  1. I'll change the world. And when I do, I'll become the newcomer again! *eyes blazing with determination* Well, jokes aside, Clannad is quite a nice VN. Do you have any other VN you really liked?
  2. Welcome! I hope you like the forums! ...So, now that the generic greeting is over, what were your favorite Visual Novels? I hope we get along ^^
  3. Uah! I'm gradually losing my newcomer stauts! Give it back to me! Anyway, welcome! I hope you enjoy the forums XD
  4. By the way, when I say "good" on the title I mean whatever you guys like. VNs, just like books and other story-telling entertainments can bring some deep reflections about things in your life (or even about life itself). That's probably one big reason as to why I enjoy them so much, though I'd say this is actually a bonus in the whole VN and that they don't need to bring any reflection to be great (Yeah, I may be contradicting myself but whatever). If we're talking about personal examples, I'd say playing Clannad actually helped me to sort my life (A terrifying power indeed O.o). I'd say Key VNs in general make you think deeply about your life. Anyway, this isn't the point if this post (My bad habit of saying a lot of unrelated stuff while talking before actually entering a topic apperently shows up in my writing as well, huh?). We all know what they can bring while you play them, but what happens when you finish a good one? In my case I'm usually sad for a few hours that I can't convinently forget about what happened in the VN and play it again. Maybe I feel a bit of nostalgia or something like that (Yeah, nostalgia from how I was a few days before I finished it. Even I don't make much sense out of it .-.) Anyway! how do you feel when you finish a particularly good VN? Do you have deep reflections about life when playing them sometimes? this is what I'd like to ask.
  5. Granted, but it has a mind... And it's a yandere. I wish to be omnisciencent.
  6. Sounds fun. I really love writing. In general I write small mystery or horror tales. I'd like to help. ^^ Here's a sample. I don't know if I'm good at it, and I just made this, so take a look and tell what you think. A hollow life. Nothing happens and nothing changes. Just as another countless people in the world, the desire to do something burns inside me. There’s no need for this something to be productive, good or whatever. Actually, I’d say “good” and “evil” are a few of the most meaningless concepts ever. Who has the ability to determine such things, anyway? I feel like starting something. However, my life’s terribly common. Well, I’m more athletic than usual. Doesn’t it remember a protagonist? Being athletic, I mean. Wouldn’t it be awesome to get a legendary sword and go on a quest, or meet a cool transfer student with superpowers or something like that? Anyway, such things don’t happen in reality so you can’t exactly count on them. Furthermore, being athletic is nothing uncommon. I’ve tasted happiness and despair before. More than once, actually. I have determination to do something, but I have nothing to do. Is it because I want it though? I could have started something before if I really felt like it. And I did feel like doing something more than once. However, nothing happened. Is it the world fault? Nah, probably nothing that big. If the world were trying to screw with me something actually would’ve began, which means I wouldn’t be here thinking that I want something to happen. I’m an incredibly rational person. People often say I’m smart, I have the top grades in my class, acute senses and my personal relationships always go smoothly. Too smoothly actually. I can usually predict what sort of effect people around me will have in my life and what they feel about me. It feels like I shouldn’t be complaining, but I still want to do something big. Something to leave a mark in history. I look at the night sky. It’s completely black. I can’t see the moon or stars. Rationality quickly gives space to emotion. If I want to do something… Then it’s simple. I’ll just do it. The opportunity won’t knock on my door just because I want it to. Without any better choice as a weapon, I pick a knife from my kitchen. A big one, the kind you use to cut fish. A smile creeps to my face… Well, let’s make this night remarkable, shall we?
  7. I don'r really care about +18 or not. Sure, the sex scenes are nice sometimes but I mostly just skip them anyway so it doesn't really matter unless the game is something like Sengoku Rance or a Nukige of any sort. In "normal" VNs I couldn't care less, but the heavily sex-oriented ones makes you feel like you're losing a big part of the story when they take away the +18 content.
  8. True, Arcueid is more powerful, but the reason for him being unable to kill servants is another. Arcueid exists in the real world. Heroic Spirits are said to be removed from time-space. They are "nothing" to begin with. Since Arcueid is in this world she has an end. A Heroic Spirit doesn't- It's not that they are unable to die, but since they are free from the flow of time they just don't have a predetermined death. Shiki ability is all about seeing the end of things, and since they don't have a predetermined end he probably wouldn't be able to see the lines.
