Yeah. I was confused on where to put this thread so I decided to put it here. Based on your description of Comyu, it interests me even more. I love when visual novels delve into a singular topic because balancing a lot of themes and succeeding in doing that usually ends in failure. I didn't even know that Cartagra was a prequel to KnS until after I'd finished KnS 2 so it's too late for that. Apparently a lot of people like Kira Kira as well. It has to do with music and I hope it doesn't end up like how K On did things with nothing happening. Cartagra is that short? Well, it was Innocent Grey's first VN if I'm not mistaken.

I recently finished Saya No Uta. I'm feeling a VN void and I need something to fill it and I have 3 visual novels in mind. Cartagra- I loved both Kara no Shoujo games and this one is the prequel to them. I've heard some good things about this VN as well. Kira Kira- my friend Shaun says that this is a pretty good VN and I have liked the few things I've played from Overdrive. Comyu- it looks like a lot of fun. The main heroine is pretty appealing to me as well.

When I saw Sakura Dungeon, I immediately though sex dungeon, but a dungeon crawler would be more realistic. I'm fine with the Sakura games moving towards 18+ games cause then there's a reason to play them (or skip through the entirety of it).They'll always be shit when it comes to the story and that's never gonna change.

I would give it a 9/10 too, and honestly this vn was one of the very few ones where i didn't skip the h-scenes too I skipped through them because when lolis have sex with full grown adults, it feels wrong to me.

I just played that recently as well. I expected a disturbing gory visual novel with some emotionally impacting moments as well. I got that and more with it. Saya was actually a character instead of just a monster and the disturbing stuff adds to the story instead to detracting from the experience. It does a hell of a lot in such a short period of time which I congratulate them for doing that. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 just because some of the human characters could've had more development to them and even if the length were a little bit longer so that I could get emotionally attached to all of the characters. Still an awesome game and I'd recommend it to anybody who can stand disturbing stuff.

Hidden Content Hidden Content I can already accept the teenager being an assassin because teenagers are the only people who can apparently do that in VNs and anime, but it sucks that you couldn't get into it like I did. Like I said, I can suspend disbelief for certain things, and usually the protagonist has some sort of extra thing about him to make him stand out, so I'm fine with Yuugi being what he is. But if we're taking that into account, as well as time factors and the world itself, it just feels like Amane's route is too hard to buy into totally. But take heart, I'm only 1/5th through with it. There's still 4 other chances for me to love it. Sachi and Michiru's routes are great. I liked all the routes in Grisaia but those were my favorite.

I quite liked Amane's route despite everything you said. Hell, I'm probably blind to all the problems with this game except for the length of the common route (Way too fucking long). It's a great read and it's one of my favorite games.

I'm hyped as hell. I loved the anime and what I played of the visual novel was good. Plus, there were a few errors in the original TL and it ruined it a little bit for me. Sekai will have those fixed for this release.

The true end had me depressed so I had to go watch an anime to distract me. It was Kara no Kyoukai so it didn't help in the slightest cause I bawled at the ending to it.

Whoa! You should play the bad endings. No need to re-play it, just go back to the last choice and choose the other option. The bad endings are rather short, and worth it. Amane´s route actually has plot that you dont get to see unless you play the bad ending. Yumiko´s has a … rather special case as well for the "bad" ending. Sachi, Michiru and Makina will just leave you emotionally damaged though. No real need to play those unless you want to be emotionally damaged I guess. I like emotionally damaging myself so I'll probably go play those endings when I have time today.

Yukiko's character arc was a disappointment for sure. They could've done way more with her character.

Can you please explain what the issue was and how you resolved it? These threads are often very useful for people who run into the same issue. I had done everything right. I had no idea that the prologue was supposed to have text like that. How I got it working was I just had Japan as my location. That's basically it.

This thread isn't really needed anymore. I got it working finally.

I'm trying a different version of it just to see if I have the same issues. I think it may be a font issue because I did everything right and the font was messed up. I'll post later saying if I got it working or not.

The text is fucked up. I managed to get it working on Windows 7, but now it's not working properly. I changed the locale and everything.

I still think Yumiko is the best girl. I have a thing for Kuuderes. I loved the common route, but I agree, it's too long and drags sometimes. Some scenes were still funny though. I fully agree. Also that heartwarming ending! weirdly enough the bad ending was a good ending as well, while all the other bad endings were pretty fucked up. I never got the bad endings for the routes just because I didn't feel the need to get them. Maybe when I eventually play it again, I'll get the bad endings. Majikoi's common route was awesome. I think it's a tie between Majikoi and Grisaia fr the best common route, for me anyways.
