Hoping to get that VN released in 2016. There have been minor delays due to laptop dying but progress is coming along well.

You can swap to offline mode after logging on, or it'll default there if you aren't connected at all. The exception is games with Always-Online DRM built in, as opposed to Steam's base system. You still need to be online to download, though.

Confession: I bought Rocket League today How do I hit the ball D:

Welcome! o/ I'll admit that some of us probably aren't the best at making friends, but we're a nice bunch nonetheless. Nice to meet you!

How do I introduce myself and hold a conversation?

I think I got it, but I just got my brother's laptop back so and I can't quite remember what in specific it was you said. Could you remind me? People are busy sometimes - right now I'm still trying to grasp the fundamental's of what everybody is best at. Some business can occur, and while it's certainly good to learn to get stuff done under suboptimal circumstances there's no need to feel overly pressured when it doesn't go through. See you on the Email chain. I think you were looking for artwork to use in-game. I was perusing sets of pictures on Dreamstime, and there's some stuff that probably usable, but it takes credits (which you purchase). I actually have an account with some credits on it, and it is legal to use the ones downloaded (though it's a good idea to add the source of the picture(s) in your credits). If you had an idea of what you want and the general height x width size you want I'd be glad to download some for the novel. If I'm remembering correctly, it wasn't for in-game use, rather a reference to understand the tone of the setting and for use in the main writing. Setting isn't as much of a specialty as character on my end and while I do have a small document of that it's not really anything strong enough to be sustainable with some of the government-bending in the background, since that now seems to be a heavier factor than was originally intended.

valve has the power to not let users download steam app, not use personal information (paypal only would be better), treat developers nicely ($100 for greenlight is wrong), and stop breaking international laws (fr and au government are suing valve). you only looking at the mask that valve has place in steam, if you look a little closer you see a monster. The fee for greenlight is as a method of avoiding a flood of spam or or infringing by putting someone else's work up. Sadly there is some degree of spam regardless but a 100$ one time fee is easily reasonable for a serious developer. The sues regarding resales are because it's an issue nobody has managed to solve yet without harmful DRM due to the differences between digital and physical media. Please do your research.

Good luck.

Do not waste your money yet. If the deal comes, great. If it does not, wait like a patient little boy until it does. I've waited over 3 years to buy games I want, you know? Tiago help I need to find out how to fit a police station into a two bedroom apartment.

Good luck.

I'd say get it anyway. Beyond that, The Beginner's Guide is on sale too, so I'm definitely picking that up. The rest depends on a lot of stuff.

WHAT THE FUCK This happens to me too while I'm asleep. At this point I think I'm just getting tickled by my arm hair under my pillow.

Anyone know if Valmore's still here? Need an assist concluding concrete number-details in Scene 9.

How is it (UnderRail)? It looks interesting and I added it to my wishlist to see when it gets a discount (a discount that isn't 6% I mean) but I know nothing about it. I found it quite good - it's similar to the older Fallouts but beyond that there's some modern design polish with regards to the oddity system. Sadly however it seems to be focused more around skill-based stuff rather than player choice with regards to roleplaying and narrative which makes me sad : <

Well, Underrail and Undertale are quite good. How about Rocket League?

Radical visual novel ideas.... Share them here!
Zodai replied to CeruleanGamer's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I honestly can't figure out what to say about a lot of these. Thinking about a radical VN plot usually has to do with understanding the writing principles behind them. We're doing the avoiding tropes part but seem to be pinpointing on what the important part of the concept is. But, I digress. ---A man is conscripted to defend against an alien menace that invades peoples minds and attacks them in their dreams. It turns out he's an insane man in a coma and that everything's caused by his girlfriend's ghost seeking revenge because he murdered her. -
Propaganda Games: Games becoming real, in the worst way
Zodai replied to babiker's topic in General Discussion
Not exactly a game, but it pulls from a lot of game-related design principles to enforce order. There's a comment somewhere in there that claims it's a misunderstanding, but I've not been able to confirm or deny anything myself. -
wait, IS RITTY NASHETANIA!? holy fuck, I thought the way he talked was familiar lol. Wb I guess Wait what I didn't know this either.

Science is fun. Not the field I'm best at, but those kinds of logic tests can do a man well, at least once you get past the subpar education system like the one here in the US.

A Look Into my History as a (Beginner) Writer

I'd go through this and rant but I don't wanna spoil myself ^^ -
KAWASUMIS FUCKING AWESOME 500 POST SPECIAL AmA!
Zodai replied to Kawasumi's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
And for the record, the VN is totally getting finished. In all honesty I'm taking that as an inevitability at this point, for better or worse. I'm no stranger to having a hard time getting things straight, just remember to keep getting yourself improving and to have something to solve in the meantime. Get the basic pieces together and then your head can work on expanding upon them in the meantime. Then when you get back to work it'll be a lot easier to get running xD Just see if you can cut out some spaces of time if you're having a hard time figuring out stuff on the fly. I'll keep working out stuff on my end xD And congratulations! Good luck with everything -
Which Visual Novels Would You Like To See Get Translated?
Zodai replied to Kimanor's topic in Visual Novel Talk
These ones are actually on that beginner's Untranslated reading list (omitting Subahibi since it's hopefully coming soon) so they wouldn't be too late in ones reading experiences regarding that. Do you mean that troll pic? I mean a picture but I'm not aware of it being trolly. Got it from Zealty. -
