Oh boy. It's like if I wrote a visual novel. I wouldn't expect much improvement, not unless they decide to delay it. Which considering Jast might actually happen. But probably not.

My first visual novel was Private Nurse of all things. That's one you rarely see mentioned which is not really that surprising. I haven't read it since then and it was about seven/eight years ago so my memory of it is a bit vague. Try not to shoot me if my memory is wrong anywhere. The main character is suffering from some (poorly explained) disease and some cute nurse shows up declaring she is going to live with him for a month and in that time cure him completely. Hilarity and drama of course ensues.The whole cast pretty much only consists of the main character, the (private) nurse, the childhood friend that wakes him up each morning, because of course she does, and the school nurse which seem to have some pretty unscientific ideas about medical treatment. It almost sounds like the premise of some nukige. I remember thinking it was alright, but I doubt it would hold up today. In fact it probably wouldn't hold up even then but I didn't have anything to compare it with back then. I did like the idea that you unlocked afterstories after you finished a route. Sadly they were all very samey and mostly was an excuse to have more h-scenes. One day I might reread it to see how I would like it now but all in all I think I can thank Yume Miru Kusuri and Kira☆Kira a lot more for my interest in visual novels.

Not sure I can blame him for dropping it. Found it pretty lacking myself compared with KiraKira. The second half is decent but the first half is... less decent. in my opinion anyway. What I'm more confused about is that TexasDice apparently finished Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia but not Edelweiss itself Ehh on the actual topic I don't have much... think I'm more in the need to broaden my horizons myself. The fact that Steins;Gate is not on the vndb list is criminal though.

I had this exact issue. Sadly what fixed it for me was changing the renderer to openGL. But you claim changing the renderer makes the game crash for you so that is not exactly much help. It's something to think of at least.

You could update and expand the "upcoming" page. It's pretty outdated now and therefore kind of pointless. Maybe integrate it with the VNTL status updates somehow? Also like most people have said it's probably a good idea to integrate the home-site with Fuwazette. It's were most stuff happens these days and new visitors to Fuwanovel won't barely know it exists beyond "appeared first on The Fuwazette." I haven't actually seen how the beta site looked though so anything I say can already have been taken into consideration

Oh it's very possibly they can release eight visual novels in a single year. The question is if they can release eight visual novels and still have anything resembling quality. I say the chances are quite low.

It is odd though that it seems they are going back to Sekai Project. You would have thought they already burned that bridge.

I was getting into this thread with righteous fury and ready to rant about greedy companies being cheap. But after reading the actual reason I can't think of another solution. Sucks for us but this is a typical case of a few people ruining it for the rest of us. I hate to say this but this was probably the right decision.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi seems to be pretty trending right now and it doesn't really fit into any of those categories. So I wouldn't say that's all there is to it. But I also rarely keep up to date with what is popular at the moment so that could just be a lot more unusual then I think.

Well then she won't be a fan of Kirari's normal route in KiraKira (which you have to get before the true route). Is she fine with depressing stuff as long as things turns out alright? Like in an old Don Bluth movie?

I'm a big fan of Kira Kira but I want to mention that Kirari's route has some pretty adult themes. Not saying she couldn't handle that, just wanted to point it out. Dergonu already commented upon Grisaia so I have nothing to add there. Hey OP, how much do you think your sister can handle?

Little Busters maybe? It's all ages and it has cute girls. Doesn't start of too serious either, at least until it enters drama town near the end. I got to ask the same question as John Smith above me. Do you want actual Eroges (as in erotic games) or just all ages. I know I wouldn't be comfortable sharing porn with my little sister but you might be more open-minded than I am.

The TL on KiraKira is actually pretty awful. The grammar is all over the place and there are typos everywhere. Poor Kashiwara especially get her name misspelled a lot. But it could be worse, just look at the original Edelweiss translation. You're at least never confused about what is going on in KiraKira. I say you should still read it, as long as that does not easily bother you, but I'm kind of biased since KiraKira is one of my favorites. And I do appreciate the hypocrisy of me of all people complaining about bad English.

It's not really cheating since it happens in the common route and therefore before the main character get into any kind of relationship. And I think it's a good option for people who prefer it when the main character does not sleep around. I would have preferred that it affected more than it did but it's at least more of a option than most of these games give you. I'm also one of those weirdos that actually like Yumina, both the game and the heroine. Though by god is the side-quests mind-numbingly boring at times. If anyone is planning to try it out, just skip any sidequests that end up being too annoying. Your sanity will thank you later. They are pretty much an afterthought anyway.
