Is the OST any good? I still listen to a couple of compositions from Hoshikaka, so I'm wondering about this. On topic: started the last, "secret" route in Gleam Garden no Shoujo. Not quite Sharin no kuni, but not your average school moege. It the last route beats Shirayuki's, I'll probably rate it 9/10.

My motto is "everything goes for the sake of a good story", and besides I don't consider action a violence. For example, Akagoei2 has both action (i.e. ass-kicking) and violence (i.e. Mai), but both are for the sake of a great story, so I'm perfectly fine with it.

Okay, here's my version. Please note that I'm not English native speaker, so "you need to know more English" is just as valid criticism for me as "you need to know more moon". And thanks for doing this, Clephas. Btw, this small script left strong impression on me, so I'm going to read the source soon.

It's probably a good idea to summarize you own qualifications in the first post – if you're going to rate others, you must be pretty damn good yourself, so it'd be nice to know if you're maybe a native speaker, or have some JLPT grades, finished TL project etc. Also I think it'd be more useful for beginner translators if your feedback was in this topic as well, not in PM, so that they could learn w/o embarrassing themselves, just by reading this thread.

Monobeno FD seems to have even more lolis, and that's why I'll be reading it. They probably understood what was the best part of the original (half-joke, yes). So from your list – Monobeno FD and probably Feng's new game (I like its title).

Cosidering KoiKishi has the best imouto ever (according to me), her route alone is worth translating. But I think learning moon could be faster option...

The kiss scene was amazing, but I wasn't able to forgive her for you_know_what. So my fav was Kaede – she's just as strong, but much more rational, and a loli too. Oh, and I liked Kaede ending more.

I'd say "... is it Japanese at all?" or "... could you use Japanese?".

Not sure about the last two (okay, the last one probably means "you two, please do it together"). This makes me realize how heavy I'm dependent on context.

1) I'm really into incest, especiall twincest. I love to watch their relationship evolving from siblings to lovers, and I like a good deal of realism in it where the siblings have to stand against moral assaults of society to defend their relationship. That said, I'm not into typical imoutos – I like my twinsisters mature, strong-willed and able to answer for the consequences of their actions. 2) I don't care about taboo (mind telling me which country treats 18+ incest as a crime?), and I often looking for a VNs with good incest routes, so yeah, it's perfectly okay. I wouldn't mind it in real life (before you ask: I don't have a sister), so why should I mind it in my VNs?

Okay, I'll be the first to say it: my motivation is fap. I read plot-heavy VNs for a good story and a good fap. I read moege for tons of moe and a fap. I read nakige to satisfy my hunger for emotions and to fap. And I read nukige solely for fap. You can clearly see the reason that goes for all VN genres, so it means I read VNs for fap. Not convincing? Well, for me too. Wouldn't go for the trouble of learning moon for such a trivial reason, but still it's true to some extent.

Can't be better than Promia, because a) it's damn school again and 2) there's no Elegano.

It gets better with every chapter. As for me, done with Promia. Unexpectedly good, and Elegano is one of my favorite characters ever. 9/10. Now reading Koiken Otome, Touko route.

I agree with RusAnon. Try using machine TL on something at least Majikoi grade and you'll find yourself unable to desipher the tons of random garbage it'll throw at you.

I've been reading the subj recently. Common route was interesting, but after "the incident" with Akane (which was almost epic), the plot has suddenly ended, leaving only your regular moege. So I have a question: will there be any plot later in individual routes?

Finished AkaGoei2. Man, it was awesome in so many ways. My second 10/10 after Eustia, never seen so many interesting characters in one VN. Got Reminiscence – the protag is no Kaito but well, hope it'll be good too. Now reading Taiyou no Promia – I've tried to start several VNs after AkaGoei but somehow only this one was able to catch my attention. It's pretty simple, fast-paced, with tons of action and interesting art. Only 1 of 6 routes done so far though.

Hey Clephas, nice list. Have to disagree on Izuna though. Kotarou, unlike Asagiri Kaito, definitely not doing what he wants to do. He's moved by sense of duty, "lesser evil" logic and his master orders, he definitely does his "job" as "I have to", not as "I want to".

There are medieval VN w/o gameplay here and there, like this one or this one, but I'm yet to find a good one.
