project, with the biggest one is that they manage to get Rewrite+ fully translated and edited which make sense seeing that they already set the Steam store for it and that they'll try to release it at Q4 2021 later (I'm not sure that they can do it, but still good luck to them in regard of that). For the rest of the updates, we have Kimagure was at three quarter in QA, Amairo Chocolata 2 was halfway translated, ReLord 3 was at 95% edited, Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was fully edited, Yumeiro was at 12% translated, and Amatsutsumi was at a quarter in QA. Lastly we also have Sekai did update their secret project with the current progress was at 45% translated, and from how fast the translation work on this is perhaps the VN itself would be a short one (It would be nice if it's Nine Shinshou seeing that Palette did goes all out to make it all age in which I assume that they preparing to sell it on Steam). Sayooshi controversy aside, we have several updates from fan translation as well. As for the updates, we have Moe's route of Akagoei was fully translated and therefore the next route that was currently being worked on was Tsuki's route, Loverable was at 96.87% edited, Sumino's route of Snow was fully translated and the translator will translate Ouka's route next, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 35% edited. Other than those updates, we also have ZAP released the interface patch for Amayui Labyrinth Meister back at 20th so you can understand the gameplay of it if you've been wanting to play the newest Eushully's VN there. I know that there's an update in regard of Sukiuso from Kakugo translation, but I'll save the talk of it for next VNTS Review. We have Nekonyan did release Parquet, and as we know it's the very first Yuzusoft all age VN that they made by themselves so obviously you shouldn't worried about the censored sex scenes in case anyone wonder. For the premise we have our MC who is a blank slate that involved in an illegal experiment that uploaded a lot of memories into his brain in order to create a new being. Obviously he has a lot of confusion toward his own identity thanks to the experiment, so he decided to set himself to search his own true self. On his first step, he met two girls (The heroines) who also the victims of the experiment and from there the MC befriended two girls. While the premise sounds serious with uploading memories into brain in order to make a new being and all, in the end it's still Yuzusoft VN so of course you should enjoy the character interaction and comedy (No sex scenes for obvious reason). Go get Parquet if you want to try it or want more Yuzusoft VNs, and have fun. As we know the biggest release at this week is Muramasa in which we finally have JAST released it back at 25th after they teased it since way back at 2012. Muramasa itself is one of very well received VNs that said to have a lot of thought provoking theme, although whether it's true or not is depend on each other (At least late Conjueror think like that). In Muramasa we have Kageaki who is work as policeman that solve the cases, and he has a goal to kill a certain person for the revenge. It should be noted that the arc word of this VN is 'This is not a hero's story' and therefore Kageaki here is more or less like Sayooshi's MC in that whether he's sympathetic or not can be quite questionable to a degree because of his actions to reach the goals can be said as quite awful to say it lightly. Oh and don't forget that there'll be a lot of death, which make sense considering that it share same writer as Hanachirasu that also has a lot of death. Get Muramasa if you're curious on whether the good score is justified or not and want to find out about that, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Sore ga Imouto! Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week I'll tell it at PS later. As for this week, we have a lot of updates seeing that both of Mangagamer and Aksys did announce their new licenses along with both of Nekonyan and Sekai did update some of their VNs. On the other hand though, compared to the last week there's no much releases so I suppose it balanced out. Overall once again this week is quite exciting to a degree because of a number new VNs announcements, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. We have Shiravune released Honey*Honey*Honey at 6th (They're really aggressive when it come to VN releases), and the premise is quite unique with both of male and female must do social distancing thanks to sexual harassment countermeasures regulation that was strictly regulated by the government so much that the date need authorization. Although obviously it's more or less just a setting seeing that we obviously we'll see on how the MC will getting closer to the three heroines, and nothing can stop the blossoming love. I also should take some special note to the art in which it resemble both of Noraneko and Marco, which make sense because both VNs and Honey*Honey*Honey artist are the same (And this time Harukaze didn't interfere with their censorship policy, so you can play it with the sex scenes). Go get the VN if you want more VN with the art that resemble Noraneko, and have fun. Sekai has another updates from their licenses here, although it's limited to their Kickstarter updates. As for the updates, we have Hoshimemo HD build is undergoing QA, Eternal Heart was fully edited and about to do some programming work, Daybreak undergoing another round of QA before going to submit the build to Valve in order for them to review it, and Morning Mist undergoing the first QA. While it's nice that we got some Tokeijikake updates, the waiting between the prequel and sequel is too long that it's possible anyone who've been looking forward to the sequel already lost some interest. In any case, for now I just hope that Sekai can released the rest of Tokeijikake trilogy in the near future. Speaking of Kickstarter, we have Frontwing fixing halfway of the problem that caused the release of Sharin to be delayed, and I should say that I prefer Frontwing to not announce any updates (And no, make it as backer only won't count) until they're really absolutely ready to release it in the first place (Including checking whether the server in the good condition or not before announcing the exact release date). From fan translation we have Chaos Head Noah was almost fully translated with overall was at 99.23% translated with the common route was at 98.93% translated along with 18.79% TLC-ed and 10.35% edited, and it should goes without saying that the team would continue with TLC and editing works. For the other update, we have Harugi was at 21% edited, 86.5% original line of Summer Pockets was reworked, and Taimainin Kurenai was at 20% edited. Cherry Kiss was suddenly announced another nukige (Localized name Genderbend Me! Sayonara Demon Dong), and the premise of the nukige is that the hero somehow ended up with genderbent demon lord who going from beautiful man transformed into beautiful lady. Since this is nukige, obviously the hero will help the demon lord to become male again through a certain mean. This time Cherry Kiss didn't announce the estimation release time, so we should wait for them to announce it later. Aksys did have announce their new VNs, and all of those are otome VNs. As for the new announcements, all of those new VNs will be released in 2022 so you must wait for a while in case you want to play the VN in question, and it's only available on Switch so you must own the console as well if you want to play it. Those VNs are Piofiore Episodio 1926 (The sequel/FD of Piofiore), Lover Pretend, Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau, and Paradigm Paradise (This would be most interesting otome VN announcement to me because it has magical girl as the MC and that the heroes can genderbent into magical girl to help the MC lol). For additional info, Aksys already announced Variable Barricade (By the way Aksys should promote that the MC of this VN was voiced by Hatsune Miku's VA (Fujita Saki) lol) will be released at February 2022 later, and that Aksys will be released Ayakashimori at December 2nd later. For Mangagamer's announcements at Otakon, let's just say that it's not what I expect to be although perhaps I may expect too much here. The announcements are Erovoice (Remind me of Sore ga Seiyuu! anime in that it also deal with the behind the scene for seiyuu, although Erovoice is obviously about eroge seiyuu), Seventh Lair (From Novectale and let's just say that it's quite awkward to see Fata Morgana characters with the story is supposed to be different), Namaiki (It's dark elves nukige), and Love Sweets (I guess Moonstone decided to go back to Mangagamer to localize it after they realized that doing it by themselves is quite difficult for them). Forgot to say that Mangagamer also has some updates, and for the updates we have all four new announcements were fully translated and edited, Rance IX was at 87.5% edited, and they'd announce that they'll release Uchikano at 26th later. For secret project updates, we have 11th project was past halfway for both translation and editing work (53% and 50% respectively) and 12th was fully translated along with three quarter edited, and they'd reveal 6th and 10th projects as Erovoice and Namaiki respectively. Nekonyan have some updates here, and for the updates we have Aoi Tori was at 60% translated, Cafe Stella was at 70% translated and edited, Makeover FD was at 89% translated, Mirai Radio was at 85% edited (Speaking of Laplacian, turned out that there's some group who decided to restore the sex scene for Aojashin overseas releases because Laplacian decided to not translate the sex scenes (The project page) with the current progress was at 5.1% translated), Karichaimashita was at 40% in QA, and their first secret project was at 40% edited. Nekonyan also add two more updates at this morning, and the updates in question are that they already worked on Golden Time (Kirikoi FD for the reminder) with the progress was at 15% translated along with them add one more secret project (Third secret project) with the progress for new secret project was at 30% translated. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - Since I remeber of Sore ga Seiyuu! anime when I see Erovoice and that we have blood related little sister heroine in Love Sweets, I just parodied the Sore ga Seiyuu! by changing 'Seiyuu' into 'Imouto' (Translator's Note: Imouto mean little sister) so we have 'Sore ga Imouto!' as this week VNTS Review.1 point -
Plena Metala Demono Muramasa Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for this week title, since we have JAST finally announced Muramasa exact release date along with Distant Memorajo release in which the latter is the sequel of Amrilato (It's GL VN with learning Esperanto as the premise for the reminder), I decided to use the Esperanto direct translation of Muramasa English title (Full Metal Daemon Muramasa) so we have 'Plena Metala Demono Muramasa' as this week VNTS Review title and obviously this is not Esperanto translated Muramasa review in case you're wonder about it lol. For this week, well JAST obviously has the biggest news with them announced the exact release date for Muramasa. Other than Muramasa release date, we also have Mangagamer released their aforementioned Memorajo and Sekai did have some updates. Overall I can say that this week is quite interesting, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS. Because of technical problem that conveniently happened with the server that handle the distribution of the download file, Frontwing delayed Sharin yet again in order to fix the problem. Frontwing did give the estimation that the problem may be fixed and that they'll finally be able to release it at the middle of this week (Either at tomorrow Wednesday or Thursday), so let's see if they'll manage to do it later. Cherry Kiss did released another nukige back at 16th, and I have no much to say other than have fun play the nukige if you've been interested with it. Speaking of nukige, Fakku apparently already doing some testing for Abaddon and thus they announced the estimation release month in which it'll be at October later. Last but not the least, we have the sequel for Somnium (nirvanA Initiative) in which it'll have new female MC Mizuki who is the previous MC Date stepdaughter involved in murder case investigation. In any case, it'll be available for console (PS4, XBOX One, and Switch) and PC at Spring 2022 (According to the Steam store page) later so you may note the release timeline if you're interested with it. Sekai did release Nekopara Catboy Paradise, and the heroes design did remind some people of Dies Irae which make sense because Dies Irae artist did design the character in Nekopara Catboy Paradise. Go get the VN if you want to play Nekopara with handsome catboy, and have fun. Other than Nekopara Catboy Paradise, we have Karakara 3 was fully edited, Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 was fully translated and currently it's in editing, and lastly we have Sekai did announce the exact release date for 2236 AD prequel at 23rd later. For fan translation updates at this week, we have Watamasu was at 30% in QA and Eustia was at 92.06% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 57.78% TLC-ed. JAST did bring the surprising big news in regard of Muramasa exact release date, and as we know we'll going to have it released at August 24th later. As for a bit of history, back at 2012 there's a rumor that JAST got the license of this with some progress. Of course after some times people forgotten Muramasa's license because back then JAST was quite infamous with the licenses that took years to be released, so naturally people would be skeptical if JAST will be released Muramasa at all. Turned out that JAST keep working on Muramasa here, and now we have JAST give the surprise that they'll release it in the near time. Muramasa itself is said to be Nitroplus's Magnum Opus so obviously it's a very well received VN (Or as people says kamige), and one thing that should be noted that there's no happy ending in regard of this along with the VN itself has a lot of death count so hopefully you'll prepare for that if you play Muramasa later. By the way even with JAST finally manage to release a very big title, I'm still waiting for them to finally release Yamizome Revenger here. Lastly we have Mangagamer released Distant Memorajo, and curiously Mangagamer didn't announce their next release although one can say that right now Mangagamer may preparing something to announce at Otakon virtual later. Back to Memorajo, for the reminder in the prequel (Amrilato) we have our MC Rin trapped in the world with Esperanto as the main language, and Rin was taught Esperanto language by Ruka. As for Memorajo here, we'll going to see Ruka's past along with more romance between Rin and Ruka after they manage to become GL couple. Although not all of content are happy romance though, because the couple will face some more problem that related to the language barrier so it's up to both of Rin and Ruka to overcome it. Anyway get Memorajo if you've been want to play it ever since Amrilato released, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Ritsuko the Apocalypse Maiden Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/05/2017) I decided to make all of the VNTS Review that I couldn't created earlier because the forum was down, or just as Tay said 'FuwApocalypse'. Keep in mind that for this VNTS review it might be disjointed, because I tried to write the info based on the VNTS rather than current updates so I might be wrong on several data here (Also sometimes I attempted to write this based on the day I read VNTS). As for the title for the first post apocalypse VNTS Review, I decided to go with 'Ritsuko the Apocalypse Maiden' (Sorry in regard of this beforehand if you Ritsuko hardcore fans) because back at 5th the forum was already down for a few days, and we had Ritsuko as VNTS image. So I just combined the trope 'Apocalypse Maiden' and Ritsuko for the title, and let's see what I could write in regard of past VNTS. As for Mangagamer, considering that it was already two weeks since their last update it's quite unusual that they didn't had the update for this week. But then again perhaps right now they preparing for the Otakon later, and since they had six titles announcements planned perhaps they need some time to preparing themselves. Well, guess I'm gonna to be looking forward to their Otakon announcements later. I knew that it's quite ironic to said that today after Otakon was already ended days ago, and most importantly their announcements were quite a letdown to me here. No updates from Mangagamer aside, they did open the preorder for Seabed at their site earlier which mean that at least Fruitbat already got the release date and it would be at December 26th later. Speaking about that date, it was had some history with my country (Indonesian) that a big tsunami happened on that day back at 2004, and it's quite ironic that Seabed was had sea in the title (Very obvious). Other than Seabed which for now I was interested with, there's Subahibi kickstarter in which it was quite successful considering that it was almost managed to fully funded within the first days of their Kickstarter (Almost 76,000 funded), and therefore it's almost obviously gonna reach the goal (80,000) in the few days. Speaking about Kickstarter, there's Sakusakura which already set their Kickstarter target at 24,000 with their Prefundia. Considering that the team was the new player for VN localization, perhaps there's bound one or two mistakes from them in regard of Kickstarter but nevertheless good luck to their Kickstarter. For fan translation section, there's some usual update here along with two projects which were completed the translation progress. For the updates, we had Eustia at 18.55% translated, 12.44% edited, and 12.1% TLC-ed; Majokoi was at 91% edited; Kanobito was at 6% translated for the new progress (Turned out that the new translator was TBAC); Pure Pure was at 21.48% translated; Tsukiyori was at 9.8% translated and 5.9% edited; Tsujidou was at 38.06% for overall (Ai's route was past halfway (58.66%) translated; and Loverable was at 83.39% translated (Nanako's was at 76.82% translated) and halfway (50.29%) TLC-ed. For the completed progress there's Clover Days and Sansha Mendan. For Sansha Mendan, well to be honest I didn't care about that but I think it'll be good if Quof want to continue Lovely x Cation because from what I knew the old project was sort of inactive, so hopefully he could managed to completely translated that. Good luck to the new project there, and looking forward to his Lovely x Cation 2 project as well (Quof was also said that he will translated the 2nd title as well). As for Clover Days, actually it should be very good news considering that it was at 100% translated. However, knowing that Astro was quite busy as Sekai translator project perhaps it would be a long time before finally we could see Clover Days release (Not to mention that apparently there's a lot of editing and QC work left), and that's not to mention another reason that perhaps I shouldn't say it here because it's just my speculation here. But regardless of what would happen with Clover Days project in the future, I hope the best for the project and hope we could enjoy the translated version of that sooner or later. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and I'll write my commentary about Otakon here. See you next week.1 point -
