Thanks for that detailed explanation, you really opened up what I knew so far about the Japanese language, I thought I could just learn hiragana and katakana and go straight to reading, but apparently my delusions skipped some very important details that you pointed out. I hope you didn't take that Nukige joke seriously,lol, because learning japanese with woman moaning obscene sounds would probably not help with my learning. Thanks for the recommendation, that's what i'm going to do right now, trying to learn the alphabet of the japanese language, It is kind of frustrating in a way considering how you have like 3 tables instead of one table with 26 letters...so I will admit it is a lot more difficult that what I expected. Even though I know the meaning behind the kanji,the pronunciation is different so I still have to learn about it to get the way it sounds,can't avoid all of it sadly.

So I got this sudden urge to learn Japanese recently, I don't exactly know why, maybe because i have a lot of spare time to waste, so I decided I wanted to learn some Japanese. The motivation was so that I can fap to all those delicious Nukiges out there , but jokes aside, my goal is pretty ambitious.......I want to read VNs made by the company:Light, and I know it is going to be a really long and tough road to the goal, but I'm prepared and ready. I love action packed VNs, and the language barrier is always strong with action VNs, and as far as I know, Light makes the best of them, so that is my final goal right there. Here are the advantages I have: 1. I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese, so I know a lot of Kanji , huge+ right there, 2. I have watched anime for a couple of years now, and I can understand common daily Japanese terms when spoken verbally, as in I can understand the words when someone else speaks them, but I can't read the Japanese characters. i'm currently using this guide, So if you guys have any suggestions and/or tips and tricks you are willing to enlighten me with, I would appreciate it, also if there are groups learning Japanese/ other resources or anything like that, please do tell, because I don't know much about these kinda stuff considering how I spend most of my time in The Coliseum Lastly, a quick couple of questions: approximately how long would it take to reach my goal? do we have any native speakers on the forum? how would you learn the Jargons?

Tough choice here.....I do like anime more because of the sound track,the voice acting, and of course the animation....but a bad anime adaptation from manga would sway me to the manga side, its like this: manga is always good, but the anime can be better or worse,depending on how well it did. It's a really great game, and I liked it alot, had lots of action, It has pretty damn good story too, and trust me, the game gets you hooked so much once you finish the first route and you start the second one,because your always curious and the curiosity does not die out, although the grind did make me back away after I beat Baldr sky dive 1, sucks you have to use the VNR with bad translation ,I played it in chinese, they did a pretty good job translating it, oh well, I can at least give you the walk-through and some tips on the combat( I have like 80 hours on there, and I am proud to say I get the hang of the combat system)

Basically what I'm saying is I'm putting The Agave route on hold until S is translated, and when S is translated , I'll finish Agave route and dive straight to S so It feels like there is no blank space in between, kind of like how you would want to play a game and its sequel in continuity without playing anything else in between. I Know S is a Sequel to Majikoi, but I didn't know it was a sequel to the Agave route, do you need to get the hermit crab and future without relationship endings in the Original Majikoi or does S fill that in automatically?

Spent the past few days Finishing up Majikoi, Finished Mayucchi, all sub routes, and Momoyo route, and what I have to say is I'm saving Agave route for when the Majikoi S patch comes out, they day it comes out, I'm gonna go finish Agave and go straight to S, for now I'm gonna go finish up Comyu - Kuroi Ryuu to Yasashii Oukoku, I'v had that on hold for a while.

I'm also a pretty big Kamen Rider Fan, and my all time favorite would be KABUTO!!!!! Best Kamen Rider IMO, , I was just remembering about it yesterday as I was playing Majikoi, that reference made me so nostalgic , I have also watched Line Rider as well, and OOO when it came out, but Kabuto will remain my #1 Kamen Rider

I had two dorm-mates last year, and it was my first year of college, I can really understand how you feel because I feel like my room is kind of a safe haven where you can do whatever you want, I got along with both of my dorm mates really well, I talked to them often and it was really fun when we did that, but there is less freedom and more interference, like you can't watch movies or listen to music when someone else is in the room( we all used headphones, but having headphones on for a long time can be annoying), and pray that your dorm-mates are not in a relationship..... One of mine had a gf and it was so damn annoying...sometimes they would stay up late at night watching youtube vidoes...without the fucking headphones on...you can't really share headphones, and buds don't work that well since its one ear, sometimes they would have fights early in the morning....other times I would walk in, and it's totally dark ,looks at clock, 3 pm....da fuq? oh..its my dorm-mate and his gf sleeping....trust me, this was really annoying...and this was only half the time her being in our room and not him being in her room...they lived on the same floor. They were both nice people that were laid back, we never gotten into fights, not even arguments, we got along really well. It can be annoying sometimes because having other people in the dorm did affect my ability to concentrate and study somewhat, because when they are playing on the xbox and you have to study, its kinda hard..... That is all I have to say, and oh, one last thing...Freshman are the bottom of the food chain, you don't get what you want...so sucks , but everyone of us has to take it once

Still playing Majikoi, just finished Miyako's route, It was pretty good actually, the first half is so freaking boring and such a drag, but later on it gets good and it gets real good, it worked out really well because the first half was so boring, so the climb to the climax felt pretty intense. Going to do Mayucchi's route next, also does anyone know if you get CGs in bad ends or it has nothing to do with CGs?
