  1. You learned Unlimiteto Buredo Works. However, you from the future came back to kill you. I wish for more CP episodes.
  2. I just found out you have a copyright article on FAQ .-. Actually, I'm yet to talk to you mote than 10 lines or so, so this is the first time I learned clearly of some of your positions. The "we" I talked about was because pretty much every member I talked to seem to support your position, but I guess I was being kind of generic there. Sorry. PS: This seem to have gotten way more feedback than I thought. Somehow I'm kind of happy by it XD
  3. I imagine so. Please, take a look at the video if you will. It explains everything that happened so far, and a lot of people are doing it. I find it innapropriate to describe it as "small".
  4. I live in Brazil, and we have been manipulated by the government since ever- Not really unlike what happens everywhere though. Most of the Brazilians have always been manipulated my mass media, and we never got the chance to fight for our own freedoms though. With the world cup projects as an excuse, the government raised taxes for a lot of stuff, and our money in general is being spent without our consent. Anyway, some time ago people made protest for a raise of 20 centavos (about 10 cents) on bus prices. While it may indeed sound insignificant, a lot of people suffered badly from it because of the incredible low average payment. That's beside the point though. The police reacted severely to this protest and people even got shoot at for doing nothing. The mass media, as always covered things up and it all should've ended there. But today eveyone with a cellphone can record stuff, meaning the truth of the police forces actions ended up on web. And now a lot of big protests are happening because of the police actions- Those protest are being answered with more violent opression from the government, and peaceful manifestations are being severely and violently punished. I'm not saying you should agree with the protest. If you agree with it or not, it doesn't really matter to the point I'm getting at here- What I want to say is that it was the internet which gave us the chance to know the truth. A lot of incidents like this already happened, and were mostly covered all these years. However, with help from the internet, people can know the truth and decide for themselves wheter we should or not fight for our rights. This is a video showing the protests situation until now: http://copaemcuiaba.com.br/ If you're interested in it, check it out. It was subbed by an amateur, but you can still get what happens on the picture. What I wanted to do here is just thank the internet, for giving us the chance of finding out the truth. PS: This topic may be a bit polemic, and it's not related to visual novels at all. If any of you judge appropriate to delete it, please do so. My intentions here are not to bring any disconfort to you guys, as I love this forums as much as you do. XD
  5. Nah, it's part of the fun.
  6. Obviously, when I say I want it to become big I expect it to do so while still keeping the friendly way. Things would probably need to become a bit more strict if this was a really big community, so I dunno. I want it to grow and keep like this as well, I guess. It may not be very realistic, though.
  7. Indeed, Mare is my waifu. She's just so cute
  8. Ooooh! you're from brazil as well, huh. We're on the same boat.
  9. So- I’ve been here for about one month and a half now, and I thought it’d be nice to say what I thought of fuwan until now. I’ll begin with the “main” focus (I really don’t like the term “main” here, still I couldn’t find any better one) which is VN distribution. If we’re only talking about numbers, fuwanovel certainly has less VNs than you can find on other places- I myself have about 10-20 VNs on my pc which you can’t find here. However, whenever I can I try to download stuff from here- This is most probably due to the fact that while I’m certainly a VN fan, I’m also a noob with computers, and often installing patches, extra stories and such lead to mistakes which I can’t quite understand. I think it’s incredibly good that you guys usually put pre-patched stuff, which helps quite a lot some people who don’t have knowledge about pcs in general. While I can use daemon tools and I don’t end up having beginner mistakes (problem with locale, files set to read-only, etc.) It still proves hard to me to install patches with confusing instructions and mostly sloppy and hard to understand writing. I’ll go straight to my impressions on tech support now- And I have to say I had errors with stuff from fuwanovel 3 times until now- And all of them weren’t common errors. Yet in all of the three times, in less than 5 hours I got a solution. (Thanks Zakamutt, Mephisto, Kendjin and Luch for helping by the way). This really left a good impression, as I already had to experience waiting for days