You've gone a long way since the beta, me. *sob, sob* The first pack after that 1000 win was delicious too.

50 translated VNs you should read before you die
Kaguya replied to Kaguya's topic in Recommendations
I'm a long time VN player, and I did read unlimited later (savedatas for the win) I will say that it didn't make much of a different during alternative to me. The development in unlimited isn't too hard to figure out, and alternative was touching even without knowing it. I stand by saying alternative is good enough as a standalone. -

I couldn't stand the first muv-luv and I dropped it. MLA was good enough for the list regardless, even without knowing how all those characters developed. I won't present a crappy game as good enough for the list because of it's majestic sequel. -

It is there. As I said in the first post, I'm not putting them by order of how good they are... It's number 44. -
I'm excited for Rogue. Miracle should die with the new patch, but I think the expansion makes midrange rogue viable. I'll definitely try that out.

Shitstorms or AMApocalypses. That was actually a thing. I think a shoutbox was the first idea I posted in the improvements board. Nice to see it happening~

Alright. If I'm going to be blunt here, there is some derailing going on. This thread is not about your opinions on love or anything of the sort. It's the impact H-scenes have in VNs as a medium. You're free to talk about that and just that. Other posts will be removed from now own. Any post that has some form of hate in it (ex: everyone who likes/dislikes X is an awful person) will be removed as well, and if more than two of those happen the matter will be brought to the staff.

It is happening. I'll send the pm on day 3, we'll have it decided by the 5th and discussion will happen on the 9th and the 21th.

Nasu-verse Discussion(spoilers to everything Nasu-verse related)
Kaguya replied to madvanced's topic in Visual Novel Talk
It's not about trust, it's more about incompetence. They lose nothing and don't become vulnerable by telling him that. You also can't expect novice mage-kun to know about that type of thing with just implications. It'd take them like, two lines to explain her problem. Actually, one line would be fine. Suicidal? He'd say "I'll solve your issue for you, Sakura." while she still was completely sane, project rule breaker and use it. Problem solved. No more HF route. The only danger involved is the one of projection, but if they're that worried about him using his magic they might as well forbid him from training.- 136 replies

Illya knew what was going on before that date. At a later date (but still, easily solvable) Rin knew too. They just didn't bother telling him because reasons, I guess. They just didn't consider Shirou's ability to project Caster's NP. Dumb mages. That's why you tell relevant information to your allies when you don't know whether or not they'd be able to help.- 136 replies

The funniest thing about Heaven's Feel is that if someone else bothered to explain Shirou what was going on with Sakura he could have solved the route on day 7.- 136 replies

Your IPs are so ridiculously similar I'm very doubtful about it~

Good luck, nice job and get rekt making someone else's hair.

[Fuwanovel] Cannonball ~Neko Neko Machine Mou Race~
Kaguya replied to Nosebleed's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Alright. I'm near the end now. It had a very poor start and it's not the most original thing ever. The gameplay is annoying at parts and very cool in others. I liked it over Sharnoth's minigame, though Inganock's one was better. I'd go with above average. Not a masterpiece, but not too bad. -
If we're talking 7th Expansion, I liked Rose Guns Days's soundtrack over Umineko's one, personally. It has less tracks, but some are just so amazing. Maboroshi no Shisu and No.9 come to mind, but I wouldn't even say they're the best. Everything is great.

It depends. I think both are fine. The time it takes to finish a good VN doesn't matter too much to me. It should focus on the story, though. If there are non-explained things and the VN felt rushed, I'll have wanted it to be longer. If there's too much fluff and pointless scenes that we've already seen 1000 times with different characters, I'd have liked it to be shorter.

Watch the KnK movies while you're at it. Ryougi's eyes are the real deal.- 136 replies

I'll say that Nero is a much better servant than fate's Saber. Tamamo is in fact the best servant in that game, though. If saber fixed her pride and the #lolmorality issues, she'd be ok. Bathory could have been a nice character. She's basically Luvia in disguise, though.- 136 replies

Nasu-verse Discussion(spoilers to everything Nasu-verse related)
Kaguya replied to madvanced's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I think it depends on whose eyes we're talking about here. I'd bet that Roa's wouldn't be enough to deal with time reversal. Not too sure about Shiki's... I think that Ryougi's could do it just fine, though. It's almost like true magic by itself, since she got those by touching the root. I don't think you need to say something is conjecture in this type of discussion- 136 replies

Nasu-verse Discussion(spoilers to everything Nasu-verse related)
Kaguya replied to madvanced's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I'm pretty sure all ongoing actions, spells or whatever cease when a person's point is struck. (even if they were to be cast in a millisecond) For example, piercing the point of a dog that was charging at Shiki in full speed made the dog completely stop in the air, even though it should have continued after it's death. There are other examples like that.- 136 replies

Nasu-verse Discussion(spoilers to everything Nasu-verse related)
Kaguya replied to madvanced's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Ciel's example was just to show that even when something should recover from that ability, it doesn't... I also don't know how the person would cast the spell after they're already dead, but still. In Ciel's case, a gross simplification would be that she kinda is Roa except she's not, so she can't be dead without Roa being dead too since the world would get a blue screen of death.- 136 replies

I'm heartbroken by this.

Nasu-verse Discussion(spoilers to everything Nasu-verse related)
Kaguya replied to madvanced's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Arcueid said before that cutting the lines somewhat reverses cause and effect... It doesn't matter what happens, they'll die anyway, from what I remember. Even in time-reversal cases, like Ciel, where her body returns to it's original state normally.- 136 replies

I'm the only real senpai here, though~ Welcome to fuwa. Check out my 50 VNs list if you're looking for recommendations.

I don't read VNs for romance (in fact, I end up disliking 80% of the VN heroines I find) so this is kind of an alien concept to me. Still, interesting.
