  3. Number 10 This one:
  4. It was a fun plan, but you made one mistake. You made it go on too long, and you made each activity a week long. Stories are hard work. Activities in general is work. So when enthusiasm for a project dies, people will naturally not want to work hard on it any more. Maybe you should have made it a couples week and planned 3 activities of 2 days each. That way you capture fully the enthusiasm and energy the people have when they first started, and the project finishes before people got bored. Tis a shame. I was planning on kidnappi- curious to see who the writers were on this forum. Cest la vie.
  5. You should think carefully about what would happen if the majority of members DID use the like button often
  6. Broken images are terrible things. Let's just fix that shall we
  7. I can't check for it if I didn't understand it The next person has a secret sexual fantasy involving coconuts.
  8. Pesky paint thinner
  9. Usually screenshots are fine. I like to take a glimpse of the writing style before making any judgement calls Something like this http://www.winterwolves.com/nicole.htm Also, and this will probably cause much irritation, lemma-soft has gone and implemented an anal crowd-sourcing rule. I don't know why ( http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=25795 ). You'll have to repost the information about your game in the thread without linking to the kickstarter, unless you have a playable demo operating. It's probably been introduced just to tick people off. It's worth it for the advertising you'll generate, though. On the other hand, massive pain in the ass.
  10. Have you made a thread on the lemma-soft board about this VN? It's a community of visual novel creators. There's a forum called 'work in progress' where you let people know information concerning upcoming visual novels. The art looks very pretty, but I'm usually more concerned with the writing. I can't find any examples of the writing in the game, and that makes me a little sad. There's plenty of pretty visual novels being made, but very few with good writing. Good luck.
  11. As it stands, the current 'like' system is a useless feature. It is not a feel good system, because it's used far too much for it to have any meaning, and you can't have an actual reputation system when it's impossible for someone to have a bad reputation. What you have at the moment is a nothing system people like to muck around with. If that's what you're going for, then I suppose congratulations are in order.
  12. Nope, I disagree. Take out art and you'll still have a game worth playing. Take out the writing and all you have is a gallery. The most impressive thing about this kickstarter is the samples of polished writing they've shown. I get sick of all the VNs going around with pretty artwork and garbled english.
  13. Annoying sign, let's just cover you up!
  14. Hmm, maybe. I can't seem to figure it out. Anyway, good luck to them being funded. As a massive fan of OELVNs, I'm looking forward to seeing what they produce for eps 2 and 3.
  15. Because everybody knows katanas can cut through anything
  16. I wanted to neg Tay like crazy for removing the 'neg option' I suppose Tay knows what he's doing.
  17. I wasn't commenting about the 20k for art, but rather the 10k for writing. Most of the money spent on games is for the Art and audio. Writing is normally an insignificant amount. Especially when you're one of the writers yourself, like Miller is (Miller's down as one of the writer's for the project.) That's what's fishy.
  18. It should be lowered, not raised. 10 is excessive. The more you 'like' something, the more it's devalued. The rarer something is, the more it's valued. Going around liking everything will just mean the like system ends up being a useless and ignored feature. I personally liked the old system better, where you had the option to like OR neg someone.
  19. Where's the *chuck shoe at Otaku1612* emoticon? I search and search but it's nowhere in sight.....
  20. But then we wouldn't be able to hi-jack completely innocent threads! Recommend me an anime turns into SAO - how overrated is that. worst character - don't get me started on SAO Favourite seiyuu - I told you not to get me started dammit! The effect of anime on pop culture - That's it. Biggest SAO rant is going in here! Because your suggestion sucks all the fun out of life, it gets a big thumbs down from me. Booo!
  21. All that did was make the show cheesy.
  22. Same. My trick is to switch genres. It will be hard to find something that measures up and everything afterward will feel not as good. So, I walk away and do something different. Play a shooter. Watch a sitcom... play tetris. Come back to epic gaming storylines in a couple of weeks.
  23. I should know by now that a lot of the hype in the anime world is generated by teenage boys. Nothing wrong with that, but it means I need to learn to ignore it. They tend to look for different things than I do. Generally speaking.
  24. 1- True, hack//sign is very confusing. Very character focused though, which created some powerful moments. 3- No. I wanted to see what everyone was raving about. Still don't get the hype.
