  1. Hi! It's still alive but there are hardly any progress at the moment. Experienced some hard crashes when we were doing the beta testing that we weren't able to resolve. But I am looking into it, probably a problem with the repacker. I appreciate people are still waiting for this. Tbh, I lost any remaining motivation doing this, so yeah it may take more time. Sorry to disappoint mates.

  2. First of all, sorry for the lack of updates since April, but it's all good because the patch is just about ready for release. At long last, the full patch will be released on Friday, June 13 at 22:00 UTC. Considering all the delays the project has had over the last year and a half, it's somehow fitting that it would end up getting released on Friday the 13th...not that I'm superstitious or anything, but it's still very funny. An absolutely insane amount of work by nReus went into this, including almost all of the image edits, subtitling and rendering of the videos, and even editing an animation sequence the game uses for the right-click menu to make it look as professional as possible, not to mention drawing up the Studio Frisay website, where you can see all of our projects to date. So I know you'll appreciate all the extra work that went into the project beyond the translation. As previously mentioned, the patch will work for either the original disc version released in 2010 or the version purchased from DMM; only the patch files will be different, as specified in the patch upon release. Any troubleshooting will be offered through the patch's readme, as well as on the website, and on the Discord. We've tested the patch on Windows 10 and 11, so any fixes are provided based on those systems. Sorry for the late reply to this, but I was planning on writing up something like this anyway, so this works out just as fine. First, why I picked it. I was trying to find a game that used the Kirikiri engine at the time since I wanted to try working with that engine for the first time, since it's pretty popular and knowing its ins and outs would be useful for any later projects that use that engine. But as to why Waremete specifically, I had watched the anime adaptation years ago, and I had wanted to read the game for a long time since, but just never got around to it. So it was a title that was kind of in the back of my mind, and I had wanted to revisit it to see if working on a patch for the game would be worth it, or even possible. Early work on the game's engine was a massive headache in terms of trial and error, since although the game uses Kirikiri, the developers had some really unconventional choices when they were using the engine, so I had to work through that, in addition to my own inexperience with the engine at the time. But once that was done and I started translating the beginning of the script, it wasn't soon after that I fully committed to the translation and to see it through to its end. My main impression of the game is that it was a good first (and ultimately only) title for Trumple to produce back in 2010. Remember that this was 15 years ago, and even back then, there were plenty of other bigger studios producing longer and more fleshed out visual novels that they had to compete with. So is this a AAA game? No, but it never really needed to be. I find the story interesting and engaging, the characters are endearing and I quickly became attached to their personalities and idiosyncrasies, and to a large degree I feel like the main appeal of the game are the characters themselves. I did enjoy the story. I wouldn't have worked on the game if I hadn't. But the characters really make this what it is in the end, in my opinion. Nagisa was my favorite character, but Airi is the true star of the story. No character in the game is more complex than her, and I feel the story shows that Saitou Kenji really took his time to develop her character. And it should come as no surprise that he also wrote Nagisa's route. Some of my favorite scenes were in Nagisa's and Airi's routes. The main thing I disliked about the game was that it felt kind of underdeveloped in places. All the routes seem kind of short, and the game itself is "only" 35,000 lines long, so pretty short as far as visual novels go. I do wish there had been more romantic scenes between Sou and each heroine, and in general just more interaction between the characters. The game's structure is also a little unusual since it doesn't have a separate common route, so maybe it could have been better had they done something like that instead. If nothing else, it would have provided more of those character interactions I already mentioned, if not also further developing the overall mystery of the story before getting into the heroine routes, but it's a relatively minor grievance I have with the game. There also aren't all that many supporting characters, and the few that exist are almost entirely underdeveloped except for one, and even that is not very much. Other than that, no real glaring disappointment. Stylistically, the art in the game is very nice, and the animated sprites are a really nice touch that adds to the game's overall esthetic, and makes interacting with the characters all the more enjoyable. The music is also very well done and I never found any of the tracks annoying to listen to over and over again. In the end, the game was a joy to work on and experience, and I hope others enjoy it as much as I did, if not more, once the patch is released next week.

  3. The main thing is that the script is 100% done. Unfortunately, some real world things have taken some time away from the project, but progress on the user interface is still ongoing. There were some additional unforeseen issues with it that made it more complex and time consuming than we would have originally hoped. A lot of the coding and rendering in this game was kind of unusual, in addition to some issues with running the game on modern systems (specifically the most recent version of Windows 11). Hopefully, we can get this all done and release the full patch in May.

  4. Finally at long-last, the script is now fully edited! Thank you to everyone who has been looking forward to seeing this patch get completed, which looks to be very close on the horizon now. For the time being, editing of the game's UI, in-game images and video editing led by nReus is still ongoing, but will hopefully be concluded soon (as in, before the end of February). Then the QC process will start where I play through the whole game and test the patch for bugs, along with any fixes to the script I may have missed during the editing process (which usually amounts to 2-3% of the script getting altered, if the last two projects are any indication). And as coincidence would have it, the game is currently 50% off on DMM until March 10, so please consider buying the game if you can and haven't already. The patch will still work with whatever version you have available though, only the encryption for the patch will be different (which will be as easy as copy/pasting the correct files in the patch, which will be specified on release). So I'll be back on the next update.

  5. I won't lie. Burn out is a very really thing, and I believe is the main reason why most VN fan translation patches never see the light of day. But that's something that should almost entirely encompass the translation itself, since (from having already worked on two previous projects) that's the most tedious process, especially if the script is very long. But since I edit my own translations, I am constantly editing as I translate, which makes that process take even longer, in addition to what I'm doing now which is editing the entire script for consistency, typo/grammar fixes, checking translation accuracy, etc. I've been doing stuff like this for a long, long time (even before Studio Frisay was a thing), so I would say I'm used to it, but that doesn't make it any less of a thing I have to put a lot of dedication into. I do it as a hobby, but I still want to put out the best product possible. Sometimes, time off from a project is necessary to finally complete it. And I can say this, once the translation was completed last year, there was no way I wasn't going to see this patch to completion eventually. On a lighter note, everything surrounding Trumple seems to be cursed in general, seeing as how the studio only produced this one game almost 15 years ago. But I'm glad that the game still lives on currently, and will pretty soon live on in English, too.

  6. First of all, sorry for the lack of updates since October. I had to pause the project for a bit, but it is still very much alive and I have been making steady progress on it recently, even finishing the editing for Airi's arc and I'm about a third of the way through Nagisa's arc currently, with 51% of the script edited. I will be aiming to complete the editing process before the end of next month, and then the QC process will begin. So at this point in time, I believe a release of the full patch by sometime in March is very doable and is a goal I plan on achieving, especially considering the extended break over the last few months. I'll be aiming to make some more frequent updates as I complete the editing for each arc in the coming weeks.