Please Pat Me Seriously Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/27/2020) Welcome to my last VNTS Review for 2020, and merry belated Christmas (Also I'm sorry for being late here). As for this week, we have (Redundant) Majikoi release from JAST back at Christmas day and Sekai belated release of Amairo Chocolata English version, so I can say that it's still good to see official company release some VNs for Christmas. Other than the releases from the official, there's two releases from fan translation section with one of the VN has some complication behind the release. Of course we still have some updates, and most of the updates are comes from fan translation section. Overall I can say that this is yet another exciting week, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. I'll tell the title for my last 2020 VNTS Review at PS later. Cherry Kiss did release yet another of their nukige with the title Angel Sex Pet, and they release it back at 24th. No much to say other than it's a nukige about on how the MC turned the angel into his sex slave, and that it's quite old seeing that it's 2009 VN. Go get that if you've been interested with it and have fun. Sekai finally did release Chocolata after they decided to release it in Chinese first, which to say not the most favorable decision for the people who can't read Chinese (I just hope that this and Koiama 2 are the only VNs that Sekai did Chinese language release first). As for Amairo, it's about the MC who can see the animal ear of the cafe workers who turned out to hybrid beast (ie catgirl and doggirl). No much to say other than go get Chocolata if you've been wanting to read it in English, and have fun. We also have PQube announce that they'll release Bustafellows at 2021 later, and it's an otome VN with the premise that the female MC is a journalist that has special power that allow her to leap into the past for a short time by using other people body. No much to say for now other than it's also available for PC as well, so at least it should be good for otome fan who only have PC to play the VN. JAST did release Majikoi back at Christmas, and first of all I would say that it's a redundant release because we already have it translated since back at 2015. That said, perhaps you may try it if you find the older version of Majikoi has inconsistent translation because it's been translated by two different groups in the past, and have fun if you play new version of Majikoi. Also apparently 70% of the voices was cut down because of the VA license which to say is quite expensive seeing that some of Majikoi's VAs are very well known VAs which cause it to be quite costly to license, and with two of the VAs (Tsukada Maasaki and Fujiwara Keiji) are already passed away it mean that JAST need to do some paperwork's to license the voices which to say would take too much effort. Fortunately there's some fans who released the patch that add the voice for JAST version, so that the player who play JAST version of Majikoi didn't need to play partially voiced VN. Almost forget to mention that there's an update in regard of Slow Damage, and currently it's been at 18% translated. There's surprise release of partial patch of Majikoi A-5 in that it cover Margit and Harem's route, although I would say that it's obviously just another Majikoi fandisc and other than first Majikoi all of it's other VNs are fandisc (Yes including S which by the staffs admission they initially planned it as such only to upped it as sequel in the middle of the development). That said if you want to see more Margit, go get A-5 partial patch here and have fun. We also have Taimanin Yukikaze 2 full patch released, in which once again it'll follow Yukikaze's story. As for the premise Yukikaze need to infiltrate a dangerous facility as her mission, and of course it's only inevitable that she'll raped in many ways seeing that it's nukige and all. Go get the patch if you interested with it, and have fun. By the way I would say that Yukikaze's breast here is quite flat compared to many other Black Lilith heroines, so at least she can be nice to look if you've been bored of big breast heroines lol. For the rest of the updates, we got Eustia was at 58.62% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 35.31% TLC-ed, Loverable was at 93.92% edited, Harugi was at almost three quarter (74%) translated with Yuuna's route was past three quarter (79%) translated along with Misaki's route was at 20% translated, and Reflection Blue was at 88.4% edited with Shiki's route was past halfway (59.1%) edited. There's also Pure x Connect update as well, although I'll save it for my next VNTS Review at next year. No much that I can comment in regard of the updates other than it's nice to see some progress in Eustia's TLC, and if you want to help the TLC feel free to contact the editor or the translator (The Reddit thread in regard of that for more info). When it come to GHS (George Henry Shaft), normally what I can see is that the guy himself is quite infamous with his Cross Channel translation that apparently quite bad. His past works are quite random just like Pulltop, in that either of those are redundant (The aforementioned Cross Channel), less known, or have questionable format (Chaos Child Love Chu Chu, in which he released it in form of video). With that resume normally I would dismiss his release, but not this time because turned out his release back at Christmas is Gekkou no Carnevale in which it's one of Nitroplus VN that is quite well known to a degree. As for the premise it's about our MC Romeo who work as taxi driver and ironically he's quite blind when it come to direction, although he has some secret in that he also a werewolf who ran away from the mafia. One day he met a female living doll with the name Anna, and turned out she's quite cheerful. From there both of Romeo and Anna try to live their best while at the same time they need to fend some enemies that come in their way (And naturally it mean that Romeo need to fight). Go get Carnevale patch if you want to try it despite the translator infamy (Personally I would suggest you to try the patch first before dismissed it as badly translated, but to each of their own), and have fun. That's all for my last VNTS Review in 2020 here, and see you next year. PS - For the title, since we have Majikoi released along with Angel Sex Pet, I decided to just parodied the second part of Majikoi full title (Please Love Me Seriously) by changing 'Love' with 'Pat' so that we have 'Please Pat Me Seriously' as this week VNTS Review. Note that I use 'Pat' instead of 'Pet' here, because the former is more polite and that both words sounds similar.1 point -
Turnabout Magical Girl Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late here. As for this week I think I can say that this week is quite an active one with three official releases along with three release date announcements, and of course the updates from both of Sekai and Mangagamer. Overall I did find that the week is quite satisfying, and let's see what I can write about that below. No much update from fan translation, but at least we still have some Alka update. For Alka's update, we have Kud Wafter all age part was at 60.32% translated and Miagete FD was fully translated. Speaking about Miagete FD, the plan would be that they'll finished the editing and if possible release it at the June's end (Still uncertain for now). While once again I prefer to see Miagete got the sex scenes translated first (I'll look forward to Alka's first update in regard of that), at least we'll going to have 18+ version for the FD if Pulltop decided to officially released censored (Duh) Miagete FD later just like back at Konosora FD release earlier. For some other updates, we finally have Oreimo translation group manage to get around the technical issue, the new fragments from Matsuribayashi PS3 version was at 92% translated, and finally we have Eustia reached 90% mark (90.09%) translated with side stories was at 35.68% translated. I guess it's still good that Sol Press still committed to release Irotoridori with their current progress for that was at 95% translated, and let's hope that they'll keep that commitment until the end. From Sekai, we have Kimagure was at 30% translated, Amairo Chocolata was at 85% edited, Hoshimemo FD was at 62% translated, Nine Episode 3 was at 30% translated, Island Diary was at 90% edited, and Nekopara 4 was at halfway translated. We also have Sekai have some problem in regard of Nekogami in which the VN in question was banned from Steam. I guess we can always say that Valve being fickle with their policy, although I also think that it might be the title that cause the ban (And that's all for what I can say here). Let's just hope that Sekai will find a way to get around of Steam's policy, sooner or later. Lastly we have Aristocunts nukige release, so if you like to watch an isekai story where the MC have a lot of sex with the villainess, go get the that. We have Mangagamer released Esclalayer, and as usual they announced their next month release in that turned out to be Macchiato which will be released at July 9th later. For the updates, we have Rance 02 in testing, Sona-Nyl's Refrain was at 35% translated, and Msicus was at 89% translated along with 86% edited. For the secret project, they decided to add one more so currently we have four unrevealed projects from Mangagamer. The roundup for secret projects progress goes like 3rd was at 95% translated along with 91% edited, 4th was at 89% translated along with 87% edited, and 5th was both fully translated and edited. As for Escalayer itself, it's like Haruka in that we'll going to power up the magical girl (The titular Escalayer) through sex, and of course like Haruka the sex can be either romantic or brutal. The premise is like we have our MC Kyouhei who witness his childhood friend Sayuka masturbate in order to transform into Escalayer and fight one of the cadre from the evil organization, and after that Escalayer ran out of power. After that Kyouhei was told to power up Sayuka through sex so that Sayuka can keep fighting, and Kyouhei does so even though he's quite hesitant at first. Go get Escalayer if you interested with it, and have fun. Aniplex have announced their first VNs (ATRI and Adanbana for the reminder) release date and in this case it'll be at Friday (19th) later, so feel free to note the date if you interested with those two. Lastly we finally have Ouka Sabaki (Master Magistrate) full version release, in that it'll cover fourth chapters along with the heroine routes. As for the premise, we'll have our MC as basically the judge who his job is to hold a court and decide the verdict for the defendant, and while at it his task was also including investigate the crime scenes in order to find the proof to prove whether the defendant is really guilt or not. In case the premise remind you of Phoenix Wright, you're not wrong because it really like Phoenix Wright although instead of defense lawyer your role is basically the judge in Edo era, so the time setting is basically the Japan in 18th century (Based on probable real life version of the MC). If you been interested with it ever since the Early Access version was released, go get the VN and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - For this week VNTS review title, seeing that we have both of Ouka Sabaki and Escalayer releases I'll decided to parodied Phoenix Wright with 'Turnabout' title because Ouka Sabaki structure did follow Phoenix Wright so that we have 'Turnabout Magical Girl' as this week title, and for 'Magical Girl' part is simply because of Escalayer release which as we know is the VN where we have sex with the titular magical girl in order to strengthen her.1 point -
Ritter Chronicles Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week I combined 'Ritter' from Eden's Ritter and 'Chronicle' from Evenicle 2 so we have 'Ritter Chronicles' as this week VNTS Review because we have those two announced. Another reason for the title is that I parodied Valkyria Chronicles, in that apparently both that game and Eden's Ritter have the setting place on German although it's very loose at that (In Valkryria Chronicles Germany was supposed to be an imperial). As for this week, what I can say that it's quite an exciting one with all of the announcements and updates that happen here, while at the same time I don't think that the release is not as big as the announcements that we have. In any case, let's see what I can write for this week as well. Back at last Friday we have Sekai give some updates, and for the updates we have Slobbish Princess was at 90% translated (I guess Sekai really aim for simultaneous release), Kimagure was at 60% translated, Nekopara 4 was fully translated along with halfway edited, and Nine Episode 3 was fully translated and edited and currently they started the QA (Hopefully it mean that Sekai will release it at this year). From Sol Press we have Nukitashi was at 26% edited, and Irotoridori was fully edited with the current progress was move into programming (I just hope that Sol Press will find a way to get around FAVORITE pesky engine). From JAST we have two exact release date announcements which obviously very good, and for the releases we have Shoujo Dominance release will be at tomorrow (22nd) and Flowers Autumn release will be at 30th later. What I can say is that JAST should be announce Flowers Winter as the last part of tetralogy if they want a complete release, although when they'll announce it I don't know. Fan Translation For the update of fan translation section, it's in regard of Matsuribayashi in that finally we have the patch that will add both of PS3 graphic and voices to the Steam version of it (The post if you want to download the patch). So if you want to play the original finale of Higurashi and yet you prefer to wait because the graphic is not quite up to nowadays standard, you can play it and have fun. With this now we have the original Higrashi available with voices and PS3 art, and all that left is the side stories which currently being worked on. Speaking about Higurashi side story, currently we have Miotsukushi Ura was at 71% translated. For the next plan, apparently they'll release the patch along with new fragments from PS3 version at September later, so let's wait and see. For the rest of the updates from fan translation, we finally have Majikoi A-4 starting the translation with 8 out of 62 scripts was translated, 14,945 lines of Pure x Connect are translated along with 7,808 lines are edited, Loverable was at 89.13% edited, Taimanin Yukikaze 2 was at 85% translated, and Ginharu was at 65% translated with Yuzuki's route was at 15.94% translated. Lastly, we have surprise update from Harugi in that finally we have some progress on Branch after more than half a year, and with new updates currently we have it was at 56% translated with Branch route was at 20% translated along with some updates on Branch heroine routes as well (Misaki's route was at 4% translated, Sumika's route was at 6% translated, and Yuna's route was at 5% translated). From Alka we have an unfortunate news, in that they need to delay Miagete FD release because they need to resolve some game breaking bug that was apparently happened in Hinami's route. No much to say other hopefully they'll be able to get around this and manage to have this released. We also have Reflection Blue translation was going smoothly with the current progress was already past a quarter (26.9%) translated with Umi's route was fully translated, and they started to work on Miki's route in which currently it's been at 9.4% translated along with they also have some progress with Shizuku's route with the progress was past halfway (54.2%) translated. That's all for fan translation section here. Other We have Trap Legend release, in that it could be summarized as BL VN with the hero dressed in a very cute outfit. Not exactly my interest here, but if you like BL or trap heroes (I prefer trap MC with the heroines) or perhaps both feel free to get the VN and have fun. We have a surprise announcement from Shira VN in that they manage to get a dark nukige from Waffle which as we know is one of Mangagamer's partner, and the dark nukige in question is Eden's Ritter. As for the premise, we have a cowardly priestess who decided to draw out the power in order to fight the evil and the power was supposed to be very strong. Although of course there's a catch to the power, in that the power will cause the priestess to be quite horny the longer she surge with power, and obviously the enemy will took the advantage of it causing the dark sex scenes which to say will be quite a lot. We also have the release date for this, and it'll be at 31st later. Fruitbat announced the VN that was supposed to be the last work that was translated by the late Conjueror, and the VN in question is turned out to be Jiangshi x Daoshi in which it's a doujin VN with the place setting was at China. The premise is gong like we have MC who work as an assassin who already retired, and one day he encountered a man eating monster. Luckily he was saved by a mysterious wandering dao priestess, and from there both of them are supposed to work together in order to facing some unknown hardship. Currently we have the first and second episode available at Steam, and the third episode will be available in the future at this year. For the info, this VN was previously banned in Steam because of some violent scene or something like that. Feel free to try the VN if you interested, and have fun. Other than Waffle, we also have another Mangagamer's partner decided to change the partner in order to release the translated VN by themselves, and the partner in question is Alicesoft. As for release, it's Evenicle 2 in that it's been one of the VN that people been wanted to translate the most (At least if we look at Mangagamer 2019 survey result). Alicesoft also assure us in that while they decided to localize Evenicle 2 by themselves, Mangagamer still responsible for Rance VNs release in the future. What I can say about Evenicle 2 here would be while I did say that we didn't really need for the sequel seeing that Evenicle is complete enough, I'm still interested with it if only for more gameplay VN and more importantly more Alicesoft VNs. The premise is like we have a MC (Alex) who instead aspired to be knight in order to marry his two childhood friendlike Aster, Alex himself is someone who have blessing to be able to cure someone with a deadly disease through his body fluid and decided to start the journey in order to help more people. For the plan, Alicesoft will release the demo that will cover up to Chapter 1 at Steam later in the following weeks, so for now we can only wait in regard of this. That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late here. See you next week.1 point -
The Whimsical Sky Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
For this week title I'd just literally translate 'Kimagure' from Kimagure Temptation and 'Sora' from Yosuga no Sora into 'Whimsical' and 'Sky' respectively then combined both words, so we have 'The Whimsical Sky' as this week VNTS Review title. I did a bit more searching and find out that there's a picture called Whimsical Sky, and of course I wouldn't write my opinion on the picture here. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week I would say that this week is quite calm after a big release (Sakuramori) and several announcements so more or less technically it's an average one. That said, I still like this week though if only because we finally have Yosuga no Sora fully translated after nine years of works along with the first update in Ginharu after three weeks of absences, so overall its not too bad to me here. Anyway let's see what I can write for this week VNTS Review here. This week we have JAST released this nukige in which apparently it's a sequel of a doujin VN, and apparently based on Monster Girl Encyclopedia. While I must admit that it's not too bad here, in the end it's still smaller release from JAST so hopefully they'll be able to up their game to finally released Kimikoi on time (Shouldn't be affected by pandemic as long as they chose to release it in digital version only I think). We also have good news from Frontwing, in that they'll release Yukikoi at 29th later. I wonder if they'll reveal their next project to us later on, in which the next project could be Hatsumira if we look at several info seeing that they said that they've been planned to localized it. From Sekai we finally have Nine Episode 3 release, in which it's at 5% translated. While it's pretty much inevitable that Sekai will get Nine Episode 4 here, I still hoping that Sekai will manage to get it and if possible repeat their achievement to release two episodes in a year like back at 2019 (If only for Tsubasu's art here). By the way Nine Episode 4 was scheduled to be released at 24th later, and hopefully it's the last episode for Nine VN here. For more updates, we have Nekogami back into QA in which it probably mean that Sekai was about to make sure that it's free of bug, and Amairo Chocolata was at 65% translated. In any case, I'll look forward to whatever Sekai will announce in their 'AX from home' here if they want it seeing that usually their bigger announcement was usually happened at AX. As for Mangagamer's update, we have Escalayer finalizing the release build and Rance 01 was finished the testing (Both of those are coincidentally from Alicesoft). They also have one more secret project, in which currently was fully translated and edited along with finishing the image editing for the project. As for the first secret project, currently it was at 70% translated along with 68% edited. From the updates, at least I can estimate that the next release from them here would be Escalayer. While for the second secret project, for now I can only guess that it would be a short VN although of course I might be wrong here. We have Angel Beats was passed 90% mark (93.60%) translated and Miotsukushi Ura was at 24% translated. For more updates, we have both of Yosuga no Sora Motoka's route along with Ginharu Momiji's route were fully translated. The former is more important, because Yosuga no Sora here is a nine years old project and Motoka's route here is the last route to be translated. While normally we should celebrate this occasion because we also have full translation patch available, the patch itself is still not completed just like Rhapsody because the team said that it's still need some editing and QC for the translation to be completed, so I'll just consider it as partial release. Still if you want to play Yosuga no Sora VN after nine years of waiting, feel free to try the patch and have fun. For Ginharu here, we finally have an update after three weeks of absences and with Momiji's route fully translated we have overall Ginharu was at 62.57% translated. While Irru did say that we better not expect the patch in another month, I'm still hoping that we'll get it in June's end at the fastest though so let's just wait and see here. