I see what you are getting at, but no company in their right mind would greenlight a project such as that. Companies know that there is a safe formula to follow when making vns. Cute girl routes +romance + usually fudging at the end = decent sales regardless of the story. Not to mention that it is alot easier to write for a typical romance story. When someone tries to deviate from the common path...... alot of the times they fail and fail pretty hard. Minori has to rely on Mangamer of all things to fund its' moege that failed to sell in Japan. There was also that recent disaster with dysfunctional systems, which yes poor management of kickstarter funds were the problem this time, but the reason a kickstarter was needed at all was because the first episode failed to sell. I'm not saying that you are wrong, I'm just saying it will be a cold day in hell before the common practice is changed.

I was soo entranced by the video on the origional post that I decided to drop ten bucks at manga gamer and take this thing out for spin. Best ten bucks i've spent in months, I just finished playing the intro as the flimsiest lesbian in the history of forever and it had me in stiches. This thing is freakin hilarious, the puzzle aspect is a decent time killer as well (not much my cup of tea though). It's also very odd playing a game like this with english voice acting and GOOD english voice acting to boot.

I would personaly give the trap anal cause I'm a selfish bastard who is terrified of rectal fissures..... however, I'm kinda entranced by the logistics required for the third option. You would need to be damn flexible and have excelent upper arm strength.

Just started reading this spiffy title that was recommended to me on my introduction post, "Thus the JSDF fought there!". A mythical ancient roman like force from another dimension invades Japan....... and Japan siftly returns the favor. Sort of like a much darker version of Outbreak Company. My only major complaint would be the "Earth" politics (US, Russia, Eu, and China are all having a pissing contest over access to the portal) feel a bit goofy at bits.

Not sure if it is the same thing, but alot of times I feel that weird coincidences pop up. Like I would watch a anime or read a manga that deals with a certain theme and than I overhear people (who have obviously never seen a single episode of anime before) talk about ideas that are very similar. Or when I watch two different shows and notice odd similarities in the characters conversations.

1. The exact amount of time escapes me but it will take awhile 2. Eh, it is kinda hard to say in alternative there are a few characters that appear in some of the other routes, but if you don't really care about the other heroines you could probably get away with skipping them. 3. Oh yeah, unlocking unlimited dosn't lock extra. 4. Depends on your familiarity with science fiction, if you are a hardcore science fiction fan you will probably see everything coming or at least not be very surpised by it. 5. In extra the side character routes have their own stories that are pretty different from the main route. Unlimited, most of the choices don't really matter and you pretty much choose which heroine you want to end up with at the end. In alternative the gal you hang out wiht the most gets like a snippit of dialogue added in about their jelousy of kagami at one point, but again the other choices don't really matter.

MuvLuv Alternative radically shifted my political world view. I am ashamed to admit it, but for a long time I was a believer in "American Exceptionalism". You know what I'm talking about USA is the greatest country in the world, under god, freedom bringers to the heathens (non americans). Thank goodness MLA came along to slap some sense into me.

Cartaga- Just finished all of the "non true" routes, so far I'm enjoying it. Love the time period and the artstyle, however I wish there was a more in depth Aoki Touji route. She is like the coolest "kinda" heroine ever, a one armed albino mob boss, and she is completely wasted. DaCapo2- Much less nightmarish than its' prequel with just the right amount of refrences to DC1. Still a pretty mediocre read though.