  7. It took almost 2 weeks longer than I had originally hoped, but now the translation is finally complete after nearly 7 months of working on it. Granted, I had taken a more leisurely approach to the translation this time compared to when I did Imaimo and H2O, but I feel I still managed to get it done in a reasonable amount of time. Suffice it to say, I'm relieved the biggest and most tedious portion of the patch process is now done so I can now move on to editing the game's images, of which almost all that require editing are for the UI, so not that bad really in comparison to the previous two projects. It always feels wonderful when the UI gets done because it feels like an official localization, which is generally what I'm striving for each time I've worked on these projects to make playing the game as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Anyway, in the meantime while I'm working on the images, I'd also like to point out that the game is currently 50% off on DMM for the next two days, and if possible, please consider buying the game. So, I'll be back for another update either this or next month.

  8. The English patch for Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete is out! Download via either Google drive or Mediafire. There really isn't much else to say beyond what I said in my previous post last week, but I appreciate all the support for not only this project, but also the previous projects, which thankfully have all seen completion, even if this one took longer than I had originally anticipated when I picked it up a year and a half ago. But as a long-time fan of visual novels, it's always nice to give something back to the community. So please enjoy the game released on the luckiest day of the year, Friday the 13th!

  9. Just a quick update since I haven't done one in a month. The QC of the script is currently at 63% with Kaori's and Airi's routes already complete, and Nagisa's route nearly done, too. The QC should be done by the very end of March, so we're currently aiming to release the full patch sometime in early April. There's still a lot of testing that needs to be done, but it shouldn't be too long now.

  10. I'm now done with editing the first Yui arc at 89% complete with the whole script, and less than 4,000 lines left to check in the final arc, which shouldn't take that long hopefully. Finishing up the editing of the images will then be the next priority so a beta patch can be compiled and tested.

  11. Title: Shuffle! Essence+ Release date: 2004-01-30 Game/Creator: Navel Description: Ten years ago, the gateway to the Realm of the Gods and the Realm of the Demons was opened. Soon afterwards, the gods and the demons began migrating to our world. Now there are places where gods, demons and humans all study together, such as the school, Verbena Academy. Rin, a normal high school guy who is the envy of guys because he lives with and be pampered by the sweet, beautiful Kaede. It’s just a day like any other when two new transfer students show up in class: Sia, Princess of the Gods and Nerine, Princess of the Demons. Now Rin’s luck is about to change, for he has been chosen to take one of their hands in marriage. Whether down the hall, next door or from another realm, girls seem to be everywhere. Progress: At the time of writing this I just finished making a new engine to run this new translation running on Unity rather than me try to hack my way into a proprietary engine that seems only a few games used, the time wasted on hack my way through it could be spend in actually getting the project done faster. Mangagamer already translated the original Shuffle release and Yumehaven translated the PS2 release of it called "On The Stage" that added the Kareha and Mayumi's route into the game and which they released on Steam as a SFW version of it, their license ran out this 2021 and the game has been delisted ever since. Using those 2 release as basis for what is already translated what is left would be the new girls/routes included in the Essence release (Tsubomi , Sakura, Matsuri, Nadeshiko, Daisy) Who's working on this at the moment? Everything is being done by me at the moment, at the moment I am writing I'm migrating the already translated version into this new version I don't know what else to write at the moment here so I will just drop my discord link in case you want to help out in like anything or just follow the updates of this project: https://discord.unclebane.xyz/

  13. Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete (In Search of the Lost Future) Release Download the patch (Google drive, Mediafire) (ver. 1.00, dated June 13, 2025) Description The school festival at Uchihama Academy is almost here, and with it, tensions at the school are at an all-time high. Not only because of scheduling disputes, but also due to rumors of mysterious incidents that have occurred lately on and off campus. Plus, this will be the last festival held at the old school building before moving to one newly being constructed. Akiyama Sou is a member of the notorious astronomy club, which has been tasked by the student council to both resolve these disputes, and also to calm any fears that have cropped up from those rumors. One evening after an incident involving the judo club, Sou is recuperating in the infirmary when the building shakes and he hears a loud sound from one of the upper floors. Concerned, he investigates the fifth floor only to discover an unconscious naked girl who upon awakening seems to know him, later introducing herself as Furukawa Yui. The next day, she seeks out the astronomy club, expressing her desire to join. VNDB link: https://vndb.org/v4880 Where to purchase The game can be purchased legally from DMM (https://dlsoft.dmm.co.jp/detail/tin_0002/), but a Japanese proxy/VPN may be necessary to purchase it. In addition, there's an extra layer of DRM which requires the installation of the DMM Game Player software which then allows you to download and install the game. A Japanese VPN is necessary to use DMM Game Player, both to download the game once purchased, and also to launch the game, although once launched the VPN can be turned off. This is the copy I have obtained, but the patch will work with both the DMM version and the original disc version released in 2010, although the only difference will be in their encryption and the addition of one extra file to get the disc version to work on modern systems. Project The English localization project is being conducted by Studio Frisay as its third project following Imasugu Onii-chan ni Imouto datte Iitai! in 2022 and H2O √ after and another Complete Story Edition in 2023. As before, I (Tooko) will be doing all of the translating and editing of the script, and working on the game engine. Also as before, nReus has agreed to help with the rendering of the game's videos and also most of the image editing (you can largely thank him for the design of the logo above). Studio Frisay website Studio Frisay discord server Progress Programming: The game uses the Kirikiri engine, one of the most popular and versatile engines around. I've already taken care of the preliminary engine hacks necessary to construct the patch after a lot of trial and error, and also received some help to streamline the patch creation process once the project is complete. Translation: The translation took place between January 19 and August 10, 2024, and I had already translated about 25% of the script by the time I announced the project in March. The game has 35,416 lines across 180 scenario files split up between the five heroine routes: Kaori: 8519 / 8519: 100% Airi: 7368 / 7368: 100% Nagisa: 7356 / 7356: 100% Yui 1: 8334 / 8334: 100% Yui 2: 3839 / 3839: 100% Total: 35416 / 35416: 100% Relatively uncommon for this type of game, it doesn't have a separate common route and instead incorporates elements similar to a common route into the beginning of each route. There is also a set order the routes must be completed, which is the same order they're listed above. A full walkthrough will be provided with the patch to view all CGs and endings. Images and videos: Of the 150 or so images that require editing in the game, almost all of them (134) are part of the UI, so it probably shouldn't take that long to finish them up. As for the videos, there are 4: 2 for the OP and 2 for the ED that will require typesetting for the lyrics and a few lines of other text. The images and videos are being edited by nReus. Editing: Editing the script began on August 13, 2024 and concluded on February 12, 2025. Image and video editing continued until their completion in early June 2025. QC: The quality check phase occurred over about a month involving a normal playthrough to check for any problems with the patch files and their rendering. The patch is scheduled for release on Friday, June 13, 22:00 UTC. Progress link on Google Sheets

  15. And now with the editing of Nagisa's arc complete, the script is about 66% of the way done with about 12K lines left to go. Not much else to say other than I appreciate the comments and encouragement to finish this project. It's already been a year since this project began and I'm looking forward to sharing it with others.

