Well, thanks to my dear friend @mitchhamilton I'm reading a yuri manga, Gokujou drops. I like it so far. It's not very long so I got like, halfway in a single reading session. The art is nice, and .. Well, the story is just hot girls making out and doing it, so you can't really go wrong with that All hail yuri!

Beat blades Haruka! Taking a break from G-senjou to play this. Need to fufill my ... Dark desires Just started it a little bit a go, got through the first day. The art is good, the action is pretty badass, the H-scenes are ... Yum The minigame interface seems pretty good, though the way the RNG seems locked is rather strange. No matter how many times you load the save, the "RNG" is already decided. Seems a little bit harsh. Like, if you get a bad roll, you are stuck with that forever? .. Don't really like the idea of that.

I get the idea with an animal mascot instead of a human, though I still think an original human character would be the best. Maybe a set of them, one male and one female human character, each on one side of the logo. So like "Female" Fuwanovel "male" or the other way around. A fairly plain character, something along the lines of the Amagami SS artstyle is my suggestion. I realize it´s quite "boring", but making a characrter that´s supposed to NOT be directed at one specific type of people, but instead something that can represent VNs etc as a whole, the more "plain" the character is the better. That´s what I think at least.

Yeah just read the creative corner post. Will definitely pick it up once it´s out of beta.

Although it´s slightly irritating to have to wait even longer, if they are able to salvage this and actually release a working translation, that alone will make me happy agian We need more good, quality yuri VNs translated, and from what I gather, this is one of them. Really hope they get their shit together and get this thing fixed for the new release.

Yes, a few times. The biggest was a rather huge spoiler for Amane´s route in Grisaia no kajitsu. Someone also accidentaly gave away a huge event in Muv-luv, a game I haven´t played yet. That one I´m still quite upset about ... Will be less impactful playing through it now most likely.

Ah yes, it does actually say that. Does anyone know exactly when / why the voices are cut out? Seems kind of strange if it´s just completely random when the characters are voiced.

It seems to me that mangagamer has removed that, yes. At least none of my newest purchases on their site has it, including new releases like beat blades haruka.

Ah yes, that was it. They had that system where you had to activate the game once with a unique key before you could open it. Haven't seen that in a while now.

I know mangagamer used to do this, though I haven't seen it on their recent releases. Before, you used to have 5 downloads each game. It seems like they have either stopped it, or that they only do it for certain games.

Well we can't really tell for certain since they have made no posts about it at all. I doubt its a spur of the moment thing, as its just a little too random. They probably have their reason for it. If it really was to stop piracy ... Well then yes, it was a fairly bad solution ...

Yeah it's just my guess based off recent events. Personally I'm quite indifferent about it. It's DRM free so I can just put it on my external hardrive and move it around between my PC's. If it does help their security in some way then hey, I guess it's a good thing. (On the note of piracy, the game is already on a certain site, so it seems it wasn't exactly super effective if stopping that was their intention.)

So I bought the new game Atom Grrrl!! from denpasoft today, and I noticed something a little interesting. They have added a download limit to their games. It has not been a thing previously, as all my other games like Grisaia, Zodiac, sunrider etc doesn't have it. It could just be for this particular game, though it might also be a permanent thing for their new releases. My guess would be that this too is a response to some of the fraudulent activity VN publishers has seen recently, possibly wanting to reduce piracy / illegal sharing of their game. It's still DRM free, so it's not like it will have a huge impact on anything, but it is still interesting to see. EDIT: Word from DavidB on the download limit:
