Between these two series I'll always pick Majikoi, not because I disliked Grisaia or anything of the sort but I just happen to love the Majikoi series as a whole and it's cast of characters. There are so many of them that I like that in order to rank them I'd have to think for a good while about it.

Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order
 
Period is based on a point system that awards points to each character depending on the choice you chose. For simplicity's sake I compiled all of the point choices into basic choices for each character. With the exception of one choice no points are taken for different choices but the choices will affect what summer you have and what heroine you get at the end. The choices below are only the ones that give points, anything I left out will have no impact on your route. Also note that some choices below may not appear depending on some choices beforehand. ★ means the choice doesn't matter in that specific route.
 
There is no route order required to understand the story, but to get all the routes you have to play two characters at a specific point. Asahi will need at least two other girls AND Miyu's route completed for her route to appear. Koto's route will only appear after you complete ALL of the other routes. if you do wish for an order I suggest:
Miyu/Yukina/Rin/Aoi/Kohane/Tsuzumi/Asahi/Koto

Hi there . I just read through Narcissu:Sumire and want to gush about it for a bit. If you've never liked the series, this one won't change your mind, but if you enjoyed the first two games, I very much recommend this one. I didn't dig the more recent installments too much, but I feel Sumire brings back the "real Narcissu". Narcissu Side2nd is still my favorite, but hey, that one is hard to top in my heart. Sumire contains the "usual Narcissu shenanigans", which is perfect in my books.

If you've read Ame No Marginal, one of the subplots (I guess) in Sumire might ring some bells. A bit of a fantasy touch. I will avoid spoilers here, though. Narcissu:Sumire features two parallel stories, and you can read them in whichever order you choose.

I've indulged in every word of Narcissu available, so I like to think I know the author's techniques quite well. Still, the ending chapters in Sumire got me pretty good. I'm glad I spent the 4-5 hours reading it (I'm slow), and this one will stick with me for a fair while. If you've played the game, hopefully you can share your thoughts here as well.

Summary

Takayuki, 32, is casually cleaning his room when he discovers an ominous letter. The sender? His pen pal Aya Fumino whom he exchanged letters with during his high school days 15 years ago. Filled to the brim with nostalgia and curious as to why Aya would have written such a letter and how it mysteriously appeared, he makes his way to Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, in search of his long lost companion.
Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order
There are 5 endings: Crossing Paths, Cursed Letter, Princess of Himegamori Forest, A Government Plot, and The Bond of Marriage.
A Government Plot and The Bond of Marriage are unlocked upon getting your first ending. I would recommend going Crossing Paths -> Cursed Letter -> Princess of Himegamori Forest -> A Government Plot -> The Bond of Marriage.
Route Guideline
All of the routes / ends are based on your P.S. replies to Aya's letters at the beginning of each Chapter. Upon getting your first ending, you can use your Smartphone's SKIP function to jump to the beginning of the next Chapter. Sadly, you cannot skip Chapter 8 and have to play through it when trying to get into routes.

This thing pops up in almost every discussion comparing the merits of different works and it always makes me pissed.
Of course taste is subjective. Of course this is my opinion, and the purpose of the post was to make that known. Of course no one is wrong by liking any of these works. 
Jesus christ, it's like people have a hard-on for saying obvious things. 
It feels almost insulting that someone would think I'm either trolling or that I believe in some objective VN rating thingy because I said something was trash, bad, mediocre, good or great. 
I just don't care to add "but hey that's just my opinion" to every time I talk about something since people ought to know that already. 
...But this is just a giant offtopic rant, lol. 
Fata Morgana is slow. The whole first chapter didn't capture me, and there was this period when I was starting to read every other chapter where I didn't care about anything that was going on, and it lasted far too long for me. 
The artsyle is weird. I guess when I got used to that it helped with giving style to the game, but for a large portion of me reading that it was offputting. 
I like that experimental works like that exist, and I find it a healthy thing and am overall happy it has its fanbase, though I'm not willing to support it and am not part of that fanbase.

Hey guys! This is a new OEVN by Neat Studios. They've already been fully funded and are reaching their stretch goals. 
Pitch - Cat girls have gained their independence but you alone have the power to conquer their heart. A secret only you know and a power only you possess. Is a cat girl themed visual novel with a good storyline and gameplay something you want? Well boy do we have a story for you!

Summary - It's been 25 years since the nekos were freed, but things are no better now than they were years ago. Most live in slums and some resort back to selling their bodies or doing domestic work. Now with rumors of a conspiracy arising to send them back to slavery, a charismatic, charming, influential, likable, intelligent, and compassionate man is tasked and given the power to help hide the Nekos that poses as students in his school and help close the racial divide in society. Unfortunately however...you got it instead... 

Genre - Romantic Comedy/Mystery/Ecchi 

Gameplay - The players will play as Yutei Nagamichi, an angsty, stubborn, and hilarious smart-ass who has to collect clues to help him befriend and earn the trust of his peers and the Nekos in his school in order to convince them to join the Neko Club. Yutei must get them to join before they are captured by Detective Kowayama. The players will be given uneasy choices to choose from to try and achieve this goal. The players will face several obstacles. First and foremost is that the cat girls he has to help start off as very irritating and provocative, which might make the players want to choose certain options like witty comebacks instead of more friendly and submissive choices.  

Second is that on occasions, Detective Kowayama will interrupt the flow of the story with plot twists in an attempt to put the main character on edge. A third obstacle in this game is the main character himself. If he suppresses his emotions too much, Yutei will begin to detonate and his rash emotions will definitely hurt his chances of befriending the Nekos. In short, it's a balancing act between making friends and being true to himself. 

The players should pay very special attention to what the characters in the game are saying and piece together the clues to evoke the right reactions. This takes some social skills which Yutei does not have.
