Interestingly, even though cinders recently got on steam it didn't do very well and moacube is apparently in the red since the leader spent moneys trying to get it up. If you open the batch file for I/O, you can actually see the intended values as well. Of particular interest is whether the path to your game folder is correct. I don't really know what else could be the problem if there's nothign wrong with the entries. I guess you could try compatibility modes, but it's been confirmed to work in at least one windows 8.1 setup in testing. This is how the keys look on my computer. I might have changed some values, but probably not a lot of them... In general, for this kind of edge case it might just be better to install the vn from scratch using an ISO, mounting etc. It's possible the installer is able to check for compatibility issues and adapt to them.

It's got AR8, which makes some of the faster parts near unreadable. It should really have been AR9. I can't play it with HR either b/c it's too high AR, but I fail at AR8 due to said reading problems and it just being hard in general... so kinda fucked there. Also, six fucking minutes? Jesus. Shitatori in G-sen due to massive change in tone from ch3 (first completed route, oh god.) Shizuru in Rewrite because she's such a moe character, and also pretty cool conceptually. The pacing is terribly off, and the ending decision by Kotarou didn't make sense to me either. It /still/ doesn't after I read some theories on it.
