It can be based on how cute/hot they are, if you like their outfit, hair, overall design, whatever criteria you want. Doesn't necessarily have to be your best girl/guy/waifu/husbando (but if you want to keep to them only go for it). In terms of most pretty as a whole, definitely gotta give it to Kotori from Rewrite (also my fav VN character/waifu) Miyako in a certain part of MajiKoi A-1 Azumi's route has become one of my recent favs. Rin Tohsaka from Fate is up there in overall attractiveness Asuho from Hoshimemo is simple but cute. Maybe I have a thing for short hair redheads cuz I also like Ageha from If My Heart Had Wings I like Umi from Koirizo quite a bit.

I don't want to use the word "overrated" since Id like to keep this topic more subjective I couldn't get into Planetarian since it was a bit too short especially compared to other KEY works I get why people like Saya but I personally thought it was a little too hardcore for my tastes

Kotori from Rewrite is my waifu. This sprite was pretty rare but shows one of my favorite parts of her personality... she knows how to be goofy and fun without being obnoxious. It took me a bit to find this one but thankfully those random trading cards of visual novels exist.

Im always down for a VN thats cool is to make you feel good.. by that I mean by kinda inspiring, light hearted, fun slice of life stuff, or comedy optional as long as its not too wacky and over the top. So basically you just like someone whos legit just good and knowledgable at what they're doing which doesnt necessarily mean super powerful ultra badass. So basically competent in your eyes means knowing what to do to get the job and doing it but at the expense of having a typical/generic/boring personality (aka the super stoics, the insecure tsunderes, etc) I dont think your description was particularly SJW, more well rounded competent characters of both genders would be nice (though I still get amused by some anime/VN stereotypes of course).

That's an interesting trait to point out. There are strong/competent females out there (in the action and mind game department) but you seem to prefer more 'normal'/realistic girls who are just complete packages, know everything about what's around them and just have general good mental strength over typical anime badass. They also seem to not be characterized by one or two particular personality traits like many characters. Do I have the right idea?

Are they usually the tsundere? The one with long black hair? The canon (or most likely canon) love interest? The most badass one? The non-datable minor character? If there's no common trait you can find feel free to post some best girls to see if people can find something. I tend to like the nice/friendly/happy girls with maybe a dose of energeticness or weirdness. While slice of lifes are my favorite genre, I generally like ones that are more relaxing/feel-good/healing based as opposed to comedy ones (though I'm not opposed to those either) The problem is I feel like I've watched a lot of the more popular ones already. I finished Nagi no Asukara/A Lull in the Sea. It was pretty good, probably had a bit too much melodrama at times but I liked the character development and a bunch of the themes.

I've been on fuwanovel a handful of times in the past but haven't really made the effort to try to post or get into the community till now. Gonna try to be more active starting today, so hello everyone.

VN Overview You may have heard the occasional theory of a potential catgirl 'dystopia' in a certain popular catgirl VN. (given that in a sense catgirls in that world could basically be seen as slaves). This visual novel will take that theory to a logical extreme in that sense. Catgirls will be used and abused negatively by humans and it will eventually turn into a rebellion/war started by those who want to fight for Catgirl rights. There will be a decent amount of realistic military action, the setting will take place in Japan (of course). At the moment, we're planning to have 3 routes. This VN at the moment is not going to have explicit H scenes. Current Project Team I'm currently the project manager of this whole VN We have the main writer who's written the major scenarios planned out, as well as a timeline (history wise) as well as a timeline that will be referred to for writing specific scenarios We have an editor who mostly reviews our scenario documents, records meetings when we have them and will likely be an editor of the VN when it's released We have a programmer who will be programming the VN through Renpy We have someone who will contribute to making music There are a few people who came up with the original idea of the VN and have helped make some character concepts. Current Progress At this point we have the major scenarios planned for this VN written out. We also have all the major characters' personalities and backstories written up in addition to a few secondary characters. We have Renpy set up and know some general ideas of how we're going to use it. Our next task, in addition to looking for art, is to start actually writing dialogue. Looking for Artist Right now, we're looking for an Artist. For the most part, we just want art that we think would be fitting for the setting and plot. That said, we're very open to artist interpretation and freedom. Our highest priority at the moment is looking for someone who can at least make art for our characters given their personalities and physical descriptions. Backgrounds would be nice too but since one of our teammates is currently living in Japan, he can easily take photos and blur them a bit. We have a Discord server where we keep all our documentation (we'd rather not show it publicly at the moment) so if/when an artist joins our group, we'd like for him/her to join the Discord server to read the documentation as well as post progress for us.