  16. Dat Boi Translations Presents Natsu no Ame —Summer Rain— This is the official page for the Natsu no Ame translation project. https://vndb.org/v1898 Introduction Natsu no Ame is a drama visual novel with themes such as: Family, drama, miscommunication, really cute girls. What makes Natsu no Ame special to me is that the way it depicts drama is much more grounded than the average visual novel. It also has Midori. Midori is very cute. This project started on the 10th of June 2025. I'm the only member of the team, but I've gotten some outside help to get the engine and some of the assets working properly. At the current pace, it should take me about 3-5 months to finish. Progress 20% translated as of 27th June 2025 Screenshots

  18. Warring States † Love Princess X ~ Gorgeous Maidens ☆ Illustrated Scrolls of Warring States ~ Hello guys. I started a big project of translating Sengoku † Koihime X. After checking up I found only one work of translation for it as subtitles on YouTube. As a big fan I would like to expand the fanbase for this game into English community too. I'm gonna work "live" time by posting an update english patch 2-3 times a month. You can find it after disclaimers bellow. I know that this is a big game, but I'm tired of waiting. If someone would like to help, by all means (especially testers and editors). Team working on project right now: Eokati vercere (Main Editor) Story Translation: UI Translation: Decensor: *Green means it's included in the latest patch. Blue means it's also included, but not tested. Disclaimers: Patch: Patch v29.0 + Decensor Installation: There are two files: Update01 is UI translation patch, and Update02 - Story translation patch. 19. A few big pieces of news since last time: 1. I moved away from git because it's a bit silly organizing things that way when I'm more or less the only one working on the project. 2. I passed JLPT N1! 3. The script is almost fully translated!!! This does NOT mean the patch is close to complete, just that none of the text in the main script is still in Japanese barring some lines in Keika route. There also hasn't been much of a serious pass at TLC, QC, or editing yet. I personally think that HMFan's work would take enough work to edit that I'd rather just retranslate it myself, and I may do that for Keika's route as well (though I haven't read the existing translation in full yet.) Part of this is personal/selfish, since translating this game has been a goal of mine since long before I began working on this project, for almost 10 years in fact, so I'd really like to end up with a product I'm satisfied with. I plan to keep working on it in my spare time until I get to that point. Anyway, here is the drive link with my current progress, and with the patch included. I also included a README in the folder with more information on my current plans and progress. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/1dQcuQYHebWpZEt_zY8chXpiEhlYz8W-N I'd also like to say that I would GREATLY appreciate help with TLC and editing help from people who know enough Japanese to read the game confidently, since it's extremely difficult to critique my own translation. If you don't know Japanese, feedback and critique regarding my English writing style is also very appreciated. Thank you and enjoy!

  20. Sorry but I didn't find your highly politically influenced argument convincing at all. I suggest you take a step back and recognize that your views are excessively emotional on the matter. To be blunt, please don't bring America's perverse and dogmatic tribal politics onto the forum. You have the right to feel the way you do, but please refrain from trying to 'convince' everyone that yours is the only possible logical argument. Regardless of what 'views' Yorhel and the others might have (which I don't care about one way or the other), vndb serves its purpose of making people aware of new VNs when they come out and retaining basic information on VNs in general. I don't demand anything more of it, and I honestly don't care if they fiddle with tags for random reasons. It's their website and their efforts to maintain it are what have kept it alive for so long. Without vndb, finding visual novels would be much, much harder and more haphazard, like with anime and manga (which have way too many half-assed database sites with horrible structure that makes it hard to find anything). 'Rival' sites don't last long for a simple reason... those sites never manage to be convenient and relatively easy to search even if you don't know an individual visual novel's name. Edit: I should also note that vndb is not primarily or even secondarily a social media site. Ultimately, it is a database where one can (with a sense of moderation and responsibility) post information and reviews for VNs. Treating it like the poisonous swamps that are Reddit, Facebook, and X does no one any good. The social element has its issues, but the bare bones nature of the social features shows how little interest there is in that aspect in the first place. While it is technically a community, it is a community whose focus is on a niche medium of entertainment, not a place for people to rave about political viewpoints.

  21. I think Yorhel is in the top 1-2% of people I'd trust to implement both more Western and Japanese ways of looking at the issue as appropriate to the title. As for the argumentation, well, I think a quote from one of the threads you link says it quite well: I am thoroughly unimpressed by your argumentative performance.

  22. All right, it didn't look like @tenshi25 was gonna be updating this thread with my progress so I've decided to do so myself. Keep in mind, this is the Pure x Connect HD edition + honorific version that I'm working on. Without further ado... Both Sora and Ayumi routes have been tl'd and play-test edited by myself. Still needs a proofread by the team and I wanna muck around with some of the sfx + font size (big text/small text lines) engine calls at some point. Next up, I will be undertaking the Shiho route, I'll post again once this is complete.