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Making Model Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title it's simply because we have one of heroine (Reina) work as the model in Makeover so I changed word 'Lovers' into 'Model'. For this week it's surely more lively compared to the last week, and the reason is simply because we finally have Nekonyan managed to release Makeover back at 3rd (I've been waiting for this). Other than Makeover, we also have Majikoi A-3 surprise release which should be a good addition for Majikoi's fans even though I think that it's mostly just fandisc because Majikoi itself was already completed ever since back at the original game (There's almost nothing in the plot that could justify the sequel like both of Kajitsu and Utawarerumono, so to me all of Majikoi games after original could be classify as fandiscs). Two releases aside, we also have several updates from both of fan translation and Nekonyan, and also we have a surpising update from Sekai in regard of Rewrite. Let's see what I can write for this week as well here. This week we have a new update for Rewrite in which it's been a while since the last update (If I remember, the last time they give the update is before the Kickstarter), and the progress is quite substantial with the main VN was at 60% retranslated. We also have them finally put the progress for Harvest Festa (ie Rewrite's fandisc), and they already finished halfway of the translation work for that. No much to say other than it good for Rewrite fans to see that finally they can see the progress for the fandisc after Ixrec started the work for this since back at 2014, and that Sekai is still on track for Rewrite here (Hopefully they'll be able to release this by November as promised). Almost forget to note that since it's almost spring, obviously JAST delayed their Sumaga release again and of course we wouldn't know on how long they'll delay it. Guess we have no choice other than more waiting here. Fan Translation For Majikoi A-3, while it's been a good surprise for Majikoi big fan in that they can see more Majikoi, my surprise is that finally we have another translated VN with 'passionate Hitomi Nabatame-voiced love-making' or in another word I'm only interested with the fact that finally we have Nabatame voicing a heroine in translated Majikoi VNs (She's Stacy's VA for the info). Almost forget that it's also contain Tsubame's after story, so good for Tsubame's fans. In the end, I guess I can say that it should be a nice addition for Majikoi's fan so go get A-3 and have fun. As for the continuation of Majikoi A translation, as of now still no plan to translating A-4 but we may have that in the future. From Alka we also have Angel Beat was at 81.84% translated, and more importantly they announced that they'll translate Kud Wafter which as we know is Little Busters fandisc focused on our cute Russian dog-lover Kud. For Kud Wafter, the plan is that Alka will translate both of all age and 18+ version, so you didn't need to worry about the censorship there even though KEY sex scenes is not something that we interested with. Other than Kud Wafter, they also already have plan to translate Reflection Blue (Summer Pockets Updated Re-Release) as well so let's see if they can finished it as well before Visual Arts decided to localized it seeing that they decided to drop it as soon as VA decided to localized it. Almost forgot to note that they still have some technical difficulty for Kud Wafter, which is make sense considering that Kud Wafter using RealLive engine while they already been used to work on Siglus engine that newer KEY VNs used. In any case, good luck to Alka in regard of their Kud Wafter translation. For the roundup of this section, we have Eustia was at 88.77% translated with side route was at 27.77% translated, 11,948 lines of Pure x Connect were translated, Loverable was at 81.64% edited, Yosuga no Sora was almost completed the translation (99%) with Motoka's route was at 93% translated along with 80% edited, and Miotsukushi Ura was at 11% translated. Still no update from Tsurezure in regard of Ginharu, but perhaps we may have some update at next week after Trip take care of his business at 8th tomorrow. That's all for this week fan translation roundup. Nekonyan Normally I would call this section as Other, but since we only have the updates from Nekonyan at this week I'd change the section title to Nekonyan. As for Nekonyan here, other than aforementioned Makeover release we also have their usual monthly update so here's the roundup for that. The roundup goes like we currently have Aokana EXTRA 1 was at 10% translated, IxSheTell was at 65% translated (By the way I know that the pun of the title is 'Aishiteru' which obviously Japanese word for 'I Love You'), Riddle Joker was at 85% translated along with three quarter edited, and Kirikoi was at halfway translated. Once again the release that Nekonyan have here is Makeover, in which it's most interesting release to me here because I've been looking forward to this ever since back when they announced it back at December 2018. For the VN itself, it's about a man named Kazuma (You can rename him by the way) who want to find a love through the normal way in that his family been waiting for their future daughter in law, and by chance he come across five girls including his stepsister that one way or another will become his couple. While granted it sounds cliche, please remember that the developer for Makeover here is Smee, and by that I mean Makeover got some interesting feature in that the comedy is exaggerated and I like it. While granted that the MC is already graduated from university instead of usual high school student is interesting on it's own, my focus here is more on the comedy like back at Fureraba. Get Makeover from one of many shop if you've been understandably interested with it, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Beat Angel Escalayer A La Mode Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and while there's still not much to say at this week as well at least we have some interesting stuffs happen such as Nekonyan opened Steam store page for Senren Banka. Other than that we also have some updates from both of Mangagamer and fan translstion, so overall I think this week is a bit plain here. I'll tell the title at PS later, and let's see what I can write for this week. Fruitbat have a plan to released Chuusotsu 1.5 in which the release date for that will tomorrow, although to me I don't really particularly interested with it though seeing that I'm still don't know much about Chuusotsu to be very blunt (Perhaps it might be a good addition for Chuusotsu's fans). About Senren Banka Steam store page here, two days ago we have Nekonyan open the store for that. While granted we still don't know when Nekonyan will release it seeing that they also plan to release the trial version of that here, at least the time for that is almost close so hopefully we'll have it at this year (Should be possible seeing that we have 11 months left). One more thing here is that it's quite ironic that Sekai did announce Senren Banks first, and yet the one who open the Steam store page for that was Nekonyan. For Mangagamer's updates here, we have Sona-Nyl was at three quarter edited, both of Mugen Renkan and Macchiato was in programing, and both of WanNyan and Escalayer was in testing. Not much to say other than it's good that we can finally see Escalayer in testing (More magical girl VN is always good), so let's see what Mangagamer will announce for their next release after they'll release Magic and Slash later. We finally have Pure Pure was continuing their progress after the translator being busyfor some time, and currently the progress for that was at 93.68% translated (Still a rough one though). Other than that we have 9,634 out of 43,896 lines of Pure x Connect were translated (Almost 10,000 lines translated there), Loverable was at 78.39% edited, Miotsukushi Omote was past 90% mark (92%) translated, Summer Pocket was at 68.40% translated with Kamome's route was fully translated (So we should have Kamome's patch released in the near future), and Eustia was at 87.48% translated (Side route was at 18.77% translated) along with 77.76% edited (Eustia's chapter was past halfway (50.50%) edited). For the last update once again we have Ginharu's update, in which we have Momiji's route was past halfway (51.16%) translated and overall Ginharu was at 53.44% translated. Not much to say other than I like that Tsurezure back to their usual pace at this week. That's all for this week, and sorry if this week is still a short one. See you next week. PS - For the title, I just joined Escalayer's English title (Beat Angel Escslayer) and 'A La Mode' from WanNyan full title so we have 'Beat Angel Escalayer A La Mode' as this week title, which is quite fitting anyway seeing that we have Kira Kira Precure A La Mode and Escalayer here is a magical girl to a degree (Perhaps we may have the sequel with the same name (Beat Angel Escalayer A La Mode) if Alicesoft in the mood for it).1 point -
Rhapsody of a Cherry Blossom Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to my last VNTS Review for 2019, and as for the title I just joined 'Cherry Blossom' from Sakuramori (TL Note: Sakura mean cherry blossom) and 'Rhapsody' from Kami no Rhapsody so we have the title as 'Rhapsody of a Cherry Blossom'. After very active week from the last week, I did find that this week was interesting to a degree here. The reason was not because the official releases like the last week though, but rather it's because we have Rhapsody full text patch release which should be more than enough if one want to play it especially of we know that there's no proper narration patch for Eushully VN out there. I admit that I'm not seeing this coming seeing that I dismissed the chance for Rhapsody's patch release as the Christmas prize, so seeing that it's been released four days after Christmas is a very good surprise to me and therefore defeat my earlier remark here. Other than Rhapsody full text patch release, we also have some updates from both of Mangagamer and fan translation while at the same time we also have new VN announcement. So let's see what I can write at 2019 end here. While I still think that Bullied Bride nukige is a redundant release, I guess it's good for Fakku to be able to release Chii-chan nukige at 2019. Not my choice of Christmas prize though, but then again some people out there may think otherwise so have fun if you like it. Also KEY decided to delay their Summer Pocket because they find some problem in the engine and apparently Valve like to debating with KEY for the age rating, so obviously KEY will delay Summer Pocket release. What I can say for now is that hopefully KEY will find a way to get through of it, especially if we know that Valve like to randomly banned VNs. We also have Aniplex decided to join the VN localization with their two new VN Adabana and ATRI, and they'll release it at the next year. While it's interesting that Sony here joining the VN industry (Aniplex is a part of Sony) especially if we know on how Sony like to tightening the censorship, my concern is more to ATRI though in which it's Makura and Frontwing partnership project which mean that we may have a chance of Sakura no Uta localization however miniscule it is (I know it's just my wishful thinking here). Lastly we have Harukaze (Or rather Tokyotoon) announced that they're release their new VN (Marco and the Galaxy Dragon) in three language simultaneously (Including English obviously) at February 28th later, and apparently the MC will be female so looks like it'll be some sort of GL VN which mean at that date we'll have two GL VNs releases. No much comment other than since Tokyotoon already made this as all age VN, there shouldn't be any controversy in regard of censorship like back when they localized Noraneko duology. No much word for Mangagamer here other than good job with their updates. For the roundup of their last 2019 updates, we have both of Uchikano and Mugen Renkan finished the image editing, Room No.9 beta testing still waiting the build from Japanese developer, Sukehime was in image editing, Sona-Nyl was at 65% edited, Escalayer was about to enter the testing, and Sakuramori was in testing. No much to say other than hopefully Sakuramori testing will going and that they'll release in the near future. From fan translation, other than Rhapsody complete narration patch release we also have several updates. For the updates we have Eustia was at 86.51% translated with side stories was at 12.49% translated, Mitosukushi Omote was at 82% translsted, Majikoi A-3 was finished the translation and the editing work still hasn't started yet, Loverable was at 78.36% translated, 8,869 out of 43,896 lines of Pure x Connect are translated (Good job on that), and Ginharu was at 50.88% translated with Momiji's route was at 37.46% translated (Looks like there'll be no Hinata's patch release for new year prize as well here). Lastly the biggest update for this week should be Rhapsody's full text patch here, in which it's should be help a lot if you want to play Rhapsody in English as soon as possible seeing that usually Eushully's interface patch is enough to understand the gameplay (Translation issue on interface patch aside). The translator still call it as partial patch though, seeing that his team still need to translate some image and that he also said that some of the translation is still unedited. So I'll call the patch as partial patch just like the translator here, and hopefully we can have Rhapsody full patch in the near future. As for Rhapsody itself, it's gameplay are very different from what Eushully made in the past (Especially Kamidori) so it might need some time to get use to the gameplay here. Go get the patch if you've been interested with Eushully VN here, and have fun. That's all for my last VNTS Review at 2019. Happy new year, and see you next year.1 point -
Ghost Beats! Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week title I just combined both of Seven Days and Angel Beats here because both title here are supposed to be our attention at this week. For more elaboration, the 'Ghost' part here is from Seven Days because we'll going to see ghost problem in there while for the 'Beats!' part it should be obvious where it's come from. For my overview on this week, we have two releases (The aforementioned Seven Days and Winter Polaris) and two new projects which should be good if you've been waiting for it. Although my focus is more on Tsurezure did resume their Ginharu work though, so I can say that this week is pretty interesting if only because of Ginharu's update. Anyway let's see what I can write for this week here. Back at 12th we have Sekai suddenly released Winter Polaris, in which it's quite quick for them seeing that they just announced it back at May (To be fair it's only a short VN though). In any case, I didn't know much about this VN other than it'll involved a pandemic that caused people disappeared or something like that. Anyway get the VN from Steam if you curious about this and have fun. There's also an update from Nekonyan in regard of Aokana, in which they already have the the sex scenes for Perfect Edition are already in preparation for the QA and that they'll plan to release it at this month so let's see if they can fulfill the target. We also will have Nekonyan doing their usual updates at the next week, so let's see what they have at their next update later. By the way I'm not expected something like Senren Banka release here, but if they'll fulfill it at the next updates then it'll be a very nice bonus. We have Cherry Kiss announced their redundant nukige (Bullied Bride) release date, and it'll be at 24th later. Not my choice of Christmas prize if I may be blunt here, but at least some people would appreciate the release seeing that it's finally available for legal. We also have Sukera (The company who behind Amrilato) will release their new VN (Oshi no Love yori Koi no Love or OshiLove for short) at February 28th later and unsurprisingly it's another GL VN like Amrilato, but instead the surprising part here would be that it'll be available for simultaneous release for English and Chinese version. For more info, it's also 18+ VN judging from the VA name and that the graphic is looking good, so hopefully they'll be able to release it on time later. About Summer Pockets, apparently Visual Arts already have it in review by Valve so perhaps they'd really want to make the release it real as soon as possible. Whether the review time would be long or not it's up to them, but in any case I can only say that hopefully the review will be going smoothly. We also have news from Alka, in that they decided to translated Angel Beats in which as we know was stuck at halfway translated after Visual Arts issued C&D to the translator group who translated it. I believe they can do it, although whether Visual Arts will handle C&D later is still not known yet. In any case, I'll probably just pass on this seeing that Angel Beats here is still the first part and apparently there'll be more of that, which is impossible as of now seeing that Jun Maeda as the main staff did have severe health issue. Good luck to Alka though for tackling the project later. Almost forget to say that Alka already translated three quarter of Kamome's route, and that they'll try to release Kamome's patch in two or three weeks. From the rest of fan translation, like I say we have a progress from Tsurezure in regard of Ginharu after a few weeks of no update. As for the update, currently we have Momiji's route was at 29% translated and overall was at almost halfway (49.29%) translated. Also Trip did find out that the first part of Momiji's high school arc are sex scenes, so he have some rough time to get through of it. Oh and currently he also still doing some TLC on Hinata's route, so it'll be a while before we can finally have Hinata's patch (Hopefully as either Christmas or New Year prize). For other progress we have Miotsukushi Omote was at 72% translated, Loverable was at 77.03% edited, and Eustia was show a number of progress in which currently it's at 85.65% translated (Side stories was at 6.85% translated) along with almost three quarter (74.36%) edited (Licia's route was fully edited and Eustia's route was past a quarter (25.87%) edited. As for Seven Days, I remember that VN was created from the crowdfund that happened in Japan with the help of Fruitbat. After that, Fruitbat decided to localize it with the late Conjueror as the translator. After the loss, we have Steiner take care of the rest of the untranslated files until it's ready for the release back at 13th. As for the premise, we have the MC who manage to get a cursed Blu Ray disc that spawn a female ghost. While the ghost was easily defeated, there's another problem arise namely that turned out that there's seven ghosts that inhabit the ghost's body, and thus the MC need to calm down all of the ghosts within seven days each in order to allow each ghosrlt to move on. So essentially we'll going to follow on how the MC will try to calm all the ghosts within 49 days, and find some circumstances that surrounds the ghosts. If you interested with it, you can get it from Steam (No need to worry about censorship since Seven Days is the all age VN in the first place) and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Alice and Arisu Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
