Narcissu 10th Anniversary Anthology Project
VirginSmasher replied to InvertMouse's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Many of those titles on MangaGamer's site are NOT well known in japan. In fact, very few are. MangaGamer licenses a lot of obscure and unpopular titles (Harukoi Otome, for example) and plenty of nukige. SP is kind of in the same boat, they localize a lot of obscure doujin stuff no one has ever heard of. But they also have licensed a number of titles that are very well known and popular, even in Japan, such as the Grisaia series and Clannad. And they have also partnered with Akabei Soft, Yuzusoft, and other well known eroge developers. I don't think SP has any centralized source of information for all of their projects, but you can look at their VNDB page to see what kind of stuff they're bringing over. You may find plenty of "worthy" VNs there: https://vndb.org/p162 As long as I get Clannad, the other 2 Grisaia games, and G Senjou no Maou localized, I'm good with what they do. -
Your biggest turn-offs in visual novels?
VirginSmasher replied to CeruleanGamer's topic in Visual Novel Talk
i just learned to deal with it. Just like with incest in anime, VNs, and hentai. It's completely unrealistic and stupid, but it's a staple in hentai so I'm good with it. -
Looking for pure comedy anime

Their levels of bad are just downright hilarious. -
Hello. Welcome to Fuwanovel where eroge and hentai are widely accepted. Basically, it'll be a better experience than high school.

Haven't ever heard of a game with multiple protagonists in it, but I agree. Having multiple protagonists can lead to some issues with the plot. -

I haven't played the original Narcissu or its sequel but the series looks really interesting. I would back it if I had any money to spare. -

School Days. One of the most hilarious anime out there. Also, try Mars of Destruction and Pupa. -
Didn't the story have a relatively good end? I guess it's about what type of end you want though. I've only seen the anime so i don't really know what the vn ending is if it's any different. For me it's "Eden*" Crap had me mildly depressed for a couple of days, and lingering thoughts for a good while after. So yeah, i don't aim to be depressed when readin vn's so it was a bad experience, even though i can't help but admit the story was pretty damn engaging. Hidden Content Never mind, I remember the car part but I don't remember her being pregnant. Jesus, that's depressing.

I have been watching anime my whole life, and started watching subbed anime instead of the dubbed ones for almost 7 years, ever sense then i had always been interested in learning Japanese, my main reason was cuz i wanted to watch anime without bothering to read the subs lol but now that i have been introduced to visual novels i feel like i must learn Japanese, like you said that will open many other possibilities to me, i know it is not gonna be too soon cuz i am studying now, but will surely be something that i really want to accomplish, plus it involves reading more vns and watching more Japanese anime so that won't be too bad right? Good idea , in my personal opinion, G-Senjou never made me very emotional, even the ending, i dunno but that's just me, the atmosphere didn't feel too sad for me, mainly because the protagonist and Haru were not too romantically invloved i guess. but nevertheless, i liked it. Glad to know i am not the only guy here who gets emotional reading vns lol but most of the time, when i read a sad vn, i don't cry but i just get depressed i would rather it being the other way around though cuz it relieves your tension, thats just my personal opinion though. i am looking forward to read Subahibi then I was looking forward to read that cuz i hear a lot about it but it seems like it's only available on DS. 999 is fucking amazing. Download a DS emulator if you have to. I've heard it's quite good from a few friends of mine, but my list of to play VNs is so massive at the moment. Probably doesn't mean much to you, but 999 is life-changing for me. It is a masterpiece and definitely deserves to be experienced. It's like 20 hours long anyway. Is it on G Senjou's level cause if it is, I'll have to check it out. Haven't read Senjou yet but 999 is my second favorite VN after its sequel and it has one of the best plot twists in all VNs IMHO (And honestly that final part about the best plot twist can generate five different responses from a small group of 999 fans) G Senjou no Maou had some pretty amazing plot twists as well. I may check out 999 after I finish KnS 2 when it comes out.