    Kara no Shoujo

Kara no Shoujo Licensed by Mangagamer Summary "I want you to look for something ---- Me. My true self." The year is 1956; a series of bizarre murders rocks the city of Tokyo. Tokisaka Reiji, an ex-cop turned private eye, joins the investigation at the behest of his friend Uozumi Kyozo, a detective in the MPD. At the same time, he takes on a missing persons' case at a private all-girls high school, as well as a mysterious request from a girl named Toko to find her true self. As Reiji frantically struggles to crack the case, he learns that the murders bear an uncanny resemblance to a case in which his own fiancé was murdered six years ago. But try as he might, the body count just keeps rising... Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order Kara no Shoujo is a linear story for the most part; there are no in-depth character specific routes (mainly just H-scenes and endings for them instead). There are many game overs & bad endings, three normal endings, and one true end. True end is accessible upon completing at least one normal end. Route Guideline *Due to the murder mystery nature of this VN, it is strongly advised that you make your first playthrough without a walkthrough! Use this walkthrough only after you get your first normal end to get the other endings that you didn't get! To save you some time from control-skipping, I have included Save Points in addition to the full route guides. 27. I read my first « quasi VN » in 2012 or 2013, can’t remember precisely. It was 999 on DS. I liked it a lot and tried to find something similar. Threads (on Reddit probably) oriented me toward truer VN, and the first I read were Fate Stay Night and Clannad, At this point, likely the first half of 2013, I began to come to Fuwanovel : it began of course with the torrents, but I quickly read a lot of threads on the forum, followed the status of VN translations and, most of all, followed every Clephas’s VN of the month as long as it lasted. Torrents disappeared shortly after on Fuwa. It took me years to register as I was content enough with just lurking around and reading you all. IIRC, I registered just to thank Clephas for his work on VN of the month at the time. Somewhere in 2014, I learned to read Jap, frustrated to not be able to read titles like Akatsuki no Goei (the first I read in Jap) and many others. Fast forward to 2025 : I’ve barely read any VN in years. But… I feel so nostalgic of this era. Even only a few seconds of many great VN soundtracks can bring so much memories and feelings. As said previously, I began to know VN after the often alleged ‘golden era’ of JP VN. I came to know Fuwa just before it's creator, Aaeru, vanished and torrents were abolished. It could be said I missed the best era for VN. And yet, I feel even nostalgia for this period I never knew. I feel it through the story you told along the years, through the old threads I read on Fuwa at the time, through things like this https://forum.agoraroad.com/index.php?threads/a-story-from-my-hometown-on-the-net-aaeru-the-piracy-advocate-who-vanished.3906/. And of course, through the many VN I read that came from the 2000-201x era. This nostalgia probably comes from me becoming older, but I’m quite sure it comes from knowing that those era, the golden age of JP VN and the time I came to know VNs, is something that will never occur again. Ah well, I just wanted to share with you all. I don’t expect anything special, but feel free to share your thoughts too. A lot of the ones that ought to be thanked do not seem to be around anymore but there's still some : thanks for this community. Kindly.

  28. It's the nickname of the game from the Japanese audience and may have come from the development team, I can't remember. But it's sourced pretty obviously from Boku ga Tenshi ni Natta Wake. MangaGamer likely left it on so when people searched for it by its most popular nickname - Bokuten - the English version would still show up, while it wouldn't show up under just "Why I Became an Angel". This one DOES actually share its nickname with another VN though - Boku wa Tenshi Janai yo - but that is not a popular VN, so I doubt anyone is talking about that bokuten when it gets mentioned. A lot of the development teams even announce an "official" shortened name for the fanbase to use when talking about a visual novel. Tons of VN's have shortened names like this that you don't often see in their English titles though. Like Love, Elections, & Chocolate's shortened name is Koichoco from "Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate", Nukitashi is shortened from "Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii Desu ka?" cause no one in their right mind would constantly refer to it that way, and they used that for the English title. Uso kara Hajimaru Koi no Natsu got shortened to its nickname "UsoNatsu" for the English title as well, and with ones that aren't in English they still get shortened, Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete got shortened to "Waremete", all the Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke o titles got shortened to Sonohana but kept their full translated titles in English of "A Kiss for the Petals". The short names are useful to talk about stuff quickly, but it can definitely be confusing if people use different nicknames to talk about the same visual novel, or if nicknames get too close to one another.

  29. It would be far more preferable if you didn't resort to use MTL (ie ChatGPT), but you do you. Anyway, good luck with the project I guess, and I hope you can also improve your Japanese while at it so that sometimes you can translate the VN without using ChatGPT.

I tried answering until I realize I am unable to answer some question, either because I am not sure about the meaning of the question either because I am not familiar with the wording, either because I am unsure about the nuance with the question previously asked, I think you should either give a small description or a few examples to help people when such questions arise

PURE X CONNECT https://vndb.org/v16166 Description From the developers that brought you Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ Usami Hayato has yearned for a heart-throbbing romance for a long time, but instead is bored wasting time away everyday. He wishes to fall in love like in an eroge, but everyone just makes fun of him for it. His time came when he was asked to work part-time at a popular bakery restaurant named La Pivoine which just happens to be a garden filled with pretty workers. With the chance laid upon him, he thought its time to kiss his single life goodbye. Project Staff Translator: @tenshi25 Editor: @Meat_Bun1 Ryner Hacker: @Porygon2 Image Editor: @Philly Progress Common route patch released! Link Just extract patch inside game folder(Note: Large patch filesize is due to 900+ images). Patch is for original release, it will not work on HD version. Update: A guy contacted me letting me know he was working on a patch for just the HD version, he has a different translation for the common route, but we agreed to work together for the character routes(I intended to release a different version of my translation with honorifics, but his translation already has them, so I'll scrap that). Also, by working together we should be able to have both translations for both versions of the game.

