I actually liked those repeating lines with "red colour" and "so what"s, it just depends on the person. I'd say just give it a try and see for yourself. Most of the hate is on xx character, and enforced route or whatnot, which doesn't really matter until the latter half of the game. Of course, you can always hijack a save file from someone if you're that desperate. Being the oddball, I didn't really like Kagome as a character (come@me), her route is pretty thrilling regardless. Hisoka's character and route left a pretty big impression on me. Oh, and, Benio's cute. Even though by the end, her dialogues gets more cringe every time it shows up