  9. Granted, but humanity will be wiped out tomorrow. I wish the person above me never corrupted my wish.
  10. And... It worked!!!!! Thank you!!!! Key novels are always awesome, so I know I'll like it XD. I'll go play it now.
  11. Thank you, I got them. I'll try running it now.
  12. thanks, but now I messed up my reg.ini, thus getting an error message even with this .bat you suggested. Can you please check how the reg.ini should be before I messed up?
  13. First I always play the game with myself as the protagonist- picking the choices I would pick if I were in that situation (even if it leads to a Bad End). After that I just use a walkthrought and complete the rest of the game.
  14. granted, you're now blind, deaf and mute. I wish I could become a type-moon VN protagonist.
  15. OS: Windows 7 - 32-bit. Regional Settings: Japanese From Fuwanovel: Yes Read the other threads, including this one: Yes Problem: I'm just a noob with computers. I don't understand the throubleshoot suggestion made by the other members. I'll post my process here: The "Make_Rewrite_Work2.bat" file doesn't work. (okay.) 1. RUN (rewrite & rewrite32 *registration entries) (Until here was fine.) 2. OPEN REGEDIT (What is that? I have no such file. I'll try opening the reg.ini instead, it may be that.) 3. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Key\Rewrite" (huh??? what am I supposed to do here??) 4. CHANGE PATH for dat_dir & exe_dir (I have no such exes! furthermore, how can I even change their paths?!) EX for mine folder: D:\My Files\[Fuwanovel] Rewrite\Rewrite (Sorry. It seems simple but I just don't get it.) 5. CLOSE dan RUN SiglusEngine.exe (well, I get the last part. Until I solve the rest it won't be really useful though.)
  16. Granted, but after 2 seconds you died from a heart attack. I wish I could suffer the most painful and horrible torture ever (let's see you corrupt that!)
  17. Granted- but you're switched to a world were such games don't exist. I wish for infinite wishes in one post.
  18. my first VN was Fate Stay Night, followed by Tsukihime right in the next day. And I watched both of them on youtube (I deeply regret doing such a thing- It really screwed up my playing experience when I decided to play them). It was awesome! I never really cared about graphics, and seeing how the story was so much better than in the animes (whoops, my bad, Tsukihime doesn't have an anime.) I decided to play VNs from animes I already watched. Such as Clannad, for example. After that it just became natural to play VNs since the ones I played had been so awesome.
  19. I don't really like auto- Even if two sentences have 40 characters I may spend 5 to 20 seconds reading it. My reading speed always becomes very slow in infodumping scenes, and I'm very promp to press control (or whatever is used to skip) or at least click very fast in dialogues with characters I don't like, so I'd have to disable it the whole time if I used auto.
  20. Funny. Noodles aren't really popular here in Brazil- we usually eat pasta. when eating noodles I drain all of the water before adding the flavoring.
  21. Welcome! Unfortunately, we'll most probably have to wait a few years for the remake so I'd suggest that you play it now. what did you thought of G-Senjou no Maou and Fate Stay Night? they are both on my favorites list.
  22. I guess you could, but from what I remember Shiratori's route events happen in chapter 4 after Kanon's route events, so to play Shiratori's first you'd have to save in the choice to pick Kanon's route, choose the one leading to chapter four, save in the choice to Shiratori's route, do her route, load the chapter 3 data and do Kanon's route before going back and doing the main story. I'd advise you to do Kanon's route first, but you can do it later if you want and you won't get any spoilers from the story, so I guess it's okay.
  23. I'd say that I got impressed by the sprites in Hoshizora no Memoria when I played it. The reason is probably because I usually play really old VNs, and I started with the "new"(2006+) [or at least graphically good] VNs recently. I really liked the way they made the eyes of the Steins Gate characters as well.
  24. It's all part of my great plan- I'd come back, spoil everything in every single VN (and their contents) which would come in the next 50 years and become the most hated person between those who play VNs.
  25. I wish I could jump to the future, read the new VNs there and come back.