He doesn’t know what she’s holding back. He just knows he wants to be there. But the closer he gets, the more he realizes: some people aren’t just quiet. They’re fading. A quiet and introspective high school student, Kuno spends most of his days drifting through life, neither fully detached nor entirely present. After losing his parents, he learned to live independently, finding solace in routine. His world is dull, colorless—until he meets Mai Fujisaki. Mai is a girl who seems almost unreal, as if she exists on the edges of the world rather than within it. 36. The day has come, I have decieded to port GFL to Visual novel form (Renpy) This is the place to keep track of the project! - Introduction: Girls' Frontline (少女前线) is a mobile strategy role-playing game for ANDROID EMULATOR ON PC developed by China-based studio MICA Team, where players control echelons of android characters, known in-universe as T-Dolls, each carrying a distinctive real-world zoom banger. - The game was released in Mainland China on 20 May 2016 in Hong Kong and Taiwan on 18 January 2017, and in South Korea on 30 June 2017. - And The global English version was released on 8 May 2018, while the Japanese version was released on 1 August 2018 under the title Dolls Frontline (ドールズフロントライン) due to the Girls' Frontline trademark in Japan already being held by another registrant. - Also Girls' Frontline is a prequel of another game developed by MICA Team, Codename: Bakery Girl, released in 2013 - The Game is set in a War-torn future where tactical dolls, more commonly known as T-Dolls, are almost exclusively used for combat in place of humans, some having been repurposed from their previous life as civilian androids. The majority of the world is uninhabitable due to contamination from the Collapse Fluid, and much of humankind is dead. In 2062, the artificial intelligence of Sangvis Ferri (SF) spontaneously rebels against humanity, with their T-Dolls and robots killing their human masters and taking over nearby areas. In response, the private military company (PMC) Griffin & Kryuger (G&K) is hired to contain and eliminate Sangvis Ferri forces; the player assumes the role of a recently promoted G&K Commander The base storyline focuses on the adventures of this commander and the Anti-Rain (AR) Team consisting of M4a1, STAR-15, m4 SOP(O)mod ii, M16a1, and RO (635). Other important characters include the commander's logistics officer, Kalina, AK-12, AN-94, AK-15, RPK-16 and Angelia of Squad DEFY and Squad 404, made up of UMP45, UMP9, 416, and Gr G11. - Enough copy and paste from the Wiki, I have been playing this game since August 2019 and being a daily login commander since, I'm very impressed how the writing and the world of this game set in, so I want to bring this to a bigger screen... (most GFL player already play this game on their pc) and no, only the visual novel part! - The game currently have ~40 main chapter and ton of side story, not counting ~9 Collab story, and tons of Individual character event/story, each can last from 10 minutes to 3 hours! - Goal: my goal is to preserve the game In an offline Visual Novel form, while keeping the "vibe" of the in game visual novel as close as possible including sprite Animation, sound and VFX - Off course, this can't be done perfectly while I have some personal editorial bias toward the visual novel "quality of life" aspect, but don't worry, I will try to keep the script 100% to the original. - The other goal is to create a general archive of GFL, including but not Limited to Sprite/CG/Music/Character info. - And finally, here's the progress of this project and stuff to do that will be constantly updated: Script Porting Progression : chapter 10_5 singularity UI Progression: not so basic UI Navigation MUSIC PLAYER: NA GALLERY: NA CHAPTER UI: Goal is to emulate in game story UI (except for Longitudinal Strain) Skill level in making this happen: Worse than Yandev NOT GET DMCA FROM THE MAN HIMSELF : MERRY CHRISTMAS GAME IS OUT IN BETA! 37. Outside of Japan, vndb.org seems to be the biggest information source about ADV-style games and Japanese eroge. Over the years several people have contributed to the website building a robust database. But the website founder who goes by Yorhel, is an extreme narcissist and hypocrite. Recently they have been pushing their personal agenda in form of absurd misinformation in quite a vigorous manner. They have no respect for the artists or the artform, and they'll do anything in their power to suppress facts against them. This includes gaslighting, abusing their position to ban and even delete posts on the website. Some of you might've been keeping up with these certain events, and already have an idea as to what I am talking about. But for those who might be clueless, I'll explain everything in as much detail as I can. It will make this post quite long, but it's better to be clear about everything. First I'll have to explain the pseudoscience of "Gender Identity" or "Gender Theory". Most of you probably already know about it, since it's practically everywhere these days; and some of you will even take offense here. But in case someone doesn't understand what I talking about, I'll explain it. The ideology or theory of "Gender Identity" is a new pseudoscience that has been getting popular recently. This pseudoscience claims that the concept of gender is made up, a "Societal Construct" they call it. According to this asinine theory, the concept of man and woman are merely an object of mind with no connection to material reality. In accordance to this theory; at birth a child is "Assigned" a "Gender", and then they are expected to play the role of the "Assigned Gender"; and that's how people end up "Identifying" as "Man" or "Woman". Simply put, this ideology claims that a person's "Gender" isn't defined by his/her gender (his/her body); but instead it's defined by the stereotype one decides to play. This forms the basis for all kinds of insanity. And people who refuse to play along with this insanity, are said to be committing "discrimination" or "hate crime". The founder of vndb.org Yorhel is a strong believer of this pseudoscience. They have been pushing changes to the website to make it more "Gender Inclusive". Yorhel claims that they are completely unbiased on the matter; their justification for these changes been that western games with "Gender Identity" characters are on the rise, and they only want to represent this new genre. That's a hypocritic lie; a simple tag such as "Gender Diverse Characters" or something along those lines would've sufficed to represent this genre. Instead they want this pseudoscience to be represented in vast detail. They have introduced several new tags for both games and characters, like "Engaged in Group Sex of Multiple Males, Females and at least one Gender Nonconforming Individual". What does that really mean? It means that at least person involved in the act believes themselves to be a different "Gender". So it's the same as saying "Engaged in Group Sex of Multiple Males, Females and at least one Christian" or "Engaged in Group Sex of Multiple Males, Females and at least one Flat-earther". When these changes were introduced months ago, I tried to voice my objection. Yorhel wasted no time, instantly taking down my post. And I mean that in literal sense, they reacted a couple of seconds after I had made the post. I then got into a direct conversation with Yorhel, their intention being to intimidate and lecture me. This turned into a long and infuriating argument that went on for almost two days. (It wasn't a real time chat, we seem to be from time zones so we checked each other's messages at our time) Like I said it was a long and heated argument, I for myself losing my cool after dealing with this for a whole day. I can't mention everything that happened, but I'll try to mention all the important details; while also trying my best to not turn this into a complete rant. And here is link to one of my discussion posts that Yorhel hasn't deleted yet; instead they had immediately locked it right after banning me. https://vndb.org/t22172 During my long argument with Yorhel I tried voicing my concerns as this push will lead to misrepresentation and mislabelling of games. Believers of “Gender Theory” would mislabel several tropes found in anime and manga for sake of their agenda. This became one of the central points in the argument. I’ll explain these tropes in case someone is not familiar with it. Otokonoko (男の娘), also known as Josou(女装); outside of Japan this trope has names like “trap", “tomgirl", “femboy", etc. This is a character trope in Japanese media that’s generally about crossdressing boys. Specifically, it refers to boys who have strikingly feminine features, to a point where he looks very much like a girl. It usually involves crossdressing in feminine clothes to further push this concept of “a boy who looks like a girl”. Either the character himself will have a preference for feminine fashion, or he will be forced into crossdressing in comedic scenarios. Since we are discussing this, this character trope has nothing to do with the pseudoscience of “Gender Identity”. The character isn’t crossdressing because he believes himself to be a different “Gender". Futanari (フタナリ), also known as “dickgirl" in english. This is a fictional trope about females with male genitals. That is, a fictional woman who has a penis. Usually fictional devices such as magic are employed to explain it, or sometimes the character is said to be naturally like that. This is a trope that defies reality in fiction, similar to how a fantasy author may choose to make the earth flat. It has no connection to, and doesn’t adhere to pseudoscience of “Gender being a made up thing". Tomboy; is a character trope that is less obscure than the other two I mentioned; and I assume everyone is familiar with it. It refers to young girls who take on a “Boyish" attitude. It’s a character trope that challenges traditional gender norms, but not in the sense of “Identifying as a different gender if you don’t fit in with the stereotypical women”. During my argument with Yorhel, they kept asserting how they have every right to force their personal beliefs onto these games. They acted exactly how you would expect a narcissist to, pulling all kinds of word tricks and sh!t games. At first they tried to turn the blame on me, telling me to “accept other people’s opinions”. I made myself clear that I don’t care about opinions, especially when they are wrong; and moreover this is about facts. Obviously they followed this with “What facts are you even talking about?”. When I mentioned my concern about works being mislabeled and misrepresented giving the example of Otokonoko, they quickly snapped at me, “As a matter of definition it is". I asked what did they even knew about it, and it turned out they were not at all familiar with the mentioned character trope. I explained the trope in detail, in order to make things clear. But now I get “but there is no consensus on the definition of Otokonoko/trap". It had became clear what motives this person had. But I still tried to reason with them. Getting frustrated I stated the very obvious, these games and characters have nothing to do with the pseudoscience of “Gender Identity” because that was never the intention of the authors and artists. As for what Yorhel had to say about this, these are exactly their words- “Does author intention even matter?” “Shouldn’t it depend on how one interprets it?” (or more specifically how they want to interpret it) This level of narcissism is sickening. This person is straight up telling me that someone’s work isn’t defined by the artists themselves; instead it should be presented in accordance to this person’s will. As an artist myself I took offense over such absurdity. That was a summary of what went down during my argument with Yorhel. They want facts to thrown out, and straight up told me that they have every right to misrepresent and mislabel other people’s work in accordance to their agenda. Like all believers of pseudoscience, they simply want to assert validation of their personal beliefs. And even after making such outrageous arguments, they still had the gall to say that they are completely impartial on the matter. After this I created a new discussion posts, the one I have linked to up above. This is where Yorhel finally banned me with a gaslighting effort. They then quickly locked the post to cut off any further discussion on the topic. And that wasn’t it, a couple of months later I created an alt account to start a new discussion post. This was one final attempt at negotiating a possible middle ground. This post was about suggestions of certain restrictions that would avoid mislabeling whilst still keeping these new tags. The very second this post was uploaded; and I mean it, the very second it was uploaded it got wiped off the website. This told me that Yorhel is now straight up suppressing any voice against their agenda. Yorhel has crossed all lines, proving themselves to be an extreme narcissist who has no respect for artists. Their personal agenda is all that matters to them now. They have already been pushing misinformation, and even suppressing facts. I know how controversial this could be. But I just wanted to dump out what I knew.