for help with errors and often not even getting it, leading me to delete the VN from my pc without even reading it. Overall, I have a great impression on fuwan help with VN issues until now. I don’t have much to say about fuwanovel’s position on copyright in general- I couldn’t agree more with it. While I could argue about why here, you guys already did such a great job in defending your position that I really have nothing to say- It’d be pretty much a repetition of arguments I’ve heard from other members, so I really won’t bother. I’ll say a bit about the people as well- to me this is undoubtedly the best point of fuwan until now. People are actually friendly towards each other, and I don’t have to constantly worry about getting crap whenever I say something. It’s a sad truth, but in most places I’ve seen that talk about visual novels (or arguably, internet in general) have a really bad atmosphere. People seem to love hating, and that bothers me to no end. I usually don’t feel like I can say “I like this” without getting poisonous feedback from a great number of people- And having people who like the same things answering them in a poisonous way as well. You can definitely argue about fuwanovel being small- I’ve only really talked with 10-20 members, and these talks mostly happened on the IRC, and I can say that compared to most VN related sites, fuwan doesn’t seem to have all that much activity- However, I can also say that even if there aren’t much people talking at all, the benefits of having no haters are certainly worth it. And even non-serious, silly stuff like a cup noodles thread can get surprisingly enjoying if there’s no one trying to ruin the fun. I’ve found myself laughing at nonsensical conversations with members I didn’t knew all that well (My first line to solidbatman was something amongst the lines of “You shall be my imouto from now on!” since he greeted me with “welcome back, onii-chan”) without having to worry about being treated in a bad manner by people there. I could probably keep talking by hours about the IRC interactions I had- like the nicknaming trend I created, kuu and ryouuuuu-sempai unparalled Osu skills, the yuri story I’m making about fuwanovel (actually, thanks for the feedback. The next chapter is probably coming out this week), Archer (Kendjin) grief with frodo’s death and a lot more I’m not going to write here. This also applies to serious conversations. Even when talking about polemic stuff, people are always nice and respectful towards each other, which I personally think it’s great. Even when someone makes a mistake, there’s just and educated warning with no bad intentions explaining the error. This is the biggest reason of my activity on the forums, since if I ever screw up, I’m sure I won’t get a load of insults from everyone. This is also why I can believe that whenever I talk to a member I’m yet to know, I’m going to have an amiable chat, instead of hatred spam. And also the reason I encourage every other newcomer like me to try and talk to people here. You’ll definitely not regret it XD Gah, I somehow feel like I’m making propaganda now. Uuuh… That’s not my intention, though… Anyway! This is my honest impression of fuwanovel until now. While it may be incomplete, it touches on every major point I wanted to talk about- And I can say that I’m really glad of taking part on the forums now I seriously hope fuwan grows, and that it never loses its friendly atmosphere. I really like the forums now, and seeing people work hard for spreading Visual Novels is really a pleasure. I also hope someday I can take part of this as well. Thanks for all the members that showed me how fun it can be to be part of this.
  10. He does, and you lose the bet. I wish people corrupted wishes in a better way.
  11. And... It worked. No problems with the saving now. While it did suddenly disappear, I'm still a bit concerned about the problem with the sprites though. If anyone knows why it happened and why it stopped, it'd be nice.
  12. I'll try with the new data
  13. PS: the problem with the sprites solved itself. When I decided to play the game again, nothing of the sort happened. However, I still can't save the game.
  14. Nothing wrong if he said he wanted to be called like that, however, he didn't. Thus, I'm trying to go with a less offensive nickname, I guss. Kaa-kun, that's awful! you're making me look like that bad guy here.
  15. Ok, they're not set to read-only.
  16. Pics would help if I got any sort of error message and such- but I don't. The game just runs smoothly with these problems. The error about not being able to save gives no messages- I just click to save and nothing happens. I won't post pics of the second error because I find it inappropriate to post a pic of a sex scene with a character sprite covering the woman's vagina, I guess (no, it's not censorship as the first sex scene had nothing of the sort).