Sakura Fantasy Ch. 2 & Sakura Fantasy Ch. 1 18+ Patch
VirginSmasher replied to Nosebleed's topic in Visual Novel Talk
A h-scene with English overacting voice-over? I think that's cringe-worthy at best. You know what's worse? English dubbed hentai in general. I think it's fine when they are just moaning. When they start talking, then everything falls into water. Still, have to be objective about the Sakura Fantasy. Still too short, but it was better then their previous work. At least for me. Maybe cuz' yuri makes everything better? The fact that yuri was involed made it the best of the series. That's still not saying much though. -

I know, but it means it'll be more useful for other things. Although I could go read a better nukige and get a better experience out of it. -
Your biggest turn-offs in visual novels?
VirginSmasher replied to CeruleanGamer's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Most of the h scenes in VNs are just thrown in and unnecessary. I firmly believe they belong in nukige unless they actually add to the route which they rarely do. Also, how big are we talking cause I can handle stuff like this http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/thejusticeworld/images/f/f4/1941-1125314870.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120210124625 but I can't handle stuff like this http://ak-hdl.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/webdr02/2013/8/21/14/anigif_enhanced-buzz-16793-1377109916-0.gif damn, honestly the second link...What the Hell is that?? Lool I don't know how some people find that attractive, not for me. the only heroine with reasonable large breasts I have seen would be Amane in Grisaia, I actually find that attractive. In fact I think all the heroines in Grisaia have realistic female bodies, I liked that. I'm pretty sure she's from Eiken and it's ugly to see stuff like that in anime. I agree with Amane. She's pretty hot, but I like Yumiko and Sachi better in terms of attractiveness. That hasn't really bugged me in a lot of VNs mostly cause I ignore most h scenes unless they fit well into the story, but now that you mention it, it's really weird to see that unrealistic experience for a first time. -

Same problem for me. H-scenes are of secondary importance for me, now Well there is always nukige to take care of my needs. Me too. I developed an immunity to H-scenes and nothing fazes me anymore unless it involves torture or domestic violence. hahaha I'm the same way, when I started playing vns the h-scenes used to have an "effect" on me if you know what I mean... now I just look at them like it's nothing. I wouldn't say violence will make a difference for me, maybe if it was a yuri scene then I'm good to go Lool I'm the same. I used to really enjoy h scenes a lot until I took a long break from VNs, came back 8 months later and they didn't affect me in the slightest. I also enjoy yuri which is why I enjoyed the parts of the first Sono Hanabira that I played. Most of the h scenes in VNs are just thrown in and unnecessary. I firmly believe they belong in nukige unless they actually add to the route which they rarely do. Also, how big are we talking cause I can handle stuff like this http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/thejusticeworld/images/f/f4/1941-1125314870.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120210124625 but I can't handle stuff like this http://ak-hdl.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/webdr02/2013/8/21/14/anigif_enhanced-buzz-16793-1377109916-0.gif I'm not sure how Japanese bust sizes are measured but I know they are measured differently. Like their C cup is like an A cup in ours here in America. And our D cup is like G or H. But to give a comparison, anything above D cup (in American measurements) for a slender woman is a turn off for me, so roughly anything bigger than Momoyo's. Not like we will be seeing any more obese heroines in vns any time soon to warrant bigger bust sizes any time soon.... The fattest girl I've seen who's in realistic standards with her breast size is Ukita Hidemi from Majikoi. Notice that even though she's bigger in width than Momoyo, her breast aren't as big so you don't need to be fat to have overblown breasts either.... Also even with slight movement should not cause crazy movements like that on huge breasts even without a bra on..... Again.... ignorance of human anatomical physics or just trying too hard to exaggerate. Yeah. Anime loves the exaggerate their boob physics more than they should. With the terms of slender women with bigger busts is fine with me as long as it doesn't look extremely fake to me. Some girls I've seen in anime and hentai with giant tits are just laughable and not sexy at all, at least to me. -
Favorite Group of Heroines in a Visual Novel

I guess that's true. I voted on mine based on if I liked all the heroines in the visual novel and not just 2 or 3 of them. -

Favorite Group of Heroines in a Visual Novel
VirginSmasher replied to VirginSmasher's topic in Visual Novel Talk
A cast of heroines that are cool from a nukige? That just confusese me. Most of the nukige I've played have shitty heroines. I guess my brain just isn't working today. I didn't mean that the cast was cool, they're just pretty fucking hot, which is what a nukige aims for, so I liked the cast I just expected that you said that those heroines were hot and good heroines which was kind of what I am aiming for in this thread. -
