    A slider might better really, if possible. Sure you can increase it to 7 or 8, but that's hardly future-proof. But yeah I don't use the feature at all...

    Well, people who can't read Japanese (this includes me) pretty much have to judge based on the translated stuff that's out there. Moege is easier to translate.

    The section where you have to make choices and it goes with some half-surrealistic tone in Swan Song is honestly pretty effective. It's not "hard" to pick the "right" ones, but I tried to pick the "wrong" one each time... not to mention that there actually is an "opinion" question, though I don't think it changes anything overall. Pressure selecting a choice can be found in School Days, and I'm not sure if I liked it to be honest. It's certainly thematically appropriate that you can say nothing and be interpreted as indecisive though (amusingly, go with no decision, ever.. and you'll get a good Sekai end.) Playing Fate/Stay Night without a walkthrough made me feel like I really was in the Grail War due to the many bad endings possible (fifty -the choices aren't necessarily obvious, but I feel that just adds to it), and I think that kind of thing should be replicated more if possible. Preferably with the hint room mechanic in F/SN. To be honest though, I like the route approach, especially when handled as very separate branches like F/SN does. Some amount of linearity is very useful for creating a cohesive story, which I prefer over something free but ultimately shallow.

    It would be kind of funny to abridge Katawa Shoujo, it's been done quite well in some comic strips. It would also be be against their CC license, but whether anyone gives a shit is debateable (arguably covered under fair use as parody in the US as well? I suppose you might have to rely too heavily on the original assets...). Of course doing it to anything Japanese would have equal legal status, but with fan patches the way they are it's kind of a moot point in that case.

    I generally use the "view new content" button, but I suppose it doesn't really do the same thing since it also gets updated topics (and these days you'll prolly have to go to page 2 if you want to catch everything.) That said, not entirely relevant to this.
