Nah. The sociopathic idea is to laugh in about 40 years when we reach the peak of our population curve and start dying from starvation due to hitting carrying capacity. During that period the human race will desperately search for more sustainable food. The cake on top will be when world War 3 happens and we do actually have the final solution: killing people. I truly look forward to being able to legally shotgun people when they cross my yard at the age of 60. Then again, I may provide my own final solution in the form of bioweapons. Mmmmmm, molted human skin. The Soylent Corporation is already working on a solution to avoid this scenario. Your wafers will be available in about 7 years.

What makes Grisaia no Kajitsu so great?
Valmore replied to starlessn1ght's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Okay, Michiru's route so far has been hopelessly adorable. I kind of want to punch Yuugi in the face. -
This reminds me of Clerks the Animated Series where Dante and Randal are reading viewer mail asking them if they're afraid of women and they keep blowing it off, until a letter pops up asking if there aren't any black people in New Jersey and they hop all over that by introducing a black character on the spot.

Something can be great for exactly what it's intended and nothing more, but it's not worth comparing to something else just because it's in a similar vein. For instance, One Direction is great for what it is - studio-made teen pop consisting of cute guys to get teenaged girls to buy albums and posters. But you wouldn't compare it musically with Bob Dylan, as the purpose of the music between the two are completely different. Just as you wouldn't market Bob Dylan to teenaged girls for the purpose of selling posters.

And here @Decay thought he was the only Kira Kira fan around here. Welcome!

The Sakura titles are wonderful examples of the highest quality in visual novel writing. Their protagonists are always interesting and seem to have a much higher sense of awareness than those of other titles. The distinct lack of fan service is a refreshing change from the typical PG-13 t and a so rampant in the industry. This could be the dawning on a new enlightened age in the art form. Snoogans.

Which visual novel should I start playing
Valmore replied to VirginSmasher's topic in Recommendations
I liked Kira Kira. My avatar is actually from it. I haven't read the other two. -
I'm glad that article's comment section disintegrated into a discussion/rant/whatever you want to call it, about how big the character's eyes are.

Does playing Drift Girls on Android count?

So Slavemaker 3 more or less but with men? No, I'm not picky who I make into my coding, drawing, musical slaves.

Don't sell yourself short, I'm pretty sure you're also thinking about getting laid as well. Confession: Think I just came up with an idea for an otome game of some kind. Gotta flesh out some details, then get as many slaves... I mean volunteers... to make it happen.

Hidden Content Hidden Content I can already accept the teenager being an assassin because teenagers are the only people who can apparently do that in VNs and anime, but it sucks that you couldn't get into it like I did. Like I said, I can suspend disbelief for certain things, and usually the protagonist has some sort of extra thing about him to make him stand out, so I'm fine with Yuugi being what he is. But if we're taking that into account, as well as time factors and the world itself, it just feels like Amane's route is too hard to buy into totally. But take heart, I'm only 1/5th through with it. There's still 4 other chances for me to love it. -
It might not be quite as shocking, it depends on the circumstances that we may or may not have all of at the moment. IE - what else was released today as competition, how much of that is people who already like Clannad buying into the updated copy (kind of like buying an Anniversary edition of a DVD, for example), etc. Etc. There's definitely key data to consider that probably plays a factor into the initial sales. Nevertheless, the initial sales jump is much higher than I would have thought.

Hopefully, but we'll need to see how it fares over the next few weeks. Initial release usually sees the biggest sales total for most things. If it doesn't dip dramatically but only has a slow decline over the weeks, that would be considered successful (or if it sees in increase, of course). If it dramatically dives after the initial offering, we'll probably have seen the big sales as those who already knew and were waiting for it. Oh, it's certainly going to dip, that's how it always goes. The only exception is for games that go viral, like Undertale or plenty of those indie open world survival games popular on youtube. You can still be considered successful after the sales dip if the initial sales were strong and if you can expect good sale figures when you discount the game in the future. Right, the main question will be how much the dip goes. A smaller, gradual dip could be a sign of good word of mouth, which is what the company would like to see.
