  1. I'm 90% sure they were from the US. They didn't have an accent and they seemed to know who Sarah Palin is.
  2. I just overheard two students state that they thought Alaska was its' own country until today. I cried a little after that.
  3. Funnily enough I disliked 999 much more than VLR. I tend to love fucking insane bullshit stories allot more than the more restrained story that survives on a few strands of craziness. Yes, I'm that asshole that prefers Doctor Who over Star Trek. Can't wait till ZE3 so I can finally figure out WHO THE FUCK WAS PHI TALKING TO WHEN SHE SAID, "I LOVE YOU". It's keeping me up at night I tell yeah.
  4. Everyone who isn't the main character is a complete dumbass, spoilers the main character doesn't exist.
  5. Ok, I guess I can understand it being part of a bygone era and is only around today because no one wants to be "that guy" in Diet. I'm kinda of the same mind, I've just gotten use to them over time. What bothers me is the reason why they are there. Mosaics just seem like a pointless exercise especially when more often than not, they don't even cover the thing they are "censoring", but simply obscure a small section.
  6. I use to think that it was only the States that had a bizarre interpretation of what is too sexually vulgar for the public, but I guess I was wrong. I just jerked off this morning to a doujin that involved a abusive relationship between a mother and daughter being resolved by them taking turns to fuck their dog, spoilers it ends with them reconciling and entering a sm relationship with the daughter being the s and the mother being the m. I can not understand how that is less obscene than completely showing a part of human anatomy, that half of the population of Earth is already very familiar with. I guess I just fail to understand the culture in Japan.
  7. I personally recommend the MuvLuv trillogy, Majikoi, and Ayakashibito.
  8. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is actually pretty fucking hilarious, and I almost made the mistake of skipping it. I thought from the description that it would be a short.
  9. Pretty excited for this game, especially at the prospects of torturing Akane.
  10. You know, my first roommate had gay porn in his internet history that one of his friends called him out on. So I can't entirely discount this possibility.
  11. Pretty sure my roommate is touching himself under his bed sheets right now, I would kinda understand if it was midnight or latter..... BUT IT IS THREE IN THE FUCKING AFTERNOON! Go to bathroom for that shit.
  12. I'm loving the quality moe anime we are getting this season, but what the fuck is up with the brightness of Sansha Sanyou? It is absolutely adorable, but I feel like I'm staring into the sun whenever I watch it. I'm curious where Trigger is going with Kiznaiver. So far it has been pretty dull. While the premise is.... interesting, it is also highly problematic. I feel that the inability to truly understand our fellow man to be a fundamental part of what it means to be human. To force understanding and to force a connection between people feels hollow and wrong. Noriko is treating the others like "Sims", they are lesser beings that she desires a certain response from and cares for nothing else. Well, hopefully there will be a twist in the middle and it turns out the entire project was made in order to fight off some threat and not for something as insane and detrimental to the human race as world peace.
  13. Just don't think too hard on the many worlds interpretation, I spend nights wondering how many of myselves were killed and by who/what. Then I think about how many people other mes have killed and how many of them are rapists or child molesters. Than I start thinking if parallel timeline mes are actually "me", considering the "Ship of Thesus Paradox". The cellular structure of each of my individual selves would vary due to things such as differing diets and sunlight exposure. Not to mention that the experiences of each would vary considerably, possibly shaping different personas. Than I start to wonder what actually makes up a "person", are we simply complex biological machines that interpret an input of data through the senses and produce an output of a physical response? If so why do people put up such a fuss over stealing, murder, and rape? We are all just a bunch of machines that do nothing, but consume resources and occasionally produce other machines. Not to mention even if I go on a killing/rape/thieving spree it hardly matters, because there are a infinite number of variations of the same machines I would harm in other timelines. It's around here that some sort of subconscious fail safe engages and I boot up my favorite eroge and masturbate myself into a coma.
  14. I try and go through life thinking that everything is only a possibility, with the exception of "I think therefore I am", everything else is just a working hypothesis. That generally keeps my arguments tolerable, but I can still get "triggered" by certain subjects...... especially Nationalism and Mormonism.
