  1. God is this depressing, I've had a policy of trying to ignore others opinions when it comes to anime since I find myself often at odds with the "casual fan" so I had not idea things were this "bad". I just binged watched the available episodes of Youjo Senki and was shocked by how fucking awesome it was, to hear that many disagree is a bit heart breaking. I can understand why Scum's wish and Masamune's Revenge are getting attention though, it's akin to focused tested shit that has resulted in the bland triple A gaming market and the spamming of remakes and reboots seen in Hollywood. Scum's wish follows the same line of logic that Erased and Another follows, in that simply having fucked up shit happen equals a mature and decent plot. It's the fucking white privileged kid cutting himself for attention. Masamune's Revenge follows the standard harem plot that we have seen a million times before, at least by going from the manga the obvious couple's relationship actually progresses and isn't kept in stasis for 100+ chapters.
  2. I know there was a team working on it a long time ago, but they never got anywhere meaningful with it and I'm pretty sure the project is dead.
  3. Hahahhahahah prepare for a hell of a bait and switch.
  4. Well I was thinking of this scene when I typed it, those crazy old timey movies.
  5. ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US
  6. I believe Chaos;Child is a likely title to receive official localization, I didn't expect YUNO though. Fingers crossed they don't use that gawd awful orb system in the remake.
  7. Started playing Digimon World Next Order. I always wanted to play the Digimon World Games, but I never got a PlayStation and they were not compatible with my play station 2. It's quite a different beast from Digimon Cyber Sleuth with it's "raising" mechanics being rather unwieldy and strange, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of things. Although the hardest thing to wrap my head around is how your Digimon die after several days and you have to raise them all over again. I suppose it's suppose to give it a kinda rouge-like feel and you do carry over some of your stat increases, but it is hard to normalize that in my head.
  8. I just binge watching all of the available episodes of 3-Gatsu No Lion and at first I was pleasantly surprised, however I started noticing a major flaw in the overall plot of the show.
  9. Kingdom Hearts 1-2 are among my favorite games of all time, however I fear that the series have gotten insanely convoluted. Seriously the only way to have had the entire story was to be white enough to own all of the fucking gaming platforms.
  10. I made the mistake of buying a psn code on Amazon to prepare for Digimon World Next Order this midnight. For some reason it's stuck on pending verification and I have no idea whether it is due to my bank or if it is a problem at Amazon. The fuckers don't even let you cancel a pending order so I can't just get my lazy ass to Walmart to buy a code.
  11. Dullahans are where it's at man.
  12. Oh boy, you have only started on the insanity.
  13. Da Capo 1 is a strange mix of boring mundanity and fucking insanity, it wasn't really designed to be "thought about". However I think, if I remember correctly, that is essentially it
  14. The only officially English localized visual novels that I am aware of on android are Mystic Messenger and Roomates, so you know it's obviously a home to some quality shit.
  15. OH MY FUCKING JESUS BANGING BUDDHA CHRIST! No one ever play Darkest Dungeon, it is probably the most stressful game I have ever played in my god damned life. I know the whole point of the game is to get royally fucked over and to keep throwing meat into the grinder, but Jesus does it still get under my nails whenever my group of heroes get mawed to near death during one of those bumfucking night ambushes.
  16. You know I thought the Pig - Human hybrid was the creepiest scientific thing I would hear about this month, but Jesus. Who knew that a machine desperately trying to learn Japanese would sound...... so fucking haunting. You know the more I think about it, this has a whole Minerva's Den vibe about it.
  17. Alrighty, I was just slightly confused because you were using some visual novel terminology.
  18. Well ain't someone picky, I'm assuming you are looking for a "video game" and not a visual novel since you posted in the "games" thread. Here is a list of the games that I know of that have some level of meaningful decision making that affects the narrative. (I'ma going to leave out Fallout because something tells me you know about that one) - Mass Effect Series - The Dragon Age Series - Life is Strange (Highly recommend this one, but be warned there maybe some lesbian undertones.... maybe...... if you are drunk and squint hard enough) - Papers Please - The Witcher Series - Beholder (Be warned this game is hard as balls) - Until Dawn (PS 4 Exclusive) - Pretty much anything Telltale games have done recently - WasteLands 2 (Pretty much the same as the original Fallouts 1-2) - Pillars of Eternity I'm sure there are more but those are the ones that come off the top of my head.
  19. I get the feeling that ZTD was made more to sedate the fans than to finish the series, there was something just kinda off about the whole thing. Like, I was reading the summary of a much larger script with large chunks written over with fanfiction. Honestly though I probably enjoyed it more than the previous entries in the series the previous installments had their moments, but I feel like they dragged on waaay too long.
  20. I can think of only two possible reasons either it is simply because of the name recognition and possibly because South Park is widely known for being offensive or because the character art is simplistic enough that the offensive content looses some of its' edge.
  21. I don't know, I mean South Park the stick of truth is allowed to be on twitch. He gives some other examples of games that straddle the line of what is acceptable, but really it's South Park that really confuses me.
  22. While I'm not 100% convinced that Yandere Sim has an absolute right to be on twitch, with characters that could be precieved as being under 18 killing and kidnapping each other, I do despise the type of reaction twitch seems to be giving Yanderedev. It is simply bizarre that no reason is being given to the banning of of the game.
  23. I don't know why people keep banging on Sachi's bad end, I actually really liked it..... in a comedic sense.