What I can say for this week? Well if I may be very blunt it's very dry here seeing that we only have few updates from fan translation along with a re-release (Otome VN Taisho Alice, which admittedly very important one seeing that it have controversial first release), so I think there'll be no much to talk at this week and thus my VNTS Review here will be short. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and let's see what I can write for this week, and for the title I'll explain it in more detail at PS later (It's very obvious that the title here is from Taisho Alice VN). As for Taisho Alice, well I did know that it have a lot of messy translation with the infamous one is 'Hiragana and katakana Alice' (To be fair, it's spoken like that in the VN itself, although it's obviously very awkward for non-Japanese though). We also have one VA dubbed the whole VN (Or so that's what I hear), so at least you can relive the nostalgia if you watch the dubbed anime in your childhood (The dub is nice or not is another matter though). In the end, we finally can have a proper translation of Taisho Alice thanks to Verdilish for the translation and JAST for helping with the release procedure, so if you want to play Taisho Alice with good translation then pick the newer version and have fun with it. It's too bad though that it still the first part, but apparently we can finished two route (Red Riding Hood and Cinderella) so perhaps you can play it if you only interested with those two routes. From fan translation, we finally have Shin Koihime Musou was at 32% edited which is quite a big achievements than it sounds seeing that basically they edited few hundred lines periodically in a week, and for the line count currently it's at 34,595 out of 108,888 lines edited. Other than that, we also have Loverable was at 73.58% edited. Last but definitely not the least, we finally have Eustia was at 85.24% translated with Eustia's chapter was fully translated and currently they working on the side stories with the current progress was at 4.233% translated. For the last news we have Nekonyan did release patch 1.1 for Aokana in which it's add the additional feature, namely voice bookmark. While this feature is more or less just interesting but not necessary add on to me, it's still nice that Nekonyan add it to Aokana here so at east Aokana player can save some of their favorite voices if they want to. More importantly, this also shown that Nekonyan here manage to deliver their promise from this Kickstarter update, which is very good. Speaking about Aokana, recently we hear that sprite just sort of revive and currently gathering their employee in order to apparently continuing their stalled EXTRA 2. I don't know if Aokana overseas sales help a lot in regard of their revival or not, but nonetheless congratulation to them for their revival. That's all for this week and sorry if it's quite short at this week. See you next week. PS - For the title, it's simply based on two Alices in Taisho Alice and what they called in the new translation (Alice (The main hero) and Arisu (The female MC)). Or if you want a comparison, basically it's like Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie except with less assassinate each other.1 point -
Bobby Quest 2 Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for this week title I parodied Dragon Quest by changing 'Dragon' to 'Booby' because we have Funbag Fantasy 2 release so we have 'Booby Quest 2'. For more elaboration Funbag is a big breast nukige and as we know it parodied Final Fantasy, so I decided to parodied Dragon Quest in which it's the biggest RPG franchise after Final Fantasy. By the way it's the second time I parodied both of Dragon Quest and Funbag Fantasy here, and the first time was back at 2016 when the first Funbag Fantasy was released. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week while it's more lively because we have three releases, my interest is more leaned toward the updates though (Especially Eustia) because two of the three releases are nukige which to say not my interest here. Let's see what I can write for this week here. From Cherry Kiss we have nukige Nympho Monster Domination in which it'll tell us that the setting is in the another world, so at least we have another isekai nukige translated here. Go get the VN if you interested and have fun. We also learnt that in Sol Press language Nukitashi meant Busy Wizard LN, or in other word they're not surprisingly delayed Nukitashi until further notice. Well it's not surprising to me was because they still at 8% translated when they announced the release date back at AX, and so far the progress was not like they're ready to fulfill the deadline that they set back at 22nd. It's also a shame that Sol Press apparently more focused on LN and forget to announce the delay on Nukitashi here (Unlike Nekonyan in which at least they announced Senren Banka delay), which is too bad here. For now I just hope that Sol Press will improved themselves in regard of marketing, in which apparently it started to get worrying because they make several mistakes. As for Funbag Fantasy 2, for the reminder it's Arunaru who localize the title. Since this is also nukige, i would say that I'm not quite interested with it even with apparently it have some interesting story. You may get that though if you like heroines with very big breast, and have fun if you play it. For other updates, we have Uchikano was fully edited, Sona-Nyl was halfway edited, Mugen Renkan image editing was in progress, the testing for Magic and Slash was finished and currently the release build for that was in finalizing process, Sideboob 2 release build was currently in finalizing process as well, and Sukehime was at 81% edited. For the last progress here we have Mangagamer finished the image editing for Matsuribayashi and currently they do some programming work on that, which mean hopefully they'll be able to release it in near future and finally we can Matsuribayashi being voiced and have PS3 graphic (For the info Matsuribayashi was not available for PS2 version because Alchemist decided to make their unique finale for that version). That's all for Mangagamer's updates here. Other than two nukige that I mentioned earlier, we have Lamunation release in which it's easy to say was the most interesting release to me here. As for the premise, we have Luna who always have fun in a modern looking city along with his twin sister, his childhood friend, and his best friend who is a twin (All characters besides Luna are female for the info). While the writer of Lamunation here (Kepposhi) did have some controversy and that it affected Erogamescape scoring a lot, actually this VN is might be nice if you're in a mood to enjoy some simple VN that have a lot of comedy here. So the best advice that I can say is that would be just enjoy what we have in Lamunation here, and have fun with it because I can see that the writer have a lot of fun to insert many joke and parody (And a lot of meme) there. For additional note here, the price is quite cheap for a medium length VN (At US$ 13 if I remember) so at least you can legally purchase it if you have some money to spare, and not to mention you can have the sex scenes which is always a bonus if we compared it to Noraneko duology. Granted that some featured was cut out because of the price, but at least it's more in regard of technical matter which is fair enough to me here. Almost forget that we also have some updates from Sekai, in which currently they already have Winter Polaris entering QA and set the release month to December (Good luck for that I guess). Other than Winter Polaris we have Sekai waiting Bokukotsu FD build from the developer, and more importantly they already finished the QA for Tokeijikake 2 and currently they fixing the bug that might be left in the engine. In any case, I hope that Sekai's plan to release Tokeijikake 2 in December will be going well. From fan translation, we have Mitosukushi Omote was at 59% translated, Loverable was at 73.13% edited, and Eustia show some nice progress. For more elaboration here currently we have Eustia was at 84.56% translated with Eustia's chapter was almost finished the translation progress (At 99.78% translated), and also it was at 69.76% edited with Licia's chapter was already past 90% mark (94.54%) edited. What I can say is that good job to Eustia's translation team, and hopefully we'll be able to have it released at 2020 later. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Asahi Little Sister Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Don't worry if you're Shokugeki no Souma fans because I wouldn't talk on how messy the final arc of that manga is, but instead I'll talk about this week VNTS Review. Also Asahi here is not refer to that character in Shokugeki no Souma, but instead it's the name of one of the little sister heroine back at Onikiss that was released two weeks ago. So for this week VNTS Review I parodied the old VN Kana Imouto by using the literal translation of the title (Kana Little Sister), and of course I changed 'Kana' into 'Asahi' (If you want to play Asahi Little Sister VN then play Onikiss and enter Asahi's route there). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and like last two consecutive previous weeks this week we also have several releases although to me it's not that interesting though. Other than releases, we also have some updates as usual and more importantly we have Tsurezure resumed their update on Ginharu. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. First of all JAST announced that their Majikoi released was delayed, which honestly is very predictable seeing that it's already past summer and yet there's still no sign for the release. And not to mention that they still need to deal with removal of some voices, so perhaps they did need more time to prepare it (Well Majikoi is a redundant one anyway). Speaking about predictable update, we have Sekai hold Rewrite+ translation for a very obvious reason in that the translator (Conjueror) was passed away and therefore they need to search for the new translator. For other update from Sekai we have Baldr Sky waiting the build from Valve (Can we get the words from Sekai about 18+ contents later?), Nekonin 3 new build was in review by Valve, Bokukotsu FD was fully translated and currently in editing, and finally we have release date for Kemomusu in which it'll at 11th later. From fan translation section, we have another release in which it's another work from Zakamutt. The work in question is Tatakareta Hae or in English it's translated as Like a swatted fly, and the premise is apparently about a politician that have a lot of prejudice towards LGBT who will rape the nurse because he think that the nurse is lesbian (The genre is nukige by the way). What I can say is that I wouldn't play this VN, but if you like to play a nukige and didn't mind about politician colorful rambling towards LGBT then go ahead and try it. For Tsurezure's update after a week of absence, currently we have Ginharu's overall was at 42.34% translated with Hinata's route was at 89.74% translated. For the rest of the update, we have Amagami was at 86.2% edited (Quite a lot of progress there), Miotsukushi Omote was at 29% translated, and Eustia was at 78.09% translated (Eustia's chapter was past halfway (52.90%) translated) along with 59.69% edited and 52.90% TLC-ed. Mangagamer did announce that they'll re-release ef at Steam later (At 17th), which to say was redundant to me here. While granted that it mean that Steam user can finally purchase it more cheaply seeing that the older ef was at US$60 for both parts, it's not quite worth the hype as the special announcement that minori fans wanted seeing that they probably expect some interesting announcement such as the continuation of Supipara (Well I guess there's no much that they can do on Supipara seeing that minori already cease their operation). We also have Ciconia release, in which it have simultaneous release for both of Japanese and English version. While the premise was looks promising with war and all, unfortunately it's still not finished VN because Ryukishi did intend this as the fifth When They Cry series and we knew on how it need eight arcs to complete the stories (ie Higurashi and Umineko). Of course Ciconia here is not an exception seeing that it already confirmed that it'll have three arcs (ie phases) more, and even then it would still mean that there'll be the second half with dour phases (If Ryukishi keep his writing pattern for When They Cry). But if you already interested and want to try it immediately, then go ahead and have fun. We also have Lemnisca announced Dei Gratia Kickstarter, and from the amount that they intended as the base goal (At US$ 57,000) I would say that it would be a very uphill battle seeing that the base goal was quite high for a lesser known doujin VN. Still anything can be happen when it come with Kickstarter, so hopefully Lemnisca will be successful with the Kickstarter and good luck to them. For the release, we have YU-NO remake which to be fair was not quite a redundant one seeing that the new player probably prefer the new graphic and at least it look refreshing. But still I can see on why some people prefer the older graphic, in that it have to do with nostalgia here. So yeah since I prefer old graphic a bit, to me the release is redundant one and also it's censored as well although to be fair it was released at console first though (ie PS4 in which it's Sony's console, and we know on how recently Sony tightening the censorship). But still it have some improvement though, such as the obvious updated graphic and a new hint that will appear in the gameplay although it's more or less still the same though. Anyway you can get YU-NO remake on either Steam or console version (PS4 and Switch), and have fun if you've been playing that. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
KEY All Stars Memories Review Part 1
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Apparently there's another hiatus on VNTS because Decay might be busy there, so as usual I'll write this week VNTS Review without the VNTS. As for the title, seeing that we have Summer Pockets Shiroha's patch released I decided to parodied 'PreCure All Stars Memories' movie into 'KEY All Stars Memories' because we'll going to see some plot that was available in the older KEY VNs at Summer Pockets, and we can treat that as some sort of nostalgia trip in that the aforementioned PreCure movie was also deal with that as well (The movie itself is not quite well written though). For 'Part 1' part here, it's because we only have one route translated out of five routes, so there'll be four parts more in the future. As for this week, other than Shiroha's patch release we have Mangagamer released Minagoroshi along with Majokoi exact release date at Friday later and some updates from Sol Press. Let's see what I can write for this week as well despite the lack of VNTS. For Sol Press updates we have Nukitashi was at 21% translated, Onikiss was in image editing before moving on to QA, Himawari no Kioku was at 26% translated along with 3% edited, Shitsuaru release date was forwarded to October 18th, and Kimiaogi was in QA. Speaking abut Kimiaogi, apparently the no mosaic file that was already prepared was deleted because their hardisk that was stored the file was damaged. While granted it would make some people mad because they can't remove the mosaic on time (Apparently the process to redraw the CG is very expensive), what I can say is that I prefer to ignore mosaic matter as long as the sex scenes is available in the release later so it's meaningless to me here if I'm mad about mosaic. I can understand though that it would be very suck to loss all of the files and that kind of mistake is surprisingly common, so hopefully Sol Press could be better to avoid that kind of mistake in the future. Lastly it's t bad that there's no update from Windmill VN (Especially Witch's Garden), but I guess we need to wait for a while here. As for Aokana Kickstarter, currently the KS manage to pass 80,000 euro mark (Currently at 83,326 euro) funded so obviously they'd pass the stretch goal for Switch port. Although I'm more interested with the additional feature though, in that we finally can have Music Gallery along with the new feature such as Sprite Viewer. Still congratulation to Nekonyan though in that they managed to have Switch port for Aokana here, and I'll look forward to their big announcement later. By the way the next stretch goal is badges and tapestry at 90,000 euro, so at least it's good that there's more collectible item if you interested with Aokana's merchandise (Not me though). We also have Photonflower released today, so go get that if you've been Muv Luv fans and want to see more of the characters life. There's Date A Live VN release as well, although for the release I'll talk about it at next VNTS Review. From Mangagamer we have Minagoroshi release, but before gong into it we have some complicated matter in that Mangagamer have the issue with their payment processor so that we can't buy the VN from their website. More importantly it also delayed Mangagamer next release announcement as well, so it's too bad that we wouldn't know what release that Mangagamer will have for August later (Granted we have Ciconia for that, but it's at September later). For now I just hope that Mangagamer will resolve their payment issue as soon as possible. Back to Minagoroshi, as we know it's the 7th part of Higurashi in that it's the part where the main mystery in Hinamizawa (Higurashi's place setting for the reminder) starting to get dismantled and there's a hope for Keichi's and friend for the happy ending, although looking from the title it's obviously wouldn't end happily (TL Note: Minagoroshi mean massacre or mass killing). Anyway with Minagoroshi done it mean that only a chapter left from original Higurashi (Matsuribayashi), and obviously it mean that there'll be a patch that will add voice and PS3 graphic to Minagoroshi later. From fan translation as usual we have Eustia updates, and at this week it was at 72.87% translated with Eustia's chapter was at 15.11% translated. Other than that, we also have Miotsukushi Omote start the translation progress (Apparently there's a lot to port in regard of Miotsukushi) and currently it's at 1% translated (Yeah they literally just start the translation). For the reminder here, Mitosukushi is the new arc for Higurashi PS2 version and that arc is the alternative ending for Matsuribayashi. The biggest news from fan translation here should be Summer Pockets Shiroha's patch release, in which it did released bot of common and Shiroha's routes (Duh). Of curse we have a lot of progress from Summer Pocket translation, and currently it was at 35.40% with the most progress was at Kamome's route in that it's already reach past a quarter (25.14%) translated so we may have Kamome's patch released next. Anyway get the Shiroha's patch here if you want to try it, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. I'll look forward to the three announcements that Mangagamer will bring at Otakon later.1 point -