  38. You're missing the point. Those rules pre-date your posts on vndb, thus you are the one at fault. Unlike X, where there are hidden rules (basically anything Elon Musk doesn't like gets pushed down, and anyone who opposes him directly loses their verification), the rules are clearly stated. You made the choice to ignore them so you could 'make a point'. There was no conspiracy against you, nor was there a mysterious hidden agenda that you were exposing. You simply don't like certain viewpoints and decided to go out of your way to make a mess.

  39. Hello everyone, sorry if this has been discussed several times, but even after I studied the entire VNDB, I still couldn't find what I need (and even if I could, it's catastrophically small). I need a VN where the main character has sex with a robot, or at least something similar to this. I've been looking for at least something similar to a doll for a very long time, Carnival is unplayable, but a week ago I finished "Ayakashi Yuukaku ~Karakuri Jochuu no Mukashigatari~", and I'm very happy. But it is a VN with robots that I've been trying to find for so long. Something similar happened with Impromptu from "Okasare Yuusha II", and monsters from "Mommusu Quest". It could just be a machine, but the less human, the better (that's why I didn't like "Bishoujo Mangekyou -Kami ga Tsukuritamouta Shoujo-tachi-(BIMAN 3), but it's still a very good vn. To be honest, it doesn't even have to be a robot (but it's highly desirable). If there's something related to objects (just not artificial vaginas), then I'm also glad to know. If you need any details, I'll be happy to tell you, I don't know where to go anymore, but I hope you can tell me something. I can play both English and Japanese, via Textractor. Best regards.

To repack: packzip -w -15 -o "offset of the file you edited" "file_you_edited" "package_file_you_want_to_want_to_modify" Example: packzip -w -15 -o 0x00139db4 "C:\Users\your_user\Downloads\Trick or Alice\output files\00139db4.__a" "C:\Users\your_user\Downloads\Trick or Alice\package.dat" The offset of each file is the name of the file itself (with "0x" in front of it). I haven't tried modifying a lot of files so I don't really know how the repack of a whole folder would work but I guess it's easy. Let me know if it works

  45. > STEAM DEMO < This story takes place in a world governed by the Numerals, powerful ancient creatures known as Arkhe, representing the essence of creation itself. The Arkhe divided the world two thousand years ago and crafted diverse races to rule. But over time, a struggle for supremacy ignited among them, sparking an enduring conflict that still rages on. The game features a visual novel where your plot choices influence the story's development. It is narrated from the perspectives of two characters: Derg and Agatha. Derg's dialogue is highlighted in blue, while Agatha's is in pink, making it easy to follow each character's viewpoint. You can also explore and investigate by clicking on active points in certain areas, receiving descriptions through character dialogue. Each scene is designed to keep you engaged from the start of the adventure! Meet Agatha and Derg, an unlikely duo whose partnership defies expectations. Derg, the stoic Elite soldier, and Agatha, the compassionate mage, may seem like opposites, but together they forge an unbreakable bond. Derg's reserved demeanor hides a heart of steel, while Agatha wears her emotions on her sleeve. Their contrasting personalities add depth to their compelling tale as they navigate the challenges. As the game progresses, you will control each character in turn and see the world from different perspectives to solve its mysteries! Derg - A member of the Elite Unit of One, he wields his sword with unmatched skill and unwavering loyalty. - Reserved and stoic, he hides his emotions and rarely forms close bonds. - He thinks before he speaks, remains calm, and is challenging to unsettle. - He's working alone, but duty always comes first. Even if it means a mission with a new partner... Agatha. Agatha - Self-taught sorceress and budding scientist with a knack for geography. - Emotional and compassionate, she adores all creatures and is ever ready to lend a hand. - She'd heard plenty about Derg and was thrilled to team up with him. Yet, her excitement faded away when she discovered his true nature... What's in store for them on their shared adventure? It's all up to the choices you make! We'd really appreciate it if you could give the game a go and give us your feedback!