  15. I have long given up trying to persuade people in arguments, due pretty much to being part of one of the most stubborn families in the history of forever. I still argue though because I find pleasure and entertainment in it. I actually read a very lengthy article on how humans are hardwired to "win" arguments and that our psyche is not designed for intelligent discussion. It went into detail that the only subjects that people were willing to change their stance on, were the subjects they cared the least about.
  16. That's kinda the problem, we as a human being can only see something from our perspective. There are billions of people in the world and therefore billions of unique perspectives. So I ask what is the point of making the effort to try and develop a false persona to conjure up a false second perspective, when there are almost certainly dozens of actual perspectives (reviews) on the same work? Who would you rather review a first person shooter? Myself (who hates them in general) and my alternative fictional persona Stacy (that totes luv dem 4ever), or Myself and Steven (an actual person that loves fps)? I don't see how you can serve the customer by lying to them.
  17. What is the point? The only result you have is two opinions that are not your own, actually it would be worse than that. All you would have is one subjective opinion and a subjective opinion on how another persons' subjective opinion would view the item in question. If you wish to learn if a game is right for you, take a look at a positive review and a negative review. Compare and contrast the two and decide if it is something you might enjoy. It is just kinda lazy on the part of the reader to demand that a reviewer write a positive and negative review on a game and baffling to demand it regardless of the opinion of the reviewer.
  18. My sister used to work as a cashier part time, she told me all sorts of wonderful stories of people getting mad at her because THEY didn't have enough money in their bank account to make a purchase. People are insane, that is why I always take on jobs dealing with inventory in the backroom or night shifts.
  19. I read visual novels because I have a loathing hatred of reality. I despise modern society and people in general, that is what makes me a fan of visual novels, the disconnect from reality. I find it strange that we must find something "valuable" in all forms of entertainment. The various different sports entertainment industries drains God knows how much money from people and wastes many hours from the lives of individuals..... and what does the average person gain from "sports"? Usually just several hangovers. Do people learn anything from watching comedies? I highly doubt it. Do people find the meaning of life at the bottom of a vodka bottle? ..... er well if they drive off the side of a road, crash into an orphanage, and die they might learn if they meet God. If you wish to better yourself it is just downright bizarre to demand that entertainment mediums also give something to achieve this. If you wish to become a better person, study philosophy, read through various books on religion, meditate on the meaning of life, go out and volunteer in homeless shelters. It is the same when eating healthy, you don't expect every meal you eat to be healthy regardless of what you eat, you have to manage that yourself.
  20. I'm curious exactly what they mean by "improvements and revisions", like the line switcharo in the Grisaia localization or if there will be actual plot points altered.
  21. Thanks Rooke/Chuee, I needed even less faith in humanity. Well, I'm betting/hoping that all three fail miserably. It would finally give me that push to learn a second language and restore a little of my faith in humanity.
  22. That is what I'm saying a DC comic fan will still go to Batman V Superman regardless of the negative press. A Republican will still vote Republican, even if Trump is the nomaniee. A console fan will buy a hunk of metal in its' day one release even knowing there is shit all to play on it. A sonicomi fan will buy the game regardless of the presence of a dub.
  23. I'm sorry it was a rather poor excuse to use that particular quote. What I meant was it seems strange to make a dub for this particular game. I understand Sonico has a rather large following in Japan. What I was trying to say was that it will not affect sales in any way shape or form. I have seen the Sonico anime, it was fun mindless Japanese crazy but there wasn't much substance to it. I just can't see why there would be a large fanbase around it, although I still can't see why Asuna and Saber have the fans that they do so wtf do i know? The fans will buy this game regardless of the presence of a dub, but I don't think there are enough "fence sitters" that could be swayed by the presence of a dub to make this a sound marketing decision.
  24. That is literally half of her entire career in voice acting and while it wasn't godawful, it still wasn't fantastic, you could tell it stunk of the amateur.