Seven Reunions Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (07/13/2019) Good to see that we have another VNTS here (I hope that Decay can keep it up), and as for the drama perhaps it would be better if I'm not delve into it too much. As for this week title, seeing that we have sudden Yotsunoha release in that it'll be dealing with the reunion and some update from Seven Days, I figure that I'll combined both 'reunion' from Yotsunoha and 'seven' from Seven Days (Very obvious) so that we have 'Seven Reunions' as this week VNTS Review. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and like Decay said compared to 28 announcements back at last week this week is more relaxed, although Yotsunoha release made this week is slightly more lively here. We also have Aokana and Seven Days updates along with Mangagamer's updates, so what I can say is that this week is not too bad here and I'm quite content with the overall updates. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. There's one interesting update from JAST in regard of Majikoi, in that apparently they have some problem for the release later. Namely that they need to remove some of the voices in the VN, although at least they left the main casts (Kazama Family) voices intact. While granted that the JList only list 'Kazama Family fully voiced in Japanese' so that I don't know exactly whether the news is true or not (I may miss the announcement back at JAST's panel), the lack of side characters voice here is surely would made their release here is less complete on top of being redundant. The reason for that is simply because you can just play fan translated version, and I'm certain that there's no complain about voice removal back when Majikoi was released at 2015. Anyway to get more detail about this for now we can only wait for JAST's blog, and hopefully we can get the solution about voice problem there. Almost forget that we also have the update from trap VN thanks to Ryechu, and the current translation progress for that was at 87% translated along with 85% edited. From fan translation we have Eustia was at 72.69% translated with Eustia's chapter was pass 10% mark (13.80%) translated, Miotsukushi Omote was at 86% ported to the PC, and we have Rhapsody already have all of the extra contents being translated. For more detail in regard of Rhapsody currently we have ~85% contents of that were already translated, and Chapter 2 is being TLC-ed and in editing along with one third of menu image is already edited. While this is a good milestone for have another Eushully VN being translated, it's still take a lot of time though for the team to do the finishing touch so we don't have any choice here except waiting. Almost forget that we have Asagi Zero was at 85% translated, so more good news for Asagi's fans after Premium Box patch release (Not me though, although I can't help to notice that the female characters there is quite sexy XDD (It's a nukige after all)). Speaking about nukige, we have one release from Cherry Kiss and one announcement from FAKKU. Neither of those were lacking the sex scenes for certain, and the latter was far more disturbing. As for the former, we have our MC goes to the land in which it was ruled by four very big breasted female knight and our MC will have his way to form the harem with the four ruler. You can get the nukige from either at Steam (Perhaps because all of the heroines are adults Valve didn't randomly shot this down) or Cherry Kiss store, and have fun. For the latter, the planned will be at 2020 and the name of the VN is 'Abbadon: Princess of Decay' (I'll just call it Abbadon). As for the premise, we have three male (One of the three is the MC) and three female come to the mansion that was the last place where MC's father visited before disappear, and soon they find some horrifying being. The reason it was disturbing it's because it have BL sex scenes in which it might be not appreciate by most of male here, and not to mention that there's some disturbing sex scenes. While I'll certainly avoid this, I knew that some people may like it so hopefully they can be patient for waiting. As expected Frontwing did have a plan to release Loca Love 2 on Steam, and they already opened the Steam store along with announcing the estimation release month (At August later). Still no word about 18+ patch, but maybe they'll release it at the same time as the main game release time. From Sekai we have Harukuru waiting for Chinese language and the build from the developer, Zombie VN 2 was fully edited and currently in engine work, Kemomusu QA is already started, Nanairo release might be delayed to August, and currently they planning the release date for Majokoi (Hopefully in the very near future). Sekai also already revealed their 4th secret project, in which turned out it was Nekogami so at least it's true that their 4th secret project did have catgirl like one of Sekai's employee said (Currently Nekogami was at 70% translated and edited). For the last updates from Sekai, we have four of their AX announcements (Amatsutsumi, Nine episode 3, Bokukotsu FD, and Love Sweet Garnish 2) are already started the translation and the editing progress. Well good luck with the translation work for all of the announcements, and hopefully the release is in the near future (Especially Amatsutsumi and Nine episode 3). As for Mangagamer's updates, we have yet another new secret project dubbed as 'Secret Project 9' so we have three unrevealed projects from them. While granted we wouldn't know what's the 9th secret project is until Mangagamer announce it, and hopefully it'll be at Otakon later. For the roundup of the secret projects, 8th was at past halfway (55%) edited and 9th was at 77% translated. For the rest of the updates, we have Sukehime was past halfway (60%) translated, 02 was halfway translated (Apparently the new script is longer compared to the older one (Don't ask me why Alicesoft chose to release the new script separately instead of combined it with the new version back at 2010), so perhaps 02 here is not so redundant even though story wise it still is), Sideboob 2 was fully edited, WanNyan was at 60% edited, Imopara 3 was finalizing the release build, Ciconia release was planned to be at September later because of the delay (Originally it'll be release ld at Summer Otakon), Mugen Renkan was at 80% translated along with halfway edited, and finally Haretaka was finalizing the release build. For now I'm just glad that Haretaka is almost ready for the release even though Mangagamer may prioritize Maggot Bait release first, and that's all for Mangagamer updates. In regard of Seven Days update, it was already passed the review although apparently Fruitbat was told by Valve to add mature label on Seven Days for the unknown reason. What I can say is that I would prefer them to add the label in order to have Steam randomly shot down Seven Days, although the decision is still up to Fruitbat though. In any case, hopefully with Seven Days pass Steam review we can expect the release in the near future. For one more KS update, we also have Aokana in which currently they gather 73,170 euro out of 80,000 euro in order to fulfill the 8th stretch goal with two week left. The reason I report the funding again is because the recent update, in that if the funding reach 80,000 euro they'll add Switch port and more importantly they'll add new features that were also available at both of Sanoba and Wagahigh (ie Music Gallery, Sprite Review, and ability to skip the chapter). While the latter two is very nice addition, the first one is very important addition to Aokana because it's initial version didn't have it. Granted that there's some VN that didn't have Music Gallery (Such as Muv Luv Alternative), but I think it should be at least standard feature for any modern VN. I hope that Nekonyan will add the feature if the stretch goal is fulfilled, and once again good luck to Aokana's KS. This week biggest release is obviously Yotsunoha, in which it was released at the same time when Sol Press launch their own store. As for the release time, it should be obvious that they released it back at 13th instead of when they have panel at AX. About the shop itself, I think Sol Press decided to make it after Steam banned Yotsunoha so at least it's good that Sol Press decided that they can't really depend on Steam all the time (They already work together with Denpasoft and Fakku from back at AX). As for Yotsunoha itself, like I said above it's about reunion. Or to be more precise it's about our MC who made a promise at three years ago together with his four female friends for going to met up at a certain place where they bury the time capsule, and that they'll tell what's happening in the years when they separated. Of course seeing that this is an old charage, the MC here will date one of his four childhood friend. Another thing to note that this VN got anime adaptation, so at least Yotsunoha here is quite well known. Once again since Steam banned Yotsunoha here, you can get the VN legally at Sol Press shop itself and the 18+ patch is available for free at Panty Press. Have fun for playing Yotsunoha if you've been interested with since back at announcement. That's all for this week VNTS Review, albeit very belated one. See you next week.1 point -
The Coach, the Goat, and Matters of the Censorship Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
For the title I'd combined both of Aokana and Noraneko because we have a big news in regard of those two, and the title here is a derivative of Noraneko localized title (The Princess, the Stray Cat, and Matters of the Hearts). As for 'The Coach' part it should be obvious that it's from Aokana in which it's our Aokana MC (Masaya, which have same name as Evangile's MC) role, while for 'Matters of the Censorship' part it's because Harukaze here have a brilliant idea to release Switch version that was obviously censored for overseas instead of regular version (With 18+ contents obviously). As for 'Goat' part, well it's because we have Noraneko episode 6 in that we have a real life goat instead of usual animation, and I'm not making this up here. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week other than aforementioned big news we have some updates from Sekai and Mangagmer here, so let's see what I can write for this week as well. For the roundup of fan translation, we have Eustia was at 71.55% translated (Eustia's arc was at 5.53% translated) along with past halfway edited (At 51.97% edited the all of the chapters up to Irene's was already edited), 4,379 lines from Pure x Connect were edited, and Summer Pocket was at 30.30% translated. We also have one release, and apparently it's a VN with shota MC that was about to experience a summer camp together with some elementary students female. Said camp was have some activity that was surely involved with some reproduction process, and one of the tags at VNDB is nukige. Do the math. While I'm not quite fond to that kind of VN (And it can be very disturbing for some people), it's not like I can forbid someone to liking a particular stuff anyway because each people did have their own interest (Although I can't help to notice that the translator is like shota and loli VN though). The big release for this week is Noraneko, although ironically it's been censored here seeing that for some reason Harukaze thought that the overseas would easily accepted Switch version without the option for seeing 18 scenes. While granted there's some reason such as license and stuff like Phlebas said, it's not like it would be hard for Harukaze to handle the license seeing that there's a lot of release like that (The exception are Pulltop's releases obviously). The only reason that I can think of is that they afraid that Steam would randomly banned this if they localized 18+ scenes as well. As for the cut, it's pretty big seeing that apparently ~30-40% scripts of Noraneko are sex scenes, and unless the change is worth the cut then it mean that it's censorship is worse compared to Miagete (For comparison ~17% of Miagete's scripts did cut to get rid of the sex scenes, and it's already big enough). As for Noraneko itself I think the synopsis at the Steam store is enough for the premise so I'll just say that it's too bad that Noraneko is censored, even though I know that three of the main heroines seiyuu (Kirihana, Sendai, and Kotori Yuuka) will appear at Senren Banka later (Obviously will be not censored). From Sekai we have a lot of their project was at preparation stage, so it's hard to describe in general here. The only release that they have is that they'd already release Ninja Girl back at 24th (I'll try to talk about it at the next VNTS Review), and that that they already almost ready to release Nanairo (Hopefully by July end). For the roundup we have Nine episode 2 was started the QA, Kemomusu do the build check before QA, Nekonin 3 was awaiting build from the developer, and Sanarara was about to start the editing. We also have Bell Chime otome VN spin-off release, in that if we remember the main game of that was released by Sekai (This time the developer decided to release it without Sekai's help). As for the premise, it'll tell us the story of our female MC after she finished the adventure that she was gone through together with five poor men back at the main game, and that we'll going to see her ordinary life here. While granted that the heroes are still not as handsome as usual otome VN heroes, at least it have sex scenes like the main game (It's still rare to see otome VN with sex scenes being translated here). As for Mangagamer's update, this week most of those was focused on the secret projects because almost all of their revealed projects are either already finished the testing, in testing, or finalizing the build for the release. But before going to the update, we have surprise news from them in that they managed to have Steam allow Amrilato to be sold at their store which obviously mean that the Steam user can buy Amrilato directly from Steam. I don't really know though who or what pressured Valve to allow Steam change their policy in regard of Amrilato quickly (It need more than four months for HGB to be available at Steam store), but I guess it's good for now that at least Valve is a bit willing to hearing. As for the update roundups, we have Maggot Bait finalizing the release build, WanNyan was at 55% edited, Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was in setting, and both of Imopara 3 and Haretaka finished the testing. For the secret projects, we have 6th was at 76% translated and 36%edited, 7th was fully translated and 92% edited, and 8th was fully translated along with 40% edited. Out of all updates, I'm just glad to see that Haretaka here finished the testing. Also apparently Managamer will bring one announcement to AX, although I wonder though if they'll really only bring one. To me the biggest news to me is not Noraneko release because it's censored, but rather Aokana's physical copy KS. As fr the KS itself like Nekonyan said beforehand the base goal itself was quite low, although to tell the truth I didn't expect the base goal was at 10,000 euro though (I expect at least around 20,000 euro just like usual Sekai physical copy KS). In any case, the KS was very successful in less than a hour after the launch which to say was quite a record. As for now, currently it managed to gather at around 58,000 euro and already managed to reach the third stretch goal, and perhaps they'll be able to gather 70,000 euro considering that it's still 35 days left. In any case I just hope that Nekonyan will be able to deliver the KS goods (I'm not quite interested with the prize), and that they'll deliver the download version at their promised time (Around August end). Almost forget that I like Nekonyan also provided Aokana OST, seeing that sprite didn't manage to add the Music Collection at the VN itself. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Snow Carnival Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I decided to combined both of Pure x Connect opening song title (Snow x Connect) with Makeover opening song title (Girl's Carnival) because we have the progress from both of those two Smee's VNs (Pure x Connect prologue patch release and the increase in Makeover translation progress), so we have 'Snow Carnival'. Apparently there's a short movie with the same title that was produced back at 1949 according to IMDb and that the movie itself promoted the ski resort, but of course I won't review that here because I can't find the movie (It's inevitable I suppose). As for this week, after quite dry last week surprisingly we see a lot of updates from both of official and fan translation sections, so I would say that we have a good week here. Let's see what I an write for this week as well. For the first update we have our Steam apparently having the bad mood so that they decided to ban Yotsunoha, which obviously hinder Sol Press attempt to release it. We still didn't know though what's the next step that Sol Press will take to circumvent it, but hopefully they'll be able to release Yotsunoha in the future even if Steam wouldn't lift their ban on that VN (I guess Sol Press can try to sell it in the other shops just like Nekonyan when HGB was banned by Steam). We also have some progress from Sekai as well, in which it's quite surprising although too bad though it's not in regard of either Majokoi, Daybreak, or Nanairo. But instead the progress that we have are Rewrite+ was at 67% translated and Nekonin 3 was at 71% translated, which to say was not kind of projects that I look closely. If anything, at least they started to give the update more frequently (Biweekly just like Mangagamer), so at least it's good for them. Other than that, we also have Meru indirectly said that Flowers Autumn translation progress was already past halfway mark at her Curious Cat here, so at least there's some work on Flowers there. From Mangagamer, after Amrilato we have three more projects that were finalizing the release build which mean that we have three more VNs almost ready for the release, although unfortunately Haretaka was still in beta though. As for the projects that are in finalizing progress, they are Hashihime, Amatarasu, and Minagoroshi (At least we can enjoy Higurashi penultimate arc with voices in the near future). Other than those three, we have Sengoku Rance finished the testing (Whatever), Sona-Nyl was finished the translation progress, image editing for Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was in progress, NyanCafe was both fully translated and edited, WanNyan was at 40% edited, and Sukehime was past halfway (54%) edited. We also have one more secret project from Mangagamer, so excluding the revealed projects we currently have six unknown projects from them. For the updates of secret projects, we have 1st was at 88% edited, 6th was at 66% translated along with 9% edited, 7th was at 66% translated along with 65% edited, and the newest one (8th) was at 48% translated along with 10% edited. They also will have Anime Central announcement at 19th later, in which it might be one of secret projects (I wouldn't expect well known title though). That's all for Mangagamer section here. Other We have Hemoimo release, in which despite questionable premise and title it was translated by one of well known translator (Cafe). As for the premise itself, we have cute little sister that was voiced by Akiko Hana (Yuzuyu from Fureraba, Kath from Evenicle, Alice from Newton VN, R-Ne from Corona Blossom) suffered hemorrhoid, and somehow she decided to tell the MC about her suffering. Of course the MC as a responsible man decided to help his little sister and as time goes on both of the MC and his little sister getting entangled in incest relationship. Other than that, I can only say it's that we finally can have the release after it did have a lot of hardship at the beginnng seeing that it was banned at Steam (For a very obvious reason) and almost cancelled. Anyway go get the VN if you in need of some short nukige, and have fun. Speaking abut nukige, we have Cherry Kiss announced two nukige (Aunt cousin nukige and isekai nukige) in which the MC will have sex with his aunt and tsundere cousin for the former, while for the latter nukige we'll going to have the MC raping the female knights who each of then rule a territory. Needless to say I'll pass those two announcements. From Nekonyan, we have several good updates. First of all, we'll going to have Sukiren released at 31st later so at least it help alleviate Nekonyan's burden a bit, and of curse this obviously the good news for anyone else who've been looking forward to Sukiren since it's announced back at a year ago. Fr the updates, we have Hello Lady started the translation progress and currently going nicely, Senren Banka was at 20% translated and edited, Makeover was at a quarter translated and edited, and last but not the least we have Aokana was almost finished the translation progress at 90% translated while at the same time was at halfway edited. From the look of it, I think it might be possible if Nekonyan released Aokana at this year although for now it's still too early to tell though. In any case, I hope that they keep the good work there. Fan Translation For fan translation roundup, we have Summer Pocket was at 27.62% translated, Watamasu was at 78% translated, and Loverable was at 64.51% translated. We also have Eusta was currently at 70.03% translated with Licia's arc was almost finished at 95.97% translated, and more importantly we have Eris's patch released in which it'd covered ~36% part of the whole Eustia. While I'm still prefer the full patch for the obvious reason here, at least we'd getting closer to breaking Eustia's curse in which it's been infamous because back at 2012 we have Takajun of Yandere translated it and finally managed to release Fione's patch, only to have his effort fall short because there's no continuation to the older project (Which is understandable seeing that Takajun did have 12-13 hours of works). In any case with Daitoshokan and Yoake available in English, if Eustia is fully translated then we'll going to have three August's VNs translated in that it'll break the famed August's curse even further. Well good luck to Eustia's translation team to finish the rest, and you can get Eris's patch here if you want to try it. Like I say at the beginning, we have Pure x Connect prologue patch released. As for the patch, it's obviously only covered the prologue so you still need to wait if you want to play it fully in English (Duh). For the team's next plan, they'll release the common route patch next in which it'll have at least 13,000 lines translated, although it might take a while though. As for the progress for Pure x Connect itself, currently we have 7,205 lines translated with 3,560 lines edited (Out of 43,896 lines). You can get the prologue patch for Pure x Connect here if you want to try it, and have fun. For the last update, we also have Rhapsody's update in which the translator managed to translate hot spring event from the first append disk, while at the same time there's some other works going at the same time (Such as translating character profile, working on image menu, and TLC-ing Chapter 2. I guess that's all for this week, and see you next week.1 point -