  47. What is an OELVN? OELVN is an acronym that stands for Original English Language Visual Novel. If you're on Fuwanovel, you know what a visual novel is already. An OELVN is just that, but it's native language is English. An OELVN can be a commercial product, but a lot of them are actually free-to-play. Why are you making this list? Recently, I had to read an OELVN for the Fuwanovel review team. As someone with very little experience with that area of visual novels, I took to looking around the forums to get inspiration on what to read. Not surprisingly, there wasn't a real resource to be found on Fuwanovel that provided an excellent jumping point into that area of the medium. This was later brought up during brainstorming with the visual novels discussion moderating team and that provided me the impetus I needed to start this list. What is this List? As the title implies, this list aims to provide information on OELVNs that might be worth reading to you as a fan of the medium at large. I hope it'll be a good jumping point for those in the Fuwanovel community who want to read OELVNs, but don't know where to begin. As well, I hope it might also spark some curiosity for those who might have little-to-no interest in OELVNs. This will be by no means a comprehensive list. It is one put together through the generous input of a handful of Fuwanovelers and through other resources and reviews that I could find on the internet. What do you mean by 'notable'? This is not an exact qualification. I'm taking titles that have interesting sounding narratives, favorable critical reception, or professional quality production value and putting them together in a list that will hopefully be of interest to those interested in starting to read OELVNs. Some titles on this list will be commercial works, others will be free. Why are you writing this list? It's true that I myself have very limited experience with OELVNs, and I'm not the most comfortable putting together a list like this that doesn't rely heavily on personal recommendations, but it's a good chance for me to maybe discover new things to read as well as share what I find with the community. Now, without further ado... The Fuwanovel List of Notable OELVNS Air Pressure by Bento Smile Notable Tags: Only a Single Heroine, Multiple Endings, Lots of Choices This one is really short, but it has impact. Saying anything more might ruin the experience for you, it might be better to make the connections yourself. Where to play: Kongregate (online), Official Site (download) Analogue: A Hate Story by Christine Love Notable Tags: Mystery, Romance, Science Fiction If you keep up with visual novels, you're likely at least marginally aware of Christine Love and her works. Analogue: A Hate Story is an interesting work, putting you (the player) in the seat as a character in the novel, unraveling the grim details of what befell the crew of the Mugunghwa. If you are finding yourself put off by the art, you shouldn't let that stop you. It is an excellent story, with an interesting narrative device, that will likely leave some lingering feelings after all is said and done. You can find a demo here. The game has a direct sequel, Hate Plus: ~Mute's Golden Days~. Where to buy: Steam, Desura Autumn's Journey by Apple Cider Notable Tags: Otome Game, Fantasy This is a short one, clocking in at around an hour. The story and setting isn't my cup of tea, but it does have excellent production values. The art has a very professional luster and the music is excellent. There's really no downside to trying it out, it's free and the time commitment is minimal. Where to download: Official Site Bacchikoi! by BlackMonkey Pro Notable Tags: Shounen AI, Yaoi, Baseball Club, Lots of Event CGs For those of you that enjoy boy love. This looks to have a really clean presentation. A bit pricey, particularly the uncensored version. Where to buy: Official Site Bermuda by InvertMouse Notable Tags: Linear Plot, Protagonist with Voice Acting This is a visual novel crafted by our very own InvertMouse. It's fully voice acted, looks good, and has some pretty cool design choices for a visual novel. A demo can be found on his official site below. Where to buy: Official Site Cave! Cave! Deus Videt by We Are Muesli Notable Tags: Lots of Choices, Minimalist Sprites This looks pretty esoteric and weird, inspired by the works of Jheronimus Bosch. Might be worth a read if you're into that sort of thing. Where to download: Official Site Cinders by MoaCube & sakevisual Notable Tags: Female Protagonist, Fairy Tale, Multiple Endings Cinders is a retelling of the story of Cinderella, one that places an emphasis on the choice of the reader. The art assets look very nice and have a storybook charm, but there's some mixed reception. From what I can tell, it's on the short side. You can try a demo here. Where to buy: Steam, Official Site Clannad -The Past Path- by Scope Games Notable Tags: Fan Fiction, 80's, Early Branching Plot, High Amount of Bad Endings I haven't played this one, but I thought it would be worthwhile to mention it. It's an unofficial prequel to Clannad made in the Ren'py engine. It's free and the developer's site says it takes between 5-10 hours to 100%. Be warned, it does contain spoilers for Clannad. Where to download: Ren'Ai Archive Death Rule: lost code by MESI Games Notable Tags: Multiple Stories, Battle Royale, Third Person Narrative Haven't played this one, but it's a death game story. The premise will probably either remain interesting or be very tiring for you by now. Might be worth checking out, it's free. Where to download: Official Site Digital: A Love Story by Christine Love Notable Tags: Linear Plot, 80's, Internet This is the spiritual predecessor to Analogue: A Hate Story, made for the NaNoRenO. It employs a similarly unconventional storytelling approach as Analogue: A Hate Story, with the narrative entirely unfolding through BBS conversations in the late 80's. It's a cool concept, the story is engaging, and it's free. If you plan on reading A Hate Story, consider reading this one first as some aspects of Hate Story will spoil the ending to Love Story. Where to download: Official Site Doki Doki no Obama by Chris Sommer Notable Tags: Parody, Politics This might seem like a joke suggestion, but I promise this game is actually fairly amusing. It's obviously not the most high-brow political satire, but it has more to it than you might actually expect. Try it out, it's free and pretty funny. Where to download: 2014 Indie Game Maker Contest don't take it personally, babe, it just ain't your story by Christina Love Notable Tags: LGBTQ, Teacher Protagonist, Adolescent Romance don't take it personally, babe, it just ain't your story is the spiritual sequel of sorts to Digital: A Love Story. One isn't necessary to understand the other however, so you can think of it as a stand alone work. Where to download: Official Site Dysfunctional Systems: Learning to Manage Chaos by Dischan Media Notable Tags: Science Fiction, Female Protagonist This is the first episode of the Dysfunctional Systems story, with the second one slated for some time this year. I adore the art style of this game and you can't really go wrong with the price point of $4.99. Where to buy: Steam, Official Site Jisei, Kansei, Yousei by sakevisual Notable Tags: Murder Mystery, Superpowers This is a trilogy about a teenager with the power to relive the final, dying moments of corpses. The games look nice enough, has a pretty decent premise, and from what I can tell, get progressively better as the series progresses. You can find a demo on the official site below. Also available for iOS. Where to buy: Official Site Juniper's Knot by Dischan Media Notable Tags: Kinetic Novel, Multiple Protagonists, Demon Protagonist, Shota Protagonist Another NaNoRenO game, this one is a story told from two different perspectives. The art is very slick and you can't go wrong with the price tag of free. Where to download: Official Site Katawa Shoujo by Four Leaf Studios Notable Tags: Slice of Life, High School, Disabled Heroine This one doesn't need any introduction. It's probably the most high-profile OELVN. Chances are you've already played this one, and if you haven't, you probably need to look no further on this list to find what to read. Where to download: Official Site Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade by Marcel Weyers & Lostwood LLC Notable Tags: Episodic Story, Cyberpunk, Dark Fantasy, Dystopia, Bloody Scenes An interesting premise and setting. It's an episodic game, with the 1st episode being free. They seem to be currently trying to fund the final episode. Where to download/buy: Official Site Long Live the Queen by Hanako Games Notable Tags: Raising Simulation, Medieval Fantasy, Female Protagonist It's hard to put into words just exactly why I enjoyed this game as much as I did. The art quality varies, topping out at alright and the music is pretty generic and forgettable. The "gamey" aspects of it lose value after a single play through. Reading it was fun though. Collecting all the ways the princess can die in an achievement collecting like fashion has a certain morbid charm to it and the setting is surprisingly grim. You can find a trial version on the official site below. Where to buy: Steam, Official Site Loren the Amazon Princes by Winter Wolves Notable Tags: Medieval Fantasy, Fantasy,RPG This is something of a visual novel/RPG hybrid, though. The RPG elements are a bit bland and the combat interface leaves a lot to the imagination, but it looks good, has an alright story, and it does have elements of character creation if you're into that sort of thing. The big downside is that the bundle that includes the dlc is a bit on the pricey side. Where to buy: Steam, Official Website Nicole by Winter Wolves Notable Tags: Otome Game, Mystery, Raising Simulation, Dating Simulation This one isn't really my kind of game, but it's worth mentioning. It looks kind of like your standard otome dating sim, but with the plus of having some great looking art assets. I've read that the writing is kind of cheesy, which could be a plus or negative depending on your tastes. On top of it all, there's supposed to be a yuri version of the game released at some point. You can find a demo on the official site below. Where to buy: Steam, Official Site RE: Alistair by sakevisual & Mugenjohncel Notable Tags: Otome Game, Dating Simulation Once again not exactly my kind of game, but the description makes it seem charming enough. The art looks decent enough, it's free, and its on the short side. Might be worth checking out. Where to download: Official Site Sunrider by Love in Space Notable Tags: Science Fiction, Mecha Combat, Starship Combat, War I'm currently playing through this one myself at the moment. The game looks nice in some select areas, but it is lacking in others and you may find certain 3D elements to be incongruent with the rest of the game. The story doesn't really seem that exceptional yet, but the game play is pretty decent and it's easily available on steam for the low time price of free. Where to buy/download: Steam That Cheap and Sacred Thing by carosene Notable Tags: Female Protagonist, Kinetic Novel, Science Fiction This one comes in at around an hour and I found it surprisingly touching. It has some pretty interesting (if common) themes, but they might seem a bit underdeveloped due to the length of the game. Nevertheless, it's a cool setting with a story that's worth the read. Check it out, it's free. Where to download: Lemma Soft The Dandelion Girl by /jp/ project Tags: Literary Adaptation, Time Travel, Kinetic Novel, Science Fiction, Adult Protagonist This is a literary adaptation of a short story by Robert F. Young. It seems to have a decent reception. If you're into that sort of thing, check it out: it's free! Where to download: VN-Meido The Elevator by Cyanide Tea Notable Tags: Adult Protagonist, Detective Protagonist, Slice of Life This is a free game that seems to be about a relatively simple, human story. I'm looking forward to setting aside the time to play it. Where to download: Official Site The Knife of the Traitor by Clua Notable Tags: Female Protagonist, Mystery, God Hero I included this on this list because of how interesting this title looks. The game's art and sense of style is eye-catching, the synopsis is very curious, and it's free and short. On the whole it looks like a charming title that's worth to try out. Where to download: Lemma Soft The Royal Trap by Hanako Games Notable Tags: Proactive Protagonist, Otome Game, Intrigue This one looks interesting. The art is decent, I actually hear the story is pretty good, and a premise of playing as a well-bred lady whose job it is to mold a prince into marriageable material is an intriguing premise. Throw in some court intrigue and I think this one is worth a look. Where to buy: Official Site The 39 Steps by The Story Mechanic Notable Tags: Literary Adaptation, Interactive Adventure Game, Protagonist with Voice Acting, Crime This is a curious title that never shows any of the characters on screen, but in its stead it's fully voice acted. An interesting concept. It is based on a book, which has a number of movie adaptations. From what I've heard, it's very faithful to its source material. Where to buy/download: Amazon, Steam Witches & Woodlands by Jan-Poo Notable Tags: Parody, Fan Ficion, Metafiction, Kinetic Novel I thought this might be of interest as this is a free Umineko fan parody. From what I've heard, it's actually pretty funny. Where to download: Official Site X-Note by Zevia Inc Notable Tags: Otome Game, Multiple Route Mystery, Murder Mystery It's an interesting synopsis, looks pretty good, and the few reviews I've found for it seem to be in agreement that the story is at least solid, if not good. There is a demo available on the site below. Where to buy: Official Site Some titles you might want to keep an eye out for in the future: Exogenesis - this one has really caught my curiosity. Lucid9 Huniepop - I'm far more excited for this one than I probably should be. Queen At Arms Violet Hill Waxwing Notable sites, tools, and resources: Planet EVN - a regularly updated blog about OELVNs Lemma Soft - discussion and development boards for visuals novels, datings sims, and story based games. Ren'Ai Archive - archive games made with the Ren'Py engine, a free software engine to build visual novels. Be weary, there's a lot of stuff in there that ranges from not-so-good to shit. Steam: Visual Novels Visual Novel Database Change Log: This list will continue to be a work in progress. I'm looking to further expand on it as I discover new titles and new games are released. If you have any suggestions on something to add or would like to point out something I glaringly missed, feel free to do so. Once again, this isn't a definitive, comprehensive list. It's not a list of 10 out of 10 games. They're "notable." You might find them interesting as fans of visual novels, you might even love them, but your mileage will vary. Credits: My thanks to Rooke, Ryechu, InvertMouse, and Down for their input in putting together this list.

