Not a big fan of that style, to be honest. I too like the text box to be fixed in place at the bottom of the screen. NVL can be pretty cool at times, though. I enjoy reading LNs etc in Japanese, since you read in the standard Japanese book style, from top to bottom. I haven't found too many VNs that does this. KKK does, (even in the menus,) but uhh, not really ready to read that yet, lol. The prologue alone gave me a headache.

@DharmaFreedom Well, without getting into too many details, I met a woman in Tokyo one night, who seemed pretty into me from the get-go. One thing led to another, and... Yeah. She was an OL, (female office worker,) and with work pressure etc over there, some people just feel like blowing off some steam sometimes, which leads to these situations. She happened to overhear me speak Japanese, and came onto me after that. I don't think she was specifically after me because I was a gaijin. I think in general, gaijin hunters are basically a myth. (At least the kind most gaijins picture, that being women just throwing themselves at you while you're walkig down the street, lol.) What happened with me was definitely not the norm, and I think it was just a right place at the right time kind of situation. If anything, Japanese women generally seem more wary of foreign men, and it's quite rare for women to hit on men. Basically, don't go to Japan expecting every woman you see to throw herself at you. Also, the "piano girl," is refering to a different girl, who I asked out a bit after the "gaijin hunter" incident.

Voices in VNs are very important to me. Not having them makes the characters lose some of their personality, in my opinion. You can truly shape someone's personality with the way their voiced line is delivered, which is something that is totally lost when a game doesn't have voices. So, it makes a massive difference to me.

In terms of eroge, there are few fetishes I don't have to at least some degree. (The only ones that comes to mind would be NTR and cheating.) I like most things, really, from the most boring vanilla to more extreme stuff like guro, vore, ryona etc. (All the dark fetishes I have are 100% exclusive to 2D content, and none of them crosses over to IRL fetishes.) One thing I like in darker 2D games that might be a bit unique is "dead eyes/ dead stares," often found in mindbreak stuff etc. Some examples below. (While they are cropped to be SFW, I'll put the links in a spoiler, because of the nature of the content. Don't actually open them at work. ) IRL I am a huge vanilla pleb. I have a thing for onee-san types/ older women/ teachers.

Just in a general: 1) Censor games. While steam and "18+ patches" are a necessary evil at this point, companies that never releases the original, or makes edits to the original needs to stop it. Many great games have been butchered completely as a result of this type of censorship, like my favorite VN of all time, ChuSinGura 46+1, which will probably never see a good release in English. 2) Delaying the 18+ version of a game with months and months, leaving the game in a censored state for an extended period of time. If a company is going to make an "all-ages" version of what is originally an eroge, they at least need to make the un-altered version available at the same time. This would of course also apply to delaying an all-ages version if the 18+ version was released first, though I can't think of a single instance of this ever happening in the western market, with how all companies uses steam and patches nowadays.

No, that's not what I mean. The promise of a vita release was done when the campaign was still underway. The KS was funded literally 2 years ago. So, what I'm saying is that they should have tried to figure something out during those two years. And, if there was absolutely no physical way for them to release an EU version next to the US version, then this should have been made clear to all backers the moment it was discovered, so that the poor backers who don't get their rewards could file for a refund/ ask for steam keys etc. EDIT: Look at the phrasing of this update made in November of last year. It doesn't mention a single thing about it not being available to all regions, and just hypes the vita backers up for the release. So, it's a huge bomb to drop on people a few weeks before the Vita version launches that only US backers will get it.

This was posted a few days ago, and people are aware, but the issue remains. They literally planned on just releasing the game in one region, despite knowing that they had pledges coming in from all over the world, which is absurd. Not to mention, who knows when this "solution" will take place, and what it involves. Maybe their solution is just "wipe your saves and log on the US store." The game will be coming out on the US store shortly. The promise of a vita version was made ages ago, durnig the original campaign, and people from all regions already paid for it. So, while they might do something about it after all the backlash, this situation should never have taken place, basically.