Mermaid Time Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Foreword - Since we still didn't have admin Tay fix the main page for VNTS and thus Decay can't make VNTS here, I decided to omit the foreword here starting from the next week. Anyway here's this week VNTS Review and I hope that you'll enjoy it. Seeing that we finally got 'My GF is Mermaid' released for Switch by Sekai, I decided to adapt Assassination Classroom chapter titling (XXX Time) by adding word 'Mermaid' so we have 'Mermaid Time' as this week title. The reason is simple, because in that VN we have two Assassination Classroom seiyuu (Fuchigami Mai (Nagisa) and Suzaki Aya (Kayano)) voicing two of three heroines from that VN, and to be honest the seiyuu themselves is more interesting than the VN itself mainly because those two seiyuu did play two prominent characters whose been shipped by a lot of fans. Especially after when Nagisa (A male by the way) did French kiss to crazed Kayano 15 times, and after that Kayano is been embarrassed whenever she called that moment. In the end I can only say that I'd more interested with the seiyuu instead of the story here, but if you find the story is interesting then good for you. Assassination Classroom rambling aside, welcome to this week VNTS Review and other than My GF is Mermaid release we have a lot of releases from official companies. We also have some updates from both of Nekonyan and fan translation, and this week we have another surprise in which JAST did have another surprise announcements in that they announce a monster girl VN. I'll appreciate them more if they announce well known VN and release it quickly, but at least it's good that they started to getting more active. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. This week we have Eustia was at 63.15% translated along with 45.07% TLC-ed, Harugi's Branch was at 55% translated, Tokihogushi was at 35% translated, and interface patch for Fuukan no Grasesta was released in here so you can try it (Personally I would be more happy if they managed to release full patch here). Other than those updates, we also have Tsurezure did their usual updates with Sora's route was fully translated and overall Hoshiori was at 87.23% translated (Irru also said that he might be able to release Sora's patch by the weekend). That's all for fan translation section here. As for Konosora FD, well congratulation for Pulltop I guess now that they manage to release it on Steam after they managed to solve the problem with Steam, although in the end it's obviously still censored though and instead of porting available all age version they decided to censored PC version, which is quite questionable seeing that the all age version that they'd have is having additional contents to cover the lack of sex scenes (Well go get Konosora FD if you didn't mind the censorship and have fun). As for Kaziklu Bey, what I can comment is that Mamiko Noto tone as Claudia was surely quite familiar considering that I started to recognize her tone, although too bad though that Light couldn't recast Akira Ishida as Wilhelm here seeing that Wilhem and Claudia romance is quite interesting and surely would make Fairy Tail fan very happy. Even without Akira Ishida as Wilhelm, I still recommend this VN if you a hardcore fans of Dies Irae because it did explore more on Wilhelm's life, especially if we knew that Wilhelm here is a crazy vampire back at Dies Irae and therefore it's interesting to see of how Wilhelm manage to have a normal relationship there. From Nekonyan we have Sukiren was fully translated and 60% edited, while at the same time we have Aokana was at 70% translated along with 30% edited. From Sol Press we have Kimiaogi was at 80% edited, and Onikiss was at 56% translated. For Sol Press release, we have Hitotsuba in which I did say that the costumes was not as interesting as Aokana because Aokana's costumes did have magical girl feel. That said, it's still interesting on it's own though mainly because people did dubbed it as the second Aokana in which it did have the setting that people did fight using the fighter plane, and it did have competition. As for the story beginning, it's resembled Konosora in which the MC did move to the dorm that was managed by his grandmom who is well known dogfight champion, and in there he'll live with other four girls who have their own quirk. From there, MC and the four girls formed the dogfight team and compete with the other team so you can expect some competition there. Have fun with the VN if you already got it, and if anything else this VN is better compared to Konosora FD because it didn't have censorship. I think that's all for this week, and see you next week.1 point -
LoveKami -Trap Goddess- Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Foreword - No VNTS, so here's my VNTS Review for this week even though I'm quite late for this. I hope that you'll enjoy it. Before going to the title, let me comment that we have so many trap VN announcements at this week (Only two though). As for the title, since we'll going to have Konosora FD release tomorrow (At 27th) I decide to parodied one of Pulltop title (LoveKami) by adding another new 'release' for them, and the new release here should be 'Trap Goddess' in which it's also the premise from one of the trap VNs (Will be released at March 29th later if you interested). Other than trap VN, we also have Steins Gate Elite release in which it's a redundant one to me unless you want to play other routes with the anime graphic, some updates from Sekai, and finally some updates from Mangagamer in which we can hope that they could going back into their biweekly updates period. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. Like I said beforehand, we have two trap VN announcements and turned out that the other trap VN is published by JAST. While normally we should be happy that finally JAST being actively announce something outside AX twice for a month, unfortunately I can't say that I took interest into their announcements because their Lilium release is a redundant one and now we have trap VN announcement here. I know that some people might be interested with this and want to play it, but unfortunately it's not my interest here so I'll just say that it's good if you've took the interest to trap VNs (JAST will try to release it at this year summer later). Speaking about JAST, if we remember in the past they'd release Steins Gate and this time Spike Chunsoft did released Steins Gate Elite back at 19th in which it could be summarized as '5pb attempt to milk the series by rereleasing the full game by using anime graphic', and therefore it could be categorized as another redundant release unless you really like the anime graphic (Which to be fair is quite good thanks to White Fox's effort). Well if you've been looking forward to play non-adapted route with anime graphic (Such as Luka's and Faris's), then go get the VN from the Steam store here and have fun. From Sekai we have Eternal Heart was at 35% translated and Hoshimemo was being retranslated, and to be honest I could less care to those two seeing that the latter is redundant to me in the first place and the former is the Hoshimemo's fandisc (It should be good though if you want more Hoshimemo and apparently it's also categorized as Hoshimemo's sequel like Irotoridori). We also have Tokyo Chronos exact release date, and the date will be at March 20th later so if you've been looking forward to that just keep the note on the date. For the good news from Sekai, we finally have the update from Daybreak in which it's been fully edited and they already worked on the engine. Other than Daybreak, we also have the good news from Morning Mist as well in which it's been fully translated and edited, and they'll start the engine work after the work on Daybreak is done. Even though we still don't know when Sekai will release Daybreak, at least they showed the progress of that which is good enough to me for now. For the note here, both of Daybreak and Morning Mist are the second and third part of Tokeijikake trilogy. Oh and we also already have Nine Chapter 2 was fully translated and edited, and right now they've been waiting the build from the developer. That's all from Sekai here. For Mangagamer while some of their updates were involving going beta, it's still nice to know that some of their work is progressing and that some of those were already almost ready for the release (Damekoi and Trinoline, in which they've waiting for the release material from the developer and already finished the testing). As for the updates, we have Sona-Nyl was at 86% translated, Sukehime was at 30% edited, Escalayer was at 91% edited, and right now they've been working on Room No.9 unit assets. We also have the updates from their secret projects (1st was fully translated and 46% edited, 2nd was at 90% translated and 86% edited), and they decided to add another one here (Will be dubbed as the 3rd secret project, and currently it was at 78% translated along with 12% edited). For the rest of the updates, we have Amrilato, Minagoroshi, and Hashihime were about to entering the testing while Amatarasu here is almost finish the testing. For last update, we finally have Sengoku Rance in testing so it should be good news for anyone else who want Mangagamer version, although it's redundant to me anyway like I said several times. From Irotoridori KS, currently they gather 46,421 out of 85,000 which is quite surprising if we keep following the KS with 8 days left, so perhaps we'll going to have another surprise again later. Speaking about surprise, we have Hitotsuba new release date in which it'll be at 28th later so obviously it mean that Sol Press did took care of the engine problem. We also have Maria sidestories was fully translated after some times of no update, and lastly we have Lamunation was fully translated so hopefully we can have it released at this year. We also have Eustia was at 63.15% translated along with 47.87% edited, Harugi's overall was at 57% translated with Branch was past halfway (52%) translated, Watamasu was at 45% translated, and Tokihogushi was at 28% translated. From Tsurezure, currently Sora's route was at 71.43% translated with overall Hoshiori was past 80% mark (82.55%) translated, in which Irru did say that it might be possible to get Sora's patch within two weeks also he also said that he still isn't sure though so perhaps the plan may be changed in the future. I think that's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Star-Weaving Future Dream Arc Chapter 6: Photo Kano
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
As for this week title once again we have 'Star-Weaving Future Dream Arc' here because this week we have Hoshiori Sora's patch released back at 5th which is quite fast, and also we have Natsuki's route update which mean the 'arc' here was about to reach the finale because Natsuki's route is the last route that Tsurezure translated. As for Photo Kano the reason is simply because that VN (Adapted into the anime as well) did have a lot of photography with the MC was a member of photography club, and that Natsuki is quite passionate in photography although she's more like school newspaper club member (I knew her goal is to make year book) in common route though. Other than Sora's route patch release, this week we also have the update from Mangagamer and a miracle that was happening in Irotoridori kickstarter. Let's see what I can write for this week as well, and welcome to this week VNTS Review as usual. From Irotoridori KS, I must admit that it's quite worrying when it's about to reach the last days seeing that it's still slightly more than half. But when the KS was almost close suddenly there's a lot of funding happening to the KS at fast rate, so we have Irotoridori KS successful with the fund barely reach the goal (At 85,359) in which it managed to hit the goal a few hour before the closing. As for the future title, since obviously the stretch goal was unreachable Sol Press did state that they'll see the way to funding both of Hikari and Akai when they finished with Irotoridori, and it could take a long time there. So in case you want the whole trilogy to be translated, what I can say is that we need to wait for quite a while here. Once again I'm content enough with the first part managed to be funded seeing that Hikari was classified as fandiscs, although getting the rest of the trilogy would be very necessity for Irotoridori hardcore fans though. I like that Mangagamer managed to have their bi-weekly update again, so let me tried to round it up here. For their secret project, they decided to add one more so we have four secret projects to track from Mangagamer and that we don't know whether it'll be interesting title or just a short nukige although for now my guess is leaned toward short nukige though (I might be wrong on this, seeing that back at 2017 some of the secret projects turned out to be interesting title). For secret project roundup, we have 1st was at 51% edited, 2nd was at 93% translated along with 89% edited, 3rd was at 86% translated along with 21% edited, and 4th was at 69% translated. For their other project, we have Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was at 77% edited, Escalayer was fully edited, Sona-Nyl was at 89% translated, both of Amrilato and Hashihime entering the tesing, and Amatarasu was finished the testing. Other than those updates, we also have one nukige release from them so if you like nukige then it should be interesting to try (At least it got Kawashima Rino as seiyuu if you like her voice). From fan translation, we have Watamasu was almost halfway (At 49%) translated, Harugi's Branch was at 56% translated, Tokihogushi was at 43% edited, 5,367 lines from Pure x Connect were translated along with 2,120 lines of that were edited, and we have Tsurezure did released Sora's patch in which she's sort of like Hoshiori's main girl simply because her route did carry the star theme that was quite prevalent on the title (You can get the patch here if you've been interested with her since Hoshiori project been announced). Of course other than Sora's patch release, we already have the progress for Natsuki's route and currently Natsuki's route was at one third (33.44%) translated and overall Hoshiori was already reached 90% (91.50%) translated so we should get Natsuki's patch (Hoshiori full patch for the reminder) by the time Easter come later (Should make it a good Easter gift). I think that's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry for being a short one here. See you next week.1 point -
Love Live Sunrider Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Foreword - No VNTS yet again, so perhaps both of admin Tay and Decay were really swamped by the real life matter - what I know is that if one of them want to make VNTS, there'll be a lot of updates to be catch up. So once again I decided to made another VNTS Review here, I hope you'll enjoy this time review, albeit by the time I wrote this it's been already in the middle of the week. For this week title, I decided to just use very obvious parody of Love Live, or more specifically Love Live Sunshine because we have OELVN Shining Song Starnova release. Also if you noticed the title here, I use 'Sunrider' to change the 'Sunshine' part because from what I saw at the LP of Starnova I felt that the soundtrack when the rival idol group QUASAR have appear was more fitting to be a leitmotif of evil space empire, and we surely know that Sunrider here did have some of that because it was space opera VN - for the reminder here, Starnova was came from the group with name Love in Space who also the one behind Sunrider. Another reason of why I parodies Love Live Sunshine was because both of Starnova and Love Live here was focused on the idol group, although Starnova did only have seven members though compared to nine members of Aquors (Love Live Sunshine idol group). After my rambling on Starnova and Aquors comparison here, welcome to this week VNTS Review in which to be honest this week was quite bluntly a dry one other than the controversy like Your Diary+. But still even though it's been a dry week, at least we still have some updates here just like usual weeks. Other than the updates, we have Sekai managed to have two releases along with Frontwing released Phantom Trigger Volume 5. So let's see what I can write for this week as well. From fan translation here, no much notable update here but at least we still have both of Harugi and Eustia ongoing. For Eustia right now the overall translation progress was at 49.35% translated along with 38.63% edited, while for Harugi we have both of Tonoko's route and Branch was at 11% translated (The latter also was at 5% edited) along with Main was at 6% edited. Other than those two, we have Witch Garden was at 47% translated, Loverable was at 81.74% TLC-ed, and we also have Taraimawashi patch (One of new arc from Higurashi) released here - of course it mean that Taraimawashi had already been completely translated and edited. That's all for fan translation section here. Apparently in regard of Schatten we'd have JAST somehow managed to keep their censorship at that VN remained in secret, at least until 4chan found out about that. While to tell the truth the censorship was only censored one scenes which admittedly could be quite problematic in some countries - it was a backstory for one of the heroine who got raped in her childhood, it still would be better though if JAST tell the people about the censorship before the release. In the end, I guess the damage was already done and apparently the blunder this time was so severe that even some people who insisted to support JAST despite the shortcomings were got disappointed, and so far there's no response from JAST other than they apologized for the mess. To close JAST section here with the positive news, according to Kimikoi translator tweet here she was already finished with the translation (Along with the retranslation of Sweet Pool), although as for the release timeline we surely couldn't know about that yet. Other No much comment that I can comment on Your Diary+ other than it will be released at 10th later on Steam, and the translation itself is quite clearly messed up. Although my concern was more in regard of the H scenes though, in which it's a shame that Hobibox decided to port no H version to Steam. Granted that Steam was recently been tightening the control in regard of the game with sexual contents, but at least they can still use the store outside Steam for 18+ release of Your Diary. Also this time they didn't have the reason to censored the release of 18+ version like Eien no Aselia in the past, because they should be able to do that now that we have both of 18+ version and all age version available. Too bad that the release would be a mess there, because both of the graphic and the casts of Your Diary are looks interesting. From Frontwing we got Phantom Trigger volume 5 release, and since the staff himself (FredtheBarber) suggested that by attaching the label Grisaia it mean the disservice to Phantom Trigger itselves, perhaps it would be better if we treat Phantom Trigger as their own (Albeit with same setting at Grisaia). While more or less I'm disagree with chapter based release here, seeing that developing one epic VN like that would more than likely need more time and a lot of work, perhaps it was necessary that Frontwing did the releases in chapter based. Anyway, as the premise we have our pink haired childhood friend ninja Ikoma Murasaki have a spotlight in regard of the clash with her sister, and from there we'll probably could know more about her presumably dark past along with Haruto's past. Even though I still didn't read this yet (Maybe I'll consider to read Phantom Trigger if I have time), it's easy to assume that Phantom Trigger story isn't over yet so perhaps Frontwing would make at the very least two more volumes that both explained Haruto's past in more detail and the finale. Anyway get the VN at the Steam store here if you'd interested and have fun. For side note here, personally I hope that Frontwing will release Island by the end of August, although there's still no detail from them yet though. Sekai Project Apparently the censorship mess in Maitetsu was caused by Lose request to Sekai in regard of censoring bath CG by using towel. No comment about this for now other than at least Lose still didn't go Pulltop yet for the overseas release, because we still can read the H scenes despite the doubt that was happened back when Maitetsu announced (Granted the censorship happened outside of the H scenes though). In the end, I guess I'll just leave it to Sekai how to handle those blunder there while the fan keep making the demosaic patch for Maitetsu, although personally I didn't care much in regard of mosaic here. For the releases from Sekai, we have both of Starnova and Nekopara Extra. As for Nekopara Extra, I guess more or less it's just another Nekopara so you should know what to expect there. That said, apparently we'll gonna see of how both of Chocola and Vanilla were adopted into the family, so if you want to know more about the catgirls past I guess you should be interested with the title (Or just want to see more Nekopara there) - no sex scenes for this title by the way because both of Chocola and Vanilla were still in their childhood appearance wise. About Starnova, like I say it's more or less an idol group VN with some idol facing the hardship before finally find their shine, just like Idolmaster or Love Live (Especially the former with the producer as the player POV here). From the first glance, it should be interesting if you've been looking forward into idol VN in which it's surprisingly rare that we can have a VN like this in English. For more info this VN was also released at Mangagamer OELVN week, so you should be able to purchase this from Mangagamer as well. For more interesting info, this VN was also did have Japanese seiyuu voicing the characters in which it could be expensive seeing that some of the cast were quite experienced in voicing eroge (Forget to say that Starnova here is an eroge as well), especially if we remember Sunrider 3 case. What I can say is that one of the OST here is quite uncanny, and that OST is QUASAR theme which could be fit in space opera as evil space empire (No surprising considering that Sunrider also have evil space empire). Have fun if you've been interested with Starnova, although I'm more or less just less interested with this compared to back at the announcement. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and I hope that someday we'll gonna have another proper VNTS there. See you next week, or maybe next VNTS Review.1 point -
