Welp, I look forward to adding this waifu to my collection -
I guess I'm not ashamed to say I like H scenes and theyre now a big reason I check out many VNs these days. I've read a bunch and I've come to realize my favorite H scenes are just simple vanilla scenes where the girl is the cowgirl position, preferrably naked and decently long with good art. This is something that is admittedly fairly common but I'm always on the lookout for ones that look good, even ones that are Japanese only (though obviously something with an English TL is preferrable). If anyone has any recommendations, feel free to post 'em here/ I've actually made a list of my favorite H scenes and you can see what I like here: (WARNING Lots of NSFW CGs in this doc) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1clIM4YTL1DeHYkFy9FvLWrIcz3J27A_ZhOqeyA5Wl8I/edit

Hey all. This is probably entirely out of the blue for 99% of you, but I'd like to introduce The Broadcast Club, a new VN focused podcast hosted by myself and two other members of /r/visualnovels: RallinaTricolor and Nakenashi . We also have community member Nai on as a guest for this pilot episode. This idea has been floating around for several months now, but a big move from Rallina put things on the backburner for a while. We finally got settled into a place where we can start regularly working on episodes, and so we've put together our first one. You can find Episode One here: http://thebroadcast.club/2017/02/16/episode-1-english-visual-novels/ We'd all really appreciate it if you'd take a listen! We're (mostly) happy with how it turned out, so I hope you'll enjoy! If you do listen, feel free to leave us some feedback. We've all already taken our own notes as to what to improve for next time but we're interested in what our potential audience has to say as well so constructive feedback on what you liked, or didn't like, is very welcome! Any questions in general about the podcast as well, feel free to ask! If you liked what you heard and are interested in contributing in the future, we're interested in having a steady rotation of guests on. We have specific guests in mind for some topics we'd like to cover (like Nai for this one), but we'd also like to be able to invite interested community members to take part too, so if you're enthusiastic about VNs and able to contribute to discussion, we'd love to invite you on. Also, many thanks to the fantastic gogopri for contributing her artwork for our visuals on the blog. If you have a twitter and interested in following our progress or asking to get on or feedback feel free to follow us here: https://twitter.com/VNBroadcastClub

I love me some deredere heroines but many times they can be a bit shallow or lacking in character development (Asuho in Hoshimemo for example but I still like her a lot!) I think an interesting one that has very solid and even unexpected development is Tsubaki from G-senjou no Maou. Sakura from Fate/Stay kinda fits albeit with what she went through I wasn't surprised. I would personally say Kotori from Rewrite was a nice (but not super deredere) girl and she had some fantastic development. But yeah just any you can think of, even if it's a decent amount of character development that's not even in their route would be coo

Finally here, Himawari -The Sunflower- released

I don't mind character drama over "deep" plot. In fact, I usually prefer those. -

I'm interested in this VN since people talked it up but don't know much about it Only thing I know is it starts off slice of life-y (which I dont mind since I like that stuff a lot) but then it has lots of interesting character development and plot twists related to the enforced route order? -

If you don't know how Sharin's route style it's basically set where the main plot and character development of every heroine is always canon no matter which route you take (outside bad endings of course). This is due to a chapter system. The only scenes that are different are H scenes you get during / after a route and some ending scenes for the couple. One thing that bugs me from time to time is how some heroines' (and even males/MCs) development is reset in other routes, especially if there are VNs with 'true' routes. There are some VNs where technically all the development happens but not in the same timeline/universe (won't say due to spoilers) but I'm not talking about VNs that do this in a convoluted way. Whether it's a chapter system or just some way for all major planned heroines/characters to get development in one story but still getting the option to choose who you end up would be nice to me. Consistency is the main key. I guess the only flaws of this system I could think of are: You're forced to go through the development of characters you don't care about. This could cause people to not like the VN as much especially if they love the typical route system. Some may argue you might as well just make this a linear/kinetic visual novel if you do it this way and not even worry about getting with different girls? Anyways, while I'm not sure if I'd want this to be the standard I'd like for more visual novels to try this method more even if it's not the popular method. What do you guys think? Would you want this method to be tried more or do you prefer the typical route system?

What is the most important part in a Visual Novel for you?
NowItsAngeTime replied to Arcadeotic's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Characters > Story/General Feel > Romance > H Scenes > Music > Setting/Atmosphere > Art > "Prose" (I legit dont care about this but apparently lots of people do)
