All my suggestions are in english... They do need patches, depending on where you download them from- basically all fantranslated VNs will use patches, which is the great majority of them. It's pretty simple to use patches, for the most part (normally you just run the patch after a download and it'll do the job by itself) but if you don't want to, I could pm you a site where you can download pre-patched visual novels (the patch is already applied, so you don't need to do it yourself- it has to be a pm because we don't allow for those to be posted in public, though.) Those prepatched VNs do come in torrents, though. Do you have utorrent or the like? It's generally easier for newcomers to get their VNs like this.

Seeing how you rated Key's anime so highly (Angel Beats, Clannad), why don't you try Planetarian? Swan Song is also a great game. Might also want to check out Sekien no Inganock or Saya no Uta. I'd also personally go against the Muv Luv suggestion. It's a very, very long read and you'll essentially be forced to pass through an entire game of nothing before checking out the sequel (which is the only redeeming part of the series). While Muv Luv Alter is amazing, it's not worth to force you to go through Muv Luv as your first VN just because of it. Check it out in the future if you like mechs and have a few titles under your belt, though. Also, check out my 50 translated VNs you should read before you die thread- the link is in my sig. Who knows, maybe you'll find something you like. For Horror, a personal recommendation of mine would be Phenomeno. There's not much in terms of romance there, but it's just a few hours long and I'd say it's the best translated title we have when it comes to horror. I'd highly recommend anyone who hasn't read it to try it out.

The standard control warrior list doesn't use slam at all, at the moment. Pretty much a personal choice. I really like Nefarian. I'm always iffy when I don't have at least 4~5 BGH targets in decks that have one and I think the meta is aggressive enough- quoting another player: "The more aggressive, the better Nefarian is. It (Nefarian) demands an immediate answer, and gives you two cards right off of the bat, helping replenish the resources lost from the initial aggro burst. In a slower meta, it is easier to create a board state that will promote Yesera's longevity, and thus result in more resources over time."

Eh, Mech Shaman works pretty well. Looking at it's matchups, I believe it's better than all forms of Paladin we have right now. Also, I opened a golden the beast, which finally allowed me to finish my Freeze Mage and Wallet Warrior decks. That Alex was definitely worth the dust.

Started playing the fandisc. Not a fan of this game for several reasons, but I might as well do it. I feel this thread will be waifu wars since there's not much else to discuss, so I'll start- From my memory of this game, spaceship is best girl.

Pretty sure I did that already. Exceptions being MLA (because the first game is just a piece of crap and I didn't even want to mention it) and fate H/A (I'll fix it next time I edit the list). Not putting games belonging to the same series but separate from each other in the same entry, though. No way I'm merging Inganock and Sharnoth, or Chaos Head and Steins Gate.

That Umi is an event SR, too. A pity the guy who had the account before didn't do her event, I think that idolized Umi looks gorgeous. Not a fan of the Hanayo, but I'm not going to complain.

Well, not changing anymore, I guess. Bought 89 loveca (my first purchase in this game, except that one time I bought 1 loveca to have a receipt) and went for some scouting to see what fate had to say about changing versions. Turns out fate still likes me. This was the result:

No "none" option on how I prefer to buy VNs. I guess DRM can be a bother. Never really affected me. Piracy, yo.

Yeah, talking about the duet. The solos are indeed pretty bad. Oh, I'll be dropping the EN version for the JP one. Can't be bothered to have more than one active account and JP just seems better.