If My Heart Had Stars Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/16/2017) Because we have Miagete as the big release for this week by MoeNovel and unfortunately they still didn't learn much after their blunder in Konosora in regard of H scenes, I decided to just changed the 'Wings' part from Konosora English title (If My Heart Had Wings), so we had 'If My Heart Had Stars' which could be still fitting for Miagete English title there lol. Welcome to my VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. As for this week, other than Miagete release we finally see Mangagamer batch of updates in which I'd waiting for a month here, and of course we still see some usual updates from fan translation. Let's see what I could write for this week as well. After I doubted that Sekai will be released Tokeijikake this year, finally they gave the answer that yes they can release that at this year. For the release date, it's very near in which it was quite surprising because they'll release that at... 18th tomorrow in which it's the same date as Hoshimemo all age release. Apparently they'll also have the 18+ release at the same time as well, so it should be good as well if one want 18+ of Tokeijikake in the first place. I'm quite looking forward for the release here, and here's hoping that Sekai will release both of Daybreak and Morning Mist (2nd and 3rd parts of Tokeijikake respectively) quickly. This week unfortunately we didn't have translation progress from Eustia, but at least there's both of editing and TLC progress, in which it was at 17.46% edited and 18.01% TLC-ed as of now. For Loverable, right now it was at 96.8% translated with Kaho's route was at 78.68% translated, along with 65.7% TLC-ed and 27.67% edited. We still see Musumaker stable progress here in which it was at 44.8% translated right now, and we have Witch Garden update as well which right now was at 36% translated. As for Pure Pure, right now Chapter 3 was at 58.70% translated and overall was at 48.34% translated - keep in mind that it's still rough translation though. Speaking about Pure Pure translation team, they gave the word in regard of Tayutama 2 drama which could be summarized as 'The editor didn't involved in Tayutama 2 anymore, and we hope the best for Tayutama 2'. As for Tsujidou, right now Maki's route was almost finished with 95.14% translated and overall was already at almost three quarter (73.26%) translated - seeing that progress it should be obvious there's almost certainty that Maki's route will be finished by next week. That's all for fan translation this week. We finally have Mangagamer updates here in which I've been waiting for a month here, so let's see what they have here after one month of absence. For the updates we got Hashihime was at 43% edited, Fata Morgana fandisc was at 58% edited, Sona Nyl was at 24% translated - at least it looks stable here although it'll took one more year to be released though if the progress was like this, Rance Quest was past halfway (55%) translated and one third (33%) edited, Sengoku was at 70% retranslated and 35% edited, Maggot Bait was at 65% translated and 5% edited, Trinoline was at 60% translated and 11% edited, Kuroinu Final Chapter (ie Chapter 3) was at 91% edited - quite a big jump there, Bitter Exclusion was both fully translated and edited, and finally they had Hapymaher fully edited - what's left for Hapymaher is that they waited until Purple Software tweak their engine and after the engine ready they'll test it for the English build (Hopefully in near future the engine will ready). As for the last news here, while this is not in their updates actually Mangagamer was already do the testing for Sono Hanabira 11 so at least it should be reasy for the release in near future. That's all for Mangagamer. Other Let's just said that while this section indeed have big releases, those release were just have many questionable thing in regard of that. Anyway, other than releases we have Phantom Trigger Volume 4 KS which somehow I missed that, and they're already finished it successful because they managed to gather almost 50,000 while the goal was only 30,000. I would say whatever in regard of Phantom Trigger, but we have the good news in that we finally have Island anime website, and they'll have the promotional video for that at 29th later. While it sounds like I'm hyping the anime here, the fact that Frontwing promised us that they'll coordinated the Island VN release along with the anime so hopefully it mean that the release time for Island is near. We finally have Dies Irae 18+ patch which surprisingly was very quick, but unfortunately it's not what we expected here. What we get here is that they'd released Acta Est Fabula version, while normally we expected that we gonna have H scenes was added to the version that we had right now (Amantes Amentes, I'll shorten it as Amantes). Quite unfortunate since Light was already make the effort for Acta Est Fabula release by make it possible to play it at 16:9 screen, in which it should be possible to just add the H scenes at Amantes instead. While it's possible that Light might be have a hard time to add H scenes in Amantes because of the engine, it's not like it was impossible if they work it more because we have something like that in the past - see Eien no Aselia Special Edition that added 18+ for PS2 port, that was released unfortunately after the effort for translating Aselia was finished. Well whatever, and at least their all ages release (Dies Irae) was justified if only they already released it at the console and add the side stories that was adapted from the light novel, compared to what Pulltop did. As for Miagete, okay I admit that it was a big release with good graphic and well known eroge seiyuu. From what Decay said earlier, apparently MoeNovel (Or Pulltop to a certain extend) was already improved in regard of the translation and they didn't cut the dirty joke, which compared to Konosora it should be a big improvement all right. But unfortunately they still did cut the H scenes because they released that at Steam. While it's justified because it was at Steam, what baffling us is that they still stubborn for not released that 18+ version which is what we want here. To make it worse it's actually possible that if they just leave it to their old partners, either Mangagamer (For the stores of their English release) or JAST (They work together back at 2008 in regard of Princess Waltz) in regard of the publishing 18+ version. But instead what Pulltop done is that they decided to do it by themselves (Not wrong though) through MoeNovel. So what I could say is that, while granted MoeNovel was the one who executed the infamy action in regard both of Konosora and Miagete, Pulltop also have blame to share because it would impossible to have the 18+ cut without their agreement or policy. In the end, it's both parties fault (MoeNovel and Pulltop) that we got butchered release of Miagete here (ie without H scenes). Whatever. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
The Beautiful Alpaca Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (04/01/2017) The title for this week might be too simple here, but it really meant to said of how beautiful the alpaca is that lol. Okay, since we had alpaca here for image header while we had three other human heroines, I decided to make the title 'The Beautiful Alpaca' because I'm sure that behind it's appearance if it's normal human i'm sure that the alpaca will be beautiful human girl (There's other reason though). With the title matter done here, welcome to my VNTS Review for this week and happy April fools here beforehand. If we look at the image header, we could see that we had four different image in the header, which mean it's been awhile since we had four notable releases at one week (The last time was at December iirc when we had four notable release). Which of course this should be good, if only I'm interested with those releases (I'm not too interested by the way). Today we also had Anime Boston, and the announcements was quite letdown imo (At least one of those were the secret announcements from Mangagamer). Although if we talk about Mangagamer announcements, guess they'll probably save the big one for the announcements like AX or Otakon later here. Let's just see what Mangagamer had for us later at both of AX and Otakon 2017 later, although of course I should talk about their announcements from Boston as well. From Fruitbat Factory, this week they released Miniature Garden which is actually already delayed because back at February it was stated to be released at March 3rd. That's all in the past though, and at least we already get the release here so what's done it's done. Anyway, about Miniature Garden I would said that the VN was actually had some interesting production value if we looking at the seiyuu - I mean Sora Tokui who as we knew also voiced Yazawa Nico (Or Nico Nico Nii) back at Love Live, the art wasn't so bad ie good, and the opening song was quite interesting. Too bad though that's apparently the VN itself was had some problem so much that the average VNDB score was quite low. Either way, go get that from Steam if you interested, and maybe you could see the good part of Miniature Garden. As for fan translation, this week they still give some usual updates here. As for updates goes, right now Loverable was at 58.32% translated, 29.87% TLC-ed, and 16.04% edited; Majokoi was at 69.6% edited and 16% TLC-ed (Still no translation update yet by the way); Eustia was at 5.6% translated and 3.78% edited (The prologue was at 60.77% translated and 41.06% edited for more detail); and we had Dergonu managed to translated more lines from Minato's route at Koiken Otome Revive (366 lines). Also for this week we had our Ittaku reporting that right now the proofread for ToHeart 2 was reaching 65% for the progress, or if you want more detail the route that was finished for the proofread was twins route. Other than those updates, there's no announcement from fan translation this week (Duh). For HatsuKoi, I'll add the update in here later but for now the progress was 42.13% of Kyou's route was translated, and overall it was at 58.79% translated. Sekai Project There's no much usual updates from Sekai this week, although to tell the truth most of their usual updates were already completed (Chrono Clock, Maitetsu). But of course if we mean 'no much usual updates', Sekai was still had some updates here only not as much as before. For this week usual updates, we got Bokukotsu at 42% translated and Kanonana was at 70% translated. Also this week they add some new updates. The new usual updates goes like we had KARAKARA 2 was at 48% translated and Fatal Twelve was at halfway translated. As for the speed of the translation, it's probably another VNs with short length (I still interested with KARAKARA 2 a little bit by the way) but it's just my guess for now. For the last updates, since this is already April I would said that obviously they had some technical problem at handling Rakuen, and therefores it's inevitable that they delayed the release of it. Let's see if they could managed it in this month (I mean April). Other than the updates, this week Sekai was had tow releases here. The first one was PacaPlus which to said had quite unique premise to say the least (I mean your childhood friend was alpaca or something like that, although granted there's more on that once again). As for this VN, actually it's been a while that this VN was received the translation (Back at 2012) although with Sekai usual pattern guess it's nothing new there. As for Sekai other release, instead of Japanese VN we got Chinese VN, and looking from the premise I'm sure that was remind me of the eden if one want to talk about the premise. Anyway, as for Chinese VN itself (Companion) I must said that the art was quite nice to look at although I wasn't quite interesting with the VN though (Maybe I will in the future) for now. Other than those updates and release, this time Sekai didn't had announcement for Boston unlike last year (I guess I better waiting until Sakuracon later). Mangagamer For Boston, only Mangagamer who had the announcements here. But before going to the announcements here, let me state that this week Mangagamer also had one release and one planned release there. For the release, at 31st they released Kuroinu which safe to said not my taste. Although even if it's not my taste here, I knew that the VN was also had good writers whose their other works was quite infamous euphoria (I knew that euphoria was had some interesting story, but the sex was not my taste here). If you interested with Kuroinu, go get that from Mangagamer. Other than release, Mangagamer also already determined when next part of Higurashi (Meakashi) will be released. The release date was at 28th according to their blogpost. About Meakashi, to tell the truth I'd already guess that Meakashi was almost released from looking at Doddler's tweet, but I forgot to write about that here. As for the announcements, what I could said is that quite a letdown there. Although at least we didn't need to blindly guess one of their secret project, because it's only quite a short nukige there (I wonder if all of their other secret projects would be short nukige as well by the way). As for BL VN, I admit that the setting was quite interesting just like Kuroinu, but too bad BL was not my interest in the first place. Nevertheless, I'll report the progress for the BL VN if there's one as usual there and coincidentally there's already some progress for it (It was at a quarter translated right now). While I said that the announcements was quite a letdown, actually there's one interesting announcements. Namely that Mangagamer announce Trinoline (I'd always misspelled it as Trionline lol) which is another minori games. As for the announcements, while this is quite interesting on it's own, actually there's many people who already saw this coming since back at last year AX iirc. As for the premise, maybe I would said it's like sci-fi nakige because there's usual trope for nakige that we love there (Death and sick girl), and of course what's sci-fi without android in the first place (Or to be exact the android who exactly like MC dead little sister and had said little sister memories to boot). With that done, actually there's more that interest me. Namely that this is the first VN that minori attempted to localize after their failure at Supipara (So much that the opening for Trinoline (And any of minori VN) was not fully animated anymore), which to said at least minori saw some potential in overseas market. Also with what Decay said that Trinoline sales could help minori fundraising (189,436 as of now), and in turn will help Supipara Chapter 2 in English (Although it means that minori should release Trinoline first though if they want to use it as fund raising). What I could say for now here would be let's see it later. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week. PS - As for Grisaia Complete Box plan when the Kickstarter of Phantom Trigger reach 180,000 gathered, I would said whatever ie not that interested. PPS - Kyou's route from HatsuKoi was fully translated, and overall translation progress was at 67.66% (Past two third mark) translated. Also the team will be reveal their next project later after Maya's patch. Oh, and they said that they hope by Wednesday the patch (Kyou's) could be released.1 point -
A Gunwoman Hugging Her Handler Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (06/10/2017) First of all, sorry for this week title which is very simple. It should be obvious what's my title mean, a gunwoman (Rena from Phantom Trigger) hugging Haruto who is also her handler (Same age as Rena too). Well, welcome to this week VNTS Review which to tell the truth didn't had any notable release here after Dies Irae, although we still get updates though. And since right now we had Phantom Trigger head image, might as well tell that it was confirmed that the English version for the Volume 3 of it (Will telling us of Touka's dark backstory) would be out at July 28th which is the same release date as Japanese version. Before going to updates here, let me tell that right now Hoshimemo Kickstarter managed to gathered funds at 63,330. As for this updates here, so far this week wasn't a lot here although of course there should be some updates that might be interesting for some people. So let's see what updates that we had for this week, starting from Mangagamer because right now they bring some updates here. For the updates here, we had Hapymaher was reaching 80% translated and past three quarter (76%) edited for the first one. Next we had Hashihime at 62% translated and 10% edited, Naked Butler was fully retranslated and 67% edited, Sideboob was at 94% translated, Imopara 2 was at 80% edited, Kuroinu Chapter 2 was fully edited, Maggot Bait was at 37% translated, Fata Morgana fandisc was at 69% translated and 44% edited, Boukaku was about to entering beta testing, and Sorcery Joker was fully translated. As for the secret projects, the 2nd was at 78% translated and 52% edited, the 3rd was at 60% translated and 58% edited, and the 4th was at 89% edited. By the way, I still think that all the remaining four secret projecys might be nukige although perhaps I might be wrong there. Oh, Mangagamer will released Rance VI hardcopy at July 7th so if you inyerested with that go ahead and order it. That's all for Mangagamer updates at this week. For fan translation, once again we still had some usual updates here although of course it's still good that we had updates here. For the updates we had Eustia was at 15.62% translated with some progress at Fione's arc and 8.71% TLC-ed. There's also Loverable in which they had their own chart who gives update at every hour, and for the updates here we had Loverable was at 72.57% translated, 20.2% edited, and 43.27% TLC-ed. As for Majokoi, there's some very slight updates in translation progress (86.9% translated) although perhaps we need to wait dor a while here if one want to look some real number. Oh, and right now Koiken Otome fandisc was at 6% (Or 1,563 lines to be precise) translated. Other than those updates there's also Sukiuso which give the first update after a while (43.2% translated), Clover Days Anzu's route was at 63% translated, and Sayooshi in which that it did already has some update for a while although I keep forgetting it (It was at 42.2% translated). Speaking about my forgotten projects, actually there's two although it's just nukige though which to said not my priority to keep the eyes on it. The projects were Sansha Mendan which was translated by our Quof with the progress was at 69.16% translated and 67% edited, and Venus Blood Chimera which also incorporate some gameplay and was released the 2nd partial patch just recently (The progress was at 35% translated by the way). Perhaps I'll keep my eyes on those two nukige from now on. For last updates from fan translation here, there's a surprisingly early updates from Tsurezure in regard of Tsujidou in which right now they managed to fully translated the first part of common route (The overall progress was at 13.05% translated). While this is a good news indeed, there's also some bad news that namely Trip (The translator) will be busy so he wouldn't be able to translate until 18th so maybe there'll be no update for Tsujidou at next week. But we also had a good news there namely that Tsurezure will release the partial patch that'll be translated the first part of common route, and they'll try to release it before 18th so there'll be something to look forward if you like Tsujidou (Although I would like to just wait and see here as usual). I think that's all for this week, and see you next week.1 point -