  48. Full Metal Daemon Muramasa (Soukou Akki Muramasa - 装甲悪鬼村正) JAST Store page (uncensored) GOG Store page (GOG version uncensor patch) SUMMARY This is not a story of heroes. Since time immemorial, warriors called musha have ruled the battlefield, granted supernatural power by their enchanted suits of armor - tsurugi. Minato Kageaki is one such musha, driven by duty to don his crimson armor and challenge the greatest evils of an age. But though madmen and tyrants fall to his blade, never will he claim that his battle is right. For the tsurugi he wields is cursed Muramasa, which five centuries ago brought ruin to the land, and innocent blood is the price it demands in exchange for its terrible might. "Where there are demons, I slay them. Where there are saints, I slay them." These words are an oath, the unbreakable Law binding him to his armor. But they also tell the story of his past, and of the future to come. ENDING GUIDELINE By default, Full Metal Daemon Muramasa has 3 routes, 2 of them initially unlocked (Hero and Nemesis). Completing both routes allow you to access the true end route: Conqueror. Other than that, you can complete any of those routes by any order. However, it is recommended for you to go through your first playthrough blind, so you'll be able to get the full feel of this story. To give you some hints: ROUTE GUIDELINE Hero Route [Ichijou Ayane end] Nemesis Route [Kanae Ohtori end] Conqueror Route [Evil Demon True End] Conqueror Route [Demon End] Conqueror Route [Devil End - Chachamaru] Attribution Guide from Otaku Lair - where this walkthrough is based and omitted Seiya-Saga - guide in Japanese