  17. So, first of all, I am running my computer with Non-Unicode Japanese. The game in question is "Yandere". While I can run and play it with no problems, two weird errors keep happening. These errors have actually been reported on the "Guest Comment" area on the VN title, but I've seen no reply to them, so I'll just post them here anyway. The first one, I can't save. This is not something like "I can't find the save menu" or such. What is happening is that if I click "Save Data" nothing happens. The game doesn't crash or anything, but I find myself unable to save. The second one, which is even more weird, is that the sprite of one of the characters keeps on the screen even if said character left the scene- Or even on the middle of a CG! It's quite a weird error, I'd say. The game pretty much goes on with the sprite being there forever- or until the character appears again, yet to leave another sprite when he leaves. My OS: Win7, 32 bit. I already tried re-running the game, Restarting my pc, re-downloading it, and running the game as an admin. I downloaded the game from fuwanovel. Well, that's about it.
  18. Hm. Yuri + Lolis huh. Dunno. Maybe Dual Phase, I guess. Loli yuri twincest ftw.
  19. Well, it's easy to figure it out, I guess. Otherwise your name would mean Snowdevil or something like that, which would be weird, I think. It would also be interesting, though. Oh well, welcome XD
  20. Because "Oni" means devil in Japanese, and I don't feel like trolling the newcomer.
  21. Illya may be nice, but the heroine trophy in Fate goes to Sakura. She may not have a great number of fans because she didn't have a route of her own, I guess.
  22. Hey there, yukioni. I'd like o call you yu-chin but Snow already fills yu-chin, huh. Meaning I can't call you Yuki. Therefore, I shall call you Io-tan! It seems like a nice name XD Well, if you're reading key visual arts stuff, why not try Little Busters? it's an incredibly good VN. I strongly recommend you to read it, specially if you liked Clannad. Well, since you seem to be new to the VN world, I'll leave you with 5 suggestions of great VNs to suit different genres. As I do not know your preferences yet, the list will have quite some different titles aimed at difference readers, I guess. I'll also give a short description of it's genre and what I thought of it. If you just want a romance, go with Katawa shoujo. Otherwise, why not try one of these: 1_Forest- A bunch of literary mentions to an incredible number of tales, I'd say this doesn't fit any genre description. It could be interpreted as "A tale about the meaning of tales", I'd say. If you're an avid book reader, you might want to check this out. 2_Umineko no Naku Koro Ni- Now, this one has an anime, so you might know a bit of it already. If you like mystery, hurry up and read it! I shall say no more of it, since it'd spoil the story. 3_G-Senjou no Maou- romance, drama, and a lot of moral development. Also, plotting, political intrigue and layer upon layer of interlocking traps shall wait you on this one! I definitely recommend it. 4_Fate Stay Night- I can't describe Fate, and my opinion towards it is indeed extremely biased- It has romance, but romance is not the focus to it... How can I put Fate into words, huh. Well, it's a fantasy. It is also the story of a completely ordinary person surpassing their limits selflessly and the conclusion- or maybe beginning of a long journey and an ideal. 5_Sengoku Rance- Hm. Comedy rape, strategy-based RPG with a guy who thinks he can have sex with the whole world? conquer all countries in Japan and fuck the princesses of them, I guess. If you like this kind of stuff, this is definitely a must play. I did promise to bring different alternatives to romance stories after all, so a H-oriented game might not be to bad. O.o Well, let's all get along on the forums, Io-tan! XD PS: I do not think I did a good job describing the VNs here. Those are just a few of their points, and probably in most cases those aren't even the more important points. Anyway, I hope you like fuwan.
  23. Hello there. I third "play Little Busters"; It's just that awesome.
  24. I'll take Rika and Hanyuu from Higurashi XD
  25. granted, thus the law of identity falls. I wish I was GAR