First Love, Basketball, and Pizza Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (04/08/2017) Edit - Since we had our Decay trying to add VNTS weekly, I'll add VNTS link for this week as usual. I knew that the image header was not Kyou from HatsuKoi, but rather it was from Aiyoku no Eustia (Good thing that it's finally added to VNTS). Even so, I decided to keep my own VNTS Review title for this week because it's more fitting imo looking at HatsuKoi Kyou's patch release once again. As for the review title, since this week we had Kyou's patch release from HatsuKoi translation project, I decided for the title we had something like Koichoco full title (Love, Election, and Chocolate) with some adjustment. First love was the direct translation from Hatsukoi, while pizza and basketball was what we could see from Kyou's route later, so we had 'First love, Basketball, and Pizza' as the title. With the title matter done here, let me said that other than Kyou's patch release, there's no major complete release for this week so I could say that this is a calm week after Boston convention. Speaking about convention, there's SakuraCon next week although this time apparently only Sekai that will had the announcement though. With that done, let's move on to the actual review. This week there's a video from Visual Arts. I knew that sounds lame here because it's mean that I was like promoting a random video from Youtube lol. But actually it's important video in which it was Little Busters Complete Edition with English subtitle. Speaking about that, there's also a news that apparently Baba (Visual Arts CEO) was planning to release it on this spring. Which mean that it'll be at least early June for be the latest if we speaking about the spring (Unless we count Australia, in which case it would be early December lol). Although I kind of wonder a little bit whether Fruitbat Factory will be involved in the release or not (Probably is, considering that our Phlebas from Fruitbat involved with the translation of original version in the past). As for my comment, well at least we could read three more additional routes which should be satisfy any Little Busters fan there. For Sekai section, there's not much to say here other than at least there's still some updates from them (Bokukotsu was almost reach halfway translated (49%), while their first secret project was at 68%). Although this week they only had few updates here, actually this week Sekai releasing two demos for their coming soon VNs. The first demo was Nekonin which apparentlybgetting ready for April release and also already opened the Steam store, thile the 2nd demo was from Fatal Twelve which safe to said quite interesting because the Kickstarter wasn't ended yet. Go get those two from their Steam stores (Nekonin and Fatal Twelve) if you interested. Speaking about Steam store, there's also another one established for Rakuen which mean the release date was close (Good for Grisaia fan), and apparently according to Steam the release date was at April. Other than Sekai, this week Mangagamer was also had some updates. For the updates it goes like Trinoline was at 6% translated (Very recent VN and all), Hapymaher was at 73% translated (66% edited), Sorcery Joker was at 85% translated, Boukaku was fully translated and 91% edited (Very fast update there), recently announced BL VN (I'll call it Hashihime) was at 31% translated (Same number with Maggot Bait), Fata Morgana fandisc was past halfway (52%) translated and 30% edited, Naked Butler was past halfway (53%) retranslated, and Kuroinu Chapter 2 was fully translated (Also 58% translated). For loli nukige (Sweet Young Bride), it was already completed (Fully edited and translated) since it was still announced as secret project. As for secret projects, turn out that there's still six unknown VNs instead of five because Mangagamer add 7th secret project. For the progress, 1st was at 83% translated (78% edited), 2nd was at 55% translated (44% edited), 3rd was at 39% for both of translation and editing process, 4th was at 88% translated (58% edited), and the 7th was at 43% translated (32% edited). That's all for Mangagamer this week. For this week, first of all there's no Majokoi update at this week unfortunately (Hope there will be next week). Although of course there's still some update from other projects though (Duh). For the updates, this week we had Loverable which is at 59.54% translated right now, following with TLC progress at 29.94% and 17.26% edited (They also completed Satsuki's route, and they'll translate Nanako's route next). Other than Loverable, we had Witch Garden at 23% translated, Eustia finally reached 6% mark translated (Prologue was at 67.78% translated. For more elaboration it was at 45.98% edited and 25.44% TLC-ed for the prologue), ToHeart 2 was 70% proofread (Also Yuuki's route finished the proofreading), and Koiken Otome fandisc was at 2% translated (527 lines). For the last but definitely not the least update we had HatsuKoi project (Tsurezure) who released another patch (Obviously Kyou's patch once again), and of course there's some progress as well in which they tackle Maya's route right now just like they said (Maya's route was at 20.23% translated, while for overall was at 71.55% translated). That's all for my VNTS review this week albeit early. See you next week. PS - Today there's another HatsuKoi patch in which it goes like Maya's route was at 44.54% translated and overall translation progress was past three quarter mark (76.52%) translated. That's all for the additional update here.1 point -
Ayaya as a Doctor Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (03/11/2017) The title was very bad for this week I knew, so I'm apologize in advance for that regarding the title. About the title here, I mentioned Ayaya because of the seiyuu factor ie seiyuu joke here (By the way Ayaya (Or Komichi Aya for the real name) was from Kiniro Mosaic, and of course I'm continuing Kiniro refrence here from last week). Oh, and speaking about the seiyuu it's Risa Taneda once again who also voiced one of the heroine from Japanese School Life VN. As for the girl in VN image header, of course she was voiced by Taneda (Duh) and her occupation was a doctor hence the title (Quite ironic consideing that she was had some illness and in hiatus right now). With that done, welcome to this week VNTS Review which according to Tay was quite anemic ie lacking to be blunt. Although of course there's still some interesting progress though which I'll track those progress here. Okay, about the girl in image header it's actually from Utawarerumono 2, which was announced will be released at May 23rd. Although once again I would said it'll be interesting release, too bad though I'd not quite interested with that mainly because I didn't own either PS4 or PSV here and buying those not my options for now to said it honestly (Also no PC release once again). But if you already own PS4 or about to buy it like Decay and Utawarerumono fans, I would say go get the game there. Other than Utawarerumono sequels duology, we also had Libra progress in which right now was had all routes was finally translated once again, and the last side episode (Iris's) was already at 80% edited according to them (I missed this back in February by the way) - which of course made the editing process for Aoi and Lycoris side episode was already finished. And in regard of Phantom Trigger Kickstarter, they already reach the goal (80,000) and apparently they'll add more side goal there. Almost forgot to said that Miniature Garden release was delayed to April 3rd according to Mangagamer site there. As for Sekai, they was the most anemic if we looking at their progress (Bokukotsu was at 37.02% and Maitetsu was fully translated), although perhaps they'd getting ready for Anime Boston announcement later. If one could recall, at last Anime Boston they announced Maitetsu and Tokeijikake, which while it's not quite big title those two were still definitely quite well known. Speaking about Sekai, apparently there's some complain in regard of Chrono Clock translation which apparently was unedited at some section (I could give less care in term of slang and uncommon word). According to some source (Editor's tweet), Chrono Clock was only like 84% edited by the time of the rease so perhaps it could explain some unnatural reading there (Especially H Scenes). In regard of that, Sekai promised that they'll release the patch to fix that particular issue at Monday in case some of you interested with that. For fan translation, it's still had some usual updates here but for this week the progress was directed toward TLC. As for the updates recap, we had 115 scripts translated for Sono Hanabira 11; Majokoi was at 68.7% edited and 15.6% TLC-ed (Still no translation progress because the new main translator was still trying catch up with the VN); and while we didn't had Loverable updates announced here, the team was still working if some of you wonder (For the current progress, right now it was at 55.86% translated, 27.43% TLC-ed, and 17.03% edited). And for HatsuKoi, still no progress as of now yet but maybe there will be later. That's all for this week, and see you next week. PS (3/12) - About Mangagamer, they just deliver the updates at this morning so let me list the updates here. For both of Hapymaher and Sorcery Joker, right now it was at 69% translated (54% edited) and 81% translated respectively. Fata Morgana fandisc was at 47% translated and 17% edited (Quite nice jump there), ehile Imopara 2 was at 59% edited. As for Kuroinu Chapter 2, right now it was at 62% translated and 18% edited. Speaking about high sexual context VN, there's also Maggot Bait which as of now Kouryuu managed to translated 22% of it. For last updates here, Naked Butler was at 42% retranslated and Evangile W was fully edited. That's all for Mangagamer late update, and I'll check if there's updates from their secret project later. PPS - Right now HatsuKoi did some update. As for the update, they translated almost two third of Runa's route (65.64% translated) and for overall progress it was at 44.98% translated. For their next plan, they'll try to finishing Runa route this weekend and release Runa patch at next weekend. Keep in mind that the plan could be change though because of some circumstance (Also in regard the plan for release one patch for each month), but one thing that was sure for now would be the full patch for HatsuKoi wouldn't be come later than June. That's all for HatsuKoi update.1 point -
Love Live! School Trap Idol Project Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (02/04/2017) It should be very obvious what parody that the title tried to deliver here (It's Love Live duh). But for more twist here, two of three people in header image were men. Yes men, although they definitely looking good though in their disguise (Hence the title trap). With that said, welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late here. Let's see what update that VNTS had for this week, but first let me comment on the VN at header image beforehand. Apparently Mangagamer decided to do surprise release like JAST. But unlike JAST, Mangagamer just launching nukige which is quite short according to VNDB. To tell the truth, the premise was riduculuous and ironically mimicking Love Live series further. Best not question that I suppose. Although it's quite interestimg that apparently Mangagamer was partnering with Umesoft though, and I think this was quite sudden because there's no announcement from Mangagamer in regard of partnership with Umesoft (Or I just missng the news). For Mangagamer other releases, not care too much here so that's all for Mangagamer at this week. Sekai Project About Chrono Clock delay here, while I sort of predicted it gonna happen, I couldn't help but feel a little down there. But while there's delay there, at least they prepared Chrono Clock Steam Store which hopefully means it shouldn't take long time to release it - I still slightly wary though looking at 'Soon' at release time which mean that they're not certain in regard of release time (And we knew of how JAST love word 'soon' here). Now for Chrono Clock update, right now it was at 93.29% translated and apparently Sekai was preparing the launching of beta version there. At least there's notable progress though if we talk about the translation process only. For the other update we had Maitetsu which finally had resume the updates after two weeks absence (88.45% translated). For more updates, there are bunch of progress from secret projects, but let me state two more updates from non-secret project here - Hoshimemo was fully retranslated, Rakuen was at 90% translated and Bokukotsu was at 28.07% translated. As for the secret projects, 1st was at 37% translates, 2nd was at 73% translated, 4th was at 63% translated, and somehow they add another project which right now was at 24% translated (Maybe they following Mangagamer which had 6 secret projects?). That's all for Sekai at this week. Fan Translation While there's no notable release from fan translated VN as of now yet, overall I'm quite satisfied with the updates from all of the project that I interested here. Let's see what the updates had here, shall we? For usual updates, there's both of Majokoi and Loverable which as expected always deliver the update in time. For more detail, Majokoi was 72.1% translated and 62% edited for the most obvious one, and the less obvious one would be they finished the translation for another route here (Kozue). Also Fred said that the translator will be finishing the translation for the ending soon. As for Loverable, right now it was at 51.58% translated, 18.85% TLC-ed, and the image editing was touching three quarter mark (75.16%). Also right now Satsuki's route was being in work ie translating process, and there's some work on the interface as well. That's all for the weekly usual progress here. For more updates here, we had ToHeart 2 was finished all of the editing work which mean it was 100% edited for now and for additional info the proofreading progressing at 45% (There's some graphic editing left as well). Also there's Sukiuso in which the translation progressing at 42.3% and Tsui Yuri was at 52% QC-ed. That's all for the unusual updates here. Before I closing my VNTS Review, there's HatsuKoi in which they had some nice progress. Personally the reason I interested in HatsuKoi was because the production factor. I mean the graphic was nice to look at, there's ton of image song, and there's also famous eroge seiyuu there who voicing heroines. Although too bad though that the review that I found (At least in English) said that the MC was stupid and useless. But still, I'll plan to keep my eyes on this project for now once again. As for the update, they planned to translated Midori's route once again in which right now was at 21.8% translated. For more info, they almost finish translating common route in which it was at 95.78% translated, and for overall translation progress it was touching 20% mark (20.01%) which is quite impressive that they started this back at December 20th. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.1 point -
Welcome to Carlyle Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/19/2016) Welcome to my VNTS Review for this week, and as for the title since we had Enigma as the image header I thought that I'll just using the setting from Enigma (Carlyle) to made the word akin to the welcome at When They Cry series (They had 'Welcome to Hinamizawa' for Higurashi and 'Welcome to Rokkenjima' for Umineko). As for the VN, congratulations to Fruitbat Factory and PhleBuster as the employee of Fruitbat Factory (Or should I said Phlebas who was quite known as Dakkodango Translation staff back at 2010, although I guess it was quite obvious) for the release of Enigma, and of course thanks to Conjueror too as the translator. In regard of Enigma, I think it was quite positive looking from Kaguya enjoying this and gave 5 stars here for the review. Also for now the VNDB score was at 8.17 although to be honest it's still not enough though because it was only had 9 votes (Much less than Fata Morgana when back there was only had 62 votes). For me, well perhaps I will take this game in the future. Other than Enigma release, this week we also had Shuffle released on Steam which was only PS2 port according to some people, so obviously there will be no sex scene there duh (Nevermind, it's just like Dracu Riot patch release ie slip up release. But I'd decided to still gave my comment). As for my response, well I'm already completed this so I think I'll not that interested with Steam port, and I'd already knew some VN that was better than Shuffle. But it's still one of my first serious eroge, and nothing could change that. Oh, since we had Shuffle release on Steam might as well say rest in peace to the writer, Argobarrier who passed away back at March. As for MoeNovel, still not clear whether it's new release or just one of already released VN go translated. Let's just wait and see, although I said that there's a chance that MoeNovel will using crowdfund and chapter based release if they developed new VN according to the current trend. As for the roundup for the translation progress, first of all once again Mangagamer made surprise update and I'd already listed it at last VNTS Review. So here's the progress below and I'd already commented about it at my last VNTS Review too. That's all for relisting of Mangagamer updates here. This week Sekai also at their usual, although it was still good though so noting much to comment here. For roundup Chrono Clock was at 64.66% translated (At least it was sped up from last week progress), Maitetsu was at 59.69% translated, Tenshin Ranman was at 68.654% translated, Bokukotsu was at 15.93% translated, and Princess Knight Chapter 2 was at 98.27% translated. For the info of releases, we had both of Nashvile and Japanese School Life which will be released at three days later (November 23rd). From the first look, Nashvile was some kind of yuri VN which apparently something alike Highway Blossom, while Japanese one sounds like Go Go Nippon only with also transferring school although looks like the description was spoiling all of the story though. That's all for Sekai For fan translation, this week we had Tsui Yuri managed to had 16.5% retranslated; Loverable was at 32.04% translated, 12.97% TLC-ed, 8.89% edited, and 5.21% QC-ed (Very nice progress there, and by the way the translation team was preparing trial patch for Loverable); Majokoi was at 58.1% translated and 43.8% edited (Fred said that there's some nice progress from both of Cinderella and Kozue's routes translation); and finally this week we had Sayooshi finally reaching 40% translated mark (Or to be exact at 40.2% translated). Oh, and this week we also had Ushieta was already pass a quarter mark translated here (27.5% translated), although too bad though that they plan for releasing partial patch was cancelled because of some technicality difficulty according to this post (Good luck). For last update here, finally ToHeart 2 getting a proofreader and hopefully from now it'll be smooth sailing to the finishing touch. That's all for this week VNTS, and see you next week. PS - Today finally Arcadeotic gave his long awaited update here. So let me write the updates for both of Bishoujo Mangekyou progress. For Bishoujo Mangekyou 1 we got the progress at 96% edited, 91% QC-ed, and 48% TLC-ed; and as for 2.5 we got 49% translated there (Almost halfway) and 45% TLC-ed. That's all for the update, and thanks.1 point
